Bloody act of violence in the Uhlenhorst district of Hamburg.
A 41-year-old woman was seriously injured in a knife attack on Saturday morning. A 25-year-old man from Somalia is a suspect. He allegedly stabbed the woman in the neck on the street Winterhuder Weg at around 8.40 am.
According to initial findings, the perpetrator and the victim apparently knew each other. The relationship between the two is still unclear.
After the crime, the man fled. However, he was arrested a short time later by the police near the scene of the crime.
The suspected murder weapon was also seized. The homicide squad has taken up the investigation.
Emergency doctors and paramedics treated the woman at the crime scene. She had to be taken to hospital in an ambulance, seriously injured.
