Agatha Christie, an elderly lady from Devon, had plenty of blood on her hands, all of it fictional. But none of the killers in her many books and short stories are nearly as monstrous or obsessed as the censorious wokes who have been coming after the deceased author for decades.

The latest episode in the long-running saga takes place not on a luxurious train speeding through Yugoslavia or on the Nile, but at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) which had performed Christie’s play, “And Then There Were None.”

“And Then There Were None” is a natural fit for a high school setting. With lots of different balanced roles and one-note characters who reveal a hidden side, it’s a training wheels production for students learning the basics of performing a character and acting on stage.

It’s also fun. Ten people. One island. And a killer.

There’s a reason why “And Then There Were None” has remained popular and Hollywood keeps ripping it off for movies like 2022’s ‘The Menu’ which added food to the premise.

Over February, a mutlti-racial cast of Philly teens had taken on the roles of murderers and murder victims on an island off Christie’s native Devon, England, with the enthusiasm and polish to be expected of teenage actors, and had fun with it, smoking cigars, rocking in rocking chairs, dressing up and trying to deliver lines in shocked voices, until they were told it was all wrong.

And the play, based on one of the best-selling novels ever written, was really a hate crime.

While there’s nothing objectionable about the play (unless you object to people being murdered, which wokes do not), it’s based on a Christie novel whose title once had the “N-word” in it after a minstrel song. It was then charged to “Ten Little Soldiers” or “Ten Little Indians” in various versions and eventually became known as “And Then There Were None.” The novel never appeared under its original offensive name in America and it’s been that way since 1940.

As a British author, Christie didn’t understand the offensiveness of the “N-word” and American culture the way that the Yanks did. By the end of the forties, Christie had cleaned up her own books long before the modern woke publishers began rewriting them for offensive content.

There’s nothing actually racist about “And Then There Were None.” None of the characters are black, but one of the white characters is actually punished for his abuses toward African people.

Philip Lombard, one of the more clearly evil characters, describes stealing the food of his African mercenaries. “Natives don’t mind dying, you know. They don’t feel about it as Europeans do,” he villainously claims. That original crime is the reason why he deserves to die.

But still the staff at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts are fielding outrage because the school allowed “And Then There Were None” to be performed despite the fact that over eighty years ago, before anyone involved was born, it used to have a racist title.

And, worse still, the performance had happened during Black History Month.

Some wokes figured it out and became professionally outraged, claiming that the play contained “racist, xenophobic, and violent content”. Violent content in a murder mystery? Well, I never!

Outraged leftists claimed that the play about ten bad people being killed off by an unknown murderer “lacked historical context and did not provide any cautionary preface or follow-up discussion”. Wokes love nothing more than adding mandatory trigger warnings to everything..

The mother of a student complained, “there was a scene in the play where a noose swings out on stage and a white student is holding the noose.The whole crowd gasped. We were not sure if somebody was going to get lynched or what would happen next. I was kind of aghast and shocked.”

Spoiler alert: no one got ‘lynched’ on an island off the English coast in the 1930s. The noose serves to enable the climactic suicide. It has nothing whatsoever to do with lynching. That didn’t stop an NPR affiliate from writing multiple paragraphs describing the history of lynching in America, which has as much to do with the play as Commodore Perry’s expedition to Japan.

Molefi Asante, an African American studies prof, insisted the school should have lectured on “the history of racism in Britain and America” and “why this play is significant now. The director of the play missed an opportunity to really educate the students about the meaning of the play.”

The meaning of the play is that it’s entertaining. That is a concept wokes are incapable of understanding. It is not about the history of racism. It has no significance “now” or ever. It is refreshingly free of George Floyd, Trans Visibility or any of the things wokes insist plays must be about. It’s fun and there’s nothing that wokes hate more than fun. Except maybe white people.

Since the squeaky wokes get the grease, CAPA’s principal has already apologized “for the offense that this has caused” and vowed that while she “cannot undo the harm caused, please know that as a school community we are taking active and intentional steps to prevent similar incidents in the future.” That means all future plays will be about transgenders and lynching.

CAPA is holding a ‘Town Hall’ at which outraged wokes will scream about their pain until there are none left to listen. No amount of apologies will sate their bloodlust, only embolden them.

Throughout all of the subsequent outrage, none of them has managed to coherently explain what’s wrong with the play aside from the novel’s original title. Multiple people interviewed by the local NPR arm still could not explain what they were offended by except the original title.

And until they were told about the title, they had no idea that anything was wrong.

That’s because there was nothing wrong. And had someone not checked Wikipedia, it would have stayed that way. Wokes are not genuinely offended, they’re seeking to take offense. The more offended they are, the more power they get. And the more power they get, the more offended they are. The vicious cycle of violence is what “And There Were None” is About.

Whodunit it? The wokes did.

Switzerland will hold a referendum on whether to implement measures to ensure the country’s population does not exceed 10 million people after a right-wing party garnered enough signatures to initiate a public vote on stricter immigration controls.

The populist Swiss People’s Party (UDC) submitted to the Federal Chancellery on Wednesday a petition that complied with the requirements necessary for the government to call a referendum.

Under Switzerland’s direct democracy system, referenda on any issue can be called should a petition reach 100,000 signatures within 18 months of its launch. The UDC harvested 114,600 signatures in just nine months in its bid for the government to implement “sustainable demographic development” by ensuring the permanent resident population of Switzerland does not exceed 10 million people by 2050.

Under the proposal, the Swiss government would have to take urgent measures as soon as the permanent resident population exceeds 9.5 million by, for example, suspending the ability for migrants to obtain residence permits, Swiss citizenship, or any other right to stay in the country.

The move could also see Switzerland forced to withdraw from international treaties including its bilateral agreement with the European Union on free movement and the U.N. Global Compact for Migration.

Commenting on the collection of the signatures, UDC leader Marco Chiesa said he was “proud and honored” to fight for the future of Switzerland’s “direct democracy and the next generations.”

In a post on Facebook, the Swiss politicians said the initiative “serves to preserve our values: independence, direct democracy, sovereignty, and freedom. But it is also a policy in the municipalities that guarantees the safety, services, and well-being of all of us.”

“Since 2023, for the first time, more than 9 million people have been living in our country,” said UDC National Councilor and Group Chairman Thomas Aeschi. “Last year, an additional 98,851 people immigrated to our country. Added to this are more than 30,000 asylum seekers.”

The right-wing populist party said that rising immigration had resulted in “housing shortages and rising rents, traffic jams on the roads, crowded trains and buses, falling standards of schools, increasing violence and crime, electricity shortages, income stagnating per capita, ever-higher health insurance premiums, indebted social services, and increased pressure on the beauty of the landscape and the preservation of nature.”

The initiative is the latest attempt by the UDC to force the issue on immigration, having had a similar referendum rejected in 2020 to suspend the free movement of people with the European Union by 62 percent to 38.

An Israeli film festival’s co-founder has slammed a pair of UK cinema chains for promoting “cancel culture” after they refused to host screenings for the event, allegedly due to the “political atmosphere”.

Odelia Haroush, the co-founder and chief exec of the Seret International Film Festival – which showcases the “best of Israeli feature films, documentaries, shorts and TV” – said Curzon Cinemas and Picturehouse Cinemas, despite the pair being long-term partners of the festival, had declined to show films featured in this year’s offering.

Haroush said Seret had been pushed to drop film showings in Cambridge over what she called the “political atmosphere with the university and students there”.

Haroush added: “Their role should be to show films and culture and not cancel culture… Especially now; don’t cancel Palestinian culture, Russian culture, Ukrainian culture or Israeli culture.

“It is not that I am going to show [films] that show everything is blooming and great in Israel.

“We pick films on their artistic values and not political values. But I believe from the bottom of my heart in free speech.”

She said people involved in the film world were “not the ones to blame for what is going on in Israel”, and that she believed it was important its culture could be seen throughout the rest of the world.

Haroush continued: “This is why I am fighting; I want to show their work outside Israel… [But] the pressures on cinema houses and the pressure not to go and see a film is very very big now.”

The festival attracted a string of demonstrations earlier this year when it was being shown at cinemas in Amsterdam and Barcelona.

In the former, protests became “violent”, while in the latter, a cinema banned a film screening, forcing Haroush to relocate with just 24 hours’ notice.

Though Seret is “independent, non-political and non-religious”, it does receive Israeli state funding – though Haroush said this accounted for under five per cent of the festival’s budget.

She said the festival – a registered charity – received “much more funding” from the New Israel Fund, which Haroush described as “very left-wing” and a supporter of a “two-state solution”.

Haroush, who was born in Israel-born but has lived in London for decades, said Picturehouse had told her it was “not going to work” in November, with an executive reportedly adding: “We are afraid for our staff and for our visitors”.

Curzon, on the other hand, had allegedly originally agreed to host screenings – but following an Israeli missile strike on a food truck in Gaza earlier this year, its management had rescinded the offer.

This year’s festival’s UK screenings, due to be held in May, have now been limited to a small venue in Brighton and a few locations in North-West London.

Claire Fox, Baroness Fox of Buckley, said the festival “has faced relentless attacks & bullying from anti-Israel activists, including: threatened boycotts of cinema houses; demands to cancel screenings; threats to partners, coercing them to withdraw their support.

She added: “If we let such censorship have a free pass, it means a serious blow to artistic freedom in general, on ALL and ANY controversial topics and should be opposed”, and prompted people to support a crowdfunding appeal for Seret – which has raised almost £14,000.

Scotland’s fascist “hate crime” went into effect earlier this week as the country’s First Minister, Humza Yousaf, seeks to crack down on free speech and opposition to his leftist agenda.

However, Yousaf’s big idea did not appear to go to plan after Scots flooded the tip line with reports about a speech he gave back in 2020 when he chastised white people.

Police Scotland has received more than 3,000 hate crime reports since a new law was introduced on Monday, the BBC understands.

It creates a new crime of “stirring up hatred” over protected characteristics. A large number were about a 2020 speech by First Minister Humza Yousaf – then justice secretary – highlighting white people in prominent public roles.

The lax British judicial system is sparing more repeat knife crime offenders from prison than at any time since the government introduced a so-called two-strike system in 2015.

According to an analysis of Ministry of Justice statistics conducted by the Independent website, almost four in ten of the over 4,000 repeat knife crime offenders did not face prison time in the year leading up to September of 2023 in England and Wales.

The report found that 38 per cent of repeat knife criminals avoided immediate jail terms, an increase from 35 per cent the year prior and the low of 28 per cent in 2019.

Additionally, the rate of those merely given suspended sentences climbed to 23 per cent last year, which tied the record high set in 2021 and in one per cent of cases, the repeat knife crime offender was merely handed down a fine.

It comes despite the Conservative government under former Prime Minister David Cameron in 2015 introducing a two-strike system, which mandated that adults convicted of more than one knife crime face a minimum of six months in prison.

This mandate was further laid out by the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022 which specifically told judges that repeat knife crime offenders must face prison time unless “exceptional circumstances” are present.

The surge in repeat offenders being spared jail time comes amid a broader escalation in knife crime in Britain, with the number of offences recorded surging by five per cent in England and Wales to 49,000 in the year up to September. According to the analysis, nearly 45 per cent of murders were done with a knife or a sharp weapon.

In response to the judiciary failing to implement the law, the chairman of the Police Federation, Steve Hartshorn said: “It is no wonder the victims and the wider public feel let down.”

“Decisions on sentencing guidelines appear to be knee-jerk reactions, driven by budget and the availability of prison places rather than by logic or strategy, which hamstrings the ability of judges to pass appropriate sentences,” he added.

Mr Hartshorn, who has called for a Royal Commission to study the holes in the criminal justice system, went on to claim that the failures of judges and magistrates to send criminals to jail were leading to a morale crisis among police forces, pointing to a survey from last year in which nine out of ten officers in the West Midlands reported low morale.

Despite pledges from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak — as well as his predecessors — to crack down on knife crime, offences have risen considerably under the Conservative Party’s leadership. Since coming into power in 2010, the number of knife crime incidents per year has risen from 36,000 to 50,500 last year, according to the Office for National Statistics.

While the government has often touted “bolstering” police forces across the country with 20,000 new officers, between governments between 2010 and 2018, the number of officers in the country fell by over 21,000 in England and Wales, meaning the number of police is still be lower than when the Tories came into power.

The focus on actual crimes has also waned during Tory leadership, which has seen an increased emphasis on monitoring speech restrictions and offence taking, with police spending their limited resources recording hundreds of thousands of so-called non-crime hate incidents, which as their name implies are not even considered criminal under British law.

Despite the government telling the police to stop the practice — although not going so far as to abolish the category through law — a report this week found that forces across the country are continuing to log thousands of cases including online arguments, drunken rants, or disputes between neighbours as “hate incidents”.

Thousands of athletes at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will have to make do without air conditioning as the organisers have decided not to install ACs at the athletes’ village as part of their initiative to combat global warming. Rather than having air conditioning, a geothermal cooling system will be used to maintain the temperature of the apartments, where 10,500 Olympians and 4,400 Paralympians will stay.

“We designed these buildings so that they would be comfortable places to live in in the summer, in 2024 and later on, and we don’t need air conditioning in these buildings because we oriented the facades so that they wouldn’t get too much sun during the summer, and the facades, the insulation is really efficient,” said Yann Krysinski, who is directing the service of infrastructure for the Games.

“We also are providing naturally cool water that we’re getting from underground to cool the air of these apartments. So you will not need air conditioning in the summer here,” Yann added.

The event is scheduled to take place between July 26 and August 11, a time when extreme temperatures are predicted in the city. Heat waves over the summer of last year claimed the lives of almost 5,000 people in France, according to a February announcement by health officials. According to a new study, the capital may experience more heatwaves lasting weeks during the 2024 Olympics, potentially breaking all previous records for temperature. The current records sit at 108 degrees Fahrenheit or 42.23 degrees Celcius.

Despite this, the organisers of 2024 Summer Olympics are confident that by installing specialised technology to use natural sources to keep everyone cool even during a potential heat wave, they will be able to deliver the most sustainable Olympics to date and reduce the carbon footprint of the Paris Games by half.

Netizens/scientists question the rationale behind the decision

The country’s decision to not install air conditioners for athletes as part of their ‘go green’ initiative, that too at this part of the year when the temperature in France soars to almost 42 degrees Celcius, has not only left the participants but several scientists and social media users baffled.

A scientist by the name of Mark Nelson took to X to question the French government’s choice to deny the athletes access to even a basic comfort like air conditioning in an effort to “combat climate change,” particularly in light of the country’s nearly carbon-free electricity.

He pointed out how France has excess electricity and its system is almost entirely carbon neutral. In fact, the country has so much extra electricity that in the summer, it even shuts down its nuclear reactors. “Yet it appears they’re intentionally underpowering cooling for athletes to make a fake environmental statement,” Mark Nelson lamented.

Craig Kelly, a former member of the Australian Parliament also called the decision an ‘insane delusion’ given that most of France‘s electricity comes from nuclear power, he said.

‘We’re not going for a picnic’: Teams hit back at Paris Olympics organisers for its no air conditioning green policy

Several teams that will be participating in to 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris do not seem to be happy with the decision to not install ACs for athletes in the sweltering summers, which they feel would ultimately affect their performances. Many teams have said that they will be utilising portable air conditioners in their rooms due to concerns over the performance of their athletes.

During the games in Paris, Greece’s Olympic delegation will be equipped with portable air conditioners. Earlier this year, Spyros Capralos, the president of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, told the Greek newspaper Kathimerini that the organisation would “spare no expense” for its athletes and that they intended to either purchase air conditioners or find a sponsor to meet their air conditioning demands.

The Australian Olympic team stated in November of last year that it was prepared to spend more than $100,000 AUS (€60,000) on air conditioning and fans to keep their athletes comfortable.

Matt Carroll, the CEO of the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), stated to the media that they “appreciate the concept of not having air conditioning due to the carbon footprint. But this is a high-performance game. We are not going for a picnic.”

He stated that the AOC has hired a heat specialist who knows how the human body functions best at different temperatures.

“As we’ve explained to the Paris Organising Committee, athletes have got to sleep during the day, because their events are at night,” Carrol added.

“Daytime will be when it’s hottest. That’s been informing our decision to put temporary air conditioners in the athletes’ rooms and also fans.”

For “performance-related” reasons, the Irish Olympic Federation is also apparently intending to cover the cost of air conditioning for its athletes’ lodging at the 2024 games.

According to the organisers, delegations will not receive A/C units. The addition of portable air conditioners to rooms, however, is possible “through a list of rental equipment offered by Paris 2024.”

All of their cooling techniques, however, they claim, give them “confidence that the athletes and their staff will be comfortable in the village without needing A/C.”

Politicians on the German Right have expressed their fury after it was revealed their country’s foreign ministry has started advertising citizenship opportunities in Arabic.

The outrage centres on the state-run Germany @ Arab World X account, which posted a thread in late March publicly announcing recent changes made to German citizenship law.

“Many have waited years and decades for this, and now it is finally in law,” the post said.

“The new citizenship law will apply from June 26, 2024 to everyone who wants to become German.”

The account went on to detail in Arabic the numerous changes, noting that those who wish to become Germans will no longer be forced to surrender any non-EU citizenships they hold.

While the post did mention there remained certain requirements for becoming German – migrants have to be able to support themselves financially barring “exceptions”, and any potential candidates must not be either racist or antisemitic – many fear the post is effectively an attempt to encourage more migration.

Politicians from both the Christian Democrats and the populist AfD party have railed against the foreign ministry’s decision to allow the post, with both groups accusing the State of demeaning the value of the German passport.

“Citizenship is not just some cheap item in the online shop but the most valuable asset that states have to offer,” said Martin Huber, the General Secretary of Bavaria’s Christian Social Union.

AfD Bundestag MP Martin Sichert described the centre-Left Government as “courting Arabs who have no knowledge of German” with the offer of citizenship.

Manuel Hagel, a senior member of the Christian Democratic Union, called on the country’s foreign minister Annalena Baerbock to “correct” the situation by reversing course.

The possibility of obtaining an EU passport, Hagel argued, should “not be a means of to lure foreigners to Germany”.

“You can’t actively invite everyone who wants to become German to Germany,” he said, adding that citizenship should only ever be granted to someone after they had successfully integrated into German society and not used as a lure before that point.

Despite the criticism, Germany’s foreign ministry has opted to stick to its guns, arguing that the Arabic social media post was completely justified.

“The German Centres provide current and reliable information worldwide on political and social developments in Germany,” it said.

“This also includes information on the current legal situation, such as nationality law.”

 Globalism is not only a danger to our essential liberties; it also runs contrary to Catholic social teaching (CST).

As globalists at the WEF, the U.N., and the WHO are grabbing more and more power and control over our lives, we cannot help but notice something is not going right. Moritz Scholtysik, chairman of the Institute for the Propagation of Catholic Social Teaching in Germany, sat down with me to discuss why globalism contradicts traditional Church teaching and must be rejected by all faithful Catholics.

Scholtysik told me, “Catholic social teaching is basically the Church’s answer to political, economic, and social problems.”

He explained that CST in the “more narrow sense” was developed in the 19^th and 20^th centuries, primarily by Catholic popes writing encyclicals on the questions of how Catholics “should interact with the non-Catholic society, how we should interact with the non-Catholic state and how we ultimately actually make [the state] Catholic again.”

He added that Catholic social teaching is based on Catholic traditions and the great Catholic philosophers like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas.

Scholtysik said that globalism is opposed to Catholic teaching and the natural law.

Subsidiarity is “a very important principle of natural law,” meaning that institutions on the lower levels of society, like families, are allowed and obliged to fulfill certain tasks by themselves.

“And the higher entity in the social structure, for example, the state, is only allowed to get in and take over this task at the moment and to the extent that the lower level of the social structure is not able to [fulfill it],” Scholtysik said.

“Globalism destroys this whole idea of subsidiarity,” he added. “They [globalists] try to get all the decision-making processes, all the rules, the laws. They try to bring it all to a global level and leave none to the lower levels of the social structure.”

However, “the lower levels have their natural task, and if the higher levels, especially on a global level, just take it away, that will destroy the natural structure, will destroy natural law, and therefore, in the end, man will not be able to fulfill his natural and his supernatural tasks and reach his natural and supernatural goals anymore.”

“So that’s why we have to resist, as Catholics and as people who are in favor of natural law, this idea of centralizing everything.”

During the interview, we also discussed why the WEF’s infamous slogan, “You’ll own nothing and be happy,” is contrary to our natural rights, why private property is so crucial in Catholic social teaching, and how Catholics can help turn our societies into Christian nations again by promoting the social kingship of Christ.

Two veiled women dumped a canister full of gasoline outside the Anne Sylvestre school in Aubervilliers, Seine-Saint-Denis, at around 11:50 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, despite being warned by an officer monitoring public roads, a police source told Valeurs actuelles.

The object, a gas cylinder for gardeners, which was used to destroy weeds, was rendered harmless. The suspects claimed that the cylinder had been leaking in their car and that they had left it outside on the advice of the fire brigade. The trio were taken into police custody for possession and transport of dangerous goods.

A third of Africa’s gorillas, bonobos and chimpanzees are at risk because they live in areas that overlap with mining operations for metals critical to the global clean energy transition.

Nearly 180,000 great apes in Africa are under threat as mining activities drive deforestation, according to a study published on Wednesday in Science Advances.

It’s okay. I’m sure the apes will understand.

Their sacrifice will make it possible for government employees in bedroom communities in Fairfax, VA to commute to work in a luxury SUV EV to D.C. where they can then figure out how to raise costs on the middle class even more.

It’s a beautiful evolutionary cycle of life in which gorillas must die to make way for Teslas. Every time a chimpanzee dies, a Rivian will roar and when a bonobo goes down, a Mercedes with one of those logo lights in the door handles that sounds like a spaceship will emerge on the showroom floor.

Environmentalists used to think that we had to protect nature. Then they stopped protecting nature and focused on their true love, destroying affordability of consumer good and services for the working class and middle class.

Going green now means taking away shopping bags, gas stoves, and cars. And also killing gorillas.

But to paraphrase the great New York Times journalist Walter Duranty, “You can’t make green energy without killing gorillas.”

And since the environmentalists are saving the planet for the gorillas by killing the gorillas to make electric cars, it’s all in a good cause.
