Early on Saturday morning (11.06.2022), police were called to the suburban train station on Katzberger Street in Langenfeld. A male person was reportedly injured there with a knife. Paramedics attended to the man and took him to a hospital for further treatment. The police are looking for witnesses who can give information about the incident. The investigation so far has revealed the following: At around 2.10 a.m., a 34-year-old man from Langenfeld was travelling on the suburban train from Leverkusen to Langenfeld. During the journey, an unknown man allegedly harassed a woman, whereupon the man from Langenfeld tried to come to the woman’s aid. This resulted in an argument between the two men, who then left the train in Langenfeld. The woman allegedly continued her journey on the suburban train. On the platform, the other man allegedly pulled out a knife and injured the man from Langenfeld on his hand. The suspect fled the scene and could not be found despite an intensive search.
