On Thursday, police officers were called to a flat in Vienna Floridsdorf. A 41-year-old woman accused her ex-husband of threatening her and becoming violent. The police officers brought the woman to the police station to record her statement against the Turkish ex-husband. The police officers called the ex-husband from the police station and informed him that he was banned from entering and approaching her. After making her statement, the woman went home. What she had not expected: Her violent ex-husband was already waiting for her at the front door and attacked her with a knife.
Witnesses called the ambulance and the police, the suspect fled in his car. The woman was taken to hospital by a Viennese ambulance with serious injuries. There is no danger to her life. The suspect was temporarily arrested in the course of the immediate search. The suspected weapon, a kitchen knife, was found in the car and seized. The Vienna Regional Criminal Police Office, North Branch, has taken over the investigation. The 46-year-old Turk is being detained by the police and will be questioned in the course of today.
