Two Syrians were sentenced today in Görlitz to suspended sentences of two years and ten months respectively for sexual abuse. One of the two must also pay 2,000 euros to a charitable institution. According to the indictment, they had abused two 13-year-old girls.
No prison sentence, but probation. Nevertheless, only one of the two convicts left the district court without handcuffs. Police officers were waiting for the other one in front of the courtroom. An arrest warrant had been issued for him. The urgent suspicion was that he had committed sexual offences against a female minor in another case.
The arrest warrant was suspended a short time later – because of contradictory statements.
