A man with Tunisian nationality, listed in the S-card index for glorifying terrorism, was arrested on Friday in Briançon in the Hautes-Alpes, BFM DICI has learned. The man had been under surveillance by French domestic intelligence for several weeks.
The man was arrested when thefts were reported at the Leclerc shopping centre in Briançon last weekend. A patrol of the police station was called to the scene and carried out traffic controls.
During one of these checks, four people were arrested in a vehicle. One of the persons was immediately released, while the other three, who resided illegally in France, were detained.
