A 30-year-old Sudanese national was arrested in Paris on Thursday for attempting to push a woman onto the train tracks at Châtelet-les-Halles station. The incident is the latest in a long line of similar attacks on Western Europe’s public transport systems that are disproportionately committed by foreigners.
The victim, a 23-year-old woman from Massy, was suddenly and violently struck in the calf at around 3:10 p.m. while waiting for her train on the RER D platform. According to Le Parisien, the force of the blow sent her crashing to the ground just one meter from the platform’s edge as a train approached. Her attacker walked away calmly as though nothing had happened.
The woman managed to board the same train as her attacker and reported the assault to transport police officials. Upon arrival at Boussy-Saint-Antoine station in Essonne, officers arrested the suspect and took him into custody at Montgeron police station.
The man, who is in France illegally and unknown to police records, is now under investigation for attempted murder. Authorities are expected to review security footage from Châtelet-les-Halles and conduct a psychiatric evaluation.
This attack comes amid increasing concern over the disproportionate role of foreign nationals in violent crimes on public transport. According to a 2023 report by the SSMSI, the statistical bureau of France’s Interior Ministry, 69 percent of violent robberies, assaults, and sexual attacks in the Île-de-France transport network in 2022 were committed by foreign nationals.
Remix News analyzed this data at the time and found that African migrants were responsible for 52 percent of these crimes, despite making up just 3.2 percent of France’s population.
This violent trend has extended into the Netherlands, where a viral video in 2023 showed a group of young men kicking, punching, and pushing a lone male victim onto the tracks at Amsterdam’s Bijlmer ArenA station. Dutch politician Geert Wilders called it an example of the country’s “multicultural hell.”
Western Europe’s public transport networks are increasingly becoming sites of violent crime, with foreign nationals disproportionately involved.
In Germany, Deutsche Bahn reported a dramatic rise in railway violence in 2024, with 10,600 cases of physical injury recorded at train stations from January through October — already surpassing the total number for all of 2023.
Officials warned of a “continually decreasing inhibition threshold for violence” as they vowed to ramp up security measures to combat the rise in such incidents.

Police searching for the body of Rania Alayed, who was murdered by her abusive husband 12 years ago, have found human remains.
Ahmed Al-Khatib is serving a life sentence for killing the mother-of-three in a planned “honour killing” in Salford, but her body was never found.
New information led officers to return to search for the 25-year-old near the A19 in Thirsk, North Yorkshire, on Monday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
Remains have been discovered buried there, which police “strongly suspect” is Ms Alayed, the force added.
In June 2014, Al-Khatib, from Gorton, was found guilty of her murder and sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 20 years.
GMP said while no official identification had taken place Ms Alayed’s family had been informed of the find.
Her son Yazan said the discovery had “come as a surreal surprise to me and my family”.
“Being able to provide a final resting place is all we have wanted,” he said.
“To have the ability to lay down a few flowers for my mother is more than I can ask for from this world.”
Ms Alayed, formerly of Norton on Teesside before moving to Greater Manchester, had suffered years of abuse at the hands of Al-Khatib, his trial heard.
Jurors were told that he murdered his wife in a “pre-planned honour killing” because he believed she had become too westernised and was “establishing an independent life”.
The trial heard Al-Khatib then began an elaborate deception, with CCTV showing him wearing a headscarf in an attempt to pass himself off as Ms Alayed.
He messaged and texted her friends and family trying to convince them she was still alive.
Sentencing judge, Mr Justice Leggatt, told him: “The contempt you showed for Rania in death matched the contempt of how you treated her in life.”
Det Ch Insp Neil Higginson said the murder was “utterly horrific” and not knowing where her body was had “inflicted further pain to all those who knew her”.
He said: “More than a decade after her murder, we now strongly believe we have located Rania’s body and are finally able to provide closure to her family, who we know have endured so much pain and grief over the years.”

The search for Ms Alayed’s body has been focused on the A19 lay-by in recent years after one of Al-Khatib’s brothers told police she had been buried there.
Muhaned Al Khatib, of Salford, admitted perverting the course of justice by transporting and concealing Ms Alayed’s body and was given a three-year sentence.
A third brother, Hussain Al-Khatib, of Gorton, was found guilty of perverting the course of justice and jailed for four years.
Officers have combed the A19 area on several occasions but the force said after receiving new information officers located buried human remains there on Tuesday.
A cordon will remain at the scene in the coming days, police added.
The term “Manxies” – used by an Isle of Man radio station to describe locals – has been suggested by one disgruntled listener to contain “elements of a racial slur”.
Local broadcaster Manx Radio received a complaint that the use of the word “denies the individuality of each of us as a unique individual” and was met with a demand that the term should be scrapped.
The phrase “Manx people” is most often used to refer to an ethnic group from the Isle of Man, a site which became the home of Celts who spoke the language Manx – which was regularly spoken in the area until the mid-19th century.
The offended listener said: “The use of the term “Manxies” as used by Manx Radio (whom you’d have thought would know better, but obviously don’t) denies the individuality of each of us as a unique individual.
“And contains the element of a racial slur. Like calling an Irish person a “Paddy”. A Welsh person “Taffy”, for example.”
The complainant lamented that the “confusion, by design or accident, lies within the difference between an indigenous Manx person and someone merely born on the Island”.
The indigenous Manx name Curphy can be traced back for 1200 years – the individual cited as an example.
Urging the station to drop the term altogether and use the phrase “Manx people” instead, the listener added that those born on the Isle of Man are Manx, still insisting that this group was not indigenous.
When the station shared the complaint to its listeners to ask their opinion on the controversial matter, their Facebook page was met with seething locals.
One self-proclaimed “Manxie” declared: “I was born a Manxie and I’ll die a Manxie. As long as you don’t call me English I don’t really give a toss what you call me. But I will always refer to myself and fellow locals as Manxie.
“Whoever wrote that has a few screws loose and is trying to find something to be offended by so they can feel marginalised.
“With all the horrific things the UK and more specifically the English have done to the Manx people, its history and culture we really don’t need to make up stupid c**p to get offended by too.”
Another commented that, despite the Manx people being a minority on the island, they claimed that the term “at least acknowledges that we are still present and our culture is still there and is for all to embrace”.
One user slammed the “nonsense”, saying: “There are more serious happenings going on in the world today, we shouldn’t even give this stupidity a mention.”
Several commenters concurred that if the term was deployed in a derogatory context, it should be called out, although they deemed the term to be acceptable in “endearing contexts”.
One simply said: “Manxie is totally fine. We’re not woke softies offended by nicknames.”
A 35-year-old trans-identified male in Alberta, Canada, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault last week after attacking his children, during which he severed the esophagus of his 8-year-old daughter. The girl is in hospital and will require a feeding tube in what is expected to be a lengthy recovery.
Alice Michael Joseph Attwood, who uses “she/they/he” pronouns and describes himself as a “genderfluid queerdo” on social media, was arrested after the February 19 attack and appeared before a justice of the peace in Grand Prairie. The court then chose to release Attwood pending his next court date on March 13. However, Attwood’s family members were concerned about the release plan and quickly petitioned the court for an involuntary psychiatric hold so that Attwood would be committed to a hospital.
The family told media that they feared for the safety of Attwood’s children, themselves, and the public, and did not understand why the judge had released him on a promise to appear. Their application for a psychiatric hold was ultimately granted, leaving Attwood confined to a mental health unit. However, it appears that Attwood was released on February 25, earlier than the family anticipated.
Attwood has been active on social media since the violent attacks – even commenting about and admitting to stabbing his children.
“For obvious reasons I’m going to sit and stay silent on the locally viral rumors going around. I understand people’s upset (trust it’s not as high as my own) and I’m going to answer for what I did. When I can see the picture more clearly then I will be here to hold myself accountable as well. It’s just… not the right time for that. I need to focus on my mental health and finding the WHY to this happening… which means not being online,” he wrote.
“I am very apologetic and hurt though. Trust that. This was nowhere near my 2025 bingo card,” Attwood posted on Facebook this week from the psychiatric hospital where he had been staying.

In a comment below the post, he admits to stabbing his children: “And yes, I stabbed my daughter in the shoulder, and scraped my sons arm. The cause, and the why are the slander I am mentioning here. I definitely had some sort of mental break… that’s why I’m in psych.”
Another user added screenshots of comments Attwood made on Discord while he was still held on psychiatry unit.
“On the psychology ward. I sort of had a break happen. My kids are OK, but I did sort of… unconsciously stab Mia in the shoulder. I feel terrible. Then I had this feeling in emergency tonight that a ritual was taking place and people didn’t even know it… but I watched the whole thing unfold. I even saw an Indigenous queen. She was so regal. (Literal old lady with her son walking around.) All in my head of course, but it did… kind of make me feel better about the whole thing,” wrote Attwood.
Bizarrely, Attwood also posted selfies he took while in his hospital bed.
In another comment, Attwood responded to a woman who offered him sympathy for his situation, writing: “Thank you so much. I was definitely terrified of just being rejected for that happening. I’ve got a lot to go through now, and it’ll be a lot of work… but I finally found my friends… And it’s all of YOUUUU. Mod Squad!!! Assemble!”
Attwood was previously employed as a paramedic in Alberta. He has made several social media posts about being unable to work due to an alleged “disability,” or Fibromyalgia. He set up a GoFundMe for donations to support him and his three children, the youngest two apparently living with him full time. He posted that he was separated from the children’s mother.
In another Facebook post, Attwoord stated he would use some of the funds to ensure his oldest could go to a “trans-inclusive” school in Calgary, suggesting the child identifies as transgender.
“This is terrifying enough to get a GoFundMe made… let alone expect it to do well… I just, don’t have any other way right now. It’s me… and this thing, and what little bit my co-parent can manage to send me trying to live in Calgary so our oldest can go to the only trans-inclusive school we have been able to find…”
Just days before stabbing his own children, Attwood uploaded a reel to Instagram in which he said that he needs to “protect [his] family from the negativity within.” He also posted a meme about Elon Musk being “transphobic,” accompanied by a series of rambling thoughts.

In media coverage of the stabbings, most Canadian news outlets referred to Attwood using “she/her” or “they/them” pronouns.

Brahim Aouissaoui has broken out of his silence and overcome his memory gap. The alleged attacker at the Notre-Dame de l’Assomption basilica in Nice, who has been on trial for a fortnight for the murder of three people in a knife attack on the 29th of October 2020, was questioned by the presiding judge of the Paris Special Court for Criminal Matters and finally admitted to the crimes on Monday morning.

A crowd gathered outside the BBC headquarters on Tuesday night to brand the “biased” broadcaster as “spokespeople for terrorists.”
This action was organised by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA), which accused the corporation of “giving credibility” to the claims of Hamas—something which is “a betrayal of licence-fee payers.”
Most recently, the BBC aired a documentary on life in Gaza which wrongly translated references to “the Jews”—changing them on at least five occasions to “Israel” or “Israeli forces”—and omitted praise of “jihad.” Speaking at the protest, journalist David Collier suggested that this “raw Hamas propaganda” was later taken down not because the programme was a distortion but because the BBC was “caught and this time had … no excuses to hide behind.”

“Last Monday night, the BBC aired a Hamas propaganda documentary. Four days later they took it down.
“But let us be clear about one key point:
“They did not take it down because it was raw Hamas propaganda.
British papers are now pushing the BBC to reveal whether any taxpayer money was given to Hamas during the making of this documentary.
This is not the first time the broadcaster has landed itself in controversies over its Israel coverage.
The BBC refused to label Hamas terrorists as “terrorists” after the October 7th terror attack. It even later described the legacy of the ‘Butcher of Tehran’—the former Hamas-backing leader of Iran who died in May last year—as “mixed,” in part because of his depiction as “the president of the unprivileged and poor.”
When a survey last month suggested that only one-third of British Jews believe they have a long-term future in the UK, the CAA toldeuropeanconservative.com: “There must be an independent investigation into bias at our national broadcaster [the BBC], which clearly has a blindspot when it comes to antisemitism.”
A spokesman for the group yesterday complained that “the BBC has no shame and Britain has had enough.”
For over 16 months, we have watched our national broadcaster provide ever more sympathetic coverage to a proscribed terrorist organisation, hiding behind claims of impartiality. There is nothing impartial about giving credibility to the claims of terrorists.
The CAA also criticised the BBC for “carefully” excluding the antisemitic portrayal of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a blood-soaked vampire in its coverage of the horrific handing over of the youngest Israeli hostage—kidnapped when he was just nine months old—last week.

Romania’s presidential election front-runner Călin Georgescu has been taken in by police for questioning.
He has been accused of forming a fascist organisation, threatening the constitutional order and breaking electoral campaign finance rules, judicial sources told Romanian media.
Earlier on February 26, the police raided the homes of several people connected to Georgescu, on suspicion of initiating or setting up a fascist, racist, xenophobic organisation and joining or supporting such a group.
They were also accused of the “public promotion of the cult of people guilty of committing crimes of genocide or war crimes”.
Police targeted 27 individuals and four offices in a total of 47 searches.
Foreign interference or ties with Russia were, perhaps surprisingly given the claims that led to the cancellation of the first round of Romania’s presidential elections, not among the new accusations.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Directorate, the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime, the Directorate for Arms, Explosives and Dangerous Substances, the Economic Crime Investigation Directorate and the Bucharest Police were all involved in the searches.
The police allegedly found a hidden safe with around $1 million (€950,000) in cash, plus weapons and ammunition in the home of Horatiu Potra, the Georgescu’s bodyguard.
Potra is a former member of the French Foreign Legion and had previously served as a military instructor and mercenary in Africa.
According to Romanian news outlet Digi 24, Potra was said to have close ties with those in the circles of power in Moscow. His partner also allegedly had links with Chechen soldiers.
Potra reportedly was not in Romania at the time of the raids but travelling abroad.
Georgescu’s communication team said Georgescu had been preparing to submit his candidacy for the new presidency election when the police apprehended him.
“Where is democracy now, where are the partners who should defend democracy?” they said following his detention.
After hearing the news, a group of his supporters gathered at the prosecutor’s office, protesting against what had happened.
George Simion, leader of the hard-right AUR party and a supporter of Georgescu’s candidacy, said on TikTok this detention was “an abuse of the totalitarian State”.
Later on February 26, Romanian media reported that prosecutors had discovered evidence of “compromising” conversations and recordings involving Georgescu.
They were said to have included a phone call with Marian Motocu, who is the subject of an investigation for alleged hateful, anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial.
After the discussion with Georgescu, Motocu allegedly called the Russian Embassy and asked for contact with Colonel Evgheni Ignatiev, the deputy military attaché of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest and reportedly a GRU officer: Russia’s military intelligence agency known for its clandestine activities in Europe.
Reportedly, he had difficulties talking with the operator at the embassy and he was put on hold, after which it cut off his call.
In Romania’s 2024 presidential election, hard-right nationalist Georgescu unexpectedly won the first round on November 24 with 22.94 per cent of the vote, a result that was said to have been boosted by a TikTok campaign.
In an unprecedented and controversial move, the Romanian Constitutional Court annulled the results on December 6, citing Russian interference favouring Georgescu, although evidence was contested.
New elections were set for May 2025, leaving Georgescu’s candidacy uncertain.
Latest polls have shown he was firmly in the lead, making any action against him potentially problematic.
Earlier in February, US Vice President JD Vance had criticised Romania’s decision to cancel the election late last year.
“Friendship is based on shared values,” Vance declared at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington on February 20.
“You do not have shared values if you cancel elections because you don’t like the result – and that happened in Romania.”
A trans-identified male serving an indefinite prison sentence for sexual offenses, including the rape of a 13 year-old girl, is said to have sexually assaulted multiple female inmates after having been transferred into a women’s prison.
According to reports from women detained at Grand Valley Institution for Women (GVI) in Ontario, Carissa Marie Radcliffe, previously known as Frederick Radcliffe, has forcefully sexually attacked multiple women, spurring an ongoing investigation which began with his relocation to a maximum security unit on October 4. To date, two women have filed official reports with the Correctional Service of Canada.
Grand Valley Institution for Women (GVI), located in Kitchener, is organized into a campus-style setting with several buildings, or “houses,” where inmates live together. Radcliffe, a convicted pedophile who claims to identify as a transgender woman, was transferred into a housing unit at GVI at the beginning of 2023.
Radcliffe has a lengthy criminal history and has been convicted of the rape of teenage girls on several occasions. He was declared a Dangerous Offender in 2010, a designation which requires him to remain incarcerated until the parole board says he is no longer a risk to the public.

In 2017, Radcliffe, still using the name Frederick, appealed his 2009 conviction and his 2010 indeterminate sentence. The judge dismissed both appeals. It was around this time that Radcliffe began identifying as “transgender” and changed his name and pronouns.
Speaking with Reduxx on the case, female inmate advocate Heather Mason revealed that the victim’s roommate was a firsthand witness to Radcliffe’s sexual abuse of the victim.
Mason is a founding member of Canadian Women’s Sex-Based Rights, a non-partisan coalition of women working to advocate for single-sex spaces and sex-based rights. She also sits on the board of directors for Strength in Sisterhood (SIS), a group of women who have survived prison and are working to end female incarceration. Mason has been a vocal advocate against the transfer of men to women’s institutions.
Leading up to the sexual assault, the victim, Maria, who name has been altered for safeguarding reasons, told Mason that his behavior had been “predatory”, causing her to live in fear. In addition to a slew of sexual remarks, Maria said that Radcliffe had told her she was “younger than [his] last victim.”
Mehlenbacher was being held in the Edmonton Institution for Women (EIW), but after sexually assaulting a female inmate there in 2019, was transferred to GVI, where he sexually abused Emma.
“Why has the Correctional Service of Canada placed me in this housing situation with Radcliffe, knowing how vulnerable I am as a survivor of sexual abuse that already occurred here in GVI?” asked Emma.
“Why don’t my rights matter? Why doesn’t the CSC care about the trauma I’ve gone through, and why have they put me in a situation where I could become a victim again?”
But Maria was not the only woman at GVI who was assaulted by Radcliffe. Multiple other victims have filed a report with prison authorities.
Once officials became aware of the sexual assaults, Radcliffe was removed from House 11, where he had been staying with the women, and placed in a maximum security unit. Officers then began to interview all of the women who had been living in the same house, inquiring as to Radcliffe’s behavior. Some women noted that he had been walking around the housing unit while wearing only a shirt, naked from the waist down and exposing himself to the women.
“CSC is aware that [Radcliffe] has sexually assaulted women on compound and are pulling them all in to be interviewed,” Mason told Reduxx.
Mason told Reduxx that another woman has come forward with a “distressing account” of Radcliffe sexually abusing her in a similar manner. According to Mason, the victim said that Radcliffe pushed her against a wall in an area near the library’s bathroom, and forcefully shoved his hands down her pants before engaging in unwanted sexual contact.
Radcliffe had only been staying in House 11 for two weeks before he assaulted Maria, and Mason emphasizes that he was “predatory right from the start.” The dangerous sex offender had previously been living in a housing unit for Indigenous women, but was transferred to House 11 due to his ongoing sexual harassment of the women there.

As previously reported by Reduxx, Radcliffe has an extensive criminal history dating back decades. Though he has been convicted of non-violent crimes such as theft, criminal harassment, and criminal misconduct, the majority of his crimes were distinctly sexual and involved underage girls.
From 1989 to 1990, he was convicted for multiple indecent acts that involved exposing his penis to female victims while masturbating. One of the victims was 15 years old.
In 1991, he was convicted of sexual assault on a 19-year-old female victim, followed by a conviction for three counts of sexual interference and one count of sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl the following year.
Radcliffe received another charge for indecent exposure in 1993 and two more indecent exposure convictions in 1998. During the second incident in 1998, he followed his 17-year-old female victim to her vehicle after exposing himself.

In 2009, Radcliffe was found guilty of sexual assault on a person under the age of fourteen. The assault occurred in Ottawa in 2007, when Radcliffe was 34-years-old. He was married with one child at the time.
According to a 2010 report from North Bay Nugget, one woman who dated Radcliffe while unaware of his sex offending testified in court that he had a foot fetish and asked her to call him “Daddy’s little whore”.
On one occasion, he drove her to a construction site and forced himself on her. On other occasions, he forced her to dress up like a schoolgirl. “I believe he will continue to harm younger women around us,” she told the court.
Radcliffe was declared a dangerous offender and sentenced to an indeterminate time behind bars, until the parole board assesses that he is no longer an undue risk to society.
According to court records, Radcliffe will be placed on the sex offender register and banned from public parks and public swimming areas where persons under the age of 14 may be present for at least 10 years after his release.
Radcliffe appealed his conviction and indeterminate sentence in 2017, but his request was denied by the court. It was around that time that he began claiming to be transgender and changed his name to Carissa Marie.

Radcliffe is one of multiple dangerous sex offenders serving an indeterminate sentence who has been transferred into a women’s institution on the basis of his “gender identity”.
Adam Laboucan, who sexually assaulted a three-month-old baby boy in Quesnel, British Columbia, was relocated to Fraser Valley Institution for Women in Abbotsford after he began calling himself Tara Desousa. Due to the horrific nature of the crime, Laboucan was handed the rare indeterminate prison sentence in 1999 at the age of 17, and was declared the nation’s youngest criminally violent sex offender.
Inmates at FVI confirmed to Reduxx last year that Laboucan had been housed in a unit next to the Mother-Child Program residence, and said that he had been “staring” at the children to “antagonize” the women. Last fall, an eyewitness came forward to reveal that Laboucan had brutally assaulted a female inmate after she called him a “pedophile.”
Additionally, convicted serial pedophile Madilyn Harks, whose given name is Matthew, was also relocated to FVI for a time and was said to be behaving similarly to Leboucan – leering at the infants and making “inappropriate antagonizing comments”. Harks has been described as having “all-encompassing preoccupation in sexually abusing young girls.” Authorities believe he targeted at least 60 victims before being charged for approximately 200 offenses related to sexual abuse.
A report released by the Canadian Correctional Service in 2022 revealed that 82% of “gender diverse” prisoners with a history of sexual offending were men who identified as “trans women.” Almost all (94%) had committed their offenses while “living as their biological sex.”
The majority (85%) committed offenses that caused death or serious harm to their victim(s) while 70% inflicted psychological harm on their victim(s). Over half of the victims were children (58%) or female (55%), and one-third of the sexual predators had multiple victims.
Multiple people were reportedly injured in a shooting outside of a court in the north-west German city of Bielefeld amid the murder trial of a former Albanian boxer.
At least three people are reported to have been injured, including one critically, on Wednesday morning outside of a courthouse in Bielefeld.
According to a report from Bild, the shooting incident occurred outside the trial of Hüseyin Akkurt, who is on trial over allegedly killing Albanian boxer Besar Nimani in a shooting in Bielefeld last year. A second suspect in the shooting of the boxer remains at large.
One of those injured in Wednesday’s shooting outside the courthouse is believed to be defendant Hüseyin Akkurt’s brother, who was repeatedly shot in the leg.
The defendant’s father was also reportedly shot in the area of his heart and thus is believed to be in life-threatening condition.
At the time of this reporting, one person suspected in the shooting has been detained by police, while a second is believed to still be on the run.
The killing of retired boxing star Besar Nimani is claimed to have been connected to a dispute within Germany’s criminal underworld, with the Albanian mafia being a prominent force in the country.
Last year, two men are said to have approached Nimani after he parked his car and shot at him sixteen times in an apparent assassination-style hit, resulting in his death at the age of 38.
The boxer had previously been shot at in 2013 but survived that attack on his life.
A teenage female basketball player is under investigation for “harassment” after she refused to play against a boy at her local high school.
According to a February 17 complaint from the Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism (FAIR), 15-year-old Frances Staudt of Tumwater High School is facing “harassment” allegations for calling out an opposing team for having a male player.
“It seems that if one disagrees with the WIAA policy in question and believes it is a violation of a female’s sex-based rights to be forced to engage in athletic competition with a male, TSD (Tumwater School District) will use its power and influence to silence such dissenting viewpoints,” the complaint warned.
“Needless to say, the TSD actions outlined herein raise significant concerns about federal law violations,” it continued.
On February 6 while teams began a warm-up session, Staudt noticed that a player on the opposing team was a male. The male student was later identified by “(un)Divided” podcaster Brandi Kruse as Shelton High School senior Andi Rooks.
Staudt brought her concerns to Tumwater principal Zach Suderman and athletic director Jordan Magrath, who confirmed that the player was a boy. Accordingly, Staudt requested that the boy either sit out or that the game be cancelled.
However, both rejected her suggestions, citing a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association policy that allows athletes to play on the team that aligns with their “gender identity.”
Suderman argued that it would be discriminatory to remove the boy from the game, to which Staudt responded that it was discriminatory to force girls to play against a biological male.
Staudt refused to participate in the game, continuing to voice her concerns over fairness and the safety of other players. As a result of her comments, TSD is investigating her for “misgendering” the male player.
According to the complaint, TSD officials also targeted Staudt’s family. During the game, Suderman allegedly asked Staudt’s mother, “Are you telling me that your daughter will never get knocked down or potentially injured by someone bigger, stronger and faster than she is while playing sports?”
Additionally, Staudt’s 13-year-old brother was reportedly threatened by TSD officials when he attempted to film the game. “You better think twice about that,” an official allegedly told the boy while standing inches away from his face.
FAIR further pointed out that TSD’s actions come after President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order earlier this month to keep gender-confused men out of women’s sports.
However, many have refused to accept the order and continue to discriminate against women and girls in sports.
In a February 6 email, Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction, Chris Reykdal instructed superintendents to “continue to follow state law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity” instead of Trump’s new order.
“It seems clear that Washington officials are determined to prioritize the rights of male athletes who identify as transgender ahead of the rights of female athletes,” FAIR declared.
