The memorial plaque in honor of Samuel Paty was vandalized again. As Factuel reported on Monday, June 26, this is the sixth incident since February of this year against the memorial plaque, which is located in Samuel Paty Square in the fifth arrondissement of Paris. The incidents reportedly occurred on June 21. The name of Samuel Paty was reportedly scratched in an attempt to remove it. The municipality of the V. Arrondissement was contacted by Le Parisien and stated that it had been alerted “48 hours ago by an email from a resident.” Municipal councillor Florence Berthout (DVD) said that “the road authority has been called in” and that “the sign will be restored to its original state.”
Speaking to Factuel, Mickaëlle Paty, sister of the teacher who was beheaded by an Islamist terrorist in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine on October 16, 2020, responded. She expressed particular anger, recalling that the place “should be under surveillance to prevent this kind of event from happening.” However, this is still not the case, she lamented. The municipality of the V.
