Meloni Vows To Fight Court Ruling Blocking Migrant Transfers to Albania

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni has vowed to keep fighting the politicized court ruling that barred the first shipment of migrants from being transported to the country’s offshore detention centers in Albania. The prime minister is working on changing the rules about designating countries as ‘safe,’ and is set to present her proposal to the Council of Ministers later on Monday, October 21st.

“As long as we have the support of the citizens, we will continue to work with determination, with our heads held high, to implement our program and help Italy grow, become strong, credible, and respected,” PM Meloni wrote on social media on Monday, promising to go through with the plan one way or another. “We owe it to the Italians, to those who chose us, and to those who, despite not having voted for us, hope that we do our job well.”

As we reported, Italy’s ‘Albania protocol’ suffered a heavy blow just days after opening the centers, as a court in Rome ruled against housing the first dozen migrants there. The court ruled that their countries of origin (Egypt and Bangladesh) could not be considered ‘safe,’ despite being on the government’s list of at least partially safe countries to which fast-tracked repatriation is possible.

The Rome Civil Court’s ruling cited an earlier decision from the European Court of Justice (ECJ), which found EU member states can only designate whole countries as safe, not parts of regions. The ECJ said that although nearly all of Moldova would count as safe, its tiny break-away republic, Transnistria, is not. That ruling forced Czechia to grant asylum to a man regardless of which part of Moldova he came from.

Now, although the Italian court justified its position by citing this ruling, it did not use the geographical argument but instead said Egypt and Bangladesh could not be considered safe for “certain categories of people”—Bangladesh was unsafe for LGBT individuals and so-called climate refugees, while Egypt was unsafe for political dissidents. In practice, therefore, the court established the 12 migrants as part of these groups in less than two days without ever meeting them or holding a single hearing.

Italian media notes that the move was expected, as the judge responsible for the ruling, Silvia Albano, has been unusually outspoken about her stance on migration and has stated several times before that she believes the entire Albania protocol to be “legally unfeasible.” Albano also has a long record of criticizing the government and siding with the radical left in many cases and is said to have personal connections to the social democrat PD party.

Government officials reacted to the ruling with outrage, saying that the court was assuming competence that was never its own to begin with. “It cannot be the judiciary that defines a state as more or less safe—it’s a high-level political decision,” Justice Minister Carlo Nordio explained.

Meloni, therefore, is working on a political solution that she will present to her cabinet Monday evening, at 6 p.m. The idea is to redefine the criteria for a country to be considered ‘safe,’ as well as the political process of recognizing it as such. The prime minister stressed, however, that the fundamental problem is not about these legal nuances, but about the way the partisan judiciary approaches migration, in effect waging a war on the government based on ideological convictions.

“The problem is that you cannot implement any policy to defend your borders,” Meloni said. “I do not believe that it is the competence of the judiciary to establish which countries are safe and which are not. This is the competence of the government. And so perhaps the government should clarify better what is meant by a safe country.”

Britons can experience the magic of Christmas and Easter together with Aldi’s Dairyfine Hollow Character Eggs – ‘I was so confused!’

Aldi’s Dairyfine Hollow Character Eggs are available now Aldi

Aldi has garnered lots of attention with its latest festive offering: Christmas-themed hollow chocolate eggs.

Dubbed “Chreaster Eggs,” these unconventional treats have sparked a debate among shoppers across the UK. The supermarket’s bold move to blend Easter and Christmas confectionery traditions has left some customers ecstatic, while others remain sceptical.

Aldi’s Dairyfine Hollow Character Eggs (£1.99 for 62g) are available in two festive designs: Garry the Gingerbread Man and Parker the Penguin. Shoppers can snap them up in stores now.

These “Chreaster Eggs” are positioned as perfect stocking fillers, combining the familiar hollow egg shape with Christmas-themed packaging.

The unique concept has caught the attention of shoppers who have already spotted the chocolatey treat in stores.

Under a post by Aldi on X, one shopper said: “I saw these in my Aldi on Saturday and I was so confused.”

A second shopper posted a shocked-face emoji alongside the comment: “Easter eggs for Xmas.” To this, a spokesman from Aldi responded: “Someone had to do it at some point!”

Several Aldi customers were delighted to welcome Aldi’s latest chocolate treat. One said: “I’ll take them all, thank you!”

Another seconded this: “I love Aldi, just when you think they can’t do better. This is so cursed, I actually love it.” A third said: “I’m loving it.”

However, not all shoppers were impressed, admitting that they found the concept a little too unusual.

One said: “Eggs! Just no, Aldi. We all know that Christmas chocolate is either sphere, triangular, circular or hexagon-shaped! The most exotic shape allowed is Quality Street’s purple one!” Another agreed: “Just no.” A third even called it an “absolute disgrace”.

Managing director of buying at Aldi UK, Julie Ashfield, commented on the supermarket’s latest innovation.

She said: “At Aldi, we’re always looking for fun and creative ways to enhance our Christmas range.

“The ‘Chreaster egg’ trend has really taken off because it blends Easter’s most popular treat, the Easter Egg, with the beloved season of Christmas.

“Whether it’s a stocking filler or a conversation starter, we hope shoppers love our charming Dairyfine Hollow Character Eggs.”

The supermarket has been getting ready for Christmas for a while now. The Christmas Easter eggs come as Aldi unveils its 2024 Christmas range, including a “showstopping centrepiece”.

Aldi is constantly launching new products for its devoted customers. The supermarket recently debuted a £1.25 autumnal snack and shoppers were ecstatic.

French teenager stabbed to death in Rouen, ex-boyfriend arrested while catching a flight to Algeria

A 17-year-old girl was found stabbed to death in her apartment in the Grand’Mare district of Rouen on Sunday, with police arresting her 22-year-old ex-boyfriend as he attempted to flee to Algeria.

The young woman’s lifeless body was discovered by her relatives who visited the apartment after being unable to get ahold of her.

“We were called following the discovery of the body of a young woman in an apartment located in Hauts de Rouen. Immediately, strong suspicion fell on her ex-boyfriend, who was on the run,” stated Sébastien Gallois, Rouen’s public prosecutor.

The police swiftly identified the suspect and tracked him down to Paris. He was arrested at Saint-Lazare station, shortly after stepping off a train.

According to reports from Actu17, the suspect had planned to flee to the Algerian capital of Algiers via a flight from Orly Airport. He had already booked his ticket, which prosecutors are calling a premeditated escape.

The suspect is known to the police for previous offenses. He was taken into custody by officers from Rouen’s Organized and Specialized Crime Division (DCOS), where he is currently being interrogated.

Police conducted a detailed examination of the crime scene in the victim’s apartment but have not yet released further details about the motive or the timeline of events.

The investigation continues.

Germany: Is the knife attacker in Peine an Islamist after all?

Following a knife attack in the Peine district of Lower Saxony in which four people were seriously injured, it has emerged that the attack could have been an Islamist attack, despite press reports to the contrary.

‘According to unconfirmed sources, the knife attacker in Vallstedt is said to be a German convert to Islam, who is said to have told the police that he had been under guidance,’ blogger Anabel Schunke first wrote on the short messaging service X. The news website Nius then also reported on the twist in the case.

Translation: According to unconfirmed sources, the knife attacker in Vallstedt is a German who has converted to Islam and is said to have told the police that he had had guidance.

According to the online platform, the police are currently investigating a religious background to the offence. It could not be ruled out ‘that the suspect might have a mental illness’. He made an unstable impression when he was arrested. However, this does not speak against an Islamist motivation. Initially, there was only talk of a crime in a relationship in the media.

The knife attacker is said to have advertised the Quran online
The 32-year-old German was known in the neighbourhood as a convert to Islam and had also promoted his faith on social networks. ‘Read below the pictures. Authentic evidence from Quran and Sunnah and for time and Qadr,’ reads the attacker’s Instagram profile, from which Nius quotes.

With a 20-centimetre-long kitchen knife, he allegedly attacked several people indiscriminately on the street on Friday afternoon. ‘The victims, one woman and three men, were taken to neighbouring hospitals,’ said the Peine police, describing the events. They are 18, 66, 73 and 48 years old respectively, but are now all out of danger. The attacker is said to have surrendered to the police on the spot without resistance.

Knife violence also in Constance, Essen, Dortmund and Nuremberg
There are also reports of serious knife attacks in Essen, Constance, Dortmund and Nuremberg over the weekend, according to research by the website ‘Messerinzidenz’. In Constance, for example, a 26-year-old man was seriously injured by two attackers. In Essen, the police are searching for the perpetrator after an attack on a 34-year-old man.

It is said that he was only prevented from stabbing his victim by the intervention of passers-by. The seriously injured man had to be taken to hospital immediately, but his life is now out of danger.

‘We Must Remedy This’ — Leaked Email Shows Italian Magistrates Seeking to Undermine Meloni on Migration

Screen grab youtube

A leaked email has shown that Italian leftists within the judicial branch are seeking to derail Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s immigration policies amid the standoff over removing illegals to Albania.

On Sunday, the Rome-based newspaper Il Tempo published an email from Marco Patarnello, the deputy prosecutor of the Supreme Court, to members of the Democratic Magistracy, a left-wing faction within the National Association of Magistrates.

In his message to fellow magistrates, Patarnello warned that Meloni’s political power in Italy must be challenged by the judiciary, such as the decision to send illegals back to Italy from detention centres in Albania.

The prosecutor argued that Meloni is a difficult opponent because, unlike her predecessors, such as former PM Silvio Berlusconi, she has no criminal investigations against her and is consequently more difficult to exert pressure on.

“Undoubtedly, the attack on the judiciary has never been so strong, perhaps not even in Berlusconi’s time. In any case, today, it is a much more dangerous and insidious attack for many reasons. First of all, because Meloni has no judicial investigations against her and therefore, she does not move for personal interests but for political visions, and this makes her much stronger,” the email said.

Patarnello claimed that Meloni’s government is also more cohesive than those in the past, and thus, “the political force it can express is enormous and can really question a constitutional structure by overturning key principles that we considered intangible.”

The deputy Supreme Court prosecutor said magistrates should unite to solidify their power base and confront the supposed power imbalance, declaring that “we absolutely must remedy this.”

The email has been taken as evidence by Meloni’s allies that judicial activists are attempting to use the legal system to stymie her government and by extension, the will of the voters.

Leader of Meloni’s Brothers of Italy in the parliament, Tommaso Foti, said the email “confirms the propensity of a part of the judiciary to invade the field of politics.”

Lucio Malan, who leads her party in the Senate, said that Patarnello’s email is “a disconcerting call to arms” and shows that magistrates seek to have a “political role” in Italy.

Meanwhile, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio called for an “immediate inspection by the Ministry of Justice regarding Marco Paternello’s behaviour.”

The growing tension between the government in Rome and the judicial branch in Italy came after judges, citing a decision by the European Court of Justice, found that the government’s decision to classify countries such as Bangladesh and Egypt as “safe” for migrants to be returned to was unlawful given that not all of the territory could be guaranteed not to be subject to persecution, torture or indiscriminate violence.

The ruling meant that 12 migrants sent to Albanian detention centres earlier this week were shipped back to Italy. The ruling has also thrown the illegal migrant deterrence strategy into doubt and potentially sparked a constitutional crisis.

On Monday, Meloni will gather her cabinet to approve a decree law listing the countries Rome has determined to be “safe” for deportation. Meloni has argued that this move should solve the legal hurdles; however, it is unclear if judges in Italy or potentially at the European level will agree.

Would the BBC have livestreamed a speech by Adolph Hitler? So why did it do so for Khamenei?

Wikimedia Commons, Zizzu02,  CC-BY-SA-3.0

by Giulio Meotti

The BBC live streamed the entire speech of Iranian Ayatollah Khamenei (armed with a rifle). This took up 40 minutes of air time and the TV inserted his quotes in its banner: “October 7 was logical and legal” and “The missile attack on Israel is legal and legitimate”.

It is hard to imagine the BBC live streaming a speech by Hitler in 1942 and reporting the quotes in the banner at the bottom of the screen.

And while Liliane Landor, the former director of news for the BBC, defended Hezbollah, the public TV invited Islamists to talk about immigration and Palestinian Arab doctors who incite to “kill the Jews”.

In 2004 the BBC was renamed the “Baghdad Broadcasting Corporation” because its news programs seemed to have been written by Saddam Hussein. Today, in 2024, it should be called “Tehran Broadcasting Corporation”.

The English ironically call it “Auntie”. The very size of the BBC and the vastness of its reach, a huge public monopoly, an almost Soviet-style bureaucratic apparatus, accountable to no one, means that “BBC truth” is instantly believed.

A few days ago the BBC agreed to broadcast a documentary about the massacre of 364 young Israelis at the Nova Festival by Hamas, but on the condition that the terrorists were not called “terrorists”.

Former BBC presenter Don Maclean says the TV “supports Islam and attacks Christianity”.

It started in 2005, after the London bombings, when the BBC decided to call the four suicide bombers “perpetrators of the attack”. Then, in 2007, the fear of offending Muslims living in Great Britain pushed Channel 4 of the broadcaster to change the plot of a television series, Casualty, deleting the suicide attack of an Islamic terrorist from the script, under pressure from the internal committee of the TV that oversees its content.

Another significant episode is the interview with the Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, made and then deleted for fear of triggering an Islamist reaction. The famous cartoonist, who lived with an escort like a head of state, compared this decision to that of the British appeasement of Hitler.

The BBC has also decided that jokes, even irreverent ones, can continue to be made about the Vatican and the Jews, but not about Islam. This was established by Mark Thompson, director of the British public service. The reason? Muslims “are more sensitive” than Christians (Jews do not even deserve an explanation, however lame) and therefore it is better not to irritate them.

George Orwell worked at the BBC producing radio programs during the Second World War. The writer left in 1943 because, as he explained in his resignation letter, at the BBC he was “wasting his time and public money on work that doesn’t produce results”. But his experience at the BBC had become a source of inspiration for him: he named “Room 101” in 1984 after a TV meeting room of the same name. The new 1984 Ministry of Truth’ is a newsroom.

Fear of criticizing Islam has made the West incapable of defending itself, while Khamenei has launched a “cognitive war” against and within the West. And Western television and other media have become their useful idiots.

Deserted Altars, Satan in the Streets

screen grab youtube

Unprecedented in recent French history, the archbishop of Toulouse, a big city in the southwest of France, has just decided to dedicate his city to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. At issue is the installation in the streets of the city of a show with satanic symbolism—all financed by public funds.

The city of Toulouse has just welcomed to its city centre a questionable machine, nicknamed Lilith, depicting a disturbing creature that is half-woman, half-scorpion, with spider legs and ram’s horns. The invention was originally developed for the Hellfest festival, held every year in Brittany. This international gathering of metal bands is always the occasion for a debauchery of satanic references and mortifying symbols, even if the organisers insist that it’s simply a question of “culture” and that there’s nothing wrong with these artistic representations of dubious taste.

The Lilith machine, flanked by two others of the same species, is due to parade through the streets of Toulouse from October 25th to 27th, for a major open-air performance with an unambiguous name: “The Gates of Darkness.” This is the second edition of the show, which already attracted nearly 800,000 people in 2018.

The creator of this chimerical character, François Delarozière, is willing to be provocative. According to the Christian newspaper La Croix, Lilith, the ‘guardian of darkness’, is adorned with an earring in the shape of an inverted cross and is there to “symbolise the tensions raised by the show.”

The character of Lilith comes from Mesopotamian mythology, originally depicted as a she-wolf with a scorpion’s tail. She is also to be found in Talmudic tradition, as a female demon who kills newborn babies and seduces men to create other demons. According to the Kabbalah, an esoteric Jewish tradition, Lilith refers to Adam’s first wife, fashioned like him from clay and not from his rib. Hence the infatuation with the character among feminists, who see her as a figure in the struggle against patriarchal omnipotence.

During the parade in Toulouse, Lilith will be accompanied by a cohort of unequivocal symbolism: churches devoured by fire, walking skeletons, a red creature with a calf’s head…

The local Catholic authorities did not take kindly to this conspicuous display of evil symbols before the eyes of the public—including children and families. The Archbishop of Toulouse, Msgr. Guy de Kerimel—usually considered a moderate and not very militant figure—didn’t meet the show’s creator but made an appointment with the mayor of Toulouse to express his concern. He said he wanted to provide a “spiritual response” to this offensive and announced his decision to dedicate “the city and the diocese to the Sacred Heart of Jesus” at a Mass on October 16th, to mark the jubilee of the 350th anniversary of the apparitions of Christ to Sister Marguerite-Marie Alacoque at Paray Le Monial—apparitions that gave rise to the cult of the Sacred Heart in France at the time of Louis XIV.

In an interview with the Christian web magazine Aleteia, he explains the significance of his approach:

This choice of show seems to me to be completely risky, all the more so at a time when French society is fragmenting and trying to find its way, and in an international context that is more than uncertain. We need a culture that gives us a little hope. Today, French society no longer perceives the future or perceives it only with difficulty. There are many signs of despair, and opening up to the light is necessary, not to say vital.

Delarozière took offence at this decision, which he described as “puritanism.” Just like the creators of Hellfest festival in Brittany, he denied any ‘satanic’ intention in his work. The ‘artist’ defended himself by explaining that he is doing “popular theatre,” and condescendingly expressed the wish that the Church “remain open to artistic creation.”

Father Simon d’Artigue, who is very active on social media, is alarmed by the omnipresence of symbols invoking the devil and darkness in the public space.  “During these three days, the seal of Lucifer and the cross of Satan will be projected in the streets,” he points out. Where the clergy are concerned about this unhealthy game with the forces of evil, the artists respond with culture and a taste for entertainment. In the words of the poet Charles Baudelaire, “the devil’s greatest trick is to persuade you that he doesn’t exist.” So there is a total lack of understanding between the two parties. The proliferation of Satanic references is obviously fuelled by the advanced de-Christianisation of Western societies. According to Msgr. de Kerimel, “Christ has been withdrawn from the cultural world which, in part, no longer wants anything to do with Christianity.” For the masses of people strolling through the streets of Toulouse, all this is just a harmless game whose ins and outs they don’t understand.

Msgr. de Kerimel compares the show “The Gates of Darkness” with the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, which so outraged world opinion a few weeks ago. He denounces a general fascination with darkness and morbidity, as demonstrated by the terrible sequence featuring the beheading of Queen Marie-Antoinette on the banks of the Seine.

However, the prelate refuses to suggest that the consecration of the city is a “magical act” to protect us from a spectacle with harmful effects. It’s not a question of replacing one esotericism with another—white magic against black magic. The consecration is there to offer “an alternative vision, a vision of hope in a troubled world.”

While there are some chagrined souls among the flock of the Archdiocese of Toulouse who no doubt deplore the ‘closed-mindedness’ of a clergy insensitive to the ‘artistic sense’ that unfolds through the contortions of the Lilith of the 21st century, the younger generation of churchgoers is delighted with Msgr. de Kerimel’s stance. “When I read the content of the show, I found it rather morbid. On the other hand, dedicating Toulouse to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a demonstration of God’s love,” explained young Marie, a 27-year-old devotee.

We can only salute the courage of the prelate, who in a context of maximum stigmatisation of the Church, has not hesitated to hold the line that gives meaning to his ministry: “to announce the ultimate victory of Christ over death and darkness.”

Angry and unstable Kamala seems to need therapy

By Noel S. Williams

Transference and projection are problematic traits inherent in psychoanalytic theory.

In my opinion, Kamala Harris exuberantly exhibits both, and is in dire need of a good … therapy session.

It doesn’t take a skilled shrink to diagnose her.  Just take what she says about Trump, and apply it to her.  Fits like a glove.

For example, she maintains that Trump is dangerous and angry, but that’s her all over.

More recently, she has taken to describing Trump as unstable.  This seems to be classic projection as it coincides with her unhinged deportment as her campaign lurches into desperation.

Despite assassination attempts, intense lawfare, recriminations against his family, constant and unfounded vilification, and despite wanton persecution … despite it all, Trump comes out smelling like roses.  While many would have shriveled up into a shrinking violet under such attacks, he exemplifies the epitome of strength and stability.

Sure, Trump displays righteous indignation about the plight of our country, but that’s balanced (or stabilized, if you please) with humor, optimism, and a resounding MAGA spirit.  By contrast, Kamala is the dopey, discombobulated candidate who is ravaged by repressed dark emotions. We don’t need her anger and instability, but she needs a darn good … shrink.

When a disturbed person laughs while committing maleficence, we don’t describe them as joyful. Nope, their vibes are more sociopathic in nature.

When someone, under imagined, self-inflicted pressure, giggles uncontrollably while fumbling for answers, we don’t ascribe good vibes to them.  Nope, they are more like hysterical excitations.

Kamala’s demeanor is the opposite of joy. She becomes angry and unstable at the slightest disruption to her comfort zone, the very traits she fobs off onto Trump. Switching between giggles and anger so contrarily are indications of instability.

As a withering, pathetic personage, Kamala can barely cope by deploying defense mechanisms like projection, a feature of psychoanalytic theory.   It’s a bit like pointing her finger at Trump, but there are three pointing back at her.

In addition to projecting her own inadequacies, Kamala also conducts transference, in which she directs unhealthy feelings about someone onto someone else. The “someone” could be her daddy, the “someone else” is often Trump.  They share the same name first name and initial:  Donald J.

Kamala emphasizes the role her mother played in her “middle-class” upbringing (unless she’s addressing a Hispanic audience, in which case she’s from the working-class). Donald J. Harris barely gets a nod — it seems she’s estranged from her father.  Indeed, she may have “daddy issues.”  Though her dad is a Marxist academic (how sick is that?  Even misguided shrinks offer society more value) she seems to be transferring her daddy-induced unhealthy feelings about masculinity and paternal dominance onto Trump.

Even the presidential pretender’s staff can’t tolerate her maudlin moodiness, as they so often fly the coop.  She’s famous for having had 92% staff turnover. One wonders if her campaign manager is next, were it not so late in the game.

While the stable and happy Trump graced the Al Smith dinner in D.C. last week, faint-of-heart Kamala was an angry recluse, then became downright unstable.  Realizing her mistake in ceding the venue to Trump, her consuming fury surfaced the following day, targeting her campaign manager.  Trump rightly fires insubordinate subordinates (those whom Kamala keeps invoking to badmouth him), Kamala doesn’t need to – they flee first.

While she claims to have released her medical records, I don’t think Kamala has been put on the couch for proper shrink analysis.  Nevertheless, basic pop psychology indicates that before visualizing the White House, she needs to engage in some mentalization.

I think the woman clearly needs therapy.  Mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, introspection, and questioning her thoughts may help fortify her mental health, perhaps even enable her to connect with reality.  But for now, the confused conjurer is more suited to the madhouse.

‘Absolute hell’ – German teacher describes sexism, bullying and racism in predominately migrant school

A Muslim student was suspended for assaulting a teacher who objected to another Arab student provocatively waving a Palestinian flag in the Berlin schoolyard. It was just one case of recorded violence against teaching staff in Berlin in 2023.

In a harrowing interview, a long-time teacher in a predominately migrant school describes a “hellish” experience that involved “knife violence, bullying, and sexism.” Her testimony is laying bare the lie that diversity is always a strength, and her experience may help explain Germany’s plummeting PISA test scores and worsening educational outcomes.

Birgit Ebel has taught for 15 years at a “problem school,” where she says everyday life was an “absolute hell,” in her interview with Focus Magazine,

Ebel, who has since moved to a new school district, warns: “The system is coming back to haunt us.”

Ebel does not beat around the bush and is not afraid to say that foreigners are the main cause of the chaos in the school she spent years in.

“At our comprehensive school, 80 to 90 percent of the students had a migrant background. Many come from predominantly Islamic countries such as Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Algeria, Bosnia, Chechnya, Afghanistan or Pakistan, but also from Russia and North Africa.” Ebel says among these students are also refugees who fled war and harsh Islamic rule.

She says the connection between immigration and Germany’s disintegrating school system cannot be denied, but says the view is controversial.

“In my view, the connection cannot be denied. But hardly anyone dares to say it openly,” she said.

The extreme violence she saw was “mainly the responsibility of migrant students, i.e., male adolescents,” she said. “It’s more about who can hit or kick the fastest. And then the others even celebrate you for it. Many do martial arts, and a toned body is the ultimate plus.”

She said stronger boys who can handle weapons like brass knuckles and knives are considered “masculine” and others look up to them. Ebel added that many of the students are armed with such weapons and that it is “normal.”

Despite claims that “diversity is a strength” from the left, this teacher, who actually works with true diversity, saw the other side of the equation.

“The conflict between Turks and Kurds or between Muslims and Yazidis is almost always present,” she warned.

She also noted that sexism is far different for both male and female teachers, with male teachers avoiding the worst of it, which is also a product of the culture many of the students come from.

“When students insult us or want to offend, they usually do so in sexualized, fecal language,” she warned.

She told Focus that she was routinely insulted with incredibly brutal language, including students saying: “You old whore’s daughter,” “I’ll fuck your head,” “whore,” “slut,” “cunt,” and threats like “I’ll give you AIDS,” while others told her, “Shut up, you Jewish whore!”

Ebel said many of her colleagues also experienced such abuse. Other students praised Hamas, which became especially intense after Ebel showed her support for Israel after the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas.

She said that students would also play the race card, accusing her of being “racist” if she gave bad grades. In fact, parents also accused her of the same thing.

“Almost always the students played the racism card. And parents also joined in,” she said. In other cases, students have threatened to punch her for “insulting Islam,” including a student from Albania who barely spoke German. In that instance, she filed a criminal complaint but the investigation was dropped.

Ebel says that allegations of racism are “absurd,” as she is a member of the Kurdish community in Germany. She also belongs to an organization, the Society of Threatened Peoples, and has campaigned for human and women’s rights in Germany, especially in regard to Islamist movements, which she sees as being against these rights.

Although her experience sounds dire, violence and harassment in German schools are no longer uncommon in Germany. Last year alone, security authorities nationwide counted around 27,500 violent crimes such as knife attacks and assaults in schools, an increase of 27 percent compared to 2022. In Berlin, there are an average of five police operations every school day. However, those are just cases of outright violence. In terms of daily harassment, the numbers are far higher.

Ebel also provided a video to Focus Magazine she obtained that took place in her former school, which showed the brutal beating of one boy by four others, all while he screamed for help that never came. In fact, the beating took place directly in front of a teacher, who is seen fleeing the room. Ebel said that such violence was commonplace.

“I have experienced a systematic increase in violent behavior among children and young people, especially in the lower and middle grades,” she said.

Ebel also said a brawl between 20 students in the school saw five teachers try to enter the fight to break it up, with one pregnant colleague being punched in the stomach.

In 2011, her school was even nominated for the German School Prize; however, Ebel said that while the school was on the “right track” then, the educational environment has swiftly plummeted.

She also notes that the demographics in the school have rapidly shifted since that time.

“More and more poor people, parents without jobs, lack of German language skills, and so on. We were then considered a school for foreigners. The number of registrations fell drastically,” she said.

Other schools are seeing similar levels of violence, including the case of 17-year-old Sinan Y., who stabbed his vocational school teacher Sabine K. to death after she reprimanded him for aggressive behavior. She died in the classroom in front of her students. Her attacker then committed suicide while in custody.

As Remix News has previously reported, there are a record number of violent attacks in the Berlin school system, with the police being called five times per day on average to different schools.
