A man armed with a knife and threatening police officers was arrested on Friday morning in Ormesson-sur-Marne (Val-de-Marne) near the Pince-Vent shopping centre. He shouted “Allah Akbar” several times during his arrest and was taken into police custody, Actu17 learnt.
The police were alerted at around 10.30am by security guards at the shopping centre, which is located in the neighbouring municipality of Chennevières-sur-Marne on the border with Ormesson-sur-Marne. The suspect, armed with a knife, threatened the security guards, who eventually managed to force him out without allowing him to enter the shopping centre. (…)
“He said there were other people with knives in the shopping centre,” said a source familiar with the case. “Investigations and checks were carried out, but they did not lead to any results”.
The man’s motives would have to be determined. An investigation has been launched. Actu17
This is a one hour video leading up to today/tonight in terms of the events of Southport and the protests in London where the protestors are criminalized and demonized and not so much the events that brought them there.
“I don’t believe the media anymore, I believe what I believe and I’m gonna say what I want”. That quote from the video did my heart good.
And there you have it. When they look back on this. There it is.
The riots in England over the mass stabbing attack on a children’s dance party continued on Friday evening in Sunderland, where hundreds engaged in violent actions that saw a building set on fire and three police officers injured.
Northumbria Police said that that it faced “serious and sustained levels of violence” on Friday evening, which it described as “utterly deplorable”. The force said that eight people have been arrested so far on charges ranging from burglary to violent disorder.
A total of three police officers were injured during the riot, two of whom remain in hospital for further treatment at the time of this reporting.
It is the latest in a string of riots in England following the mass stabbing at a children’s ‘Taylor Swift’ dance party in Southport, Merseyside on Monday. The attack, allegedly committed by a Rwandan-heritage teenager, left three young girls dead and eight others injured.
Like the riots seen in Southport earlier this week, rioters threw bricks and clashed with police outside a mosque, the Guardianreports.
In a statement, Chief Superintendent Helena Barron of Northumbria Police said: “The shocking scenes we have witnessed in Sunderland this evening are completely unacceptable.
“I want to make it absolutely clear that the disorder, violence and damage that which has occurred will not be tolerated.”
The riots in Sunderland again drew swift condemnation from the political class in Westminster. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said: “The police have the full backing of Government to take the strongest possible action & ensure they face the full force of the law.
“They do not represent Britain,” Cooper added.
Former Home Secretary and current Tory leadership candidate Priti Patel also took a hardline, arguing that the new Labour government and her successor at the Home Office are not doing enough to quell the violent uprising.
“The events we have witnessed overnight in Sunderland were totally unacceptable. As they were in Southport earlier this week and in Harehills in Leeds a fortnight ago,” she said.
“We should never excuse, or be apologists for, disorder whoever is responsible. Violence and thuggery is always unacceptable. There is no qualification or exception. And politicians on all sides must be willing to stand up and say so.”
“Saying the nation is ‘braced for disorder’ is not only breathtakingly complacent, but both troubling and inadequate. The Government is now in danger of appearing to be swept away with events rather than maintaining control of them.”
However, the government’s response to the unrest over the mass stabbing of children, including the establishment of a brand new riot police command and the use of facial recognition to track those in attendance of riots.
New Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, vowed to bring down the “full force of the law” against those involved, to confront “far-right hatred,” and to protect the local Muslim community from backlash after a mosque had its windows broken.
Starmer has been accused of further inflaming tensions, and further protests are scheduled over the weekend in England, mostly in Labour Party strongholds, including in Bristol, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, and Nottingham.
On Friday, 2nd August, 3 Muslim children were suspended from Springwell School in Hounslow, West London, after they tried to forcefully convert one of their Hindu classmates to Islam. The Muslim students brainwashed the Hindu child into agreeing to alter his name to Mohammed and remove his kalava (sacred thread tied to the wrist) with scissors. The Muslim boys additionally advised the Hindu boy that eating meat would make him stronger and halal meat is stronger. This is even though they knew he was a vegetarian.
The incident came to the fore only after the parents of the Hindu child noticed changes in his behaviour after he returned from school one day. They learnt that their son’s Muslim classmates were motivating him to convert to Islam. They even threatened to stop talking to him if he did not change his religion.
The parents then talked to the class teacher who allegedly tried to pacify the matter saying that it must be the part of kids’ exploration. The parents continued to question the Muslim students’ activities. “I love any religion. It’s not the problem. But what I am worried about is those kids who have been taught like this by their parents or someone,” the parents said expressing concern about why were the Muslims trying to convert their son.
But the situation escalated after the minor boy told his mother that he wants to change his name to Muhammad. “I was at work and in the afternoon I got a phone call from my son’s mummy and she said to me that our son wants to change his name to Muhammad. I am like where is this coming from and I was really shocked actually to hear that. We never talk about any other religion at home, not even our own religion. We just keep it to us adults, especially with kids,” the father of the boy said.
The family then approached the school administration and informed them about the incident. The school took cognizance of the incident and learned that the Muslim students had threatened the Hindu boy of cutting the friendship ties if he failed to change his religion. The school eventually ended up suspending the students.
“In this day and age, we all have freedom of expression but then you know people they use the kids, I mean, if that is the case in this in scenario then it’s really sad,” the Indian father added.
The parent revealed Ealing Nub News email correspondence between himself and Springwell’s Headteacher, Mrs Kamaljeet Grewal, who acknowledged the problem. She informed the parent that the school is actively working to build a safe and inclusive environment, with procedures in place to avoid grooming, indoctrination, and pressure based on religious or ideological beliefs.
The family also informed other families and neighbours about the incident, worried that it might be happening to other students and in other schools too.
As the debate over transgender-identifying male athletes competing in female sporting events grows, many commentators have been asking: Does somebody have to get killed or badly hurt before the officials making these decisions wake up and prioritize female safety over transgender ideology?
The short answer? Probably. We’ve already seen women get severely injured by male opponents, most famously when gender-confused MMA fighter “Fallon Fox” (Boyd Burton) cracked the skull of his female opponent, Tamika Brents. Despite that, males are still allowed to compete against females in many leagues, events, and competitions. Reporting on Brent’s broken skull faithfully referred to Burton as a “woman.”
I’m morally opposed to our modern forms of gladiatorial combat generally and female combat sports specifically, but it isn’t just those sporting events that are seeing women get badly injured. In September 2022, 17-year-old Payton McNabb was smashed in the face by a volleyball when a “transgender” male opponent struck the ball with such force that she was thrown to the ground, unconscious. The ball was travelling 70 mph.
As the Daily Mail reported recently, the “5ft 11in trans player cackled in delight, Ms McNabb said, after sending her to the floor. As did other players in the opposite team.” The male was much taller than the other players; Payton was out cold for 30 seconds “with her arms locked upright in a ‘fencing’ position.” She was initially diagnosed with a concussion, traumatic brain injury, partial paralysis on her right side, vision problems, and whiplash. Now 19, she still deals with these problems.
Payton’s dreams of athletics and a volleyball scholarship were over; she is now a communications student at Western Carolina University, but she “continues to struggle to move the right side of her body, leading her to regularly lose her balance and suffer from falls.” Additionally, she still suffers from the brain trauma, requiring hours of tutoring each month as well as more time taking tests as a result. Her vision struggles as well as anxiety and depression have accompanied her ongoing struggle for recovery.
This tragic outcome was predictable. As the Daily Mail noted, a “major review carried out last year found that early exposure to testosterone” in transgender-identifying males “mean they possess at least eight physical and mental attributes that could give them an advantage in sports,” including “greater muscle mass and bone density,” bigger lungs, higher oxygen levels in the blood, and better spatial awareness. This remains true even years after “transition.” Sex Matters recently posted a chart detailing all of the many differences and advantages between male and female athletes.
“There is a biological difference between the two, there is a difference in sports because of this in the first place,” Payton said. “It’s dangerous to have the two [sexes] competing together, and just not ok. I am disgusted by this, personally. This is morally wrong and evil.” Since her injuries and partial paralysis, she has become an activist with the Independent Women’s Forum, and her testimony at the North Carolina legislature in 2023 was considered “instrumental” in passing a bill banning males from female sports.
The good news is that the advocacy of female athletes like Riley Gaines and Payton McNabb is effective; many jurisdictions have been passing laws protecting female privacy as well as fairness in women’s sports. The bad news is that in the process, female athletes have been forced to undress in locker rooms with males; they have lost opportunities they worked towards for years to males; they have sustained life-altering injuries. The very women written off by the transgender movement as collateral damage have become that movement’s worst nightmare.
In a new surveillance video released by Catalonian police, a Black male thief can be seen brazenly ripping a necklace off a disabled man riding in a motorized wheelchair and the proceeding to attack him. The aggressive robbery on the vulnerable man was far from the first, with Spanish police saying the two perpetrators arrested are known for targeting and robbing victims with disabilities.
The official police account of Catalonia also released a video narrating the attack, which has been seen nearly 800,000 times.
The X account stated: “They attacked a 68-year-old man in a wheelchair to steal a gold chain from him, in Cornellà de Llobregat. We arrested two men, one of whom had 26 criminal records for the same type of crime.”
The two men arrested in the incident were aged 20 and 26, with the attack occurring on July 29 in the morning. During the incident, the man resisted the thieves’ efforts, resulting in injuries to the victim, according to police.
Police checked security cameras in the area and were able to identify the perpetrators. The thieves were arrested at a later date. The two thieves are now appearing in a court in Cornellà, according to French news outlet L’independent.
Of the 26 arrests involving the one suspect, more than one involved targeting a disabled victim and robbing him or her.
Olympic athletes are facing a ban on Christian symbols at the Olympics despite the opening ceremony featuring an obvious parody of a Christian symbol, Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper.
On Wednesday, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) forced the Brazilian surfer João Chianca to remove an image of Christ the Redeemer from his surfboard.
“The painting is not authorized in the Olympic Games because Christ is a religious figure,” the athlete posted on social media, though the post was removed shortly afterward. “The Games have strict rules and focus on total neutrality.”
Article 50 of the Olympic Charter states that “no type of political, religious or racial demonstration or propaganda is permitted in any Olympic venue.”
Although the surfer did not keep the post up for long, it elicited indignant responses from his many followers in a short time.
Another Brazilian athlete, Rayssa Leal, used sign language to quote a Bible verse and avoid being called out for breaking Article 50 when she won bronze in the ladies street skateboarding event last Sunday. She made history in the 2021 games in Tokyo when she became the youngest Olympic medalist at age 13. She took bronze in the same event at this year’s games.
Shortly before her performance she turned to the television cameras and said, in sign language, a verse from the Gospel of Saint John: “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.”
No one knew what to make of her hand movements at first, until someone published on social media a translation and the post went viral.
“When I was very young, I dreamed of becoming an athlete skateboarder,” Leal told reporters on Sunday after taking bronze. “And here I am, with a second Olympic medal from the Games. Once again, thank God I won a medal. I am very happy to be here.”
What we saw a week ago at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympiad did not just come out of the blue. The meticulous cancellation of the Western culture that the French organisers presented to the world is the result of many decades of cultural preparation.
Wokeness did not just appear out of thin air. Rather it is the outcome of cultural Marxism, which sprang from Europe and took over the United States through the so-called Frankfurt School, before returning to the Old Continent via France.
Leftist intellectuals, who fled from wartime Europe to the United States and nested in Ivy League universities, began their campaign of undermining and dismantling Western values in the first post-war decades.
And while the United States have been at the forefront of this global movement, its European hub has undoubtedly been France. In fact, after the first generation of mostly German-born intellectuals laid the foundations, it was French thinkers who picked up and cemented the campaign of Western deconstruction.
Theorists like Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, Herbert Marcuse, Walter Benjamin and Jürgen Habermas passed the baton to thinkers like Jacques Derrida, Michel Foucault, Jean-François Lyotard, Jean Baudrillard, Gilles Deleuze, Roland Barthes, or Félix Guattari.
The word is postmodernism and it succeeds the so-called critical theory. Also known as post-structuralism, it has created a cultural environment where anything goes, nothing stands, no authority is to be respected anymore.
Its repercussions are actually to be found everywhere. Linguists will say that language is but an arbitrary field, where nothing can be safely signified. Philosophers will claim that formal logic does not hold water anymore. Architects and artists will challenge traditional norms and notions of beauty and harmony only to replace them with brutality and shock value.
Classical ethics and aesthetics are therefore revisited in order to be cancelled. This is the prevalent ideology of a world where there is no good and bad, no right and wrong, male or female, no genders or nations and of course, no Christian God. What Friedrich Nietzsche first suggested in the context of farce and folly has now become the norm.
Present day multiculturalism, demographic, substitution, erosion of the nuclear family, LGBTQ cult frenzy and the woke movement as a whole would not have been possible without the post-structural movement. And the post-structural movement would not have been possible without the French.
Under this light, let us now take another look at last week’s Paris Olympics opening ceremony. We shall understand that the monstrosity unveiled before our eyes was no circumstantial phenomenon. The French did not just manifest, but also celebrated and showed off what they have been doing to us all for about half a century.
So do we just say c’est la vie and move on? For the time being it looks like the French way has taken over on a global systemic level. But in order to battle this overall degeneration, we first need to properly understand what it is, and where it comes from.
Interestingly enough conservatism as a movement has been founded exactly on the opposition of Edmund Burke to the French revolution. In his 1790 pamphlet Reflections on the Revolution in France, the Irish-born British intellectual foresaw and predicted the bloodbath and consequent European war that would come out of the violent toppling of the French monarchy.
Almost two and a half centuries later, it is conservatism once again that offers a realistic perspective of what is happening in today’s world, and presents the only set of values and principles which give an alternative to the destruction of our world. The Marathon of our generation has begun.
In a speech to the European Parliament on July 18, 2024, the President of the European Commission, Germany’s Ursula von der Leyen, an outspoken environmentalist, set out her program for its next five years. Here are some of the salient aspects of her proposal, strictly in line with her previous term of office.
The objective of reducing greenhouse gas emissions — 90% reduction by 2040, 100% by 2050 – is maintained. By definition, this reduction structures and determines the whole of the Commission’s program, because all human activity — industrial, commercial and private — emits greenhouse gases. In fact, in a program document published by the Commission in February 2024, already under the aegis of von der Leyen, are plans to invest 1.5 trillion euros per year in decarbonizing the European Union, and to this end take authoritarian measures in all areas of human activity. The amount is equivalent to 10% of Europe’s GDP — every year. Apparently this policy is the uncompromising model found in every party in Germany, but apart from a war effort, there is no objective of any kind that has ever required the diversion of 10% of a continent’s GDP by political decree.
European funds, which are distributed to EU member states in various ways, will henceforth be “conditional on respect for the rule of law”. By the rule of law, the EU means a very specific and at the same time vague notion, enabling it to disqualify regimes and personalities with which it disagrees, principally but not exclusively, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in Hungary. In other words, any deviation from the EU’s ideological line, in any area, will be subject to financial sanctions – as is already happening with Hungary. This new direction for the EU will lead to the ideology of Western Europe being imposed on Eastern Europe: “open borders”, environmentalism, the fight against “hate” — but only “hate” from the right of the political spectrum. For example, far-left MEP Rima Hassan frequently issues direct threats against colleagues who don’t share her hatred of Israel, without any consequences. The countries of Eastern Europe are the main beneficiaries of EU funds. It remains to be seen whether Eastern Europe will be taken in.
“We will start by focusing on the implementation and enforcement of the digital laws adopted during the last mandate. Tech giants must assume responsibility for their enormous systemic power in our society and economy. We have begun the active enforcement of the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act. We will ramp up and intensify our enforcement in the coming mandate”, explains von der Leyen. In particular, the aim is apparently to penalize social media networks that refuse to censor their users or, more precisely, that refuse to penalize their users in the way the EU wants. The first to be targeted is X, formerly known as Twitter, as Commissioner Thierry Breton has made no secret: either X submits to the EU’s ideology and censorship, or X will have a part of its global revenue confiscated.
As has been stated for the last 80 years, a plan has been announced to construct a genuine “Europe of defence”. Again and again, the suggestion is set forth to build a European army, essentially supported by states such as Germany and Belgium, which devote a royal 1% of GDP to their military defenses and which would already be incapable of defending their own borders without American assistance.
Von der Leyen also announced the tripling of the FRONTEX border guards to 30,000 staffers. The problem is that, under EU law and the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), these border guards, whatever their numbers, are essentially providing a free ferry service between Africa and Europe. Indeed, in accordance with the ECHR’s case law, any illegal immigrants intercepted in the Mediterranean, even within sight of the African coast, must be brought to the European Union to exercise their “rights.” A tenfold increase in the number of border guards would do nothing to change the law in force; as long as the law is not reformed, unlimited and unvetted migration in Europe will continue. As von der Leyen points out: “We will always respect human rights and will ensure that those who have a right to stay can do so, and can receive essential support to integrate into communities.”
Finally, a whole series of new regulations with global ambitions are announced, confirming the EU’s claim to legislate not just for Europe, but for the world. For instance, a “European Oceans Pact” — note the “s” in Oceans – is declared: evidently the EU claims to regulate all the world’s oceans, whereas it only dips its toes in one.
Calculated in terms of purchasing power parity – meaning disregarding the strength of the dollar — the average GDP per capita in the EU as of 2022 is 72% of the average GDP per American. Given that economic growth is higher every year in the United States than in the EU, this gap will only widen. This backwardness is confirmed by the innovation vitality of the American economy. In just one example, compare artificial intelligence, essentially an American innovation, to the lack of creativity in the European economy. NVIDIA’s success is unthinkable in Europe.
Three factors might help to explain Europe’s economic backwardness compared to the United States: the cost of energy, which is five to ten times higher in Europe than in the US; the greater difficulty in Europe of concentrating private capital to invest in R&D and finally, the pull of the “mad legislator“, which is even worse in Europe than in the US. For example, Apple recently settled an EU investigation regarding its restriction on third-party developers accessing its payment technology, which could have led to a fine of 10% of its annual revenue for non-compliance. Apple’s total net sales in 2023 were $383.3 billion, so a 10% fine would amount to $38.3 billion. Given Apple’s operating income in Europe is $36.1 billion, non-compliance with EU regulations could result in fines exceeding its regional earnings.
How is it, when all these facts are known, that von der Leyen was reappointed to her post, while the Greens lost the European Parliament elections, and the right-wing parties of all persuasions won them by a wide margin? Perhaps this seeming paradox can be explained by the fact that the center-right, the largest party bloc in the European Parliament, is ideologically subservient to the left, on two levels: 1) by adhering to most of the dogmas of the left, starting with environmentalism, and 2) by refusing on principle any coalition with real right-wing parties such as Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy or, in France, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN).
This ensures that, while losing elections, the left can stay in power. The new von der Leyen majority consists of four parliamentary groups: the center-right, the socialists, the left-wing liberals and the far-left environmentalists. Of these groups, the center-right is by far the largest. It would therefore be logical for them to dominate von der Leyen’s program. But that is not what takes place. It is the demands of the smallest group — environmentalists — that dominate: continuation of the Green Deal, total decarbonization by 2050.
European power is a mirror image of its two driving forces — France and Germany — where the center-right parties behave in the same way: ideological submission to the left and a ban on the right governing. In Germany, the right-wing political party Alternative for Germany (AfD), finds itself in a position to govern several regions with the center-right. But everywhere in Germany, the center-right prefers to ally with the left, the environmentalists, sometimes even the communists, than to govern with the AfD. In France, Le Pen’s RN clearly won the European elections, then the first round of legislative elections. The center-right immediately announced that it preferred a victory for the far left and the communists to a victory for Le Pen.
The post-war European citizen has never voted so far to the right. He is harvesting a program that has never been so extremely left-wing. The von der Leyen program owes more to the Greens (53 MEPs) than to the center-right (188 MEPs). By refusing on principle ever to govern with real right-wing parties, the center-right guarantees that the left remains forever in power. When voting no longer serves any purpose, democracy dies.

Turkiye has blocked access to the social media platform Instagram, according to its national communications authority, as per a report in the Al Jazeera. The decision comes after a top government official slammed Instagram for “censoring” Hamas-related content.
In a post on its website, the communications authority said that “instagram.com has been blocked by a decision on the date of 02/08/2024”, without stating a reason.
On Wednesday, the country’s Communications Director, Fahrettin Altun, accused the social media platform of blocking condolence posts on the death of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Al Jazeera reported. Altun accused Israel of trying to plunge the region into further turmoil through killings and secret operations.
In a post on X, Altun stated, “I also strongly condemn the social media platform Instagram, which prevents people from posting condolences on Haniye’s martyrdom without giving any reason. This is a very clear and obvious attempt at censorship.”
“We will continue to defend freedom of expression against these platforms, which have repeatedly shown that they serve the global system of exploitation and injustice. We will stand by our Palestinian brothers at every opportunity and on every platform. Palestine will be free sooner or later. Israel and its supporters will not be able to prevent this,” he added.
On July 31, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh had been killed in an attack in Iran’s capital, Tehran.
In a statement, the IRGC said that Haniyeh and one of his bodyguards were killed when their house was hit in Tehran. A projectile hit a residence allocated to war veterans in Tehran at 2 am (local time) on Wednesday, according to a Press TV report.
In a statement to Mehr News Agency, the IRGC said, “With condolences to the heroic nation of Palestine and the Islamic nation and the combatants of the Resistance Front and the noble nation of Iran, this morning (Wednesday) the residence of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political office of the Islamic Resistance of Hamas, was hit in Tehran, and following this incident, he and one of his bodyguards were martyred.”
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the killing of Ismail Haniyeh and offered condolences to the Palestinian people.
It accused the Israeli government of lacking intention to achieve peace. It said that the attack was aimed at spreading war in Gaza to a regional level. It further said that Turkiye will continue to support the “just cause” of the Palestinian people.
In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The Netanyahu Government’s lack of intention to achieve peace has been demonstrated once again. This attack is also aimed at spreading the war in Gaza to a regional level. If the international community does not act to stop Israel, our region will face an even greater conflict.”
