Far-left Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf’s popularity has plummeted amid the introduction of new draconian speech restrictions, with less than three in ten supporters of his own party believing that he is doing a good job.

A survey conducted between April 9th and 12th by Norstat for The Sunday Times found that First Minister Yousaf’s net popularity among those who voted for his Scottish National Party (SNP) in the 2019 general election fell to negative seven per cent, a steep decline from January when the leftist leader had a positive popularity of net 14 per cent.

The poll, which was done after the chaotic introduction of new hate speech laws championed by Yousaf, went on to find that more supporters of his party believe that he is doing a bad job than a good job, with just 29 per cent of SNP voters approving of his performance, compared to 36 per cent who disapprove.

In terms of the Scottish public as a whole, Yousaf saw the steepest decline of any politician since Norstat’s last survey in January, with the leftist first minister (a position roughly equivalent to governor in the United States) seeing his net popularity falling dramatically by 15 points to a popularity rating of negative 32.

This puts Yousaf ahead of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who has been plagued by his own popularity struggles, by just three points.

Professor of politics at Strathclyde University and poling guru, Sir John Curtice said that the polling found that Yousaf “is deeply and increasingly unpopular”. However, Curtice questioned whether the SNP would be willing to risk replacing a second leader in as many years without an election, as it did last year to install Yousaf following the collapse of the scandal-ridden government of Nicola Sturgeon.

Should Yousaf resign after the UK general election — in which his party is expected to take a shellacking — rumours have pinned hopes on the SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn or former SNP finance secretary Kate Forbes, who previously ran for the top gig but was sidelined in favour of Yousaf in large part over her expressing Catholic convictions during the leadership contest.

The embarrassing polling for Yousaf came in the week after the Hate Crime Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 came into effect after years of debate. The rollout of the new speech restrictions, which criminalise the vaguely-worded offence of “stirring up hatred” against several protected classes of people, such as ethnic minorities or the so-called LGBT community. Those who violate the law face up to seven years in prison.

In a humiliating turn of events for Yousaf, many Scotts have reported him to the police for allegedly violating the law over his BLM-inspired parliamentary rant, in which he decried that Scotland — a nearly 96 per cent white country — had too many white people in positions of authority.

Despite reportedly receiving more complaints than Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling for her public declaration that several high-profile transgender individuals were men, the police said that they would not investigate Yousaf or log the speech as a “non-crime hate incident”.

Amid the deluge of complaints against the first minister, Police Scotland has reportedly produced a script for officers to tell members of the public trying to log a complaint against Yousaf.

“There was no malice or ill will towards any person or group displayed in anything said, and so it does not meet the threshold to be recorded as a non-crime hate incident,” the script says according to The Telegraph.

For his part, Yousaf has tried to claim that the only people outraged over his infamous “white” rant were either racist or “part of the far right”.

However, Tory Member of Scottish Parliament Sharon Dowey said: “It’s a measure of how farcical Humza Yousaf’s hate crime law is that police officers have effectively been given a script on how to respond to the flood of complaints made against the First Minister under the very legislation that he piloted and introduced.”

Turkish-born SPD politician Aydan Özoğuz, two of whose brothers are being monitored by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution for Islamist activities, proves once again that the AfD politician Björn Höcke was right in his assessment: Not only can the Islam and SPD functionary not recognise any German culture apart from the German language. In a tweet, she blames the Iranian attack on Israel. Höcke is right: this woman really has no place in this country.

SPD functionary Aydan Özoğuz, who has been entrusted with the post of Vice President of the German Parliament, has attracted a lot of “unpleasant” attention in the past: Not only did she speak out against the general ban on child marriages in 2017 together with her comrade, the then Minister of Justice Heiko Maas, in her role as the Merkel government’s integration commissioner.
A short time before that, she demanded that German citizens renegotiate their coexistence with immigrants from other cultures, who are pouring into this country in large numbers, on a daily basis: “Our society will continue to become more diverse, which will also be exhausting and sometimes painful. Our coexistence must be renegotiated on a daily basis”.

In the debate about a German Leitkultur, Özoğuz, who is of Turkish descent and whose two brothers are being monitored by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution for Islamist activities, remarked in an article for the left-wing newspaper Tagesspiegel that a specifically German culture “beyond language is simply not identifiable”.

Björn Höcke acknowledged this insult to millions and millions of Germans in his book ” Never twice in the same river. Björn Höcke in conversation with Sebastian Hennig”, Björn Höcke responded to the socialist’s statement with: “However, anyone who, like Ms Özuguz, cannot even recognise a specific German culture beyond the language and then unabashedly uses German taxpayers’ money to finance a chic life really has no place in our country.” (Fact check on Boris Morgenstern’s book here). Höcke was therefore accused of racism during the legendary TV debate.

Now Ms Özoğuz has once again caused outrage among those who have lived here for a long time and are not characterised by a disgusting hatred of Israel and anti-Semitism. On X, the comrade commented on the Iranian missile attack on Israel. However, the sister of the two Islamists did not condemn it, but instead blamed Israel in her post, which has since been deleted:

“Why did this situation still have to be provoked? Bombing the Iranian embassy has further jeopardised the Middle East,” she said in her anti-Israeli rant:

The responses to her appalling perpetrator-victim reversal, which is common in her culture, followed promptly: “Shabby. Unworthy of a Vice-President of the German Bundestag. That’s what Ms Özoğuz thinks of when Iran attacks one of our closest allies, Israel,” criticised CDU member of parliament Matthias Hauer. You should resign, Mrs @oezoguz! The Vice President (!) of the Bundestag writes an extremely shabby tweet, deletes it and then blandly justifies the deletion with the comments. A severe gaffe by Ms #Oezoguz that should have consequences,” added the CDU member, whose party made such personalities a reality in the first place with its disastrous migration policy. Joana Cotar, a member of the German Parliament, wrote on X: “If Israel’s security is indeed the raison d’être of the German state, Mrs #Özoğuz will no longer be #VicePresident of the Bundestag next week. If she is, it shows once again how hypocritical German politics is under the traffic light coalition. #Israel #Iran”

She cowardly deleted her post after heavy criticism and wrote: “In such a heated situation, all the comments show that everyone here is also attacking each other. That’s why I deleted my post. The war is bad enough.”

The magazine Nius reports on Özoğuz’s nephew. German intelligence is monitoring an extreme organization led by Raheem Boateng, 26, who opposes Israel and advocates for the establishment of a Muslim caliphate; He has attracted tens of thousands of Western followers online

At just 26 years old, Raheem Boateng is already the intellectual leader of a radical Muslim group in Hamburg that greatly concerns the German security authorities. Since the beginning of the Gaza war, Boateng and his group’s influence have been steadily increasing. They have hundreds of active followers who attend conferences and lectures, supporting the idea of ​​establishing an Islamic caliphate in Germany.

Officials who are monitoring the group refer to its followers as “pop-Islamists,” indicating they are seemingly ordinary Germans navigating their way confidently through social media landscapes, dressing in modern Western style, are familiar with every word in the hip-hop scene, and drive sports cars.

The Federal Criminal Intelligence Service (BKA in German) and Hamburg’s security services claim that this organization is the face of Hizb ut-Tahrir, an organization whose activities have been banned in Germany since 2003. Boateng, who converted to Islam in 2015, has recently increased his exposure on social media, exploiting the month of Ramadan to showcase its importance to his viewers on YouTube and Instagram, along with his messages of hatred and incitement against Israel.

According to an officer in the Hamburg police, the local police are aware of the group’s meetings and the content presented in them, including the anti-Israel rhetoric. However, the police’s hands are tied because Boateng’s organization is not operating outside the law.

Boateng is considered a magnet for young Islamists looking for direction in life. He is active on all social networks, especially on TikTok and Instagram, where their minds are being shaped, where he exploits his exposure to present himself as a Western German until he reveals the purpose of Islam and Sharia law.

According to German internal security, Boateng has tens of thousands of followers on social media, and the number of young people attending his weekly meetings has grown from dozens to hundreds since October 7. Surprisingly, according to officials, the majority of the guests attending the meetings are non-religious young people, who dress secularly.

The SPD has been engaged in a self-imposed “fight against the political far right” for years. But when it comes to Turkish right-wing extremists, the Social Democrats are apparently happy to turn a blind eye. At least that is what the latest events from Filderstadt in the state of Baden-Württemberg suggest: first an SPD member of the Bundestag is criticised for visiting an association belonging to the “Grey Wolves”. Now it is also becoming known that three people who are currently standing as candidates for the SPD in local council and district council elections come from a Turkish right-wing extremist background.

Specifically, they are Gülten Ilbay, Hasan Arslan and Müesser K. According to research by the newspaper Welt, they all have connections to the same organisation where SPD member of parliament Nils Schmid and the entire local leadership of the Social Democrats were guests at a fast-breaking event: the Filderstadt German-Turkish Friendship Association. The name may sound harmless at first, but the association belongs to the Federation of Turkish-Democratic Idealist Associations in Germany (ADÜTDF) – also known as the “Grey Wolves”.

And that’s not the only thing: according to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, the German-Turkish Friendship Association is one of the most active members of the same umbrella organisation and regularly publishes “its commemoration of Turkish right-wing extremist masterminds” online “as a commitment to Turkish right-wing extremist ideology”.

The connection to the organisation and the fact that all three SPD candidates can be seen in the photo with Nils Schmid breaking the fast is not the only thing that incriminates them. According to Welt, there are a total of 10 photos of 47-year-old Gülten Ilbay – who is running for the Filderstadt SPD in 14th position on the list for the municipal elections – in which she shows the wolf salute, a symbol of recognition and identification of the Turkish nationalists.

There are also pictures in the background showing, among others, MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli – the leader of the Grey Wolves party. The pictures were published between June 2018 and December 2023 by the German-Turkish Friendship Association Filderstadt.

Another photo of the association shows Hasan Arslan, who is running for the SPD in 25th position on the list for the local council elections and ninth position on the list for the district council elections. The 47-year-old poses with two other men in front of a flag with three white crescents – the logo of the MHP. According to Welt, the same flag is also hanging in the background of a photo showing Müesser K. – SPD candidate in the local council election in 30th place on the list.

The Grey Wolves are an ultra-nationalist organisation in Turkey that has followers all over the world. In Germany, the organisation is said to have 10,000 sympathisers. One of the best known is probably former national player Mesut Özil. A few weeks ago, he flaunted a tattoo of the Grey Wolves’ coat of arms on Instagram. The organisation is particularly hostile towards Kurds, Alevis and Jews.

This is not the actual Iranian attack.

This is the ‘attack’ prearranged for show between Iran and the Biden administration through backchannels.

It’s an attack that allows Iran to show off that it can reach Israel (look at those lights over the Temple Mount) without inflicting any real damage.

The Biden administration has already made it clear that it will oppose any Israeli response. There will be public condemnations and warnings about escalating the conflict further.

So does that mean it’s over? No.

Iran did burn up some resources doing this, but apart from the morale boost of doing it, it set out to test US and Israeli  defenses. And the defenses did what they were supposed to.

However had Iran actually been trying to launch a serious attack, it would have used its Hezbollah, Houthi, Iraqi, and whatever is left of its Hamas proxies to saturate local air defenses.

The Oct 7 attacks, planned by an Iranian IRGC general who was killed in the Israeli strikes on a terror target in Damascus, carefully analyzed Israel’s border and air defenses, its infrastructure, command and control in search of weaknesses to exploit. And did so effectively. That is what a serious attack would have done. And this was not it.

So what will Iran do next?

Iran is not currently ready for a regional war and it prefers to use its proxies to do its dirty work for it until that day comes. Oct 7 was an example of that, so were the Houthi attacks on shipping in the Red Sea and the Iraqi Shiite attacks on a U.S. base in Jordan that killed three servicemembers.

But Iran will do things beyond this light show which was largely meant to reassure the Biden administration that its “diplomatic tools” have successfully solved the problem. That’s an illusion that Iran has used to allow it to build up its nuclear weapons program, to sow dragon’s teeth around the region and to cut off international shipping at will.

The Iranian regime knows that America could destroy it. It also learned under Obama that its greatest defense is convincing D.C. elites that diplomacy will successfully deescalate any conflicts with the regime.

By starting a crisis and then allowing itself to be talked into standing down a little bit, before beginning the cycle again, Iran has been able to expand its sphere of influence without paying a price. It will strike more seriously, but it will do so in a way that will allow it to go on manipulating its diplomatic collaborators in D.C. and building power in the region.

Let us be clear — consuming insect-based foods comes with health risks.  These risks are primarily related to food safety and the presence of allergens or toxins in some insects.

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has highlighted several food safety issues associated with edible insects.  These concerns include:

Pathogens: Insects can harbor bacteria, viruses, and parasites, which can risk human health if not properly handled or cooked.

Allergens: Some insects contain allergens that can cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

Toxins: Certain insects may contain toxins that can be harmful if consumed in large amounts.

Insects can contain allergens that may trigger allergic reactions in some individuals.  These reactions can range from mild to severe, depending on the individual’s sensitivity and the amount of insect consumed.  Allergic reactions can manifest as skin rashes, itching, or swelling, or, in severe cases, anaphylaxis, which requires immediate medical attention.

Moreover, some insects are known to contain toxins that can be harmful to human health.  These toxins can affect various systems in the body, including the nervous, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.  Symptoms of toxin exposure can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and coma or death.

Now enter billionaires with sinister motives.  At the forefront is none other than Bill Gates, who is relentlessly plotting to manipulate the world’s food supply, pushing for the consumption of insects and alternative proteins while buying large amounts of American farmland.

Gates, co-founder of Microsoft and a prominent figure in the so-called philanthropic sector, advocates for a diet of insects and, through his foundation and investments, works toward a future where traditional livestock is replaced by insect-based foods.  All these can be traced back to Gates’s foundation’s investment in All Things Bugs, LLC, a company aiming to develop nutrient-dense food using insect species.

Bill Gates’s agenda-driven interest in sustainable food solutions is not limited to insects.  He has also invested in cultured meat, a lab-grown alternative to traditional beef, which has received $50 million in funding.  Gates’s investments and advocacy for his so-called sustainable food solutions are part of a sinister effort operating under cover of addressing global challenges, including climate change and food security.  His property acquisitions, including farmland in North Dakota and Texas, have only added fuel to speculations about his intentions, and these actions are likely part of a larger strategy to take our food away and make us eat insects.

Then we have Klaus Schwab and his “Great Reset” plot to destroy capitalism and enact a one-world government under the cover of COVID-19 and other agendas.  Schwab founded the WEF with the help of Henry Kissinger and is actively supported by King Charles.  Schwab likely established his ties with other influential American advocates of globalization through Kissinger’s International Seminar, which the CIA funded with $135,000.  The global elite led by Schwab used the “pandemic” opportunity to roll out radical policies, such as forced vaccination, digital ID cards, and the renunciation of private property.  The sinister agenda of the World Economic Forum (WEF) becomes evident from the fact that the unelected Schwab has served as the WEF’s chairman since its inception.

In the meantime, we hear about billionaires buying bunkers and islands as if prepping for an apocalypse.  The truth is that land acquisitions in Hawaii by billionaires displace local communities, raising concerns about mirroring a modern twist on feudalism.  Ultimately, these billionaires aren’t just waiting for the apocalypse, but actively shaping their own self-sufficient, controlled environments while we can survive on the insect food they produce.

I rest my case with a summary of the points regarding the risks of eating insects:

Allergic Reactions: Some people may have allergic reactions to insects, similar to allergies to shellfish or shrimp, due to the presence of chitin in their exoskeletons.

Microorganisms and Pathogens: Insects can harbor pathogens on their surface, in their gut, and as part of their reproductive cycle.  The full scope of the microbiota of edible insects is unknown, as is whether these extrinsic pathogens may be harmful if eaten.  Cooking may not kill them, either.

Biological and Chemical Contaminants: Insects grown on agricultural waste may be exposed to mycotoxins, pesticides, and other chemical hazards like toxic metals and dioxins.  High lead levels have been found in dried grasshoppers, leading to elevated blood lead levels in humans.

Processing Risks: When heated or cooked, the chemical-thermal reactions with the toxins on their shells or within their guts can release toxic compounds that accumulate in the protein meal.

The future of food is definitely at stake, and billionaires and their vast wealth continue to influence food systems in concerning ways.

 A climate expert has taken aim against what he calls “weather porn” – images and stories meant to convey a false impression that the world is on the brink of cataclysmic climate disaster – in order to force unnecessary policy changes by governments across the globe that will destroy prosperity and kill, not save, human lives.

In a series of recent opinion pieces and social media posts, Bjorn Lomborg, author, president of the Copenhagen Consensus, and a visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution, continues to call attention to the extreme measures being demanded by climate change activists and politicians who seek to inflict policies that are far more harmful than helpful.

“Watching the news, you get the sense that climate change is making the planet unlivable. We are bombarded with images of floods, droughts, storms and wildfires,” wrote Lomborg in his recent newsletter. “But this impression is wildly misleading and makes it harder to get climate change policy right. Data show climate-related events like floods, droughts, storms and wildfires aren’t killing more people.”

“Quite the contrary. Over the past decade, climate-related disasters have killed 98% fewer people than a century ago,” said Lomborg. “If we want to achieve fewer disaster deaths, we should promote prosperity, adaptation, and resilience. But when we are inundated with ‘weather porn’ and miss the fact that deaths have dropped precipitously, we end up focusing on the least effective policies first.”

‘Six billion deaths in less than a year’

In an op-ed published by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Lomborg described what would happen if climate alarmists were to suddenly get their way:

The world still gets four-fifths of its energy from fossil fuels, because renewable sources rarely provide good alternatives. Half the world’s population entirely depends on food grown with synthetic fertilizer produced almost entirely by natural gas. If we rapidly ceased using fossil fuels, four billion people would suddenly be without food.

Add the billions of people dependent on fossil-fuel heating in the winter, along with our dependence on fossil fuels for steel, cement, plastics and transportation, and it is no wonder that one recent estimate by economist Neil Record showed an abrupt end to fossil fuel use would cause six billion deaths in less than a year.

Global elites have made it clear that they have judged the world to be vastly overpopulated, and have set for themselves a goal of reducing the world’s total population to just 500 million people. An “abrupt end to fossil fuel use” would come very close to achieving their utopian anti-human goal.

“Why is the environmental movement stewarded over by murderous, human-hating wackos who desire to see billions of people die?” asked James Corbett of the Corbett Report last month.

Not mincing words, Corbett continued: “Because the conservation movement (and all of the mainstream environmental organizations that grew out of that movement) was pioneered by murderous, human-hating eugenicists and funded by the eugenicist royals who wanted to keep their beautiful natural vistas clear of the riff-raff scurrying around beneath them.”

“Why do nation after nation appear to be in a race to the bottom, implementing policies that will actively hinder the productivity of their own populations and making it more and more difficult for those on the lowest rung of the economic ladder to eke out a subsistence living on the corporate-governmental fascist plantation that we call the developed world?” wondered Corbett.

“And why is it now increasingly in vogue for governments to offer “medically assisted dying” as their “solution” to the strain and stress of this deliberately degraded world? Because those same governments are stewarded over by elitist eugenicists who hate you and want you dead.”

‘Follow the science’ obscures truth, allows for the promotion of dangerous policies

Lomborg has said that the constant refrain of “follow the science” allows politicians to “obscure and avoid responsibility for lopsided climate-policy trade-offs.”

“More than one million people die in traffic accidents globally each year. Overnight, governments could solve this entirely man-made problem by reducing speed limits everywhere to 3 miles an hour, but we’d laugh any politician who suggested it out of office,” wrote Lomborg in his WSJ piece.

“It would be absurd to focus solely on lives saved if the cost would be economic and societal destruction,” said the climate expert. “Yet politicians widely employ the same one-sided reasoning in the name of fighting climate change. It’s simply a matter, they say, of ‘following the science.’”

Draconian net-zero climate policies are, according to Lomborg, prohibitively costly.

Recent peer-reviewed climate-economic research shows the total cost “will average $27 trillion each year across the century, reaching $60 trillion a year in 2100.”

“Net zero is more than seven times as costly as the climate problem it tries to address,” yet this is precisely what the Biden administration is hoping to achieve by 2050.

Outgoing U.S. climate chief John Kerry, one of the chief purveyors of “weather porn,” suggested recently that if climate change is not quickly addressed, we face planetary destruction “beyond comprehension.”

UN climate change executive secretary Simon Stiell issued a similarly ominous if not shrill warning on X this week: “We have two years to save the world,” and therefore, “starting now, we need a quantum leap in climate finance [and] Bold new national climate plans by all nations.”

Lomborg fired back on X, dismissing the UN climate honcho’s hyperbolic claims.

“Some of the most popular climate policies will have costs far greater than climate change itself. When politicians try to shut down discussion with claims that they’re ‘following the science,’” concluded Lomborg in the pages of the WSJ.

For the first time in the State of Israel’s history, Iran has begun a direct attack on Israel, launching dozens of UAVs towards the Jewish state, US reports said.

A UAV launched from Iran would reach Israel in approximately nine hours, while a cruise missile would take two hours to reach Israel, and a ballistic missile would take ten minutes.

The Prime Minister’s plane took off shortly before Iran launched its attack, for unknown reasons.

An IDF spokesperson confirmed: “A short time ago, Iran launched UAVs from its territory towards the State of Israel’s territory.”

“The IDF is on high alert and is constantly monitoring the operational situation. The aerial defense system is on high alert, alongside the IAF planes and Navy ships, who are tasked with protecting Israel’s skies.

“The IDF is following all of the targets.

“We ask the public to obey and follow the Home Front Command’s guidelines, and the official notifications of the IDF on this matter.”

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari stressed, “Iran has launched unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from its territory toward the State of Israel. A trans-identified man and diaper fetishist in Canada who identifies as “non-binary” has won his legal case against the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) to have them pay for an experimental surgery that would leave him with both his penis and a “neo-vagina.” Ontario taxpayers will now be forced to spend up to $70,000 flying him to Texas for the surgery due to its unavailability in Canada.

The man, 33, was simply identified as KS in the lawsuit, and made international headlines last week after Ontario’s Divisional Court began deliberating on whether he was entitled to have an “penis-preserving vaginoplasty” covered by the province’s public health scheme.

This week, the court ruled 3-0 that KS was entitled to have the surgery funded by the taxpayer after finding that the province had incorporated standards written by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) into its health insurance law. These international standards endorse radical “gender affirming” surgeries far beyond the scope of Canadian surgical guidance, including castration.

Reduxx has now learned that KS celebrated the result on a Reddit board dedicated to “bigenital” people, revealing his social media handles and providing insight into the man behind the lawsuit.

On Reddit, KS describes himself as a “non-binary disability advocate” and stated he may go offline at times due to suffering with bipolar disorder. As well as documenting his pursuit to obtain both a penis and a “vagina,” KS also regularly posts about his mental health issues and sexual fetishes.

In one post, KS asked the asexual community whether his lack of sex drive could be a result of depression and bipolar disorder.

“Like what if I felt better about myself? What if I wasn’t depressed 24/7? Would that be there? Is it because it’s muted? I have no idea. I have no way to know. I just struggle with these thoughts all the time. I have been depressed almost every single day since I was like 5 years old,” he wrote.

In another post, he asks if his sexual dysfunctions could be a side-effect or symptom of bipolar or the medication he is on. KS has also speculated about being schizophrenic in addition to having bipolar disorder.

As well as identifying as non-binary, KS also identifies as a “transgender baby” and a “little” who is attracted to diapers. In one post, he reveals that his bedroom is fashioned to look like that of an 8-year-old girl, and that he experiences spells where he is “obsessed” with incontinence.

Approximately 4 years ago, KS proposed a suggestive “moral conundrum” asking whether it would be ethical to seek government assistance after becoming voluntarily incontinent to the point of no longer being able to work.

KS also asked in the subreddit r/Incontinence if it was safe for him to have genital surgery if he suffers from incontinence, revealing that he also has Irritable Bowel Syndrome and sometimes defecates on himself.

KS has also expressed suicidal ideations, severe trauma as a result of childhood abuse, and how he was struggling to get adequate mental health support.

“I [don’t] know how else to say it… I really, truly need to die. I wish there was another way, but like…I am not able to take care of myself, or vouch for myself, and I’m just needlessly suffering… It’s been like that forever. I am physically and mentally suffering, and only people with advocates can get mental health treatment. My Np knew how I feel for ages… No one does anything. Literally no one [in real life] actually cares,” he wrote.

“I just am tired of being sick and going without treatment… I used to be full blown crazy, but like, now I’m just lonely. I have never had a partner or a real relationship or a family that loved me… no, just abused as a child and then now as an adult… I live alone and sadly that’s safer for me… they threaten me, so I can’t be near them… I just hate that I need to die, but that’s it, there’s nothing else I have the power to do…”

Despite his self-reported mental health issues, KS sought out genital surgery in the US, seeking a vaginoplasty without a penectomy in a clinic in Texas.

In June 2022, he applied to have the surgery covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP), but OHIP denied his funding request. At the time, OHIP concluded that a vaginoplasty without penectomy is not an approved procedure in the Schedule of Benefits.

KS appealed the decision and the Health Services Appeal and Review Board granted his appeal. In a decision referring to him by feminine pronouns, the board argued that “[KS] is non-binary and having her penis removed would invalidate her non-binary identity” and that removal of his penis would leave him with orgasm dysfunction and was risky due to his pre-existing incontinence.

However, OHIP fought the boards appeal, presenting three arguments. They argued that vaginoplasty without a penectomy was not specifically listed as a service they fund, that the surgery was experimental, and that it did not meet the requirements for out-of-country coverage.

OHIP stated in their original denial letter that they would cover a vaginoplasty, but that a vaginoplasty by definition included a penectomy. During the appeal, they submitted evidence from Dr. Yonah Krakowsky, a leading vaginoplasty surgeon in Toronto, who argued that all of the methods used to perform a vaginoplasty in Canada involved the removal of the penis.

A prominent LGBT organisation in Canada, Egale Canada, also supported KS’s case. In a written submission to the court, they argued that such surgeries can profoundly improve a person’s quality of life and health-care providers shouldn’t assume what surgeries are medically necessary.

The superior court of Justice in Ontario’s Divisional court upheld the boards decision in April 2024. “I find the Board was correct to find that a vaginoplasty without an accompanying penectomy is a ‘specifically listed’ service in the Schedule of Benefits.” The decision read.

Based on the courts decision, OHIP are required to both fund the surgery and cover KS’s legal costs at a fixed cost of $20,000.
