Trudeau: I Had to Use Martial Law to Suppress Freedom Convoy Because “What If Someone Had Gotten Hurt”?

A totalitarian clown doesn’t stop being a clown just because he’s also a totalitarian.

As the investigation delves into Trudeau’s illegal decision to ruthlessly suppress the Freedom Convoy protests, the investigation turned up extraordinary coordination and pressure from the Biden administration.

Meanwhile Trudeau’s defense of ruthlessly suppressing a peaceful protest is, literally, “What if someone had gotten hurt?”

Not someone got hurt. What if someone had gotten hurt.

This isn’t even, “We had to destroy the village to save the village.” It’s, “We had to destroy the village because what if someone had stubbed a toe?”

Canada’s prime minister says he is “serene and confident” in his decision to invoke never-before-used emergency powers to end a protest of pandemic public health measures that occupied the nation’s capital for three weeks last winter.

Justin Trudeau told a public inquiry Friday that he had to consider what might happen if he didn’t take action to end the so-called Freedom Convoy occupation.

What might have happened.

On that theory, Trudeau has to be urgently removed from office and fitted with one of those Hannibal Lecter facemasks. True, he hasn’t drugged and cannibalized anyone yet, but we have to consider what might happen if we don’t take action.

“What if the worst had happened in those following days? What if someone had gotten hurt, what if a police officer had been put in hospital?” he said.

“I would have worn that,” he continued. “The responsibility of a prime minister is to make the tough calls and keep people safe.”

What if the government decided to deprive people of civil liberties on a massive scale on a what if pretext that didn’t actually happened.

If Justin is so worried, why didn’t he shut down Black Lives Matter riots?

Do you know who actually sent police officers to the hospital?

It was in the short time between when I wrote the piece and when it was published that “peaceful protesters” tore down the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald in Montreal, a scene that saw a viral response of dismay erupt from a large part of the nation.

Around the same time, seven police officers were injured – some sent to hospital – following a protest that got out of hand in midtown Toronto, also on Saturday. Seven. That’s a lot.

Here’s a question. A what if question.

What if Trudeau and his regime protects violent thugs they agree with while destroying the civil liberties of peaceful protesters they disagree with.

What if?
