16-year-old Catholic student suspended for wearing ‘There are only two genders’ shirt

A Catholic teenager has been suspended from his Ontario public high school for wearing a sweatshirt reading “There are only two genders.”

Astonishingly, a teacher from that same school called the Children’s Aid Society about the family that day.

Malachy O’Kane, 16, was suspended on April 18, the second day he decided to wear his gender critical shirt to the Granite Ridge Education Centre in Sharbot Lake, a village near Kingston, Ontario. He was excluded from school for six days, beginning Friday, April 19.

Malachy was first told to remove his shirt by the school’s vice-principal, Wojtek Czermak, on April 17, after the teenager was called out of his classroom about 30 minutes after the school day began.

“[Czermak] actually had the student counselor who helps talk with all the kids in the room with him,” Malachy told LifeSiteNews. “He said, ‘You can’t wear that.’ And I said, ‘Why?’ And he said, ‘It’s considered hate speech.’”

According to the teenager, the school, which serves children from kindergarten to Grade 12, displays ideo-political messaging, including LGBT and Black Lives Matter images, on its walls. Malachy said he remarked to the vice-principal that Czermak was forbidding him to express his own opinion as he stood in front of a BLM poster.

Malachy’s mother Kate O’Kane told LifeSiteNews that she knew that Malachy was going to get resistance when he went to school in his “There are only two genders” shirt. In fact, that resistance came from staff. Malachy told LifeSiteNews that when he arrived at school, many students high-fived him and said they agreed with him but guessed aloud that he would be suspended.

At first, the vice-principal merely remonstrated with Malachy and called the boy’s mother, who was waiting by the phone. Kate stood firmly behind her son, telling Czermak that the young man has “the freedom to express himself” and “the freedom to express his beliefs.”

“You shove the LGBTQ down these children’s throats, and if they say they disagree with you, they’re silenced,” the mother of five recalled telling the vice-principal.

“They’re removed so they can’t be loud, but you’re very loud. It’s all over the schools,” she added.

“I said, if he had shown up wearing a pride flag saying gender is non-binary, he would have been celebrated. But he wears this saying there are only two genders, quietly protesting what he believes. And he is taken out and silenced and removed.”

According to Kate, Czermak kept telling her to call the school board or remove her son. In the end, Kate picked Malachy up. His supporters at school then created a What’s App group and planned to express their own belief that there are only two sexes the following day.

With his mother’s knowledge – and pride that he was standing up for what he believes in – Malachy wore his shirt to school the next day. His younger brother Desmond and other students wore signs reading “There are only two genders,” which teachers ordered them to remove. Other students wrote “There are only two genders” on their hands. Some of these students, Malachy told LifeSiteNews, were then threatened with suspension or suspended.

Malachy and Desmond both received suspensions to begin the next day. Kate picked up all her children, save Desmond, who wanted to work on a project, from school.

Teacher calls Children’s Aid Society

When Desmond came home, he told his mother he had been contacted by a social worker.

“He said he was talking to his friend venting about life because it’s been stressful lately,” Kate told LifeSiteNews. Overhearing, “his teacher went directly down to the office and called [the Children’s Aid Society] CAS because ‘Desmond was in danger [in] coming home.’ And so after that call was made, CAS called Desmond to say, ‘Are you okay?’”

“And the school kept pressing him,” she continued.  “’Are you in danger? Do you need to stay here? Do we need to keep you here? Are you safe to go home?’”

“He said, ‘I’m perfectly fine.’”

Kate told LifeSiteNews that a week previously she had sent an email to this teacher to express her concern that the teacher was allowing some of her pupils to call her “Mommy.”

The CAS followed up by sending a social worker to talk to O’Kane children at school and then do a home visit. Happily, the home visit had a good result. According to Kate, the social worker determined that her children were “perfectly safe and there was no worry for them whatsoever” and that “they had a good home life and… a mother who fights for them.”

“She even agreed they should stand up for what they believe in,” Kate said.

Proposed enrolment in a special program

Purportedly because Malachy had a “long term suspension” he was assigned to a program at the YMCA in Kingston. However, his mother refused to give her permission for this placement, fearing it was dedicated to her son’s “reeducation.”

“They sent me the paper to sign that he gets put into a learning program in Kingston through the Limestone District School Board, where basically he’s taught how to correct the behavior that… led to his suspension,” Kate told LifeSiteNews.

“So basically they want to reeducate him as to why he is so wrong. I refused.”

LifeSiteNews reached out to both Wojtek Czermak and Carrie Moore, the school’s principal. Neither had responded by press time.

The Granite Ridge Education Centre’s website has this to say about inclusion in its district school board’s schools:

Limestone has an Equity and Inclusion Education Administrative Procedure which aligns with Ontario’s Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy. This procedure outlines the Board’s programs, guidelines and practices, ranging from curriculum and assessment to religious accommodation, creating a welcoming school climate and preventing discrimination and harassment. The Board provides resources, training opportunities and support to schools to promote equity and inclusive education.

Islam forbids organ donation, but allows receiving: As a Pakistani girl receives a heart transplant in India, Indians have many questions

A 19-year-old fashion designing aspirant named Ayesha Rashan from Pakistan’s Karachi got a new lease on life after she received a heart from an Indian patient via a heart transplantation surgery in Chennai. She was first admitted to MGM Healthcare in Chennai in 2019 as a result of a serious cardiac condition that developed into heart failure. She was advised of a heart transplant. The family was hesitant, though, because they couldn’t afford more than Rs 35 lakh needed for the transplant.

Afterwards, the medical team put the family in touch with the Aishwaryam Trust which provided the funds for the procedure. She eventually received the life-saving surgery at the hospital around six months ago and that too free of cost. The donor was a 69-year-old brain-dead patient from Delhi.

Notably, the development has raised a number of concerns among netizens who are wondering how a Pakistani girl managed to reach the top of the waiting list in a nation of over 1.2 billion people that is infamous for its high heart disease rate which is double the national averages of the western world. They also emphasised how Muslims often receive organs, however, organ donation is outright forbidden in Islam.

Dr K G Suresh Rao, co-director at the hospital’s Institute of Heart and Lung Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support claimed, “A heart is allotted to foreigners only when there is no prospective recipient in the entire country. Since this patient’s heart was that of a 69-year-old, many surgeons hesitated. We decided to take the risk partly because the condition of the donor’s heart was good and partly because we knew this was Ayesha’s only chance.”

On the other hand, the users are finding it hard to accept this argument considering the prevalence of heart disease among Indians and the enormous size of the country’s population. Organ transplants for foreigners, particularly those from Bangladesh and Pakistan, should be prohibited, according to Rakesh Krishnan Simha who highlighted, “Each year thousands of Indians die waiting for a heart transplant. However, a Pakistani girl jumped the queue and received an Indian heart free through leftist architect Chitra Vishwanath’s Aishwaryan Trust. The heart was flown from Delhi to Chennai for the Pakistani girl. The doctors claim nobody wanted it in Delhi, but who knows if these doctors are being economical with the truth to avoid controversy.”

Another user urged people not to vote for Congress and I.N.D.I. Alliance as he charged, “DMK ruled Chennai allowed heart transplant of a Pakistani girl who will never donate her organs. Thousands of Indian Tamil people were in line in government hospital but MGM Healthcare gave a heart transplant free of cost to a Pakistani.”

Another asked whether there was no one to help her in Pakistan and questioned, “Why are Muslims not organ donors? But happy to take non-Muslim ones? Muslims be organ donors.”

Organs can only be accepted, never donated

The irony was also brought out by many who questioned why Muslims are only receiving organs and never donating them because they believe it violates their religious beliefs. They challenged whether people who choose not to donate should still be able to receive organs and why there are disparate standards around it.

Even Syed Kirmani, the wicket-keeper for India’s 1983 Cricket World Cup winning team withdrew his promise to donate his eyes in 2018 which he had promised while attending an awareness campaign about eye donation at the Rajan Eye Care Centre in Chennai. He claimed to be an “emotional and sentimental” person who was moved by the hospital’s mission. He retracted his pledge because it might be against Islamic law. He claimed, “In Islam, we are not supposed to take out or donate the organs of a dead body.”

The same year, a Muslim doctor from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh named Arshad Mansuri revealed he was being threatened because he had promised to donate his organs after his death. Some in his community appeared to be offended by his noble sentiment and were angry with him for carrying out an action that they perceived to be “anti-Islamic.”

Islam forbids organ donation, according to a fatwa against him given by a madrasa in Kanpur. Arshad Mansuri, who encouraged other Muslims to donate organs has reported receiving threatening phone calls and being the target of a social boycott. Arshad Cleric Muneef Barkati who issued the fatwa asserted that the doctor approached him with a query about whether or not it is acceptable in Islam to donate one’s body or organs for medical purposes to which he responded that a human body is a gift from Allah and that in accordance with the Quran, a person does not own it.

He further added that if someone doesn’t obey what Allah commands, it’s dubious if they can truly be considered Muslims. Therefore, he claimed that Arshad Mansuri might be someone who is attempting to discredit the community by just adopting a Muslim name.

While there are several schools of thought within Islam, it seems that several individuals hold the general idea that Islam prohibits organ donation. It was reported in August 2016 that out of over a thousand records of organ or tissue donations between 2013 and 2016, not a single Muslim donor could be found in Telangana’s state cadaver organ transplantation authority’s database.

When kidney became kafir

Shockingly, it seems that the person who gives organs to a Muslim is likewise vulnerable to the wrath of the radicals. Lekha Namboothiri, a Hindu resident of Mavelikkara in the Alappuzha district of Kerala came onto a man’s advertisement in 2009 looking for kidney donors. She had turned down proposals totalling up to Rs 15 lakh and was eager to donate her kidney. Nevertheless, in 2012, she gave one of her kidneys to Shafi from Pattambi who was in critical need of a kidney replacement.

He pretended to be on his deathbed and presented himself as impoverished. Lekha made the decision and underwent the procedure in 2012. She was also struggling with her declining financial situation and lived in a leased home. Her finances had been severely strained by her husband Sajan’s medical treatment who was a patient himself. The pair’s two sons were enrolled in grades 8 and 10. However, she made the decision to proceed with the free organ donation despite these difficulties and declined numerous offers that totalled up to Rs 15 lakhs.

Everything then proceeded smoothly for nearly two years. A local newspaper learned about the incident in 2023, they wanted to run the story as it was the epitome of harmony between Muslims and Hindus. Lekha was hesitant to make things public since she and Sajan did not want unnecessary media attention but later agreed after they were persuaded by a reporter. The article was released with the “Communal Kidney” title.

Lekha’s husband informed the media that they sought Saifi’s permission before sharing their story but the latter expressed his displeasure as his family and relatives learned about it because the donor was from a different religion. The incredible deed was met with the fury of the beneficiary and his family who were overcome with a strong feeling of communal hatred. According to Lekha, Shafi insulted her after claiming to be ridiculed by friends, family and other members of his community for accepting a kidney from a Namboothiri woman.

Importantly, Lekha’s kids had attended Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) shakhas in the past to instil a sense of patriotism in them. The revelation that the family was associated with the outfit, however, was attempted to be suppressed by the state’s media. The secular media refrained from highlighting the altruistic deed committed by a Hindu.

Conclusion

Donating an organ is a wonderful deed that ought to be honoured but sometimes even the most commendable actions backfire due to the recipient’s nature. Showering generosity on the citizens of a nation that has a history of hostility against India, has preyed on Indian lives for decades and is notorious for its Hindumisia could prove catastrophic for us, as evidenced by multiple past events. Should medical tourism be an exception to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarkable statement that “terror and talks cannot go hand-in-hand?” It’s time we reconsider how much leeway we are willing to offer Pakistan in the name of humanity since our neighbour is doing everything in its power to bleed India and her innocent citizens.

A 25-year-old illegal immigrant was arrested by the police in Crete for the attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl.

The attack took place on April 1 in Theriso, Heraklion, with the Pakistani man entering the house where the 16-year-old lived through a window, reported Law & Order.

Although he was holding and threatening the teenager with a knife, she resisted, and the illegal immigrant ran away.

The 25-year-old did not have the necessary registration documents to stay in Greece legally.

Another Climate Folly: Carbon Capture and Storage

I’ve been hearing a lot of commercials on my favorite local conservative radio station from BP about their Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects (CCUS for “underground” storage), so my natural curiosity got aroused and decided to investigate it.

The World Economic Forum reports: “While such technologies have been commercially available for decades, only 30 CCUS projects are currently in operation across the globe, according to the Global CCS Institute. Another 11 are in construction and 153 are in development (in 2022 alone, 61 new CCUS projects were initiated).”

What is CCS/CCUS? For now, these systems primarily operate on industries that emit CO2 as a byproduct of their operations. Per BP  “CO2 is captured from various sources — either before it escapes into the atmosphere or directly from the air. The captured CO2 is compressed or liquefied and then transported, usually by pipeline. The CO2 is then safely stored permanently and securely thousands of feet underground — this process is often called “sequestration.””

Simple, right? Almost like that “clean” electricity that comes out of your wall plug to power those “clean” EV’s doesn’t come from coal or natural gas. Just don’t look behind the curtain and you’ll maintain your delusion of living in the magical land of Oz.

Let’s break down CCS:

CO2 is a gas (but you knew that), and makes up about 0.04% of the earth’s atmosphere. Oxygen comprises around 21%, with nitrogen, argon, and other random gasses making up most of the other 78%.

How do you “capture” CO2? Well, it’s not as easy as capturing the neighbor’s dog that got loose. One technique, called adsorption or absorption, “The emissions are piped into a device called an absorber, where the carbon dioxide interacts with chemical solvents that absorb it, allowing it to be separated from the other component gases, which are then released. The carbon dioxide and the solvent are then separated so the solvent can be reused.”

Is this process free? Nope. Requires energy.

Next is the process of compressing and liquifying the CO2. To turn into storable liquid, it must be compressed before it’s buried underground by geologic storage. In this method CO2 is liquified into “supercritical” carbon dioxide. As the U.S. Department of Energy explains, supercritical CO2 “has some properties like a gas and some properties like a liquid. In particular, it is dense like a liquid but has viscosity like a gas. The main advantage of storing CO2 in the supercritical condition is that the required storage volume is substantially less than if the CO2 were at ‘standard’ (room)-pressure conditions.”

What is the pressure of this compressed CO2? About 100 times atmospheric pressure (bars) or about 1,500 psi. That’s enough pressure to lift water 3,500 feet upward, or about 2/3 of a mile.

Is this process free? Nope. Requires energy.

The CO2 is then transported by truck or through pipelines to the storage site(s). Pipelines require pumps. Trucks typically require diesel fuel.

Then the liquified CO2 is pushed down deep in the earth under layers of rock, which requires drilling and more pumping.

Is this process free? Nope. Requires energy.

So now that we’ve got liquified CO2 buried under a naturally porous earth at a pressure that can lift water the equivalent of the depth it is buried, how long will it stay there? Who knows? Even though there have been no long-term studies on this at the various geologic sites and conditions planned for these vast and expansive projects, various government-funded studies such as this one (laundered through MIT) are suggesting it’s “safe and effective” because gas has been found buried in the earth for millions of years. Spoiler alert… we didn’t put it there by drilling big holes. Big difference.

At least some are recognizing the burden CCS places on cost, energy, and effectiveness, but it doesn’t get much mainstream news. As this article in the MIT Technology Review put it, “The noise, news, and hype are feeding a perception that carbon removal will be cheap, simple, scalable, and reliable — none of which we can count on.” The WEF itself claims: “We identify three main challenges. The first is cost, as CCUS facilities are both capital-intensive to deploy and energy-intensive and expensive to operate… A second challenge is the underperformance (and sometimes outright failure) of CCUS operations, possibly due to their relative technological youth… Finally, CCUS operations are not free of environmental concerns. One risk is CO2 leakage from storage, though we can be reasonably reassured about the solidity of natural geological formations that have already stored gas for millions of years. CCUS systems increase environmental damages from toxicity, acidification, eutrophication, etc.”

Have no fear, however, because the U.S. Government is here to rescue this miserable technology. Per the WEF, the answer isn’t to just plant more trees… but keep throwing money at innovation! “We single out the US as a leader, with a recent $62 billion budget for the Department of Energy, including $10 billion earmarked for carbon capture, direct air capture and industrial emission reduction.”

Top German officials accused of manipulating nuclear phase-out advice

The decision to close down the last working nuclear power plants in Germany was made on manipulated information, Berlin-based Cicero magazine has claimed.

Officials from the ministries for economics and environment advised the that continued operation of the atomic facilities should be considered, but “green” activists within the ministries allegedly “played dirty games” to have such advice buried, the magazine claimed on April 25.

Cicero sued for the release of said documents after the ministry led by Economic Affairs and Climate Action minister Robert Habeck tried to stonewall attempts to report on the issue.

When the documents were released on judge’s orders, they turned out to be “extremely explosive”.

Alexander Marguier, Cicero editor-in-chief, said they showed “how the Habeck ministry was tricked and deceived in order to deceive the public but also the responsible minister himself”.

A small group of green activists within the ministry of economy and the environment, led by Habeck and Steffi Lemke, respectively – both of the Green Party – allegedly manipulated and even falsified expert judgement to “deceive” politicians and the public.

This reportedly took place in the spring of 2022 when the Russian invasion of Ukraine made it obvious that energy would become a major issue in Germany.

Berlin saw its Russian gas supplies in peril and feared power shortages and big energy-price hikes.

It appeared to many the nuclear phase-out was dead – but the German Government decided to move ahead with it anyway, closing the final plant in April last year.

Cicero claimed the ministries wanted to push through the nuclear phase-out at any price, even if it went against basic economic needs and scientific facts.

According to the magazine, in one internal memo a scientist stated that the existing nuclear plants could operate safely for years. That was allegedly altered to suggest that extending their operational lives, even by a few months, posed nuclear-safety risks.

Habeck reportedly never saw the original version.

In another internal memo, experts noted that extending the lifetime of the nuclear facilities would reduce electricity prices and stabilise the grid.

It allegedly highlighted that the “low variable costs” associated with operating the remaining three power plants “could lead to lower electricity prices in numerous hours”. Because nuclear power is one of the most cost-effective forms of electricity, the memo added, it often “displaces gas-fired power plants”.

Again, Habeck reportedly did not see the original version. Allegedly, the person who did see it was then-state secretary Patrick Graichen.

Graichen was a key figure with the energy transition lobby organisation Agora Energiewende, pushing for the nuclear phase-out and advocating for a controversial heating law. He was fired from Government after a nepotism scandal in May 2023, one month after the last German nuclear plant was closed.

According to the documents seen by Cicero, Habeck fully trusted Graichen when he worked with him. Graichen is said to have written a question-and-answer text for the ministry’s website advocating against any extension of nuclear-energy plants but it reportedly turned out to be riddled with inaccurate information.

Gerrit Niehaus, Director General on Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection at BMUV and a vocal opponent of nuclear power, criticised the paper upon review, stating it was “grossly inaccurate, particularly in the introduction”.

Prior to being posted online, the text and an FAQ section underwent extensive revisions, it seems.

In other documents, Niehaus allegedly deleted passages showing expert opinions stating that continued operation of nuclear-power plants would be compatible with nuclear safety. He is accused of making it appear the opposite was said.

The Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is said to have neglected to acknowledge internally that keeping the nuclear-power plants running would reduce the need to import electricity. Conversely, the closure of nuclear plants led to grid bottlenecks and more power-plant shutdowns.

In an initial reaction to Cicero’s alleged revelations, Habeck said he knew nothing about the expert opinions in his ministry.

The ministry itself rejected the report of possible “deception”. It said the magazine’s presentation was “abbreviated and without context” and accordingly the conclusions drawn from it were “not accurate”.

“This review was always open-ended and transparent,” it stated.

“Considerations and decisions were based on the information available at the time and in view of the real situation, which only changed and came to a head over the course of the months,” the ministry added.

Gerald Ullrich, chairman of Germany’s liberal FDP party, claimed the files showed “That we citizens and we coalition partners have not learned the whole truth about the nuclear power phase-out,” calling it “a breach of trust” that should carry “consequences”.

Michael Kruse, energy-policy spokesman for the FDP, said he was “disappointed in Robert Habeck”, claiming citizens had “been deprived of the truth”.

“A minister who, in a historic energy crisis, decides not for the good of the country, but for party ideology, does not need to act as a victim,” Kruse added.

The Christian Democrats of the CDU/CSU said a parliamentary committee of inquiry might be required to get to the bottom of things.

The CDU/CSU said it believed the nuclear power-plant shutdowns were a mistake and criticised the proposals at the time, despite the closures being initiated by the then-CDU leader, former chancellor Angela Merkel.

The parliamentary secretary of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, Thorsten Frei, stated on X: “The old suspicion is confirmed: Parliament and the population were lied to when nuclear power was phased out.”

He demanded the immediate disclosure of all material regarding the circumstances of the decision to phase out nuclear power.

The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger said: “It is obvious that green energy policy pursues ideology without regard to losses.

“The Greens are harming Germany.”

The Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) party claimed the disclosed files proved “that Green Party puppet-masters in the ministries deceived the public and ignored professional expertise”.

Energy expert Veronika Grimm, a member of the German Government’s Council of Economic Experts, said in an interview with FOCUS online news outlet she was shocked by the apparent revelations.

“If the … experts in the Ministry of Economic Affairs really did not get through to Robert Habeck, then that would be very worrying,” she said.

“He doesn’t have to make decisions based on economic criteria alone but how is he supposed to weigh up if important information doesn’t reach him at all?”

Right-Wing MEP Censored in EU Parliament for Criticizing Green Policies

The European Parliament has once again made it clear whether it stands on the side of globalist powers or the European people. 

MEP Jorge Buxadé Villalba, head of the Spanish VOX delegation and co-chair of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) group, was silenced during Wednesday’s plenary session in Strasbourg for criticizing, in a creative way, the EU’s green transition and the UN’s “Agenda 2030,” the global action plan involving 17 “sustainable development goals” to be implemented by the end of the decade.

The plenary debate in question was titled “The attack on climate and nature: far-right and conservative attempts to destroy the Green Deal and prevent investment in our future”—a “meme” in itself, as Buxadé remarked after taking the floor.

The MEP promised that VOX and the other conservative parties will work toward repealing the EU’s Green Deal as well as fighting against the “diabolical Agenda 2030,” which is nothing but “a plan of mass layoffs against workers, the middle classes, and European companies.” 

Then he produced two sheets of paper depicting the logos of the Green Deal and the Agenda 2030, before screwing up both documents. 

It was then when the chair of the session, the German MEP Jan-Cristoph Oetjen from the liberal Renew group arbitrarily decided to cut Buxadé’s microphone despite there being no apparent reason for it in the parliamentary protocol. 

“This is not the way we proceed here,” Oetjen said, asking Buxadé to leave the stand.

Nonetheless, the conservative MEP could still be heard as he finished the speech: “… we’ll make precious recycled paper from the Green Pact and the Agenda 2030.”

Eight in Ten Believe Immigration is Too High in Ireland, Anti-Migrant Camp Protests Boil Over With Six Arrests Overnight

The overwhelming majority in Ireland have turned against the open borders agenda favoured by elites in Dublin, with eight in ten now saying that they think immigration is too high.

Over the past two decades, Ireland has seen a radical shift in its demographic makeup as mass migration policies saw the foreign-born population more than double since 2006 and now makes up a fifth of the entire population of the Emerald Isle.

Yet, this agenda of allowing increasing waves of migrants into the country is out of step with what the rest of the country wants, with a survey from Amárach Research on behalf of the Irish Daily Mail of 1,000 people finding that 79 per cent believe that the number of immigrants allowed in per year is “too high” as opposed to just 2 per cent who favoured more immigration.

There is also a growing sense that the neo-liberal government is not concerned with the opinion of the people on the issue, with 61 per cent saying that Dublin does not care how they feel about immigration, rising to 68 per cent among those between the ages of 35 and 54.

Additionally, nearly two-thirds (64 per cent) agreed with the notion that “the Government isn’t in control of immigration to Ireland” compared to just 20 per cent who disagreed.

Strikingly, it is the women of Ireland who are most concerned about the issue, with 50 per cent of women saying that immigration levels are “much to high” while just 40 per cent of men felt the same.

Just last night fresh protests broke out in Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow, Ireland outside a new venue for migrant accommodation that locals said they didn’t want in their neighbourhood. A Gript report states there had been peaceful protests against creating a tent encampment for new migrants for six weeks, but that locals felt they had been totally ignored and consequently feel they “do not have a voice”.

Remarkably, “a large number of balaclava clad workers” are said to have been “forced” onto the site by police so they could work to prepare it for the new arrivals a few days ago. Now, police say there were a number of arrests overnight into this morning and that police officers were forced to “defend themselves” against protesters, and claimed there was “disinformation” being spread about the clash.

The poll comes as the government has been given “stark warnings” about the nation’s budget for the asylum system causing several government departments to exceed their allocated spending to handle the influx of foreigners.

The asylum system itself, known as ‘International Protection’ in Ireland, is struggling to house the number of asylum seekers, forcing the government to commandeer hotels and other buildings throughout the country to house migrants, sparking angry protests across the nation.

Yet, according to the Department of Integration, there are at least 1,686 alleged asylum seekers who have not been given accommodation from the state, leaving many to sleep rough on the streets and others taking to a tent city in the heart of Dublin outside the International Protection office.

According to the 2022 Census, 20 per cent of the residential population of Ireland was born outside of the country, representing 1,017,437 people. This is an increase of nearly a fifth since 2016, rising by 207,031. In comparison, in 2006, just 420,000 people living in Ireland were foreign-born.

The drastic rise in immigration has taken the population to 5,150,000 in 2022, the first time since 1851 that the population of the island nation surpassed five million.

Excluding the micro-nations of Cyprus, Malta, and Luxembourg, Ireland now only trails behind Estonia, the Czech Republic and Lithuania with the highest number of immigrants per capita in the European Union.

Germany: Family on a pilgrimage to Mecca – job centre reclaims money!

People who are supported by the job centre and receive citizen’s benefits can only accept gifts of money to a limited extent. A Berlin family on a pilgrimage to Mecca received 62,250 euros from a neighbour. Not legal, a Berlin court has now ruled.

Following the ruling by the Berlin-Brandenburg Regional Social Court, the family must now pay around 22,600 euros back to the job centre, as a court spokesperson announced on Thursday.

This relates to benefits that the couple and their child received from June 2018 to December 2019 – although they had received 62,250 euros as a gift from a neighbour during this time.

According to the court, the job centre initially had no idea about the gift of money. However, the payment was discovered as part of an investigation against the couple for fraud.

As it was significantly higher than the possible gift amount of 16,500 euros, the job centre demanded benefits back on the grounds that the family was not in need of assistance at the time.

The family appealed against this, arguing that the payment had been made for a specific purpose. They had received the money as thanks for looking after their neighbour, who was in need of care. She had wanted to enable them to fulfil their long-cherished wish of travelling to Mecca.

Neither the Berlin Social Court nor the appeal court accepted the family’s arguments. Among other things, the judges criticised the fact that there was no evidence of the high costs of the pilgrimage and that the claimants wanted all payments to be made in cash. It is contrary to life experience to pay for a flight costing more than 5,000 euros in cash, they said.

The judgement is not legally binding.

Women’s Health Clinic Bans Disabled Female Patient Over “Adult Human Female” T-Shirt

A disabled Pennsylvanian woman is speaking out after Planned Parenthood Keystone dismissed her from medical treatment over what they allege are “anti-trans and transphobic” views. The woman, who uses the pseudonym Jane Lane, had been receiving healthcare at the Pennsylvania clinic for over a decade.

Lane shared a letter she says she received from Trish Tashjian, the Chief Operating Officer of Planned Parenthood Keystone on April 11.

“To ensure the highest level of patient care, I want to inform you that Planned Parenthood Keystone will no longer be available to serve you as your healthcare provider, effective 4/11/2024,” Tashjian wrote.

“The dismissal from services is due to repeated offensive conversations and symbols that contradict our commitment to creating an inclusive and compassionate environment for both staff and patients. Numerous complaints from staff members have been received, and a recent complaint from a patient regarding your anti-trans and transphobic rhetoric and symbols has been brought to our attention. Resources below are recommendations for choosing a new healthcare provider. We will be available to see you in case of medical emergencies until 5/10/2024. We will transfer your medical records to your new healthcare provider upon receipt of a signed authorization to do so.”

The letter was initially shared on X by @TTExulansic, who also included photos of the shirts Lane had occasionally worn to her appointments. Among the shirts were those with slogans “Make Women Female Again”; “Woman: Adult Human Female”; and “100% Natural Woman, Female Original.”

But Lane says she witnessed a Planned Parenthood staff member with yellow and purple hair wearing similarly politicized t-shirts and jewelry, including a “smash the gender binary” pin and “they/them” pronoun earrings.

Lane has revealed that Planned Parenthood Keytstone cancelled an upcoming medical appointment and barred her from booking further appointments online. She also alleged that she received zero warning, that no attempt was made to accommodate her beliefs prior to her termination, and that no official Planned Parenthood policy documents were provided or explained to her. 

Lane suffers from several health diagnoses, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and had been accessing the clinic for birth control injections for the past decade.

In an email with Reduxx, Lane described how she had conversations about “men in women’s prisons, sports, and locker rooms” while she was at the clinic, but added that she hadn’t intended to offend anyone. She said that she even apologized to staff for sharing “gross information” after talking about genital surgeries performed on transgender identified men and women on a single occasion.

She denied being transphobic, adding that her concerns about gender ideology had to do with the safeguarding of women and children.

“I am absolutely terrified of men in women’s spaces, the erosion of women’s rights, and the abuse of children that is all being done under the name of trans,” said Lane.

Lane is now seeking legal advice. She said she is thankful to have been able to find alternate healthcare after being fired as a patient from Planned Parenthood Keystone. 

According to their website, “The mission of Planned Parenthood Keystone is to provide and promote access to the essential reproductive health care services and comprehensive sexuality education people need to live healthy lives and build strong communities.” There are no policies about inclusion or patient conduct on the site. 

Planned Parenthood Keystone has not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
