JK Rowling accuses Scottish council of celebrating violent trans prisoner by flying flag – ‘You’re f*****g kidding me!’

Harry Potter author JK Rowling has accused a Scottish council of honouring the death of a violent trans prisoner.

Rowling lashed out at Edinburgh City Council after they flew the transgender flag above the City Chambers to mark Transgender Day of Remembrance.

The only Scottish person on the official list of those being commemorated was Tiffany Scott, previously known as Andrew Burns, who was one of the UK’s most violent inmates before the 32-year-old’s death in February.

Scott was convicted of a series of dangerous offences, including serious violence against women and the stalking of a 13-year-old girl.

The prisoner had been deemed an “unmanageable risk to public safety,” and continued the violent spree in prison, biting prison nurses and officers, smearing excrement in a cell and ripping up “tear-proof” clothing in a suicide attempt.

The criminal was serving an indefinite sentence under an order for lifelong restriction and was said to be one of the most threatening people in the prison system.

Scott came out as trans in 2016, but did not go under any physical transitioning and did not possess a gender recognition certificate.

Despite the inmate’s convictions for serious violence against women, it was reported that a move to a women’s prison had been approved.

However this was stopped following the public outcry over trans rapist Isla Bryson being sent to a female prison.

In a post on X, JK Rowling quoted Edinburgh Council’s tweet about Trans Remembrance Day and wrote: “Really looking forward to the day a flag is flown for Scottish victims of femicide, but sure, let’s hear the list of trans people who’ve been murdered in Scotland. Ever.”

In response to a comment from feminist campaign group, For Women Scotland, which stated that the only Scottish person on the list was Scott, Rowling replied: “You have to be f*****g kidding me.”

Further questions were raised regarding Scott’s inclusion on the list, considering the criminal’s death was not reported to be linked to transphobia.

Scott died in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after becoming unwell in February.

Marion Calder of For Women Scotland echoed Rowlings views, and said: “It’s absolutely ridiculous for Edinburgh Council to raise this flag. It’s virtue signalling for one of the most dangerous prisoners that Scotland has ever had.”

A city council spokesman said: “We’re extremely proud to be one of the friendliest and most diverse cities in the world. Everyone is welcome to make Edinburgh their home and to live their lives with dignity and free from prejudice.”

The spokesman added that the flag has been flown annually since 2019 above the City Chambers to remember those who have lost their lives to transgender violence.

Thought Police – UK Police crack down on critics of Islamic terror

On a Sunday morning, the Essex police showed up at the home of Telegraph columnist Allison Pearson to interrogate her because she had tweeted a photo of Manchester police officers posing with the Islamist Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, some of whose leading members were recently charged with terrorism offenses.

Pearson’s crime, which resulted in the formation of a “gold group” normally used for dealing with major crimes, was tweeting “look at this lot smiling with the Jew haters” about the ugly photo.

The Essex police claimed that “a complaint of a possible criminal offence was made” of “potentially inciting racial hatred online”. Criticizing the friendliness of the police with Pakistani “Jew haters” had become a “possible criminal offence” while Islamists hating Jews was not.

According to the Essex police, “we police without fear or favour”. In truth, they appear to hardly police anything except speech. The Essex police have stopped answering calls about drug dealing and a Sun column noted that, “in the last year, Essex police have solved just 1 in 8 robberies and violent assaults, a mere 1 out of every 10 sexual assaults and 1 in 15 burglaries.”

Earlier this month, Sussex police arrested a 63-year-old Jewish man in front of his 12-year-old daughter for referring to Gabriel Kanter-Webber, a leftist activist claiming to be a ‘rabbi’ who signed a letter demanding an end to Israel’s campaign against Hamas, as a “kapo”.

Rupert Nathan, who was locked up by Sussex police for denouncing the anti-Israel activist on a private Facebook group, stated that “My daughter was in tears – completely inconsolable. Still now she has this deep fear that the police are going to take me away and put me in jail.”

Ian Christopher Austin, Baron Austin of Dudley, was told by West Midlands police that he had been investigated for a tweet describing Hamas as “a death cult of Islamist murderers and rapists”. Apparently the authorities considered the “Islamist” part to be offensive.

These are only a few of the more prominent recent examples of a police crackdown on even the mildest forms of criticism of Islamic terrorism and appeasement by the police and public figures.

These arrests and investigations come after Islamic terrorist supporters have rampaged around the streets of London, Manchester and other cities, waving the flags of illegal foreign terrorist organizations including that of Hamas with no actions or consequences. Instead an infamous viral video from last year showed London Metro police officers arresting a man for saying that he did not want to see ‘Palestinian’ flags all over the city.

British police officers have been filmed refusing to take action against terrorist supporters advocating violence, calling for the killing of Jews and expressing support for terror groups.

The authorities are not cracking down on hate speech or on the incitement to violence, but on politically incorrect speech and on journalists and elected officials whom the Left opposes.

Over the summer, the Starmer government issued a message on social media warning, “Think before you post.” It launched a ruthless suppression campaign, raiding homes, arresting and imprisoning people opposed to mass migration after a Muslim terrorist murdered 3 girls.

“Think before you post!” the Crown Prosecution Service threatened. “Remind those close to you to share responsibly or face the consequences.”

Bernadette Spofforth, a 55-year-old British woman, was dragged out of her home, arrested and held for 36 hours for posting that the murderer was a Muslim terrorist. The charge she was held under was “posting inaccurate information”. The actual inaccurate information was coming from the government which had lied about the terrorist’s religion and arrested those who spoke out.

The government’s reign of terror against critics of Islam and mass migration has dovetailed with a reign of terror by Islamists and their political allies who have held major cities hostage.

While the situation has worsened with the rise of the Starmer regime and Justice Minister Shabana Mahmood, who had her own history of ugly anti-Israel activism, it has become routine for police officers to pay such threatening house calls to people from all walks of life.

Even as crime rose 10% over the last year, thought-crimes are being pursued with added vigor.

Beyond intimidating opponents of Islamic terrorism, the police have also taken to threatening and intimidating women who are opposed to their privacy being violated by transgender men.

Julie Bindel, a feminist author critical of transgender identity politics, had the police show up during a family meal after a transgender man in the Netherlands reported one of her tweets.

Maya Forstater, whose case for women’s rights and against transgenderism became a cause celebre when it was embraced by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, was investigated for 15 months over a tweet about a transgender doctor. In a Kafkaesque twist, the authorities initially refused to tell her what she was being investigated for, only that it involved a transgender person. Forstater was warned that she could be arrested if she did not cooperate.

Former MP Tom Hunt described being reported to the Suffolk police for writing diplomatically of the need to “confront the possibility that a disproportionate number of crimes are committed by individuals from certain communities”.

Many of these investigations are legally baseless and carried out in defiance of the actual law.

Back in 2021, the Merseyside police had put up billboards warning that “being offensive is an offence”. An infamous picture of one of those featured masked police officers threateningly posing in front of one such sign. The force admitted that being offensive is not actually a crime.

And yet investigations of people for offending Islamists, leftists and radical activists continue.

The purpose of these investigations is simply intimidation. Like the “being offensive is an offence” billboards and “think before you post”, the purpose is to silence those who speak out.

The UK has become a totalitarian state where free speech, not Islamic terror, is seen as the greatest threat. The rise of Islamic terror has been matched by police terror aimed at critics.

After Muslim terrorists attacked the Charlie Hebdo satire magazine over its Mohammed cartoons, anti-terror units in the UK visited newsstands to collect the names of those who had bought copies. Rather than collecting the lists of names of Muslim terrorists, the authorities were collecting lists of names of those who might be guilty of offending them. And that is true now.

British police forces have failed to act against Muslim mobs attacking Jews, but they have taken action against Jews who have been in the vicinity of those mobs. A London Met police officer warned a Jewish man near a Muslim pro-terror rally that he was “quite openly Jewish” and since “this is a pro-Palestinian march”, he might be guilty of causing a “breach of the peace.”

London Police Commissioner Mark Rowley defended the actions of the police.

Supporting Islamic terrorism is not a crime in the UK. Speaking out against it, falling victim to it or standing up against it is.

German Journalist Could Face Prison for Mocking Government Officials

David Bendels (Picture: David Bendels)

The editor-in-chief of the conservative news website Deutschland-Kurier has been heavily fined and could even face prison time for mocking the German Social Democrat Interior Minister Nancy Faeser in a couple of satirical memes that he shared on his X account.

According to the editor, David Bendels, the actions of the minister are a “new attack on the freedom of the press and freedom of expression.” He added that he would mount a legal challenge.

One of the memes in question was posted by Bendels in February. In it, Nancy Faeser is shown holding up a sign, with the words: “I hate freedom of expression.”

In another satirical image, posted by Bendels last year, Faeser, as well as the country’s president Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the head of the domestic intelligence agency, Thomas Haldenwang, can be seen wielding bats as they surround a beaten-up AfD lawmaker, Andreas Jurca. The caption next to the image reads: “Steinmeier, Haldenwang, and Faeser took part in the beating in Augsburg.” The meme refers to the brutal attack on Andreas Jurca last year. The Bavarian lawmaker, a member of the anti-immigration AfD party, sustained severe injuries after being punched and kicked to the ground by a group of foreign men.

The interior minister filed criminal charges, accusing Bendels of wanting to “defame” Faeser. As a result of court decisions, he has to pay a hefty fine. The editor-in-chief told Junge Freiheit that he is afraid that the public prosecutor’s office could even demand a prison sentence.

David Bendels said that the meme showing Faeser holding up a sign is “obviously a satirical-critical photo montage,” and the fact that the minister took issue with it only reinforces the message on the sign, namely that she “hates freedom of expression.” The editor-in-chief also criticised the judges who handed out the fines, saying they have been “politically instrumentalised,” and that they are obediently carrying out orders targeting government-critical media.

Under a law introduced by the previous Angela Merkel-led German government, politicians have the right to file a criminal complaint if they believe that they have been the target of defamatory comments in relation to their official duties. Someone found guilty of such a crime can be fined or sent to prison for up to three years.

Germany: Yemeni migrant raped 14-year-old girl at Munich bus stop after demanding sex through translation app

ai-photo-generator

A Yemeni migrant has confessed to raping a 14-year-old girl after isolating her at a bus stop and demanding sex through a translation app. The 35-year-old man, who does not speak German, is on trial in Munich for the crime.

Abdulanaser A. approached the girl at a bus stop in January in the Dachau district and demanded sex through a translation app. The girl tried to flee, but the Yemeni man followed her and forced the young woman into a nearby wooden hut. He then raped her and also managed to obtain her phone number from the woman’s phone.

The girl was so scared during the incident, that she lost consciousness, according to the prosecutor.

Remarkably, the man was only caught because he decided to text the girl after the incident. He sent pornography to the woman and demanded nude photos, according to Süddeutsche Zeitung.

The police were then able to trace his number and arrest him.

During the trial, the man confessed to the crime, but he did not give any further explanation for the rape. He had his lawyer apologize to the girl. The man has been in custody since his arrest, with a verdict expected next month. The charge of rape carries a sentence between six months and up to five years in prison.

Muslim immigrants from Africa in Austria claim that Quran lessons are more important than school lessons

A recent study by the Documentation Centre for Political Islam shows just how problematic immigration from Islamic countries is. Immigrants from Somalia, Sudan and West Africa were asked about their religious attitudes. In the survey, 52.3 per cent said that Quran lessons were more important than school lessons, and 38.2 per cent were of the opinion that Quran and school lessons were ‘equally important’. And only just under ten per cent consider Quran lessons to be ‘less important’ or ‘much less important’ than school lessons.

The study also shows that for Muslims from Somalia, Quran lessons are far more important than school lessons than for their fellow Muslims from West Africa. While 45.7 per cent of Somalis consider Quran lessons to be ‘much more important’ than school lessons, only 21.6 per cent of West Africans do. The advantages of Quran schools according to the survey were that they teach children to ‘sit still and train their memory’.

Those Muslims who consider Quran lessons to be more important than school lessons are far more likely to hold radical religious beliefs. For example, 23.4 per cent of those in favour of Quran lessons believe that scantily clad women are complicit in harassment, but only 15.2 per cent of those who consider school lessons to be more important. On the question of whether Muslim women should wear headscarves, the ratio is 33.6 per cent to 16.0 per cent.

Another worrying result of the study by the Documentation Centre for Political Islam is that many Muslims consider the Quran to be more important than Austrian laws. Almost a quarter (24.7 per cent) stated that the laws of Austria should ‘definitely not’ be obeyed if they contradict the Quran, and a further 22.9 per cent chose the answer option ‘rather not’.

Stuck on stupid: Jaguar takes a drive off Bud Light cliff

By Monica Showalter

Some things I can’t understand.

Such as how a storied old company with a golden brand name could desecrate its image through a new campaign “proving” that it’s woke and out of touch with the public?

Take a look at Jaguar’s new image, beginning with an opening ad:

The got rid of the big cat, though it seems to survive on a logo square full of T.V.-on-the-fritz lines in one incarnation. They created a noodly-looking round logo reminiscent of Tori Burch designer wear, circa 2004. They scrapped their beautiful “wordmark” or company name written in distinctive fonts, and created one straight from from the 1970s groove scene.

Worse still, they put out a car-free ad full of youthful wokesters wearing colored trashbag fashion seen on Paris runways these days. It doesn’t look anything like the old classic Jaguar image which was of speed and luxury, with guys in Cary Grant suits. Where are the cars?

This in fact looks more like the Last Supper scene from the Paris Olympics — men wearing women’s clothes, fluorescent colors of the kind seen in gay discos. Take at look at this guy out front in yellow from the video — clown pants all puffy at the hips just like you see on Ronald McDonald. The only thing that’s missing are the big red shoes:

Image: Screen shot from Jaguar video, via YouTube

According trade journal Creative Bloq:

Car rebrands are always big news in design circles, particularly when they involve brand new logos. So when Jaguar yesterday debuted not one, but three new designs, comprising a wordmark, monogram and tweaked version of its famous leaping animal, it certainly made a splash. And, as you might expect, the reactions have been strong with this one.

With a minimal wordmark featuring a mixture of upper and lowercase letters, and cyperpunk-esque marketing imagery, this isn’t what people expected from the luxury sports car brand. While others are opting for a heritage look, Jaguar is leaning into ‘modern’. And it’s proving too much for many, with commentators across the whole of social media sharing their thoughts – including Elon Musk.

The site recommended a gander at the car’s enthusiasts’ page on Reddit, where we learned the new logo was not going over well.

“Stupid, stupid, stupid” said one. “Still looks like macaroni to me,” said another. “So a high end massage parlor font, great job,” said yet another. “A logo for a company doing furniture or kitchens,” another opined. “Feels like it belongs in some kind of fast food joint.” … “It looks like something you’d find on yogurt container.”

Suffice to say, not many liked it.

Elon Musk, who owns Tesla, asked them if they still sold cars.

They seem to be selling just image now, pay no attention to the car, or the value of the car, which as Jaguar owners from my old Beverly Hills neighborhood have told me, is frequently in the shop.

Nor is it the image they claim it is, which is original, given the 1970s association of the font style and the woke hipsters featured in the ad. The character throwing a hammer around in his women’s clothing is clearly a copy of the Apple ad about challenging the dominant paradigm. Even Hillary Clinton borrowed from that, way back in 2016. Been there, done that.

We’ve all seen it before, yet these idiots keep pushing it, calling it ‘original,’ and as Jaguar says: “copy nothing.”

Actually, they copy a lot, and what they copy has been resolutely rejected by the public.

Jaguar is defiant, though, biting back instead of listening to its customers, as the Daily Mail reports:

British carmaker Jaguar has hit back at critics of their rebrand after they released an advert without any cars in it.

The manufacturer unveiled a new logo on Tuesday as part of their rebrand, as well as a cryptic and colorful advert.

Posting the video to their social media site, the ad shows a group of models dressed in bright and flamboyant clothing.

The ad occasionally pops up with text reading ‘create exuberant’, ‘live vivid’, ‘delete ordinary’, ‘break moulds’ and ‘copy nothing’.

As it does so, the characters can be seen grabbing at sledgehammers, painting over the screen and posing for photographs in sync.

And it’s as lemmings-like as can be, going the way of other troubled classic brands that have tried to get all fashionable and hip, to generally bad reviews. I certainly stopped being a Burberry customer when they started trying to appeal to the trans and Diddy crowd in their imagery — the clothes looked chaotic and artificial and the quality went downhill. Same with Brooks Brothers, which is now crawling out of bankruptcy for it, though they didn’t damage their brand as badly as some of them — Abercrombie & Fitch springs to mind, which went the pervert route as if they were trying to appeal to that crowd.

Now Jaguar is letting itself go to heck on the brand name, and never got the memo about what happened to Bud Light when it went hip, trans, and Hollywood.

In some ways it’s fitting though. The ugly mess is reported to be the work of 800 people, which sounds like rule by committee, and with similar result. What’s more, the new logo suggests the British upper class no longer believes in itself — it hates itself, actually. This ad is pretty expressive of self hate. So now we get this. Let’s see how well this goes for them.

Canadian MP reported to have told constituent not to talk about vaccine injury program’s failings

Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) VISP website screenshot

A report claims that at least one federal Canadian MP told a constituent not to speak badly of reported delays in Canada’s Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) as well as the bungling of the program in general.

According to a report by Rebel News, one MP warned a constituent not to do media interviews, saying that doing so could hurt their ability to get support from the program.

The report claims the alleged advice from the unnamed MP shows a total lack of transparency and accountability regarding the VISP program, which has paid out little to COVID-19-injured victims.

Multiple reports have highlighted major flaws in the VISP program, leaving many claimants with COVID jab injuries in limbo for weeks waiting for answers. About half of the money spent on the program appears to be going to administrators.

According to official VISP data, which was last updated on June 1, 2,628 claims have been filed by COVID-19-injured people but only 183 have been approved for compensation. The total amount paid out sits at $14,080,434.

Broken down, each claimant would have received or will receive an average of $78,000 in monetary compensation. The next update from VISP will be on December 1.

VISP was officially announced in December 2020, around the time the federal government under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau allowed the first COVID-19 injections for use in Canada. Of important note is the launch came after the government gave vaccine makers a shield from liability regarding jab-related injuries.

Despite the need for a federal program to address those injured by the vaccines once mandated by the Trudeau government, Health Canada still says “(I)t’s safe to receive a COVID-19 vaccine following infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. Vaccination is very important, even if you’ve had COVID-19.”

Interestingly, the safety claims did not stop the government from earmarking an extra $36 million for VISP in its 2024 budget.

LifeSiteNews has published an extensive amount of research on the dangers of the experimental COVID mRNA jabs, which include heart damage and blood clots.

The mRNA shots have also been linked to a multitude of negative and often severe side effects in children.

Canadian Mother Was Told To Be More “Inclusive” After Complaining About A Male Wearing A “Child’s Bikini” While Showering With Young Girls At Her Local Pool

The mother of a young girl in British Columbia, Canada, is speaking out after a man in a pink, sparkly bikini — adorned with sparkles, frills and princess tiaras — was found showering in the female changing room of her local public pool. After reporting the man’s presence, she was told that the facility “welcomes and celebrates diversity.”

Angie Tyrrell of Saanich, BC, spoke to Reduxx about the distressing experience, which occurred on July 5 of this year at Commonwealth Place, a local recreation center. Tyrrell recounts she had brought her daughter, who was 10 at the time, and her daughter’s friend, who was 11, for a playdate at the pool, where she watched them from the sidelines. After the girls were done, Tyrrell waited for them in the bathroom area of the female changing room.

But what should have been a peaceful end to a fun-filled day quickly turned to panic after the young girls ran out of the shower room. Approaching Tyrrell, the two whispered: “There was a man in the shower with us.” Terrified, Tyrrell instructed the girls to get changed out of their bathing suits inside of the nearby toilet stalls so that the man would not see them undress.

Soon after, the man entered the bathroom area. Tyrrell witnessed a teenage girl with her top off immediately cover herself and flee into a toilet stall upon spotting him. There were numerous women and children in the room, and Tyrrell noted that they all instantly appeared to become uncomfortable and moved to hurriedly get dressed and disperse. Tyrrell says the man, who was muscular and had a hairy chest and back, was wearing what appeared to be a pink child-like bikini, which was adorned with princess tiaras, sparkles, and frills.

After the girls were finished changing, Tyrrell approached the reception desk to alert staff that a male was in the female change room. Tyrrell tells Reduxx that staff were dismissive, even when she stated: “He’s wearing a child’s bikini, but he’s definitely a man.”

Upset and concerned, Tyrrell attempted to contact higher ups at the Commonwealth Pool via e-mails she shared with Reduxx.

Bree Dobler, the assistant manager of the facility, responded to Tyrrell in an email signed with “she/her” pronouns. In her first reply, Dobler didn’t appear to understand the problem, and seemed to simply believe there was a concern about the man’s bikini.

“While the District of Saanich welcomes and celebrates diversity, and we encourage visitors to our Recreation Facilities to use the restroom or changeroom with which they identify and where they feel most safe. All patrons are expected to respect the privacy and identity of others and wear appropriate attire for swimming as outlined in our Code of Conduct. You did the right thing by approaching staff with your concerns and it is unfortunate that they did not take your concerns seriously and call the onsite supervisor to gain better understanding of the situation and follow up accordingly. I will be following up with our staffing teams in this regard,” Dobler said, adding: “Should it assist with your comfort on your next visit we do have the option of universal or single stall washrooms or changerooms for patrons with concerns for their own modesty or want to maintain more privacy.”

Tyrrell replied incredulously, re-articulating her concern.

“I don’t think it’s right that a man’s wish to ‘feel most safe’ in women’s only spaces should be deemed a higher priority than the legitimate physical and emotional need for women and girls to actually be safe… You say if we are concerned that we should use the universal change room. But why should all of the women—who the women’s change facility is for—have to leave to accommodate a man?”

Dobler’s next email took on a distinctly sharper tone.

“…everyone’s gender identity and expressions are valid. Everyone is welcome in our centres in the changeroom where they feel most safe. Gender expression and identity is protected under BC’s Human Rights Code and we are proud to have a Diversity in Changerooms Policy in our centres,” she wrote. “There is no evidence to support that providing diversity in changerooms has increased incidents or safety of others. I understand that the topic of gender diversity in change rooms can be sensitive and presented the option of the universal or single stall washrooms or changerooms. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued. I understand that this is a complex issue and appreciate the open dialogue and feedback. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us make our community more inclusive.”

Tyrrell then sent a final email to Dobler, which went ignored. It partly read: “I see where you’re coming from now. You actually believe that the 6-foot-tall muscular man with the hairy chest and back who took a shower with my 10-year-old daughter was a woman because he was wearing a bikini. That is magical/religious thinking.”

Since her experience at the Commonwealth Pool, Tyrrell has refused to use the public facilities in Saanich, as she fears it is unsafe for her and her daughter. The two have not returned to the recreation center.

Staff at Saanich Commonwealth Place did not respond to a request for comment.

The BC Human Rights Code referred to by Dobler does prioritize self-declared “gender,” allowing males to enter female-only spaces on the basis of their chosen “identity.” On the province’s website, the government of British Columbia asserts that “trans people must be recognized and treated as the gender they live in and prefer to express.” Businesses and public facilities that fail to accommodate trans-identified males may be subject to “discrimination” claims.

This is the second publicized case involving a trans-identified male utilizing the women’s restrooms at a public recreation center on Vancouver Island. Just one hour north of Saanich is Nanaimo, where one mother was threatened with police after reporting that a male had been “watching” her daughter change in the women’s restroom of the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre.

Janayh Wright, a photographer and mother of three, spoke to Reduxx about her own encounter with the man in February of last year.

Wright says that while in the changing room waiting for her young daughter, she witnessed a man wearing a wig and a face mask enter the women’s facility and proceeded to walk over to the shower area. Wright says he did not have a towel or pool bag, and gave no indication that he was getting changed or going swimming. He then returned and entered the stall next to the one Wright’s daughter was changing in.

Wright then witnessed the man try to peer under the stall divider and into the cubical her daughter was using. She immediately confronted him as he exited, but the man simply responded that he identified as female and that it was his “human right to be in the women’s changing room.”

Biased BBC Sides With Labour Government Against British Farmers

Screen grab X

Britain’s main broadcaster has echoed the Labour government’s disputed claim that just hundreds—rather than tens of thousands—of family farms will be hit by inheritance tax reforms, prompting furious claims of bias.

BBC ‘Verify,’ a fact-checking service regularly bashed over its “record of failure,” yesterday claimed the National Farmers’ Union’s view that this new levy will impact up to 70,000 farms is “almost certainly an overestimate,” adding that the “true share of farms affected going forward is likely to be much closer to the Treasury estimates.”

But campaigners say the government relied on phoney figures while drafting this so-called “tractor tax,” which will do a great amount of damage to farmers across the country. Tory MP Stuart Andrew complained that “the government is refusing to say how many family farms are subject to their tax raid, only offering partial and out-of-date statistics which fail to account for the full scale of their reforms.”

The taxpayers pay for the BBC to be independent and free from bias, not for them to regurgitate Labour lines. This matter should be immediately looked into and corrected.”

The Verify unit, which boasts a team of 60 investigative journalists, has been forced to correct an error in one of its fact-checking articles after it confused hectares for acres.

BBC journalist Victoria Derbyshire also did her best to focus on personality rather than politics in a much-criticised interview with TV personality-turned-farmer Jeremy Clarkson during yesterday’s protest outside Parliament.

Migration Watch’s Mike Jones highlighted online that the BBC “never uses this line of questioning with BLM protesters or the array of environmental activists.”

BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine then designated much of his show on Wednesday to a discussion on whether Clarkson was a good representative of the farmer movement, rather than on the far more important issue of how the tax will impact Britain’s food security.

It is no surprise, then, that Clarkson received the warm reception he did when he asked at the London demonstration: “Since when was the BBC the mouthpiece of this infernal government?”

While France now looks set to vote against the treaty between the EU and the South American Mercosur bloc following fresh protests by farmers, Starmer says he would stand by the budget which saw this levy imposed on farmers “all day long.” In order to keep up the pressure, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has urged farmers to protest not just in London but “in market towns all across the country, especially in ones that have small Labour majorities.”
