  1. In Sweden the lawmakers are about to do something extremely stupid and also very telling: It is likely that it will become illegal to desecrate qurans but NOT ANY OTHER religious books and symbols.
    If so, can it be any clearer?
    They should better hide their purpose behind a general law against incitement to religious hatred like all other western states with such laws have done, but because Sweden is Sweden they will probably walk straight into this trap and then islam will have special protection, formally.
