In Salzgitter, Lower Saxony, unknown perpetrators desecrated 26 graves at the forest cemetery and destroyed three panes of a chapel. According to the police, the damage amounted to a five-figure sum.
The perpetrator or perpetrators scribbled on the outside wall of the chapel: “One grave is too much for you shitty Germans! You belong on the rubbish dump.” (sic) This was confirmed by the police when asked by the newspaper JUNGEN FREIHEIT. The gravestones were also smeared with graffiti. The investigation has been taken over by the State Security Service.
