A knife in his hand and he shouts to her “Allah Akbar”. An Egyptian national who was chased by police on the night of October 31 in the historic center of Piacenza sowed fear and panic on Halloween night. When he reached Piazza Cavalli, the man who felt chased allegedly took a 53-year-old Geocart operator hostage, who was working as a night sweeper with a colleague. From a first reconstruction, from a side street to the square, the foreign citizen appeared, waving a knife and shouting Allah Akbar. The man, who was chased by police, would have caught the operator of Geocart trying to protect himself from the agents, and with a knife he would have wounded the victim in the buttocks. Fortunately, the victim kept his purse in his trouser pocket, an item that would have mitigated the plug. In the agitated phases, the operator would have fallen to the ground, including a wound in his hand and a cracked rib. Even before that, the Egyptian citizen, a 34-year-old criminal and illegal immigrant, allegedly injured a police officer. The assailant was arrested on charges of attempted murder. Carabinieri also intervened on the spot.
