Italian truckers are currently successfully blocking major highways in the country to protest against mandatory Covid jabs and the vaccine passport known as the “Green Pass” in Italy. Farmers have joined the protest by blocking local roads.
This week, truckers, bikers and farmers joined hands to force the abolition of the Covid passport. They have been calling on Italians to stock up on food supplies – expected to run out soon. In addition, truckers recommend that all Italians stay at home. The mainstream media totally ignored the anti-pass blockades.
Italians were never consulted and no vote took place but despite that the Draghi administration on Thursday said digital vaccine certificates would be mandatory for all employees across the country.
The Covid pass will be available in both digital and paper formats.
According to Italian daily La Stampa, who cited traffic authorities, the protest “did not cause widespread disruption” on September 27. But the demonstrations were intended to disrupt traffic for the entire week.
“Italy is the only European state that also requires the Green Pass to work. Only illegal immigrants, criminals and squatters do not need a government pass.” The president of Fratelli d’Italia, Giorgia Meloni, pointed out on Facebook that only Italians were now subject to severe discrimination in order to work.
Italy has imposed one of the most strict vaccine mandates in the world starting in October by requiring workers in public or private jobs to show proof of vaccination or lose their pay.
“The EU Commission is asked what initiatives it intends to implement in order to avoid discrimination and the risk of social exclusion resulting from the new provisions on the Green Pass established by the Italian government. In fact, according to the Treaty on the Functioning of the Union, adequate protection from the danger of social exclusion must be guaranteed, combating discrimination also through legal protection measures for potential victims.”
This was part of a question to the EU Commission presented by the FdI MEP Vincenzo Sofo on July 17, in which he stated that he would encourage member states to avoid any form of discrimination linked to the digital Covid Certificate.
The Telegram messaging app has meanwhile blocked the anti-vaccine ‘Basta Dittatura’ [No More Dictatorship] channel and chat group with more than 40 000 subscribers after Turin prosecutors asked the company based in Dubai to do so as an act of “voluntary cooperation”.
The chat and channel had been used by various groups to organise demonstrations against the “Green Pass” – the Covid-19 vaccine passport. The channel had also published the addresses and telephone numbers of institutional figures, doctors and newspaper editors pushing vaccine propaganda.
The prosecutor who is dealing with the case, Valentina Sellaroli, saw her email published online inviting everyone to flood her email inbox with complaints. And the call had evidently worked. “They published private data of specific doctors and called for their execution. Inciting violence is against Telegram’s terms of service”.
“Let’s shit on them,” “Impale her alive”, “To the pillory in the square” angry users had written on the chat.
Pro-vax politicians, journalists and health officials had filed complaints about being targeted by the group. According to the Turin magistrates, incitement to commit a crime and violation of privacy were the main reasons for demanding their closure.
As soon as it was banned, another group emerged with a similar mission.
