Paris (18th arrondissement): A passer-by claims that a stranger threatened to cut her throat with a cutter knife while shouting ‘Allah Akbar’. The suspect, an Algerian migrant, is arrested without resistance

This morning, as part of a report in La Chapelle, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, we happened to witness this arrest.

A local resident had previously reported to the police that a stranger had threatened to cut her throat in the street. The attacker, who was wielding a cutter knife, is said to have repeated ‘Allah Akbar’ or ‘There is only one God’ several times while running his thumb over her neck.

A four-man police crew was quickly on the scene to arrest the attacker based on his description. The perpetrator was arrested on the pavement. The perpetrator began to speak foreign language texts with his hands under his armpits while half-closing his eyes as if he was in some kind of intoxicated state.

Finally, he was handcuffed without resisting and then taken into the police vehicle to be taken into police custody.

According to our information, he is a man of Algerian nationality. The scene took place just a few metres away from the place where a very violent brawl between Afghan drug dealers had taken place at the weekend. Amaury Bucco – Valeurs actuelles
