According to information from newspaper BILD, the “Miss Germany” producers and the newly crowned winner know each other.
(…) At the event, Schönauer made it clear that she is in favour of women’s rights, with a focus on Iran. “I think Germany needs to open its arms a little wider and allow us to become more diverse,” she told the German Press Agency before the final round. At the same time, she called on women with a migration background to integrate: “I have always celebrated Christmas and my Persian New Year.”
