‘Foreigners get out’: Pakistani family fakes right-wing extremist arson attack in Wächtersbach,Germany

‘Foreigners get out’ could be read in the ruined fire. The allegedly racially motivated arson attack on a Pakistani family in Wächtersbach made headlines across Germany at the end of last year. Almost a year later, that family will have to answer to the Hanau district court from Monday (9.00 am). The charges are insurance fraud and arson.

The public prosecutor’s office accuses the family of setting fire to their own house in the Main-Kinzig district and faking a right-wing extremist attack. The motive is said to have been to collect the insurance sum of around 350,000 euros.
On the night of Christmas Day 2023, the house fire caused a national stir because racist slogans were found on the walls of twelve parts of the building after the fire was extinguished. Initially, police state security investigated a political crime.

According to the Hanau public prosecutor’s office, however, the accused sprayed these slogans themselves in order to create a false trail and divert attention from their own offences. In March, the police and public prosecutor’s office announced the turnaround in the investigation. As a result, all five defendants were initially remanded in custody.
The main accused are the 48-year-old owner of the house and his 35-year-old brother-in-law. Both are alleged to have set fire to the house. The wife of the accused, the couple’s 19-year-old son and a 56-year-old friend of the family are suspected of complicity.
The accused homeowner is said to have suffered burns during the arson. The family friend is said to have deliberately lied to the investigators and claimed that the burns were caused by an alleged accident in the kitchen. According to the indictment, further investigations revealed that the family had already offered numerous furnishings for sale on the internet beforehand and had allegedly removed valuables from the house and secured them.

As one of the defendants is an adolescent, the trial will take place before the juvenile chamber of the district court. According to the court’s plans, it could be a long hearing of evidence, as the chamber has already scheduled 14 trial days until the end of February 2025.

  1. Recalling my law studies from decades ago I believe that the underpinning of an insurance contract is the Latin dictum ‘uberrimae fidei (sp). Translated this means ‘utmost good faith’.
To a Muslim that is simply an impossible concept.

  2. One can be sure to 100%: the state controlled media never will publish anything about this veritable scandal. As usual.
