Man does not want to shout “Free Palestine”: Three men beat him up and seriously injure him in Berlin, Germany

Three so far unknown perpetrators attacked a 36-year-old man from Berlin last night in the district of Spandau, causing life-threatening injuries. Beforehand, they asked him to shout a slogan. When he refused, the three men punched and kicked him, police said. According to the newspaper Berliner Zeitung, the attackers demanded that their victim shout the anti-Israeli slogan “Free Palestine”.

The victim lost consciousness in the meantime. An ambulance took the man to hospital with severe head injuries. So far, there is no information on whether the attackers and the victim knew each other.

Again and again, Palestinians and Arabs bring the Middle East conflict to German cities. In Berlin in 2018, for example, two Jews wearing kippas were mobbed and attacked with a belt on the open street by youths with a corresponding migrant background. As recently as September, there was a brutal attack on an Israel vigil in Hamburg. One of the suspects was later arrested in Berlin.
