Nemo propheta in patria (no man is a prophet in his own land)…But on August 21, 2021, I wrote:
“‘The Taliban have defeated the West,’ says Lord Dannatt, former head of the British military mission in Afghanistan. London today sends its military to evacuate British citizens in Kabul. Tomorrow what will you do with the English cities that have fallen into the hands of the same Islamic fundamentalists?”.
November 11 was Remembrance Day in Great Britain, the day on which the English solemnly remember all those who have fallen in the nation’s wars. A huge event emotionally, no doubt due to the country’s heavy losses in the First World War.
The largest demonstration in English history marched through the streets of London shouting. “Allahu Akbar”.
The capital of Great Britain now has a huge minority with abominable values. Some in Parliament appease them because they want their votes. Others fear confrontation. And the Islamic marches in London are an indication that society is about to collapse.
“We will honor our martyrs,” they chanted outside King’s College in London.
It is not contempt for Britain by Muslims. They are telling the country: “We are the future”.
This London is upside down. Officials of the mayor, Sadiq Khan, contacted the theaters that were to host Eric Zemmour to dissuade them. The journalist candidate for the 2022 French presidential elections (who lives under police protection and is threatened with beheading) could not find a room in London for his conference.
But those who threaten to behead Westerners can march in London. Now, half of Britain’s mosques are under the control of the same Islamic movement from which the Taliban emerged. Deobandis run 738 of Britain’s 1,600 mosques, according to a police report revealed by The Times.
The mayor of London also lit up the capital with festive lights for Ramadan.
Kettlethorpe High School in West Yorkshire suspended four children for accidentally scratching a Koran. An imam showed up at the meeting at the school, calling for zero tolerance for “disrespect for the holy Quran… to which we will sacrifice our lives.”
This is why the head of MI6 (the British secret service), Sir John Sawers, recommended self-censorship, warning the British not to offend Islam if they want to prevent terrorists from launching attacks in the country: “If there is a lack of respect for the fundamental values of others, then you are about to provoke an angry reaction. We in the West must be moderate.”
This is the truth: the UK and European governments are realizing that the domestic fifth column is now too big to be governed by the threat of force.
In London, meanwhile, Her Majesty’s Leader of the Opposition, Sir Keir Starmer, and his Labor colleagues were busy celebrating “Islamophobia Awareness Month”.
That great English writer Gilbert Keith Chesterton would have been proud of it, he who in 1914 wrote “The Flying Tavern”, a dystopian novel that tells the story of England’s Islamic conversion. Women from London to Birmingham veil themselves, no alcohol, no pork, no paintings (carpets that “do no harm to anyone are enough: they just decorate”), prayers five times a day, Ramadan… Orders are given to destroy the vineyards.
“Why should we be so vain as to believe that the only remedy for the East is the West,” declares Lord Ivywood, the loyal crescent MP. “If we have to give a representative government to English Muslims we must not make the mistake of asking them to mark a cross on the electoral list: it seems silly but it may offend them. So I introduced a small reform by allowing an optional symbol, between the ancient cross and a curved sign, which could be the crescent and which, since it is simpler to make, will be generally accepted.”
This is the greatness of visionary writers. One wonders how Chesterton could have imagined such a thing in 1904, when there was not a single Muslim or a visiting imam in London.
You can still find alcohol in London, but much less criticism of Islam.
At the famous Saatchi Gallery in London, two nude works with Arabic writing were removed after complaints from Muslims. The Whitechapel Art Gallery has removed an exhibition featuring naked dolls that could have upset the Muslim population. The Mall Gallery censored the paintings with a family of puppets, “ISIS threatens Sylvania”. The Tate Gallery withdrew the work “God Is Great” because it showed a copy of the Quran. The Victoria and Albert Museum has withdrawn a portrait of Muhammad. And when “The Jewel of Medina”, Sherry Jones’ novel about Muhammad’s third wife, was bought by the Gibson Square publishing house, the publisher’s house was burned down in London.
Meanwhile, London Bridge has collapsed…
Meanwhile, English Jews were becoming “moderate”. “I am more afraid for my daughter with the Star of David on the London Underground than for my son in the Israeli army in Gaza” said the MP Lord Wolfson in the House of Lords.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Lieberman, an English rabbi who lives in Netanya, Israel, launched an appeal to his friends who remained in England: “Friends and family in the UK, it’s time to leave: the door is closing behind you.”
But what happens in Europe’s streets does not only concern Jews, who have somewhere to go; it’s about Europeans. And the door is closing for them too.
