She was referring to Samuel Paty, a history and geography teacher who had been murdered by a terrorist in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine in October 2020. On November 29, she was then brought before the disciplinary council. The latter pronounced her definitive expulsion. At the same time, the group on violence against persons of the Sûreté Urbaine in Elancourt initiated proceedings for glorification of terrorism, the newspaper continues. The teacher for Spanish language, who was shocked by her pupil’s words, has been on sick leave since the events, Le Parisien reports. She was heard as part of the investigation, as was the headmaster of the Collège.Other people were also questioned, e.g. classmates of the young girl who were present during the lessons. They were able to confirm their statements. The pupil, who was summoned on December 7, partially admitted the incidents, but was not aware of their extent. Her mother told investigators about her daughter’s difficult and provocative behaviour, as reported by Le Parisien. The teenager was summoned to the Unité Educative auprès du Tribunal (UEAT) on the advice of the public prosecutor. She is to be brought before a juvenile court judge on January 10.
