Late on Saturday afternoon ( January the 15th), a man living in the detention centre for deportees (Centre de rétention administrative – CRA) in the 12th arrondissement of Paris was identified at the police station when he visited a man registered in the wanted persons file (FPR) and classified as an Islamist terrorist ( Fiché S), we have learned. He immediately fled on foot and got into a waiting car, which tried to speed towards the police officers as they were leaving the premises. One officer made use of his gun several times, a police source said.
Inside the vehicle, two men were waiting for the person police recognised. French police BAC in Vincennes found a man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder near the centre for the deportation of refugees. The latter had been ejected from the car, which was still fleeing, a police source reported, indicating that the situation remains unclear. More information to follow…
