The next “isolated incident”: migrant group sexuell abuses two girls in Salzburg, Austria

The nightmare continues: Vienna is still in shock after the serial abuse of a schoolgirl (12) by a 17-member multicultural gang. Then the next incident comes to light: two young girls from Salzburg were abused. The suspects are again young, migrant and at large.
The two female victims are 15 and 16 years old. They are said to have been massively sexually abused by a group of nine migrants. Two of the alleged perpetrators were also recording on their mobile phones.
This sounds familiar: Something similar happened in Vienna last year, when 17 migrant youths severely abused a girl in car parks, stairwells and a rented hotel room and filmed it.
The accused are between 15 and 18 years old and come from immigrant families. They are Turks, Serbs or Austrians with a migration background. As the newspaper “Salzburger Nachrichten” reports, the crime took place last year, shortly after Christmas, on the night of December 26th. The nine youths – eight boys and one girl – committed serious sexual abuse against two schoolgirl friends in Bischofshofen.

The alleged perpetrators and their victims were acquainted. The younger girl from Salzburg (15) was alone with her older friend (16) in her parents’ flat. The eight boys had come round “to chill out” – but that turned into more than that. The multicultural gang was obviously up to no good.
The boys had taken “hard alcoholic drinks” with them, which were now consumed, including vodka in particular. Within a very short time, the two women from Salzburg are said to have been very drunk. At least four to five of the male youths then allegedly assaulted the defenceless girls. There is talk of “coitus” and “sexual intercourse”. At least two teenagers also made mobile phone videos of the whole incident.

These recordings are now important pieces of evidence. They show two sleepy girls who are barely able to react and are being massively abused at the same time.

In the meantime, both victims have testified separately in court. Their alleged tormentors are also at large this time. The criminal proceedings against them are primarily being conducted for the offence of “sexual abuse of a defenceless and mentally impaired person” (Section 205 of the German Criminal Code).

Spain’s extra €20 million for UNRWA will ‘support Hamas’

Spain said it would provide an extra €20 million to UNRWA, the UN organisation for Palestinian refugees, despite controversial reports about the organisation.

Jake Wallis Simons, editor of weekly The Jewish Chronicle, told Brussels Signal it was “obviously not a good idea” to give millions of euros to UNRWA.

“UNRWA is not set up to care for refugees but serves as a mechanism to delegitimise Israel,” he insisted.

“For Spain to fund UNRWA is to support and enable Hamas,” he claimed, as they “work against any kind of peace, and not for the wellbeing of refugees or security of Palestinians nor any real two-state solution”.

UNRWA is facing a financial crisis as a result of funding-suspensions by numerous countries after credible allegations that a number of its employees were involved in the October 7 attacks by Hamas terrorists on Israel.

Israel said UNRWA employs more than 450 terrorists and the agency admitted it feared Hamas militants were able to store munitions on its premises.

That has not stopped European countries giving more money to UNRWA to help Palestinian civilians.

On March 7, the progressive Spanish Government announced it would provide an additional €20 million to the UN refugee agency in Gaza.

That came days after the European Commission said it would pay a first tranche of €50 million out of the €82 million foreseen for UNRWA for 2024.

The EC said it “took account of the action taken by the UN and the commitments the Commission required from UNRWA”, and was happy with the results.

The same is now true for Spain. During a joint press appearance in Madrid with UNRWA Director Philippe Lazzarini, Spain’s foreign minister Jose Manuel Albares announced the additional funds.

“We will make a new contribution of €20 million to UNRWA to support the organisation in its crucial humanitarian work in Gaza and to provide the food, education and health needs of the nearly six million Palestinian refugees in the region,” he said.

Lazzarini expressed the hope that Spain’s action would persuade countries that had cut off funding for the organisation to reinstate such.

Additionally, he reiterated his demand that additional aid be permitted to enter Gaza through the Israeli border.

“Today we do not have the meaningful, at scale, uninterrupted humanitarian assistance reaching the people in Gaza in desperate need of assistance,” he said.

“The simple answer would be the political will to open the road crossing and to have daily, at scale, convoys and flow of humanitarian assistance going into the Gaza Strip.”

Israel’s defence minister Yoav Gallant publicised in February the names of 12 UNRWA employees that Israel said it had discovered were involved in the October 7 incident.

The Israel Defence Forces shared public audio recordings that implicated two further UNRWA employees. One is allegedly hears telling a friend in Gaza that he had caught a “sabaya”, a term used by Islamic State jihadists to mean “sex slave”.

Wallis Simons pointed out that the Palestinian refugee situation was “unique in the world”, occurring over generations and resulting in a situation where today there are more Palestinian refugees than before Palestinian and Israeli troubles began.

There are around four million Palestinian “refugees”, some seemingly financially well-off, while previously there were only 700,000 such Palestinians in region, he said.

“They are not displaced people but their descendants. If Jewish people used the same measure, every Jewish person on the planet would be a refugee.

“UNRWA has unique guidelines, it is a weaponised organisation, aimed to take away the legitimacy of Israel and is run by Palestinians who are politically motivated, it is a tool of the Palestinian movement,” Wallis Simons claimed.

“It is not focused on human rights – and Hamas terrorists were working with UNRWA.”

According to Wallis Simons, it is even understandable that, within Gaza, the agency has to work with Hamas. “You can’t do much without them. But nonetheless, it is still infiltrated by Hamas,” he said.

“A few weeks ago, a big data centre was discovered under the UNRWA headquarters, which requires a massive organisation, UNRWA claimed to have no idea of this, but that is very unlikely.

Asked about how European countries should support the Palestinian civilians, Wallis Simons said that was “difficult”.

“The people need aid because of the war that was launched by Hamas. But there are other agencies.”

He noted that before the October 7 attacks, different countries had different policies, with some making clear and effective efforts to ensure Hamas did not benefit.

“The solution begins with not supporting UNRWA. Everything is in flux, no one knows what the situation will be like after the war.

“At the moment, the distribution of aid is problematic, and there is a lot of chaos,” Wallis Simons said.

He added that he believed one way forward could lie with local Gazans, with clans and families taking responsibility, and having some Arab countries involved and a reformed Palestinian Authority.

As bad as the current situation is, that might provide an opportunity to create a new reality and work towards peace, he said.

But, he insisted: “Supporting Hamas is the opposite of this, Hamas does not want a two-state solution, they want jihad and constant warfare.

“Countries like Spain and the European Union should find other ways to support Palestine, in line with peace,” Wallis Simons concluded.

Moroccan who beat German teen to death during football tournament is spared jail

The victim Paul P., photo private

A 17-year-old Moroccan footballer who beat a German teen to death during a football tournament last year has avoided being sent to prison.

The perpetrator was an associate of the French football club FC Metz’s Performance Program when his side competed in the Germany Cup, an under-17s international tournament held in Frankfurt last spring.

On May 28, a brawl ensued during one of the fixtures which resulted in the Moroccan national punching his young German opponent, Paul P., to the ground. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene when the victim did not regain consciousness and he was rushed to hospital after falling into a coma.

“The 15-year-old died in the hospital from the consequences of his severe brain injuries,” the public prosecutor confirmed a few days later.

The victim’s football team described Paul as “an extraordinary young person” who “embodied the spirit of BFC with every fiber of his heart and soul.”

The Moroccan perpetrator was charged with “bodily injury resulting in death” and served nine months in pre-trial detention at a juvenile facility in Germany as he awaited a trial that was held behind closed doors due to his age.

On Thursday, a Frankfurt court handed down a suspended two-year prison sentence, meaning he will be released from custody immediately.

The prosecution had requested an immediate custodial sentence of two years and three months for the attack resulting in the death of the German teen.

“He is now free and can go to any country he wants, but he must inform the Frankfurt court every month of what he is doing,” court spokesperson Daniel Trosch told AFP. “He admitted the facts and said he regretted them,” he added.

Violence during football matches in Germany has become a regular occurrence in recent years.

In October last year, one football club that prides itself on recruiting players with a migration background terminated the membership of three team members after players and fans of the club rioted during a league match and physically assaulted the referee and opposition players.

And in August, a football coach was hospitalized after being attacked by an 18-year-old footballer he had kicked off the team who had rounded up a 40-strong migrant mob to beat him up outside a Berlin café.

CANADA: Transgender Pedophile Arrested for Child Pornography Advocated For Childhood “Transitioning”

A trans-identified male and “recidivist pedophile” residing in Quebec has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography for the second time. Krystel Lauzon, 39 of Val-David, was detained on January 11 after officers from the provincial police force’s Internet Sexual Exploitation of Children Investigation Team conducted a search of his residence and his computer was seized for forensic analysis.

While details on the case are limited, it is known that this is not Lauzon’s first run-in with the police for child sexual exploitation material.

Danny ‘Krystel’ Lauzon. Source: Facebook

In 2020, Lauzon was arrested for the possession of child abuse materials but, due to COVID-19, there was a cessation in proceedings until 2022. He was then sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of production, distribution, and possession of child pornography. But Lauzon appears to have been released sometime before November of 2023 with conditions he quickly was found to have violated.

In the reporting of his most recent arrest, Lauzon was referred to as a “woman” by most French-language news outlets, including L’Info Du Nord and CIME Laurentides.

Reduxx has discovered several social media profiles belonging to Lauzon that contain disturbing content.

Posts shared to Lauzon’s Facebook page, where he describes himself as “a trans woman undergoing hormone therapy,” indicate that he had an obsession with a genre of pornography known as sissification, or sissy porn, which depicts men or boys being “transitioned” into young women or underage girls.

In one of the more common forms of the pornography genre, referred to as sissy captions, images typically depicting women in fetish gear or alternatively childish lace dresses are accompanied by written text suggesting that the women are biologically male. The images are seemingly designed to be disseminated widely, dodging censorship on platforms such as Facebook by avoiding the explicit use of pornography.

“You do realize that an addiction to sissy porn ends with you living as a woman, right?” reads one sissy caption shared by Lauzon in 2020. Lauzon captioned the image: “Already had it in me, but yeah, this is really what happened, lol.”

Lauzon also frequently shared images to his Facebook account depicting young women and what appear to be teenage girls in sexual poses. He also has made several posts about medically feminizing young boys.

In 2021, Lauzon supportively shared a message from Amy Fournier, a trans activist who began medical interventions at the age of 16.

“I want to say that a transition does not change your child’s mind in any way, it is only the physical that changes. He remains the same person. And I think that the only thing that should matter to a parent is seeing their child happy,” Fournier wrote, continuing: “I HAVE A PENIS AND I AM A GIRL. I was 7 years old when I realized I liked men. And I knew around 8 years old that I was different.”

As early as 2012, Lauzon himself was posting about so-called “trans kids,” calling on parents to support children who were “made in a unique way.”

In an all-caps rant, Lauzon wrote: “I WILL POST AND RE-POST AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY TO EXPLAIN THAT CHILDREN WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS ARE NOT WEIRD, CRAZY, OR SICK … THEY ONLY WANT WHAT EVERYONE ELSE WANT… TO BE ACCEPTED!! CAN I MAKE A QUESTION WILL ANYONE POST THIS MESSAGE IN HONOR OF ALL CHILDREN WHO WERE MADE IN A UNIQUE WAY. I’M GOING TO SEE WHO HAS A HEART I KNOW THE ONES WHO WILL COPY AND PASTE. WE ARE ALL HUMAN AFTER ALL…!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Disturbingly, Lauzon’s SoundCloud profile reveals that he had ‘liked’ an audio track of a child crying out in pain.

Lauzon is not the first trans-identified male to make headlines for child sex offenses in Canada since the beginning of the year.

As previously reported by Reduxx, a violent transgender sex offender in Alberta with a history of making toddler sex abuse material was released from prison in January only to be re-arrested days later on new offenses.

Laverne Travis Waskahat, 47, had an extensive history of possessing, making and publishing child pornography involving male and female infants under three years old. Waskahat had also previously committed sexual offences against children in his care and was known to take voyeuristic photos of infants in public, primarily in bathrooms at malls and grocery stores.

In Ontario, another transgender child rapist and serial sex offender, Patrick Pearsall, was recently released to a halfway house after having been detained for part of his sentence at the Milton-Vanier Centre for Women.

Pearsall, who also uses the names Tara Pearsall and Passion-Star Royale, was released in January after being convicted for preying on young girls online by impersonating a paramedic, which afforded him the opportunity to perform vaginal exams on unsuspecting victims.

John Lydon unleashes blistering take on ‘catastrophically disappointing’ Britain: ‘Seaside’s full of illegals!’

Wikimedia Commons , Wonker Wonker , CC-BY-SA-2.0

John Lydon has bemoaned the current state of “rundown” Britain and its approach to immigration ahead of his upcoming tour.

Reminiscing about his childhood going to the British seaside, Lydon has slammed the way in which “prospective immigrants” who’ve made it to UK shores have created “divisions” among local communities.

He also took aim at the government for allowing these migrants into the country “in such vast numbers” due to the “animosity” the influx has sparked.

“Britain today is so, so catastrophically disappointing,” Lydon began in a recent interview. “A lot of this tour that I’m doing will be in seaside towns and they really indicate how rundown Britain has become.

“Those used to be fantastic places when I was a kid – mum and dad would drag us off there for what felt like hours in a traffic jam but it was absolutely great.

“It was working-class people throwing sand at each other, it was excellent. The environment was economically thriving, I suppose… it was vibrant.”

Turning his attention to nowadays, Lydon continued: “(Now) it seems to be full of what they term prospective immigrants, which are really like illegals not being cared for properly.

“But then they shouldn’t have been accepted in such vast numbers because it’s created a real animosity in communities.

“The division when you import so many people with a different point of view – they’re not going to adapt to yours, they’re going to stay and bring the problems that they’re allegedly escaping from with them.”

When quizzed on his own Irish heritage by LBC presenter Andrew Marr, Lydon replied: “The first thing my mum and dad would ever tell me when I was very young was, ‘You’re British now, be British and be proud of it!’ Most excellent advice and I followed through.”

Lydon’s remarks have since been viewed thousands of times on X, formerly Twitter, with many applauding the Sex Pistols star for his honest account.

GB News star Martin Daubney was just one fan who praised: “A reminder why John Lydon is one of the Greatest Living Britons.”

A second X user penned: “John Lydon spoke the truth on @LBC, the plain truth. Telling the truth IS punk these days. He’s got more balls than most!!”

“Could you please point out the bit where he was wrong?” a third questioned before a fourth simply put: “He’s 100% correct.”

German: SPD politician declares Muslim fast-breaking a German tradition

Helge Lindh, Wikimedia Commons , photothek.net, CC-BY-4.0

The Social Democrat politician Helge Lindh has labelled Eid, which traditionally marks the end of the Muslim fasting period, as one of the “most important religious festivals in Germany today”. The self-proclaimed “Datteldude” smiles into the camera and wishes his Muslim fellow citizens “wonderful delights”. The holiday greetings are part of the standard repertoire of the member of the German parliament, who repeatedly posts the short videos online on certain occasions.
The reactions of the online community are very varied. Some congratulate and thank Lindh for his open words, while the majority see the videos, which have been criticised as artificial, primarily as an attempt to win over Muslim voters for the Social Democratic Party. On X (formerly Twitter) in particular, the Social Democrat is mainly met with malice, with one user writing: “He’s like the child who was never elected and somehow desperately wants to be part of it. I find that somehow rather damn embarrassing.” Just a few days ago, Lindh caused a stir in the Bundestag when he reproduced a number of clichés about right-wing conservatives in an acted speech in which he performed as an AfD voter.

Eid is one of the most important festivals in the Muslim year. It begins with a special morning prayer and the exchange of greetings and sweets. Families dine together and the children receive gifts and new clothes. The festival is characterised by communal meals and cultural events that celebrate the diversity of the Muslim community. Muslim teachings also call for special support for the needy during this time. However, this charity is primarily aimed at devout Muslims.

The extent to which the Muslim communities in Germany feel addressed by Lindh’s statement can therefore only be surmised.

French school system in danger ‘due to radical Islam’, Senate report finds

A damning report by the French Senate paints a dire picture of the situation in French schools.

The “terrible loneliness” of teachers in the face of threats and attacks were among issues highlighted.

With the situation worsening, the Senatorial report published on March 6 urged the State to initiate a “proactive approach” and the French Ministry of National Education to “take back control” to restore safety and defend against radical Islamism.

Senators François-Noël Buffet and Laurent Lafon, co-rapporteurs of the report, said violence was on the rise in schools and pointed to a “discrepancy between the figures of the Ministry of Education and the reality on the ground”.

“Figures from the Ministry of Education tell us that 0.2 per cent of middle- and high-school teachers say they have been threatened with a weapon [during the school year 2021-2022].

“It may seem very small but it’s close to 900 teachers. That’s four a day,” they said.

In the same year, the number of teacher resignations increased by 36 per cent compared to the previous school year, both in primary and secondary education.

“The most striking observation is the terrible loneliness experienced by members of the educational staff in the face of a daily life marked by tensions and conflicts,” said Buffet.

Lafon noted a growing “mistrust” between teachers and their administrative hierarchy, which resulted in a “wall” having been erected between them and the relevant authorities.

Buffet noted that the “educational community is caught up in violence”. He cited multiple “forms of pressure and aggression” – from “misogynistic insults” to physical assaults.

He also pointed to the fact that more than half of all French teachers choose to self-censor when faced with angry parents and students who do not agree with school curricula.

“They choose not to address certain works, certain subjects,” the Senator said. Before scheduled cultural trips, for example, “some parents call to find out [the subject], what will be on stage, if there will be naked people”.

The same was true for principals, who are often confronted by parents in their school offices, while so-called education advisers see sanctions questioned by both parents and students, sometimes accompanied by lawyers.

A major problem within the school population was radical Islam, the Senators said. Islamism “is becoming commonplace”, they stated.

They also noted a rise in the use by some pupils of the threat made to a teacher to ‘make a Paty’ of him”.

Samuel Paty was a teacher who was beheaded in Paris 2020 by a radicalised Muslim and his murder spurred the French Senate to initiate its report at the request of the victim’s family.

The Senators said the current situation was the product of the rise of ethnic communitarianism and identity politics, fostering the manifestation of “radical Islam”, adding that “certain new forms of spirituality should not be ignored”.

They also noted such issues were being amplified by social media networks “where rumours are instrumentalised by pressure groups”.

The two Senators made 38 recommendations, including expanding the prohibition on wearing ostentatious religious symbols to events scheduled after school hours, as part of an effort to re-establish educators’ authority.

They also suggested the introduction of a new charter, where parents would have to promise that the decisions of schools “cannot be disputed and do not have to be justified”.

The two co-authors of the report further recommended the installation of video-surveillance cameras outside schools “without the agreement of [a school’s] board of directors” and suggested the establishment of a direct communication link between schools and the police.

Furthermore, they suggested enhancing education-staff training, highlighting a concern that “a number of young teachers may be [negatively] swayed by the rise of terms like ‘open secularism’ or ‘plural secularism’, along with public discussions that muddle secularism with tolerance”.

History is Coming to Lisbon

Screenshot FB

As the populist storm descended on the West, Portugal’s continued lethargy offered hope to the political class. If a spectre were indeed haunting Europe, the Portuguese seemed immune to its charms. Even as Britain went the way of Brexit, America chose Trump, the French toyed with the idea of a Présidente Le Pen, and the once imperturbable Germans succumbed to the AfD, the Portuguese remained stoically loyal to the parties of an old, decaying system. This time around, things appear to be different. When, on March 10th, the country chooses a new parliament, its ascending national-conservative party, Chega, is expected to achieve a historic result. Opinion polls place Chega over 15%, with a second-place result no longer seen as impossible—a stunning feat for a party founded only in 2019.

Chega’s meteoric rise was not what the regime was expecting. For the Lisbon establishment, 2024 was to be the year of flowing champagne, merry speeches, and self-congratulation. This coming April will mark the fiftieth anniversary of the current political order. It is now half a century since a coup d’état ended the government of Marcello Caetano, the last leader of the right-wing, authoritarian Estado Novo, by almost surrendering the country to Soviet-style communism.

Although it eventually found its way to liberal democracy, Portugal’s ‘Third Republic’ still owes its origins, references, and discourse to that era’s mishmash of Third-Worldist leftism. From the beginning, the regime’s political culture has orbited the memory of April 1974—rewriting the past and glamourising unremitting Stalinists as ‘democratic heroes,’ while silencing any alternative to the status quo as a reincarnation of ‘fascism.’ To this day, Portugal’s bizarre constitution inveighs against ‘colonialism’ and invokes the construction of a ‘socialist society’ as a state goal. The historic parties of the centre-right, the Social Democrats and the Christian democratic CDS, owe their existence to approval by a communist-controlled ‘Revolutionary Council.’ The Left’s hegemony was political as well as cultural, with conservatives forced into the catacombs of discreet think tanks and debate clubs. Now, however, the wall is cracking.

Hurricane Ventura

If Portugal’s shift to the right has a name, it is André Ventura. By breaking half a century of bipartidism while running on an unapologetic right-wing platform, the leader of Chega has achieved a feat that few thought possible. Formerly a member of the Social Democrats, Ventura first rose to prominence in 2017, while running for mayor in a Lisbon suburb. He gained national attention by assuming an unabashedly ‘politically incorrect’ profile: decrying the perceived abuse of the welfare system by ethnic minorities, venting popular wrath against a corrupt political class, and embodying the public’s fear of a woke agenda often embraced by the systemic Right. His provocative style seemed inspired more by Trump or former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro than by anything previously attempted in Western Europe, and it has worked.

Unlike so many would-be leaders of the post-1974 Portuguese Right, Ventura made no attempt to repeat the formula of an arcane, abstruse sect prophet. He refused the role of an ideologist that few would have been able to understand, just as he had no interest in conforming to the falsely genteel choreography of power treasured by the establishment and disdained by the people. Chega’s strategy has been to facilitate, to the greatest possible degree, mutual communication between itself and the ordinary Portuguese. It has done so while ignoring all those who, for ideological purism or out of social arrogance, would stop that flow of information, concerns, and priorities. Though an impressive and charismatic speaker, that is where Ventura’s political strength truly lies: in a matchless instinct for capturing the public mood.

A maturing wine

Chega’s rise has been a tale of careful pragmatism: the steadfast prioritisation of electoral growth by avoiding the traps of ideology. Yet, even if it has preferred to act in purely Rienzian style, with Ventura playing the part of an indignant tribune of the plebs, Chega has been patiently—and, often, discreetly—transforming itself into a more cohesive and programmatically consistent political force. In this, Ventura’s strategic patience appears to have produced the desired fruit: having grown so rapidly in the polls, Chega now has the means, the media access, and the gravitational power to decisively influence the direction of the country. And to influence it not only politically—inasmuch as democratic politics is, by its very nature, fragile and impermanent—but culturally. It is its ability to achieve the latter that will enable Chega to change Portugal in profound, relevant, and long-lasting ways.

Though much remains to be done, success is brewing. Chega has appealed to growing numbers among the country’s conservative intelligentsia, a phenomenon exemplified by figures such as Diogo Pacheco de Amorim, Gabriel Mithá Ribeiro, and Pedro Arroja. Young firebrand parliamentarians, such as Rita Matias, have helped the party reach segments of the electorate previously inclined to vote for the Left, all while espousing a strongly ideological message. A wave of defections from the Social Democrats, and from the Liberal Initiative—a pro-market party seen by many of its adherents as having capitulated entirely to progressivism—has contributed to solidifying Chega’s cadres.

As the party evolves from a protest front (its very name, Chega!, means Enough! in Portuguese) into a genuinely national-conservative platform, it is also undergoing a process of ideological refinement. Chega’s most recent electoral manifesto, while not negating the party’s roots and identity, is already that of a movement with a plan to govern: bold, but technically sound; revolutionary, though responsible. Breaking with the out-of-date, technocratic Thatcherism still popular among the Portuguese Right, Ventura has surprised most observers by adopting a neo-Gaullian, dirigiste approach. Recognising the attachment of most Portuguese to the welfare state, Ventura proposes deepening it by substantially increasing pensions. Understanding the rising importance of economic sovereignty in an age of geopolitical uncertainty, he has defended certain major corporations, such as national airline TAP, as ‘strategic.’ His bet on an agenda that emphasises national independence, traditional values, and economic self-determination by means of an active and powerful state aligns Chega with the current zeitgeist.

A historic election cycle

If Ventura’s polling numbers are confirmed on March 10th, one era will come to a close and another will begin. The cultural, political, and discursive hegemony of the Left, hitherto unchallenged by the regime-approved ‘right-wing’ parties, will be shattered. Conservative thinkers and opinion makers, long silenced by an oppressive media environment, will gain new legitimacy. The foundations of the incumbent regime—a progressive, leftist, and, ultimately, anti-Portuguese doxa—will be damaged beyond repair.

To a significant degree, however, the establishment has already lost. As in much of Western Europe, where the sovereignist Right often earns majority support among the young, Chega’s ambitious promise of a ‘Fourth Republic’—that is, of a complete and structural repudiation of the current political order—has made it the largest party among those voting for the first time. And, further underscoring the shifting political winds, the two traditional bastions of the regime are now faced with what appears to be a process of irreparable decay: polls suggest that the Communist Party may well fail to enter parliament for the first time since 1975, and the Socialists are now the party of the older and least-educated segments of the electorate. Neither group is likely to shape the future.

In Portugal, as across the West, the wheels of history are turning again.

Pro-abortion activists attack, scream at German pro-lifers praying the Rosary outside abortion center

Pro-lifers at prayer vigil in Frankfurt40 – Days for Life International

A peaceful prayer vigil in front of an abortion mill was attacked by pro-abortion activists who threatened pro-lifers with large objects and screamed in their faces.

On March 1, 40 Days for Life held a prayer vigil in front of an abortion center in Frankfurt am Main where a group of approximately 20 leftist protestors approached the peaceful pro-lifers while they prayed the Rosary. According to a press release by 40 Days for Life International, some of the pro-abortion activists with hoods pulled over their heads started to harass the pro-lifers, shouting in their faces.

The protestors started to pile up “trash bins, e-scooters, and massive wooden pallets from a nearby construction site” to threaten the pro-lifers further.

“This aggressive behavior particularly intimidated and threatened the female participants of the prayer gathering, who eventually slowly retreated,” the press release states.

According to 40 Days for Life, one of the attackers was already known to the pro-lifers, as he had exposed his backside in front of a prayer vigil in the fall of 2023, where a child and several women were present.

40 Days for Life criticized the police’s slow response to emergency calls, as it took the officers about 20 minutes to arrive at the scene.

“Although suspicion of coercion, threats, incitement to hatred, insult, property damage, theft, and disruption and obstruction of a non-prohibited assembly arose, several witnesses were present, and video recordings were available, the arriving police officers refused, even after repeated polite requests from the responsible assembly leader, to file a criminal complaint or record the personal details of the disruptors and suspects still nearby,” the press release states.

According to a report by the news outlet IDEA, the police said there were “constant verbal provocations” from both sides. Tomislav Cunovic, executive director of 40 Days for Life International, told LifeSiteNews that this portrayal by local police is inaccurate.

Cunociv said that while the pro-lifers stayed in their designated areas assigned by the regulatory office of the City of Frankfurt, about 30 meters from the abortion center, the counter-protestors left the designated area of their rally and approached the pro-lifers.

According to IDEA, the pro-abortion group gathered in front of the abortion facility under the motto “fit by punching fundamentalists” (“Fit durch Fundis boxen”and practiced “shadow boxing exercises,” a thinly veiled threat of violence towards Christian pro-lifers.

“The difference is simply that our people stood at their location, and the other side just walked over 30 meters and set up in front of our people… there may have been verbal fights there, but our people had their backs to the wall, so to speak,” Cunovic told LifeSiteNews.

He noted that 40 Days for Life would provide video and photo evidence of the attacks to the police.

“It is the public Christian testimony for life that the abortion lobby and its sympathetic political elites evidently have a problem with,” Cunovic said in a statement.

“They want to silence the Christian conscience that reminds us of the divine commandment ‘Thou shalt not kill,’” he continued.

“It is therefore particularly important to understand that the individuals praying near counseling centers or abortion facilities behave completely peacefully and lawfully. However, their opponents resort to violence, coercion, threats, and intimidation against individuals and property, in addition to misleading media campaigns, to achieve their goals.”

The pro-abortion “counseling center” where the attack took place is run by Pro Familia, the German subsidiary of the International Planned Parenthood Federation.

Growing pressure on pro-lifers in Germany

In January, the left-wing German government introduced a bill that would restrict pro-life advocacy in front of abortion mills and criminalize so-called “sidewalk harassment.”

Cunovic told LifeSiteNews that the new legislation is primarily “a big media show” because it “restricts behavior that is not permitted anyway under the current legal situation.”

However, he said that the law would be used as part of a media campaign and “psychological warfare” against pro-lifers.

Attacks like the recent one in Frankfurt by far-left groups occur on a regular basis, and the police are often needed to protect the peaceful 40 Days for Life advocates, Cunovic said.

In February, the organization announced that it would continue to assemble and pray peacefully in front of abortion facilities despite the proposed restriction and the growing pressure on pro-lifers.
