Germany: Muslim stabbed refugee to death who had fled from Syrian Islamists because he had made negative remarks about Islam – but he did not have to go to prison for it

A quarrel among refugees resulted in carnage in the small town.

Three months after the murder in a pizzeria in Neustadt am Rübenberge (Hanover region), the public prosecutor’s office in Hanover has requested that the Somali Abdi R. (22) be placed in a psychiatric ward.

Detention instead of jail!

The bloody attack on Wunstorfer Street shocked the small town. On August 19, armed with a bread knife, the Somali ran his bicycle into the bicycle of the Yazidi Nayyef A. († 32), who was on his way to the supermarket with his sister ( aged 47) in the early evening.

Suddenly, he stabbed him and chased his fleeing victim to a pizzeria. In the salesroom he fatally stabbed the Yazidi in the chest and neck. Mr. A. bled to death. Courageous pizzeria employees overpowered the killer, officers arrested him.

As a motive, the young Muslim from Mogadishu stated that the Jeside had insulted his religion. For the murder, however, he is not to go to prison, but to a clinic. According to expert reports, he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and from post-traumatic stress disorder caused by his flight, and is considered incapable of guilt.

Soon, the Regional Court of Hanover will decide on the placement of the 22-year-old.
