Violence among young foreigners is skyrocketing. And according to the German Federal Criminal Police Office, this is because their homes are not comfortable enough …

Nosta Lgia

The figures that Interior Minister Nancy Faeser will officially present tomorrow are dramatic! Crime committed by foreigners in Germany is out of control. The situation is particularly dramatic in the area of juvenile delinquency committed by non-Germans. The figures were first reported by the newspaper Bild.

The number of suspected children (0 to 14 years) rose by 11,138 (plus 12 per cent). Of these, 9395 were non-German children – an increase of 30.9 per cent compared to 2022! The number of criminal non-German adolescents (14 to 18 years) rose by 31.4 per cent (plus 16,674).

The same is true for adolescents (18 to 21 years): The number of criminal foreigners in this age group rose by 27.4 per cent (plus 14,843).

In a document published by the German Federal Criminal Police Office on the causes, it is not the migrant offenders who are held responsible for the offences, but German society, which lets them live in poor conditions. The German Federal Criminal Police Office paper states: “Germany continues to have a high rate of immigration. It can be assumed that many people seeking protection have several risk factors for various offences. These include the living situation in initial reception centres …”

In other words: Because it is not cosy enough in the reception centres in Germany, migrants are more likely to become criminals …

France: The listed Notre-Dame church in Bringolo burns down

Only the strong pillars of the building, the bell tower and the stone walls of which it is made remain standing. The interior is no longer recognisable. On the night of April 8th to 9th, the Notre-Dame church in Bringolo in the Côtes d’Armor department was largely destroyed by a fierce fire. The flames, fuelled by a wind typical of this small part of Brittany, quickly spread through the roof, which collapsed when the fire brigade arrived. The cause of the fire is still unclear, firefighters told the newspaper “20 Minutes”: the entire sixteenth-century church is in danger of collapsing. www.famillechretienne.fr

Islamic State threatens terror attack on Champions League football matches

Screen shot X

A possible terrorist attack by the Islamic State (IS) on the Champions League football quarter-finals this week has security forces concerned following a social media post.

Via the Al Azaim Foundation, a media outlet responsible for spreading messages from the the terrorist group, on April 8 the IS released a picture indicating it wanted to attack the four stadiums hosting the first-leg matches, stating: “Kill them all”.

The games will be played at Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid, Emirates Stadium in London, Civitas Metropolitano, also in Madrid and Parc des Princes in Paris.

The matches are Real Madrid vs Manchester City, Arsenal vs Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund and PSG vs Barcelona.

That came after the IS-affiliated media site Sarh al-Khilafah revealed the group’s apparent plan to attack spectators at the Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund game at Munich’s Allianz Arena on March 31, although no such incident occurred.

Security services have been warning for months that Islamists want to target large gatherings and other so-called soft targets.

On March 22, the Khorasan Province branch of the IS had already struck at the Crocus Hall in Moscow, murdering 144 people and wounding 551.

Since before Christmas, many European countries have upped their terrorist-threat levels. In France, it was raised to the highest level after the Moscow attack last month.

In Spain it is at level 4, one below the maximum 5, prompting heightened surveillance and security measures. In the UK, the Security Service MI5 puts the threat level at 3 out of 5, or “substantial”, meaning an attack is deemed “likely”.

Spanish sports news outlet Marca said the Spanish interior ministry rated the threat at the Madrid matches as high-risk and that extra security had already been put in place.

A security meeting on the match on April 9 will determine if further security measures are needed.

Marca referred to the Champions League final of 2017 when the roof of Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in Wales was closed amid the threat of drone attacks.

According to the Spanish sports news outlet, there is no direct cause for concern but those attending the quarter-finals should remain vigilant.

‘She did nothing wrong but spoke the truth’: Dutch leader Geert Wilders speaks to former BJP leader Nupur Sharma, hails her as a ‘brave lady’

(Images via Getty, NDTV)

On Monday (8th April), Geert Wilders, a Dutch politician and member of parliament in the Netherlands had a telephone conversation with former Bhartiya Janata Party leader Nupur Sharma. Wilders hailed Sharma as a “symbol of freedom” and a “brave lady”.

Taking to X Geert Wilders said that the loss of freedom and legal troubles faced by Nupur Sharma over “truthful” remarks on the Islamic prophet that were derived from reliable Hadiths was “unfair”.

“Had a great talk with @NupurSharmaBJP today, she is a symbol of freedom, not only for India but for the whole free world. Her loss of personal freedom and legal troubles in the last two years are most unfair ‘cause she did nothing wrong but spoke the truth. What a brave lady!” Wilders posted.

Notably, Geert Wilders has constantly supported Nupur Sharma ever since the prophet controversy erupted in 2022. In February this year, Wilders had sent a message of support to Sharma. He also expressed his wish to meet her during his visit to India.

“I sent a personal message of support to the brave Nupur Sharma, who is threatened by Islamists for years now only for speaking the truth. Freedom-loving people all over the world should support her. I hope to meet her one day while visiting India,” the Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV) leader posted on X on 17th February.

Back in October 2022, Wilders known for his highly critical opinions on Islam supported former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma after Islamists hounded her for her remarks during a debate on Times Now.

It is pertinent to recall that Nupur Sharma had criticised Islamist Taslim Ahmed Rehmani for repeatedly using derogatory language against Sanatan Dharma and referred to Shivling as a fountain during a debate on the disputed structure at Gyanvapi in Kashi in May 2022. She questioned what he would feel if she cited passages from Islamic texts.

Mohammed Zubair, a co-founder of Alt News, cleverly removed Taslim Rehmani’s inflammatory comments and uploaded the out-of-context footage on social media to claim that she insulted the Islamic Prophet Muhammed. The severe allegations led to massive protests and riots across the nation as well as many FIRs were filed against her. The Indian government came under fire from Islamic countries which issued strong statements condemning Nupur Sharma after which she was suspended from the party.

Murderous slogans like “Gustakh-e-Rasool ki ek hi saza, sar tan se Juda, sar tan se Juda (There is only one punishment for being disrespectful to Rasool (Prophet Muhammad), their head separated from their torso, their head separated from the torso,” were raised in the streets by rabid mobs as extremists attacked and killed Hindus including Kanhaiya Lal in Rajasthan and Umesh Kolhe in Maharashtra for supporting her.

Are European Intelligence Services Conspiring Against the Right? – AfD Member Petr Bystron Is their Latest Target

We are all aware of the many allegations against Trump regarding a “Trump-Russia Collusion“. Now Europe is facing a strategically organized defamation campaign of even greater extent: NGOs with concealed ties to the state, governments and even intelligence services are collaborating to destroy all right-wing anti-globalist parties.

The latest victim of this epic scheme is Petr Bystron, spokesman on foreign affairs for the AfD (Germany’s right-wing opposition) and candidate in the German Bundestag: On March 28th, the Czech news platform Denik N revealed it had been informed that the Czech Security Information Service BIS (national intelligence agency) was in possession of a damning audio recording which proved that Bystron had been bribed by the pro-Russian network Voice of Europe. The day after, the SPIEGEL, a news outlet of the German mainstream media, confirmed the source. The SPIEGEL is well-known for its smear articles against right-wing politicians and influencers.

However, these allegations are indeed so serious that, if true, they put the integrity of the entire AfD into question.

Immediately, the heads of the party, D.r Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla, issued an ultimatum to Bystron, demanding a clear statement:

“To address all allegations conclusively and to respond appropriately from the Federal Executive Board of our party, you are requested to demand the Federal Spokespersons Dr. Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla to provide a written statement regarding the claims made against you by tomorrow, Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM.”

And he delivered.

In a now-public letter, he not only denied the allegations but provided a detailed explanation of the globalist motives behind this international defamation campaign:

“That this globalist campaign was launched in the Czech Republic is no coincidence. The government of Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala is among the strongest proponents of continuing the war in Ukraine, with the Czech arms industry being one of the biggest beneficiaries of the conflict worldwide. In the same session, the Czech government passed further sanctions against “Voice of Europe” and also approved additional ammunition purchases for Ukraine.”

Most importantly, both Bystron himself and Voice of Europe, the alleged secret Russian donor, insisted on the publication of the audio recording.

So where is it?

That… is kind of the problem. The BIS refuses to disclose the evidence. In fact, nobody outside of the BIS has ever seen or heard it. Not the media, not even the Czech government.

And yet, all national media platforms report on the scandal. Politicians from opposing parties are outraged. The vice president of the EU Commission announces: “I am convinced that what we know now is just the tip of the iceberg!”

What tip? There is not a single piece of evidence. Previous interview guests of Voice of Europe, such as Czech politician Svoboda, German politician Max Krahfeld and Italian European People’s Party lawmaker also confirmed that money was never mentioned.

“Of course not. What a question is this?” the latter told Politico. “It makes me laugh when you ask me if I got money from Russia … because I come from a very well-off family.”

There are no icebergs, just hot air – perfectly in accordance with the left’s climate alarmism.

But why would the Czech government be interested in the downfall of the AfD by discrediting Bystron?

In fact, there are many reasons: Bystron himself was born in the Czech Republic and has wielded great political influence there. In 2022, he gave an outstanding speech in Prague that moved over 100,000 people, The Gateway Pundit reported. “Freedom, freedom!” the crowd shouted back in approval.

Moreover, it is well known that the Czech government is extremely unpopular among its citizens. Largely due to its radical stance in favor of war against Russia.

The AfD has long been criticized for its “pro-Russia” views. To be fair, though, their stance is simply anti-war. Just recently, it was exposed that the German Bundeswehr had secretly planned to launch extremely destructive Taurus missiles against Russia. The AfD vehemently condemns this attack. The Gateway Pundit covered this topic.

Since Bystron’s response, AfD party leader Chrupalla has decided to let Bystron run as a candidate for the European election.

Countering Government Indoctrination in Spanish Schools

Photo: Compare Fibre on Unsplash

The decline of Spanish education, even by basic metrics like reading comprehension, has gone hand in hand with the rise of official narratives in support of the historic Left (in the case of the Civil War) and the post-modern Left (transgender ideology, etc.). It isn’t that Spanish students leave public schools propagandized but at least knowing their Marx or Derrida, it’s that they are being dumbed down and made into uncritical subjects of the existing order.

But in a country in which half of all graduating secondary students according to some polls are functionally illiterate, a former history teacher is trying to stem the tide of ignorance.

Jose Rodriguez Cuadrado is currently a local councilman for VOX in the Spanish town of Majadahonda, in the Madrid region, a position from which he has spearheaded an initiative to kindle interest in studying and countering the government’s Law of Historical Memory in schools.

The initiative brings several historical research associations together under the slogan “No one can love what he does not know,” understanding the study of Spanish history as a prerequisite for loving the country.

It has been launched online, developing history textbooks which are freely available on historiacontexto.com, together with a compilation of recommended books and studies.

These texts contradict the official public school curriculum, but they also disagree with one another, presenting clashing narratives. Rodriguez Cuadrado emphasizes that this is important and that the initiative he is a part of does not seek to indoctrinate, the way public schools presently do.

Rather, it simply allows parents and school teachers to easily find educational materials with which to enrich students’ understanding.

When asked whether he fears pressure from the government, Rodriguez Cuadrado has emphasized that, since the government’s own education law refers to the need to foster critical thinking, the above initiative cannot be outright rejected by the powers that be.

Of course, the idea that one’s political enemies hold themselves to the standard of their own language and explicit legal commitments, rather than to the ideological spirit animating those commitments, is naïve. But defending alternative history textbooks on the basis of the government’s own aim of increasing critical thought does at least pose a hurdle for the government if it ever wants to move against civic platforms like this one.

Ultimately, there needs to be a minimal canonical narrative—a basic understanding of the history and essential character—of a nation.

This initiative can serve as a starting point for putting something like that together, and should not be left in the ambiguous, liberal discourse of merely seeking to disrupt official indoctrination, and not to indoctrinate in a different direction.

Again, however, it is a good starting point.

Switzerland ‘violated human rights’ by not tackling climate change quickly enough, rules ECHR in landmark case

Nosta Lgia

National governments are infringing on citizens’ human rights by not doing enough to tackle climate change, the European Court of Human Rights has held in a landmark ruling that could have far-reaching consequences and influence climate policy across the continent.

In a highly-anticipated judgment, the Strasbourg court on Tuesday sided with a group of Swiss pensioners who brought a claim against their national government for its perceived failure to act sufficiently in reducing carbon emissions, claiming that existing climate policy was violating their human rights.

The members of the KlimaSeniorinnen group, supported by environmental campaign groups such as Greenpeace, argued that elderly citizens are particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, citing the fact that excess deaths occur more regularly among the elderly during periods of extreme heat because they are less able to regulate their body temperature.

The group also claimed that heat waves impact the mental well-being of elderly citizens more because they are less able to go outside and withstand the heat, which they argue affects their quality of life.

The association relied on Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects the general right to life, and Article 8, which guarantees the right to private and family life.

Domestic governments are obliged to take “reasonable and appropriate measures” to secure these rights, steps members of the KlimaSeniorinnen group claimed the Swiss government had not taken.

The litigation had been appealed by the group up to the top human rights court in Europe after its claim was rejected first by the Federal Administrative Court in Switzerland and then by the Federal Supreme Court, the country’s highest ruling body.

The judgment is the third of three similar cases the court was asked to consider in respect to the correlation between climate change and human rights and sets a precedent that all national courts in Council of Europe member states will be required to adhere to. It had recently dismissed the other two cases, brought by Portuguese youths and a former French mayor who had claimed their respective national governments had infringed on their human rights by not being ambitious enough with their climate targets.

The move could see governments across Europe required to take even greater measures to press on with reducing carbon emissions and pursuing a green agenda that many citizens believe is being wrongly prioritized and expedited to their own detriment.

Climate activists celebrated the ruling outside the Strasbourg court on Tuesday, accompanied by Swedish climate zealot Greta Thunberg.

“The ECHR verdict will send an important signal worldwide,” said Raphaël Mahaim, a lawyer involved in the case and a Green Party lawmaker in the Swiss parliament.
