A 33-year-old resident of Le Puy-en-Velay, who claimed to be the victim of a conspiracy but acted out of desperation and “wanted to be treated”, was arrested on Friday outside the police station in Le Puy-en-Velay for threatening violence because he was carrying a knife.
On Monday afternoon, a 36-year-old man residing in Le Puy-en-Velay was on trial for glorification of an act of terrorism, damage to property, drug abuse and carrying a stabbing weapon. On Friday November 3, he was arrested outside the police station in Le Puy. The man had shouted “Allahu akbar” and “I will commit an assassination” under the windows of the police officers and after damaging three police vehicles. He had brought a 17 cm long stabbing weapon with him.
