Elon Musk’s company “Neuralink” has been making headlines with its so-called “human-machine interface”. Musk has been testing chips on monkeys as well as humans. The US Food and Drug Administration approved human trials in May 2023.

These chips allegedly convert brain signals into electrical impulses – and vice versa. Musk has recently nevertheless had to face a few setbacks.

Now “Neuralink” also has competition. An international team led by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (ETHL) has developed an alternative miniature brain-computer interface under the acronym MiBMI that can convert thoughts into text with great precision. According to the researchers, who presented their results in a specialist study, the tiny device could fundamentally change communication for people with severe paralysis. The chip, which is only about the size of a fingertip, can also be implanted in healthy people.

The MiBMI chip interprets brain signals generated during visualized writing and translates them into text on a screen in real time. It processes signals from up to 512 channels simultaneously, which should enable a fairly precise recording of brain activity. In tests with a person suffering from tetraplegia, the chip was able to correctly identify 90,8 percent of the visualized letters. It can also distinguish between 31 different symbols, including commands such as “space” and “backspace”.

The study authors point to the extraordinary efficiency of the MiBMI, which uses an innovative method called “distinctive neural codes” (DNCs) that achieves high accuracy with minimal power consumption. In addition, the chip only activates when there is relevant neural activity, which saves energy and improves signal quality. The current writing speed is 90 characters per minute – a significant improvement over existing aids.

The MiBMI technology could soon enable fully implantable brain-computer interfaces that do not require external devices and allow wireless communication with other devices. Sadly, nothing is yet known about its long-term safety and stability and neither about the adaptation to individual differences in brain signals.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was ranked Canada’s worst leader since the 1960s in a new study.

An investigation conducted by Research Co. and released September 4 shows that 38 percent of Canadians overall said they disliked Trudeau the most compared with a list of other prime ministers.

A distant second as the most disliked was Stephen Harper, who was the former head of the Conservative Party, at 14 percent. Trudeau’s dad, Pierre, came in third at 7 percent.

Trudeau has been prime minister since 2015.

In western Canada, dislike for Trudeau was the strongest, with 55 percent of Albertans and 52 percent each in Saskatchewan and Manitoba saying they are not fond of him.

Research Co. has been tracking the popularity of current and former prime ministers for the past five years. Trudeau’s unpopularity has risen dramatically since 2022, nearly doubling since that year.

The poll was taken from feedback of 1,002 Canadians from August 19 to 21.

When it comes to who Canadians think was the best prime minister historically, Trudeau’s dad was listed as the most popular at 18 percent, followed by Harper at 16 percent.

Dislike for Trudeau and his Liberal government’s continued push of a pro-abortion and LGBT-charged agenda can also be reflected in recent polls regarding who Canadians would vote for in the next federal election.

Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre is on track to win the next federal election in a landslide. Indeed, recent polls show that the Conservatives under Poilievre would win a majority government in a landslide were an election held today. Jagmeet Singh’s National Democratic Party (NDP) and Trudeau’s Liberals would lose a massive number of seats.

Also, the likelihood of a federal election happening before next year just increased. On Wednesday, Singh announced he was pulling his official support for Trudeau’s Liberals, meaning there is now a possibility a fall election could be held should a non-confidence vote pass in the House of Commons.

As reported by LifeSiteNews, the Liberals were hoping to delay the 2025 federal election by a few days in what many see as a stunt to secure pensions for MPs who are projected to lose their seats. Approximately 80 MPs would qualify for pensions should they sit as MPs until at least October 27, 2025, which is the newly proposed election date. The election date as it stands now is set for October 20, 2025.

A trans-identified male is claiming that his human rights were violated after he was told he was not allowed to compete in a women’s cycling race and must enter in the male category.

Patti Flynn, formerly known as Patrick, is a Senior Consultant and Facilitator at the Equality Institute in Chicago, Illinois, which describes itself as a “boutique DEI firm.” The Institute states that its mission is to “help organizations fulfill the promise of diversity by embedding equity and inclusion into organizational systems and culture, enhancing outcomes for everyone.”

In addition to his work at the Equality Institute, he is also a personal trainer and the general manager at Edge Athletic Lounge, a gym in Chicago which models itself on its “inclusivity.” A staff member at Edge informed Reduxx that members are permitted to use whatever facilities align with their self-declared gender identity on a no-questions asked basis.

Flynn is involved in a sporting project which seeks to eliminate single-sex sports, describing itself as “fostering equitable and inclusive endurance events.” In a June 20 post to Instagram, he declared that sports competition categories should be “clearly defined” but also “allow participants to compete in identity-based categories.” Endurance races, he posted, should have “separate starts for women and non-binary individuals for a respectful racing environment.”

But most recently, Flynn is on a war path against CAMBr, the Chicago Area Mountain Bike Races, after being denied participation in the female category at two of their competitions in August. In an Instagram post, Flynn announced he was pursuing legal action against CAMBr as a result.

“I’m looking at the paperwork for filing a human rights complaint with the state and county for their failure to act to square up their rules in accordance with the anti-discrimination provisions of both Cook County and the state of Illinois. I wouldn’t turn down any legal help on filling out these forms,” he wrote.

The Instagram post was first brought to public attention by @i_heart__bikes, an anonymous female cyclist on X who advocates for single-sex sport and whistleblows on male participation in women’s cycling.

According to the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois Human Rights Act does include “gender-related identity” as a protected characteristic in the context of “employment, housing, financial credit, and public accommodations.” 

In the post, Flynn claimed he had previously competed in the women’s category of another Illinois competition, the Wausau 24 bicycle race, and says a fellow cyclist told him that CAMBr followed the same rules implemented by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) for transgender athletes. Flynn goes on to say that the UCI rule is an “incredibly harsh and strict international elite and professional (UCI) rule for trans athletes that makes it impossible for me to compete.” 

The UCI currently prohibits males from competing in female categories unless they meet five criteria: a signed medical declaration of their “female” gender identity; to have not gone through male puberty beyond age 12 or Tanner Stage 2; to have maintained—and continue to maintain—a serum testosterone level below 2.5 nmol/L since puberty; and to have all testosterone measurements performed via liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry tests.

CAMBr’s rulebook reveals that the organization follows a July 2023 UCI ruling, and that they do not allow trans-identified males who transitioned after puberty to compete against females. Biological males, regardless of their self-identification, must compete in the men’s category.

Flynn said that he approached CAMBr and asked them to change the rules for him, but was allegedly told that the organization would not change their “draconian” policy until 2025. 

“They had 3 total women in the category I would race in at their first race. Clearly not interested in building women’s cycling, but to have a race for the boys to compete against each other… So meanwhile I may just go out and ride with friends instead. And I hope if you are riding Meltdown this weekend that you let the race organizers know that you support trans mountain bikers and show solidarity outwardly with signs or trans flag colors on you or your bike. This world seems to be getting more stupid and that’s super annoying,” posted Flynn.

Flynn is not the only trans-identified male targeting CAMBr for its sex-segregated categories. Earlier this month, Reddit user u/wordsthatendini” called attention to an online petition demanding CAMBr allow males to compete with women on the basis of their gender identity. 

“Removing or amending this rule will drastically improve the cycling community by fostering a welcoming environment for all athletes. We believe delaying a potential change to 2025 does undue damage to the cycling community, and prevents participation in the here and now. CAMBr exists beyond race day, and being welcoming to all will help foster participation at future events, trail work, and advocacy,” the petition stated.

“Implementing this change immediately is easy, as these CAMBr events are not under the UCI or USAC sanctioned umbrella. It does not even bring CAMBr events in conflict with the USAC ruling. CAMBr simply needs to state that Transgender Women can compete as Women.”

The petition has since been closed, and replaced with a message that reads: “We are closing this form now so that we can allow CAMBr time to form a response. Remember, trans women are women!”

Reduxx reached out to CAMBr to request comment on Flynn’s threats of legal action, but the race organizer did not respond in time for publication.

In a lengthy post on X, one of the best-known fighters in mixed martial arts (MMA) has again strongly suggested he may run for the Irish presidency.

Taking to the social media platform previously called Twitter, McGregor set out his goal, if elected, of using the powers of the Uachtarán na hÉireann to summon and dissolve the Dáil Éireann (the lower chamber of parliament).

As President I hold the power to summon the Dáil as well as dissolve it. So as i said before, I would have all the answers the people of Ireland seek from these thieves of the working man, these disrupters of the family unit, these destructors of small businesses, and on and on…

While Ireland’s head of state has fewer powers than many executive presidents, the position is more than a ceremonial one—including leading the armed forces and, according to the English language version of the constitution, exercising the same power to dissolve the Dáil that McGregor promises to use if elected.

On the surface, McGregor would make an unlikely president. His MMA record involves winning 22 of his 28 professional fights, with 19 by knockout. While he lost his single fight as a professional boxer, it proved to be big at the box office. To date, McGregor’s profitable thespian antics look like a one-off.

Then there are his frequent legal and ongoing troubles, which involve allegations of sexual misconduct and unlicenced violence, trying the patience of the MMA’s ruling body, which is nevertheless reluctant to lose one of its biggest stars. Questions about his personal character—as distinct from him being a big ‘character’ in the sport—may well alienate some conservative Irish voters. Perhaps his sporting observation will also apply to a future career in politics: “There is no opponent… You’re against yourself.”

Nevertheless, these are extraordinary times. McGregor is tapping into growing public anger with an out-of-touch Dublin elite. His tweet called the Teachtaí Dála (TDs), the members of the principal chamber, of the Irish legislature

TDs seem aloof from the two specific yet linked controversies that overshadow Irish politics. Crime and migration have driven recent protests and riots, with the official response being a growing emphasis on policing ‘hate’ on social media. As can be seen across Europe, the political class would rather spray around allegations of racism than grasp the nettle of the social problems facing citizens.

McGregor, in contrast, has used his large following on social media to castigate the new wave of violent crime, unrelated to the political violence of 20th century Ireland. He first positioned himself as a foe of this deteriorating situation on November 23rd last year, when he condemned the stabbing of a woman and three children in Dublin, declaring that “Ireland is at war.” He wrote, in a since-deleted tweet:

I do not condone last nights riots. I do not condone any attacks on our first responders in their line of duty. I do not condone looting and the damaging of shops. Last nights scenes achieved nothing toward fixing the issues we face. I do understand frustrations however, and I do understand a move must be made to ensure the change we need is ushered in. And fast! I am in the process of arranging. Believe me I am way more tactical and I have backing. There will be change in Ireland, mark my words. The change needed. In the last month, innocent children stabbed leaving school. Ashling Murphy murdered. Two Sligo men decapitated. This is NOT Ireland’s future! If they do not act soon with their plan of action to ensure Ireland’s safety, I will.

Within a month, there was growing speculation about McGregor commencing a campaign for the presidency. Opinion polling at the time identified around just 8% of the electorate as his potential voters. Subsequent events have intensified the issue of mass migration in Ireland, making renewed indications that the man known as ‘the Notorious’ will run for President even more of a headache for the Irish establishment.

It is the absolute worst in a whole series of cases since the beginning of the year: younger and younger people are apparently becoming more responsive to Islamist propaganda, as the Swiss security authorities have emphasised on several occasions.

The juvenile court in Sion has now confirmed research by Swiss public broadcasters SRF and RTS, according to which the police intervened with an 11-year-old boy at the beginning of June. The boy was questioned by the cantonal police in connection with the publication of ‘racist and discriminatory content on social media’, according to the juvenile court.

The 11-year-old admitted that he had been in contact with people abroad who were presumably close to extremist movements. The juvenile court did not specify which movements were meant. However, according to information from RTS and SRF, the authorities assume a clear Islamist-jihadist context.

In the cases of Islamist radicalised youths that have been made public in Switzerland since January 2024, the youngest person was 14 years old.

The Valais authorities have opened proceedings under juvenile criminal law against the 11-year-old, whose citizenship they have not disclosed. The presumption of innocence applies. The teenager is at large and socio-educational measures have apparently been initiated. The extent to which the young person has been radicalised appears to be an open question for the Valais authorities. This is not yet apparent. According to the juvenile court, further investigations are underway.

It is possible that the 11-year-old very quickly came into contact with radical Islamist content on social media, which is how the links to extremists abroad were established and the youngster then spread this content. Recently, experts have repeatedly heard of such cases.

Conspicuous behaviour with extremist content, such as swastika graffiti in school buildings or Islamist slogans on the playground, occur time and again, according to experts. There are dozens of cases involving young people – mostly aged 14 and older – which are then often investigated. In the Valais case, too, the question arises as to why the boy made these posts and whether there is a risk that he could commit acts of violence. This may require forensic expertises.

It seems clear that the authorities became aware of the 11-year-old boy’s posts and decided to intervene. This is probably also against the background of a recent increase in the threat of terrorism, which, according to the authorities, is characterised by jihadist propaganda, such as that of an ‘Islamic State’ (IS).

The fact that very young people are also responding to this propaganda, disseminating the content, in some cases planning attacks or even taking action, has already been shown several times across Europe.

What began under the guise of sensitivity, tolerance and inclusivity ended up in exactly the kind of totalitarian and authoritarian bureaucratic regimes that the Left used to rebel against and make fun of before it took power.

The first rule of every authoritarian system is a warning not to mock the system. That’s the Left now.

Consider this Title IX letter from Mount Holyoke College.

MHC, a female college, insisted that the “regular and consistent practice of using intentional pronouns aligns with the College’s commitment to non-discrimination as a women’s college that is gender diverse.”

Lest anyone mock the idea of a “women’s college that is gender diverse” or any other part of its pronoun policy, the letter warns that mocking the policy is a violation of the policy.

“On August 1, Title IX regulations expanded to include misgendering, deadnaming and mispronouning as prohibited acts and thus expanded the set of prohibited activites of concern to mandated reporters.”

Then it provided a set of Stasi guidelines to faculty “for faculty observations of misgendering in their classrooms” ordering faculty to “report when misgendering occurs in the following ways”.

That includes “when there is open mocking of our Pronoun Policy”.

Urgently report all mocking of the pronoun policy to the pronoun policymakers who will make sure the student will be unemployed for life… for social justice.

The one thing you can’t have in a gender-diverse women’s college are women mocking gender-diverse pronoun policies. Perhaps MHC will have a ducking stool for them. Or just force them to share a room with a gender-diverse transgender man.

Some would say this violates the free speech of its female students, but MHC is committed to its “gender diverse community of students” and urges professors to turn in all students who have a sense of humor.

There’s gender diversity at the women’s college, but no diversity of thought is allowed.

And a sense of humor will get you 3 – 5 years of gender diverse remedial womens’ studies.

A man was arrested on Friday afternoon, September 6, for vandalising the Sacré-Cœur church in Nice. He had broken several statues and threatened a woman with a knife.

The Sacré-Cœur church in the Rue de France in Nice is in a state of shock. Several statues were vandalised by a person shortly before 3pm on Friday September 6. The threatening-looking man had a knife in his possession (…).

One of the surveillance cameras shows the suspect entering the church at around 2.40 pm. He is carrying a rucksack and wearing shorts, which suggests that he is a tourist.

‘A man came in, he was large. He threw his knife towards a woman and she tried to dodge the knife. He was furious and started vandalising the statues. Then he went down into the crypt and people were praying. Then, as he was leaving, he broke another picture of the Virgin Mary,’ reported Father Jean-Baptiste in an interview with Valérie Much, a journalist from France 3 Côte d’Azur. (…)

The Welsh Government is conducting an internal review after it was discovered they had awarded a research contract related to sexuality and gender to a firm whose director had been jailed after admitting three charges of sexual activity with a child.

The director, James Mullen, had previously served eight months in prison after he was caught “writhing” on a girl at the Catholic boarding school where he worked as a history teacher. The incident occurred in 2013, just after a parent-teacher event on campus.

According to a Daily Mail article from the year the incident occurred, Mullen had groomed the girl over the course of his six months of employment, with text message exchanges being uncovered wherein Mullen acknowledged the relationship he had with the girl was immoral.

During a court hearing, it was also learned that Mullen had been sent to complete a child protection course when he was hired at the school which he passed with a 100% score.

Mullen ultimately pleaded guilty to three charges of sexual activity with a child while in a position of trust. He was then banned from teaching for life and was subjected to a 10-year sex offender registration following the completion of his prison sentence.

After being released, Mullen returned to school and was awarded a PhD in Ancient History from Newcastle University. According to his LinkedIn, during the course of his studies, Mullen “contributed to the Westminster All Party Parliamentary Groups reviewing safeguarding policy.”

In 2022, the same year he received his degree, Mullen set up a company called “Laurel Research Consulting,” later bidding for a contract with the Welsh Government to research conversion therapy on the basis of gender and sexuality.

According to Nation Cymru, the Government’s contract read that it was seeking to “understand more about the experiences of conversion practices in Wales. The term ‘conversion practices’ refers to any efforts to change, modify or suppress a person’s sexual orientation, gender, expression of sexual orientation and/or expression of gender, regardless of whether it takes place in a healthcare, religious or other setting. The research will understand who experiences conversion practices, the forms these practices take, by whom they are conducted, and the reasons why they are carried out; identify settings where conversion practices occur; provide insight into the impact of conversion practices; understand the support available; and provide evidence-informed actions, recommendations, and best practice.”

In 2023, Mullen’s company was awarded the contract, despite having no relevant experience or expertise in the field of gender or sexuality. At the time, Mullen would have still been registered as a sex offender.

The government is now reviewing how it came to award Mullen’s company the research contract, and whether any vetting had been conducted prior to the decision being made.

This controversy is the latest in a series of recent incidents involving pedophiles being linked to LGBT causes in the United Kingdom.

As previously reported by Reduxx, the founder of the largest Pride organization in Surrey was arrested last month and charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse against children. Stephen Ireland, 40, was was taken into custody with one of the volunteers from his organization, David Sutton, 26.

According to Surrey Police, Ireland and Sutton, both of whom worked with local pride organization Pride in Surrey, were jointly been charged with 15 offenses, including:

• Six counts of conspiracy to sexually assault a child;
• One count of conspiracy to kidnap a child;
• Four counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence;
• One count of conspiracy to administer a substance with intent;
• One count of publishing an obscene article;
• One count of voyeurism;
• One count of perverting the course of justice.

Ireland was further charged with an additional 22 offenses of a serious nature, including the rape of a child, the sexual assault of a child, six counts of making indecent photographs of children, two count of possessing prohibited images of children, and more. 

In all cases, the victim is said to be under the age of 13.

But just weeks following the announcement about Ireland and Sutton, another charity was rocked by scandal after it was learned that one of their contributors had been convicted for distributing videos of babies being raped.
