Europe’s biggest motorbike manufacturer may move production to Asia

KTM, Europe’s biggest manufacturer of motorcycles by sales, is mulling moving a large part of its production capacity to either India or China, according to company sources. The Austrian company has been in a severe crisis for several months and is facing bankruptcy. To survive and restructure, KTM reportedly needs €600 million in liquidity in the coming weeks.

On January 28, the shareholders of KTM’s parent company Pierer Mobility agreed on a capital increase which might provide the company with up to €900 million in cash, ensuring KTM’s survival for the moment. According to Peter Vogl, the restructuring manager assigned to KTM, the search for investors has been successful. Twenty parties have expressed their interest in investing in the motorbike manufacturer – although he could not say how many had made a concrete offer for some of the new shares.

Even if KTM survives the company will probably move a big chunk of its production capacity outside of Europe to cut costs. This was reported by Austrian media with reference to Pierer Mobility insiders. Reportedly, production is planned to be moved either to Bajaj Auto in India or to CF Moto in China. Bajaj is one of two core investors in KTM together with Heinrich Pierer. Pierer took over KTM in 1991 and turned it into a flourishing company. CF Moto from China is a long-term partner of KTM and a minor shareholder of Pierer Mobility.

This is bad news for KTM’s 5,000 employees in Austria, many of which work in the main production plant in Mattighofen, north of Salzburg. Many people have already been let go as production was switched from double shifts to single shifts for 2025 and 2026.

KTM’s crisis has many roots. Gottfried Neumeister, KTM’s new CEO since January 2025, attributed it to high inventories, rising production costs, complex marketing strategies and high debt. In addition, the ongoing economic crisis in Europe has negatively affected sales. Reportedly, KTM has more than a year’s production volume in store.

Germany: Iraqi migrant on trial for raping an 82-year-old woman in her apartment, twice

screengrab youtube

An Iraqi migrant is on trial for raping an 82-year-old woman in her Hamburg apartment building twice last summer, with the trial now running since Tuesday.

The migrant is 36-year-old Hawzheen A. (photo), who is unemployed, and reportedly suffers from “psychological problems,” according to Bild. Due to this, Hawzheen A. is not serving his time in detention in a prison but instead inside a “therapeutic institution.”

During the incident, he attacked the old woman, dragged her to a bedroom and then proceeded to rape her, according to prosecutors. In a second attack, he dragged the woman to another apartment one floor down which belonged to a friend and raped her there.

The woman only called the police after the second incident.

However, it is not the only criminal charges he is facing. In January 2023, he was accused of attacking an unknown woman from behind while they were inside a cafe in the Horn district, at which point he brought her to the ground and kicked her. Guests inside the cafe reportedly intervened to help the woman. When police arrived, he fought and kicked them as well as spat on them.

Two weeks later, Hawzheen A., was involved in an incident where he began damaging property. He fought the police so hard that he was transported face down inside a police van and three officers were injured during the struggle to arrest him.

The defendant has remained silent during his trial so far. It is expected to run until Friday.

Migrants involved with sexual violence against elderly women are not so uncommon. Last year, a Syrian migrant sexually assaulted a 78-year-old woman, only to be released and rape a 23-year-old the next day. Also last year, a migrant raped two elderly women in a hospital and said he was “forced to rape” because he “didn’t have a girlfriend.” And on New Year’s morning last year, a migrant committed a break-in and raped a 75-year-old French woman.

In 2022, an Iraqi migrant raped a 90-year-old disabled woman confined to a wheelchair inside a hospital in Germany.

In France, there has been a wave of migrants raping or sexually assaulting elderly women. Last year, a migrant was jailed for the attempted rape of a woman who was 102 years old.

Public-Funded Fairytale-Tellers Get Busy Ahead of German Election

Friedrich Merz
Michael Lucan, CC BY-SA 3.0 DE, via Wikimedia Commons

A state-funded German left-wing publication that spread disinformation about right-wing Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) has released another hit piece, this time targeting the leader of centre-right CDU, Friedrich Merz—one month before the national elections.

The “investigative journalism” website Correctiv attracted attention last year when it published an article designed to undermine public confidence in the AfD, which had been—and still is— surging in the polls due to its tough stance on migration.

The piece falsely accused party members of having discussed deporting German citizens from a migrant background at a conference in Potsdam in November 2023. Other media outlets, including state-run broadcasters, have been repeating these claims about the AfD ever since, despite court rulings that deemed them to be false.

Less than a month before the February 23rd elections, Correctiv is now going after Friedrich Merz, the leader of the CDU, which is the frontrunner in the polls.

The article, described by the publication as “explosive,” details the 69-year-old Merz’s ties to big corporations and suggests how these relationships could influence the way he runs the country. Correctiv accuses Merz of advocating a liberal economic policy instead of a left-wing one, and the publication expresses its fears that “right-wing conservative voices from the past are also getting involved again.”

As conservative news outlet Nius.de explains, absolutely nothing controversial or “explosive” is revealed in the article, because Friedrich Merz is well-known as a former politician-turned-businessman who went back into politics and took over the leadership of the CDU after Angela Merkel. Merz is vowing to steer the CDU back towards the Right after two decades of left-wing-liberal policies by his predecessor.

What is controversial, however, is the fact that Correctiv unashamedly takes public money from the government and uses it to attack the political opponents of the two governing parties, the Social Democrats and the Greens.

In 2023, the publication received €198,500 from the Federal Commissioner for Culture and the Media, Green politician Claudia Roth. Last year, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research granted €1.33 million to Correctiv for a ‘fact checker’ project to combat ‘fake news’—a clearly ironic move, given the publication’s history of spreading… fake news.

In 2022 and 2023, the outlet also received over half a million euros from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, led by a politician from CDU’s left wing, Hendrik Wüst.

As German lawyer Ulrich Vosgerau told europeanconservative.com in an interview last year:

The German state supports Correctiv financially, putting money in the pockets of these fairytale-tellers. They publish outrageous narratives, false facts, and cascades of speculation with the intention that these are taken as facts, “research,” and “revelations.”

The platform has proudly stated that it works “free of political and economic dependencies,” but its funding and left-wing activism suggest that it is extremely biased and under the influence of the governing parties.

As Nius.de writes, “tough investigative research against Green Minister Robert Habeck would be almost unimaginable,” not to mention that their former managing director Jeannette Gusko has been managing the Greens’ election campaign since November.

As we previously reported, Correctiv’s directors had meetings with officials from the federal government on numerous occasions, apparently to “exchange ideas” on what coverage is desirable, and Gusko met Chancellor Olaf Scholz days before the now infamous Potsdam meeting, on which the publication had deceptively misreported about.

Qur’an-Burning Islam Critic Assassinated While Livestreaming in Sweden

Wikimedia Commons , Frankie FouganthinCC-BY-SA-4.0

Iraqi-born Islam critic Salwan Momika was shot dead at a residence in Sweden on Wednesday night, just hours before he was due to be in court for the Swedish government’s prosecution of him for his Qur’an-burning protests.

38-year-old Salwan Momika was shot dead in an apartment in Södertälje, in Stockholm county, on Wednesday night around 11pm. The refugee, who was born into Iraq’s Assyrian Christian minority but who self-described as a “liberal atheist” had come to Sweden from Iraq in 2018 and given protection because he was at high risk of torture and “inhumane treatment” in his home country.

Sweden’s Aftonbladet newspaper reports the attack against Momika took place while the Islam critic was livestreaming on the TikTok platform, and that the killing was broadcast. Indeed, the paper states the livestream only ended later when a police officer entered the apartment and turned the phone off.

Five people have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A police insider is reported to have said they are working on the theory a perpetrator accessed the apartment by the building’s roof.

Momika rose to prominence in 2023 after he burned copies of the Qur’an four times at protests in Sweden, including outside a Stockholm mosque and the Iraqi embassy. Proponents of Qur’an burning, as well as wishing to protest Islam itself, say the extremely violent reactions to the burnings ironically prove their own points that Islam is dangerous and incompatible with Western society.

Momika himself asked, rhetorically, in 2024: “If Islam is a religion of peace, why do I need a bulletproof vest?… Why do I need hundreds of police to protect me when I burn a book of the people of the religion of peace?”. Swedish public television broadcaster SVT’s crime correspondent stated on Thursday it was well known in Sweden’s criminal underground that a price had been put on Momika’s head and money could be made by killing him.

British campaigner Tommy Robinson, who is now in prison in the United Kingdom, interviewed Momika in 2024 and warned he faced “certain death”.

It is claimed before coming to Europe, Momika served in an anti-Islamic State (ISIS) militia in Iraq.

Momika’s 2023 Qur’an burnings triggered massive protests which in turn created a diplomatic crisis for Sweden. The Swedish embassy in Iraq was mobbed and Turkey cited Sweden’s permitting freedom of expression against Islam as it slow-walked the nation’s admission into NATO. There were also Qur’an riots in Malmo, Sweden’s infamously multicultural city, in 2023 over Momika.

Momika, along with another Qur’an burner, was charged with incitement against an ethnic group over the 2023 burnings and a verdict in the case was due to be heard in a Stockholm court this morning, some 12 hours after he was shot. A spokesman for the court said the ruling has been delayed to next month “Since it has been confirmed that one of the defendants has died, the sentence must be adjusted to the fact that it is not possible to sentence a deceased person”.

While he characterised the bid to convict him for expressing his views in public as “legal persecution”, Momika nevertheless said “I am grateful for Sweden and I love Sweden and its people”. Sweden had recently jailed another Qur’an burner, Dane Rasmus Paludan. The Judge told Paludan at sentencing “It is permissible to publicly criticize, for example, Islam and even Muslims, but the contempt for a group of people must clearly not exceed the limits of a relevant and responsible discourse”, and found that the activist had intended to “defame and insult Muslims”.

In 2024, it was reported two men were arrested in Germany over planning a terror attack against Sweden because of Qur’an burnings. The men intended to shoot police officers and other people at the Swedish Parliament.

Orthodox Christianity and the Good Migrants – Young men flocking to a surviving real Christianity?

The secular world, it seems, has discovered Orthodox Christianity, the Church that predates Rome with ancient roots in Jerusalem and Antioch. Prominent among the “discoverers” are young men. Young men that Abbot Seraphim of Holy Cross Monastery in West Virginia says “are broken” and “searching for spirituality.”

Abbot Seraphim describes this brokenness as the result of absentee or abusive fathers — mothers too — and the fact that many of these young men come from non-believing homes. In many cases they were raised nominally Protestant, meaning church on Christmas, weddings and funerals but nothing in-between, something that amounts to a superficial faith minus backbone and substance. Many of these young men have seen their Protestant denominations dissipate into woke reflections of the secular culture.

That reflection includes Black Lives Matter banners strung from the steeples of Protestant churches; rainbow flags used as altar cloths; sermons that concentrate on feminism, reproductive rights or the “rights” of illegal aliens.

Even Scripture has been bastardized with pronoun changes along with the forced alteration of explicit but unpopular Biblical condemnations to make them blend with societal changes.

The New York Post’s feature on the phenomenon of young men entering Orthodox Christianity got a lot of attention. The article revealed why men find Orthodoxy attractive: In a world of flux and changing fashion, the new converts desire something ancient, substantive and unchanging. The superficiality of what many have experienced in Protestant churches might be said to include abbreviated entertainment-style worship services and sermons that mimic TED Talks.

Orthodoxy, as has been said, is not for sissies. Unlike their Catholic brethren, the Orthodox Church never diluted fasting to a simple one hour before receiving the Eucharist. Orthodox Christians fast most of the year, and the fasts are strenuous. Long worship services contribute to a complicated life of prescribed prayers and frequent confession.

The article refers to Orthodoxy as “muscular Christianity,” as opposed to the softer almost feminized world of Protestantism where the Jesus worshiped is often the Jesus of equity, inclusion and diversity, or the woke Jesus as invented by the Left.

In Orthodoxy there are regular processions, a heavy use of incense and the kissing of icons.

There is also an act of submission known as prostrations — or kneeling with one’s face on the floor — a worship practice adopted from Eastern Christianity by Islam. Multiple prostrations in Orthodoxy involve gymnastic stand up/lie down maneuvers that often exhaust the most athletically inclined.

Psychologist and author Jordan Peterson compares the Orthodox liturgy to a dance.

Tradition, he told the Post, makes Orthodoxy unquestionable.

“Unlike a Protestant service, which is much more dependent on the preacher, you can’t criticize an Orthodox service…. It’s ritualized. It’s a dance. And it’s not the words only. It’s the words in the architecture, in the images, in the history. And you’re participating in it.”

The number of Orthodox converts nationwide has increased by 80 percent since 2019, tripling the size of many established congregations. New Orthodox churches are being built to accommodate this rapid growth.

While young men are discovering Orthodoxy, what about young women?  Why isn’t there a mass exodus of young women into the Orthodox Church? The question deserves some attention. Part of the reason has to do with the damage feminism has done to women in the culture.

“The feminist movement,” as Carrie Gress writes in her book, ‘The End of Woman, How Smashing the Patriarchy Has Destroyed Us, “has eviscerated our homes, our children, our lives as wives, our fertility, and now finally our bodies, leaving us in a strange no-man’s-land-or rather a no-woman’s-land-where we are simply a generic ‘human being,’ a traumatizing blank slate imposed over natural realities.”

Recently I had a conversation with Mother Christophora, the abbess of the Orthodox Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, founded by the exiled Princess Ileana (Mother Alexandra) of Romania in 1965 after her tonsure as a nun.  During our talk, Mother Christophora pointed out the crisis in vocations to the monastic life among young women, but not with young men.

“Orthodox male monasteries are flourishing with young men, but the opposite is true with women,” she said. “And yet when you consider what the culture has done to young women, you begin to understand this discrepancy.”

The ravages of feminism are certainly behind the changes we see in many Protestant denominations.

One by one, old guard Protestant churches that once resisted radical liberalization are falling into line. One Anglo-Catholic parish in Philadelphia, Saint Clement-for years noted for its beautiful Christmas 3-hour High Solemn Mass-finally succumbed to the woke virus that has transformed nearly Episcopal church in the nation. The parish now has liberal priests who preach woke Democrat Party-inspired sermons.

The parish also employs women deacons and priests who dress for Mass in rich fiddle- back vestments. This visual incongruity-safeguarding the superficialities of tradition while accessing all the latest woke talking points-is a queer phenomenon, something that young men searching for authentic Christianity no doubt see as false.

It should be noted that the Episcopal Church in Philadelphia has been used in past years as a sort of entry into society, what used to be called the Social Register class. Membership is mostly about making connections with the right people-lawyers, physicians, or old families with Mayflower roots-even though the “right people” category in Philadelphia is nearly depleted due to changing demographics.

I was reminded of this at Christmastime when a post on Facebook included a photo of a man standing outside an Episcopal church. The caption read:  “The Episcopal Church is the gentleman’s way to Heaven.” (But first you have to stomach left wing rants by the female priest or bishop as well as a short talk on Gaza and Black Lives Matter.)

Many Orthodox male converts say they first investigated Orthodoxy during the pandemic lockdown when their Protestant churches were closed or having virtual-only services. According to a study published by the National Catholic Reporter, of all the Christian denominations, many Orthodox churches remained open during the pandemic.

“From 2020 through 2023, the study found 44% of Orthodox churches remained open during the pandemic, compared to just 12% of all U.S. congregations. Only 31% of Orthodox priests publicly encouraged parishioners to get vaccinated compared to 62% of all clergy.”

This is the fearlessness of true belief and ancient wisdom. If you turn away from receiving the Eucharist because you’re afraid of germs and catching COVID, you really have little to no belief in the power inherent in receiving the Body and Blood of Christ.

The young men who have gone over to Orthodoxy talk about the feminization of non-Orthodox forms of Christianity. As one Orthodox priest, Father Josiah Trenham of Riverside, California told the Post:

“The vast majority of attendees at most Christian churches are female, and many services are accordingly dominated by emotional songs, swaying, uplifted hands, and eyes closed in ecstasy.

“Men are much less comfortable [in those settings], and they have voted with their feet. Our worship forms are very traditional and very masculine.”

Of course, all is not perfect in Orthodoxy. There are snake-in-the-grass liberalizing groups and trends, like a group called Public Orthodoxy at Fordham University, a Jesuit-run school, that wants to see the Church embrace same sex marriage the way the Catholic bishops are doing in Germany-in direct disobedience to the pope by the way- an act that only 20 years ago under Pope Benedict XVI would have resulted in some form of censure or excommunication. I suspect Pope Francis secretly agrees with the German bishops and his only real worry is that the Germans are moving too fast while he prefers a slow, incremental reformation. (Recall the apologue of the frog being slowly boiled alive.)

I suspect the young men coming into Orthodoxy see through this charade as well.

It appears that Orthodoxy — for the most part — remains one of the sole true survivors of ancient Christianity, a shining city on a hill.

Make Germany okay again

By Eric Utter

Elon Musk recently spoke at the Campaign Kickoff event of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, driving the mainstream German and EU media into a frenzy. This came only days after his anti-rape-gang comments greatly disturbed the powers that be in Britain. His statements and the anger they inspired tell me we could use more like him.

Musk said such ‘far-right’ things as “Children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents” and “You should be optimistic and excited about a future for Germany. That’s really my message, is be optimistic, excited, and preserve German culture and protect the German people.” My God, what a monster! I’m surprised he didn’t come right out and say, “Make Germany Okay Again.”

Memo to Germany, in care of Alice Weidel, co-chairwoman of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party: It is going on 80 years since you started living in shame. That is three to four generations. Obviously, a lot can happen in that span of time; a lot can change.

Alice Weidel. YouTube screen grab.

There was a time when a strong Germany was a danger to the world. Today, a weak Germany poses a danger—especially to free Western societies. You owe it to your children—and theirs—to defend your nation from without and within, something that, tragically, is not currently being done. You owe it to America. (Why? Think of the Marshall Plan or European Recovery Program).

But most of all, you owe it to yourselves. As a recently defeated American politician might say, it is time to unburden yourselves from what has been. And prepare for a glorious future.

Today, in a perverse irony, it is the ‘liberal’ left that is the most antisemitic, the most vitriolic, and the least tolerant, both in America and in Germany. When did common sense become intolerant, racist, and misogynistic? When did the truth become ‘disinformation?’ Why did we let this happen?

Germany has given the world the printing press, contact lenses, the electron microscope, the diesel engine, aspirin, and airbags—not to mention, on a personal note, beer and sauerkraut.

Every nation has things in its past that it is not proud of, but the best way to make amends—to others and yourselves—is to strive to be better than ever before. Upset the lefties and be a friend to Israel. Become the economic engine you were not so long ago. Make your military strong enough to deter any enemy and prevent needless conflict. Invent. Explore. Dream big. And be proud of yourselves once again.

Imagine the possibilities of a Germany made great again, joining with its fellow European nations and the United States! All independent. All prosperous. All secure. All free.

The socialists and global elites have had their day. But we know that war is not peace. Freedom is not slavery. Ignorance is not strength. Men are not women. To say otherwise is nonsensical, radical, and insane.

But hard work, common sense, and shared values will lead to a bright future. And the truth really will set us free.

If you live in a country where you are afraid to share your rational thoughts, beliefs, and opinions, that society isn’t free. If you live in a nation where one side of the political spectrum can impose its policies at will and openly try to cancel, imprison—or kill—its political opponents (when it is not, in a great irony, calling them ‘Hitler’) you are a victim of a form of slavery.

What is needed now is nothing less than a Worldwide Emancipation Proclamation, in which the people declare their freedom from the global elites and Leftist tyranny.

Godspeed to us all.

Antisemitic Allegation Rocking Hessian Broadcasting

Portrait of Haya Schulmann. Photo: Farideh Diehl – Farideh Diehl, CC BY-SA 4.0,https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=141042867

Allegations of antisemitism have surfaced against Hessian Broadcasting Corporation (Hessischer Rundfunk) after German-Israeli cybersecurity expert Haya Schulmann experienced what she has described as a deeply troubling incident during preparations for her appearance on the program “Hallo Hessen.” The controversy has ignited public discourse on media ethics and the treatment of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Schulmann, who teaches at the Goethe University Frankfurt, was invited to discuss European data protection as part of her role as an expert. After falling ill with the flu, she opted to participate online for the January 28, 2025 episode. During the technical rehearsal, Schulmann engaged in what she described as pleasant chatter with the Turkish-born moderator, Selma Üsük. “We were chatting very nicely,” Schulmann recounted. The conversation took a sharp turn when the moderator asked about the origin of Schulmann’s name.

Upon responding with “Israel,” Schulmann was met with shock. The moderator allegedly reacted by exclaiming, “Bäääääh,” and sticking out her tongue. Schulmann recalled, “After this, she did not say another word to me, and I was muted.” This abrupt change left Schulmann feeling disrespected and confused, prompting her to confront the editorial team once her microphone was reactivated.

“I find it hard to interpret this behavior as anything other than racist or antisemitic,” Schulmann expressed later on LinkedIn. Despite voicing her concerns, she reported receiving no apology from the broadcast team or the moderator. Instead, she was told by the editorial staff, “You misunderstood; she did not mean it like this.” Schulmann’s grievances were echoed by her followers on LinkedIn, who called for accountability and immediate clarification of the antisemitism accusations against the broadcaster.

This incident has led to considerable backlash on social media, with many criticizing the normalization of such dismissive attitudes within mainstream media outlets. “All the people in the team saw this, but apparently everyone deemed the behavior acceptable,” Schulmann stated, reflecting on the lack of support following the incident. She articulated her shock at the organization’s unwillingness to address the situation appropriately, raising broader questions about the handling of racial and ethnic sensitivity within established institutions.

Reflecting on her experience, Schulmann stated, “I have no prejudices; I really don’t care where someone is from, and certainly not where their ancestors came from. I expect the same from serious media.” The incident has raised alarms nationally about the Jewish community’s perceptions, with many advocating for heightened awareness and training for professionals within the media to prevent similar occurrences from reoccurring.

Hessian Broadcasting has acknowledged the situation, committing to investigating Schulmann’s allegations thoroughly. A statement from the HR on LinkedIn asserted, “Dear Haya Schulmann, we just saw your post. We assure you we will immediately clarify this issue.” This response, though seen as a step forward, has been met with skepticism by those who witnessed the incident and have called for transparent accountability.

Rewarding Aloofness and Arrogance

The Charlemagne Prize in Aachen has always been a farce, reflecting above all the political class’s aloofness and distance from the people. It is therefore not surprising that this year’s prizewinner is EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The reasoning behind the award to the controversial top EU official is revealing. The Charlemagne Prize website states: “For her services to the unity of the member states, the containment of the pandemic, the unity of the will to defend against Russia and the impetus for the Green Deal on the one hand, as well as for her encouragement towards the tasks ahead, the Board of Directors of the Society for the Award of the International Charlemagne Prize is honoring the President of the Commission of the European Union with the award of the International Charlemagne Prize in Aachen in 2025.”

Nota bene: the Commission President is currently on trial because of her completely non-transparent vaccine orders, which cost the European taxpayer tens of billions of euros. For the Charlemagne Prize College, this is irrelevant. Instead, it states: “The Commission took responsibility for a coordinated European vaccination strategy, played a key role in securing funding for the development of effective vaccines, and thus within a few months not only Europeans had access to several billion Covid-19 vaccine doses, but developing countries were also supplied with them.”

The award committee also praised von der Leyen’s Ukraine policy, which contributed significantly to the escalation of tensions with Russia, and the EU’s “Green Deal” that she promoted.

With such achievements, von der Leyen is in good company. Previous Charlemagne Prize winners include long-time EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker (2006), former German Chancellor Angela Merkel (2008), former SPD EU Parliament President Martin Schulz (2015), French President Emmanuel Macron (2018), Ukrainian President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people (2023). What they all have in common is that they have effectively damaged German and European interests in one way or another and rewarded undemocratic leaders.

Ignoring election results to further NATO goals

Călin Georgescu had easily won the first round of the Romanian presidential election at the end of November after the media and “experts” had predicted that he would receive one percent of the vote. But then the Romanian Constitutional Court annulled the election at the behest of the EU. It is still unclear when it will be repeated.

Georgescu has now legally challenged the election annulment. He has now spoken out again in an interview with US journalist Alex Jones and accused NATO of working towards a third world war. The Western alliance, under the new Secretary General Mark Rutte, is trying to involve Romania in military actions and thus provoke a third world war.

Georgescu said: “Rutte, the NATO chief, is imposing his rules on the EU and is trying to provoke a third world war in the region, assigning Romania the role of a central platform. This is the greatest danger we face.” Georgescu had previously warned that the Romanian NATO air base Mihail Kogălniceanu on the Black Sea coast not far from Constanta would be used as a gateway for a future war with Russia.

In his view, the EU represents the “political arm of globalism,” while NATO is its “military arm.” The alliance is currently divided. A struggle for influence is underway between the supporters of the designated US President Donald Trump, whom Georgescu sees as “advocates of peace,” and the “European wing.”

Representatives of the latter faction are pursuing a policy of confrontation and want to bring the situation around Ukraine under their own control. “It is a dramatic situation.”

Referring to the heads of state and government in Western European countries, Georgescu said that “all key positions are occupied by slaves of the system.” But in Romania too, the authorities behave like puppets of the West. He continued: “Through them, the West wants to drag Romania into a global conflict as quickly as possible.”

The Trump effect

Trump is already having an impact: since his election victory in November, the attitude of many Americans towards Russia has noticeably changed. This is the result of a survey by the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), the results of which were published on Wednesday. At the same time, Europeans’ trust in the USA is declining, the think tank notes.

The study examined the attitudes of respondents towards Russia in 24 countries. In the US, 11 percent of respondents described Russia as an “ally” and another 20 percent as a “useful partner”. In contrast, 17 percent saw Russia as a “rival” and 38 percent as an “enemy”. This is a significant change compared to the last survey, which was conducted between December 2022 and January 2023. At that time, 0 percent of American respondents chose the “ally” option, while 55 percent viewed the country as an “enemy”.

There are other interesting changes: in the nine EU countries surveyed, the proportion of those who see the US as an ally has fallen from 31 percent to 22 percent. An increasingly positive attitude was also observed among Russians and Chinese. Both populations are more likely to see each other as allies.

ECFR donors include Western governments and large non-governmental organizations such as the Open Society Foundation founded by George Soros and the network of Pierre Omidyar.

Germany: ‘I have never seen my child cry like that’ – 14-year-old Lena beaten by Afghan and Syrian gang of girls in her own schoolyard

Lena’s mother released a photo of her and her daughter inside a hospital after the beating.

A 14-year-old German girl was brutally beaten by a gang of migrant girls from Afghanistan and Syria on Thursday in a schoolyard in Sande, located in Lower Saxony, and now the mother says the school just looked the other way.

The girl, who is still hospitalized, is suffering from lung damage. After the girl was beaten, she dragged herself into the school building and waited for 30 minutes in a teachers’ room. Nobody called for help until a father from another student called an ambulance and the police.

The girl was transported to the hospital, where she can barely sit in a wheelchair on her own for 10 minutes due to the pain.

A German journalist from the Alexander-Wallasch site interviewed the girl’s mother.

“My daughter is currently still in the hospital. Today, it was discovered that the damage to her lungs is not insignificant. She can barely sit in her wheelchair for 10 minutes on her own. She is constantly dependent on oxygen. Walking and standing alone is almost impossible. She always has at least a 6.5 out of 10 pain rating on the pain scale, despite painkillers,” said the mother.

The mother said there are two girls at school who are sisters who are part of a gang, and this gang has “terrorized the school for a long time.”

Shortly before the beating, Lena attempted to de-escalate a conflict between the gang and another girl, which is when Lena was grabbed and pulled to the group. The girls then formed a circle around Lena and began to kick her.

“My children called me (about the attack). I immediately left my workplace in Jever and drove straight to Sande. There I met her friend’s parents, who then came up to me. My child was sitting crouched on a chair in front of the secretary’s office. So she was not offered the opportunity to lie down. Then my child told me what had happened. The friend’s father then walked past me and said: ‘Nobody has called an ambulance yet. I’m calling the ambulance and the police now – immediately!”‘” she said.

To illustrate how bad the beating was, the mother said that when she found Lena, she was in hysterics.

“I have never seen my child cry like that and never seen her in so much pain,” said the mother.

Following the incident, the school has not contacted the mother.

“I said, of course, my children would not be attending school until at least Wednesday and that Lena would not be attending school at all. And I have already filed an application for a school transfer. There were then wishes for a speedy recovery. But the perpetrators are only suspended. And as I said, I found out today that the third perpetrator has probably not been suspended yet.”

She said the police arrived at the school and were there for 20 minutes, where they took statements. There has been no further information since then.

The mother of Lena said that there have been conflicts for months with these girls and that she has been worried about the outcome. It got to the point that Lena said she no longer wanted to go to school. The mother of Lena is pointing to the high proportion of migrant children in the class.

“Of course, trust is completely broken. Trust is broken when I see how high the proportion of migrants is in the class. I think there are twelve pupils in total, and I think eight of them have a migrant background. That is a clear majority,” she said.

She explained the small class size by the fact the school is small and due to the high proportion of migrants. Often, schools with high migrant populations receive more resources from the state in Germany, often to the detriment of schools with higher ethnic German populations who will receive fewer funds.

The school has fewer students. Also because it is split into secondary schools and middle schools. The secondary school branch consists mostly of immigrants and children who are then also pushed into the secondary school branch.

However, despite the small class size, the mother also said that the teaching conditions are poor.

“My child had almost no geography lessons for half a year. My children sometimes came up to me and said, we only had three lessons today, and that was with a substitute. Or we only had four lessons today. So there is a lack of everything,” she said while explaining the lack of supervision despite the small class size.

“It is the case that the children really no longer have anyone they can trust at this school. And it is also the case that the teachers are sometimes in the classroom in pairs, but they are not in control of the situation. The students show up when they want and leave when they want. There are practically no rules for them.”

German schools have become increasingly diverse, and assaults have skyrocketed, especially in large cities such as Berlin.

Last year, Stefan Düll, the president of the German Teachers’ Association, said the education system was being overwhelmed by migrants.

“Due to immigration in 2015, the war in Ukraine and other immigration, new people are constantly coming into the system, but the system is slow to keep up because it is moving too fast,” said Dülli, who told news agency DTS that the school system was overloaded due to excessive immigration.

The president says that a high proportion of these children speak little or no German, which is putting an enormous burden on teachers.

“After all, they don’t speak Farsi or Ukrainian. How are they supposed to teach them?” he asked.

He said that students are also less motivated. “The higher the percentage of immigrants, the more difficult it is to motivate the class,” stated Düll. In his opinion, the high number of immigrants could also lead to “the group of illiterates becoming larger.” As Remix News reported last year, 25 percent of 4th graders cannot read in Germany.

In Berlin, 40 percent of students do not speak German as their native language, and in cities like Hamburg, the majority of students have a migrant background.

Remix News has reported on the crisis in German school systems before, along with other Western nations like France, due to mass immigration. Language is not the only issue, as multiculturalism has also led to conflicts in classrooms, social divisions, and even violence against teachers.
