Horrible bloody deed in Saxony: An Afghan (36) allegedly killed his wife (33) in front of their five children in a mother/father-child home in Crimmitschau. The newspaper BILD interviewed an eyewitness, a young father.
For the witness, it is initially a normal day in the residential home of the Crimmitschau association FAB (“Association for the Promotion of Training, Employment, Counselling and Care for Young People and Adults”). Like many other mothers and fathers, he receives support there in coping with his life situation. In other words, so that the child is not taken away from them.
“When I woke up my daughter after her nap, I suddenly heard loud screams from a child,” he recalls. But at first he was not concerned. But then the cries became more and more dramatic and one child sobbed and shouted, “Mummy, mummy, he’s killing my mummy.
When the young father stepped into the hallway, he saw something unbelievably horrific: “The Afghan father was crouching wordlessly over his bloodied wife with a knife. Then he noticed me. The killer looked me in the eye directly after the crime. His look was both threatening and fearful. He stood up and was about to walk towards me with the knife when several caregivers joined him.”
Everyone then ran away. The suspected killer fled from the house. Called police officers finally caught him a few hundred metres further on the main road in the neighbouring village of Neukirchen.
The day after the crime, police officers searched his escape route. He had probably thrown away the bloodstained knife on the way. The police did not want to say on Sunday whether they found it. Nor would they say anything about a possible or suspected motive.
According to BILD information, the Afghan mother and her five children (aged 4 months to 12 years) were admitted to the facility last spring. The husband and father of the children did not live in the house, but came for visits.
