A priest in Avignon, France, is insulted by four youths who threaten to set fire to his church

A priest from the Montfavet parish in Avignon in the Vaucluse department was reportedly threatened on Saturday evening, May 10.
At around 7.50pm, four young adults made contact with him and asked him to go into the church. Once inside, they insulted the priest and declared on the property that they wanted to set the building on fire before running away.
The victim has since pressed charges. An investigation has been launched. The church will be secured for the service on Sunday May 11, a police source told Valeurs actuelles.
