Germany: Gang rape of a girl of the age of 15 by, among others, two Syrians at a Catholic carnival event in the Speyer Sanctuary City

It was not the street carnival, but a closed event organised by the Catholic Youth that became a trap for a 15-year-old girl. Two Syrians of the same age and a 19-year-old German-Croatian committed rape in the party room of the Catholic youth organisation in Speyer (Rhineland-Palatinate).

The gang rape took place on Saturday evening. However, the Frankenthal public prosecutor’s office and the Rheinpfalz police headquarters only reported the crime yesterday. According to the report, it was a “sexual assault by three young people and adolescents aged 15 and 19”.
“For tactical investigative reasons”, senior public prosecutor Hubert Ströber did not want to comment on the details of the offence. The investigator only confirmed the scene of the crime to the Bild newspaper: it is the youth cellar with an antique vault of the Catholic boys’ parish of St Joseph.

The victim has not yet been questioned by the police. However, the young woman has already been medically examined. Speyer, which is governed by Mayor Stefanie Seiler (SPD), is a member of the “Safe Harbour” campaign. The 320 German cities on the list “are ready to take in more people” and want to send a signal against the alleged “European policy of isolation”.

Germany: Farmer hit with terrifying arson attack after participating in farmer protests

screenshot X

After a family from the German state of Saxony participated in farmer protests, their property was hit with an arson attack that destroyed numerous vehicles. Now, police are investigating the possibility that the attack was politically motivated.

The unidentified perpetrators set fire to a tractor on Sunday morning at a farm located in Oelsnitz, with the fire spreading to a manure trailer, a car, and a tractor-trailer, leading to all four vehicles being engulfed in flames. The damage totals over €500,000 for the family farm.

Police are looking at a political motive, as on the barn door was written: “Stop the blockade, otherwise everything will burn,” in black graffiti. The family was known to be active in the farmer protests that hit Germany earlier last month, with many roads blockaded, leading to major transportation delays. The protests have become a hot-button political issue, with left-liberal politicians attempting to connect the protesters with right-wing “influence” groups.

Investigators continue to collect evidence and assume it was a case of arson.

“What is certain at this point is that the vehicles that burned out there were set on fire,” said the spokesman for the Chemnitz Police Department, Andrzej Rydzi.

Some X users blamed the government’s rhetoric for the attack, writing: “For weeks, the government has been inciting people to ‘fight against the right,’ with anyone who doesn’t support the left-wing extremist positions of the mainstream becoming an enemy. A farmer in Oelsnitz had to experience this on Sunday night when he became the victim of an arson attack.”

The family has begun a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe, which has raised €52,000.

An association representing farmers also condemned the attack.

“It must not and cannot be the case that people who take to the streets, who probably also have a different opinion — whether justified or perhaps unjustified — have to fear for their business existence or perhaps even for their families,” said Marc Bernhardt, a spokesperson for the Land Creates Connections (LSV) association.

Semen isn’t enough for Canada’s woke police to know if a sexual assault suspect is ‘male’

By Andrea Widburg

We’re getting used to so-called “transgender” craziness. It no longer raises eyebrows when we hear about a man “breaking” women’s sports records or joining a sorority. We’re disgusted but shrug when we learn that a swim club is allowing a 50-year-old man who identifies as a teen girl to compete against and share a locker room with actual teen girls. We meme about the crazed man screaming at a hapless store clerk, “It’s ma’am!” But sometimes…sometimes the level of cultural delusion is still so shocking that it bears noting. Such is the case with the Vancouver police’s struggle to identify the suspect in a sexual assault.

The Transit Police in Vancouver are seeking the public’s help in capturing a person who sexually assaulted a woman at a train station last year. Here’s the suspect’s description:

The suspect is described as 30 – 40 years of age, 5’10’ – 6’ tall, with a dark complexion, slender build, wearing a wig with long dark wavy hair, a light coloured t-shirt, black biker shorts, light coloured running shoes and a small cross-body-style bag.

Notably absent from the description is whether the suspect is a man or a woman. You might think that information would be useful because either descriptor excludes the other 50% of the population. If you want to find someone, excluding those who cannot be responsible is a good way to go.

Image: YouTube screengrab (cropped).

As it is, according to Constable Amanda Steed, the hunt for the suspect has been really hard:

“Investigators have spent months exhausting every possible lead in this incident and are now requesting help in identifying the suspect, so that they can be held accountable for their actions. Anyone who recognizes the individual is asked to call police.” – Constable Amanda Steed

You read that: They’ve exhausted every possible lead. What more could they be expected to do?

Well, they did include footage of the suspect, who looks from afar like a woman (long hair and breasts). The face, however, has the heavy jaw and forehead of a man. At this point, you might think that the police are wise to be coy about the suspect’s sex. Ugly woman? Feminized man? Who knows?

Actually, it turns out that the police do know. You see, the suspect has a penis and excretes semen. I may be old-fashioned, but in my book, that means the suspect is all man.

However, according to Reduxx, when someone contacted Constable Steed, while she acknowledged the semen…well, she just wasn’t sure, which is why the police didn’t give the suspect’s sex in the press release:

“We’ve left it out for a reason; it’s because we don’t know. The video evidence shows someone who… would appear female, who is female presenting, but the physical evidence is that of a genetic male,” Steed said. She later confirmed in an email to Reduxx that the physical evidence is in fact the suspect’s semen.

Despite claiming that the Transit Police “didn’t know” what the sex of the suspect was, Steed admitted that they “believe” he has a penis.

“The suspect we believe does have a penis,” said Steed, when asked if the victim was raped. “But the video shows someone who appears to be female presenting, so that’s why we left the gender out. Because we weren’t really sure how this person identifies—we didn’t want to get it wrong.”

In sum, the Vancouver police know perfectly well that a man sexually assaulted (even raped?) a woman. However, they are deliberately hampering themselves when it comes to identifying this man because they’re desperately afraid of “misgendering” him. They’d rather let him remain free than offend the gender crowd.

Canada used to be an awesome country, kind of like Lake Woebegone, with strong women, good-looking and militarily courageous men and, I’m sure, above-average children. Now, though, Canada is a country run by lunatics who are so determined to protect the sensibilities of mentally ill people that they’re perfectly happy to let a huge man intent on sexually assaulting women roam free. The Islamists must envy this misogyny—and unless we stop Democrat cultural madness, Canada is our future.

What Kind of Feminist Wants Rapists in Britain? The curious case of feminist journalist Mary Harper

There has been anger in Britain recently over a gruesome chemical attack by an Afghani sex offender who was allowed to claim asylum in the country even after a conviction for sexual assault. In the midst of renewed debate about Britain’s asylum process, BBC journalist Mary Harper’s advocacy for foreign criminals has come under scrutiny, and as a result, she has lost her position as Africa editor with the state broadcaster.

Over the past decade, Mary Harper has testified as an expert witness on behalf of various violent Somali refugees in order that their criminal convictions—including for drug dealing, assault, and sexual assault—not result in deportation.  A substantial number of the cases (seven of the 13 for which she testified since 2013) “resulted in the refugee being permitted to remain in the UK.”

Of particular interest has been her testimony on behalf of four Somali sex offenders, in which she argued that the convicted criminals could face difficult adjustments and potential reprisal in their homeland, according to the Daily Mail. One of the cases involved a 29-year-old man (known only as AMW due to a court order protecting his identity), who was jailed after repeatedly sexually assaulting his 17 year old disabled girlfriend at a party. Harper’s defense of AMW included the argument that as a sexual offender and someone who does not speak Somali well, AMW would likely not be able to “survive” if deported. (Despite the judge disagreeing with Harper and ordering deportation, the man remains in the UK.)

Harper also testified, on more than one occasion, on behalf of convicted gang rapist Yaqub Ahmed, now in his mid-30s, who fought for five years against being forced to leave Britain, at a cost to British taxpayers of around one million British pounds. Harper warned in court that Ahmed (who was eventually sent back) would struggle to find a job in Mogadishu for lack of skills and “could be targeted by terror group Al Shabaab” because of his rape conviction. In another case, she warned that a man with 39 convictions for 80 crimes over 17 years “would be shunned by his clan if he returned to Somalia.”

Opinions on the worth of Harper’s expert evidence have varied, with some judges and politicians portraying it as exaggerated, speculative, and at times outright inaccurate (in one case, she is said to have attributed information to a terrorist source that actually came from an office cleaner). Having grown up partly in Kenya—her father was an economics professor in Africa—and spent years as an adult living for periods in Somalia, Harper may well have a deeper allegiance to that war-torn country than to her native Britain. She is divorced and has two grown children.

What is particularly notable about Harper’s years-long defense of Somali sex-criminals is the apparent clash with her feminist convictions. Harper is, as her Twitter output demonstrates, an advocate for women’s rights in Africa, including their right to live free of rape and to establish professional and business opportunities. Her advocacy often explicitly excludes boys and men even when a humanitarian perspective would seem to invite gender neutrality. A tweet on February 23, 2012, “Somalia Women want a voice,” included a picture of a sign, apparently in the country, reading “Let Women Lead; And Waste Less Time.” Here is the typically strident anti-male viewpoint.

And there are many more along the same lines. A June 30, 2012 tweet approved of award-winning Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s assertion that “We should not raise our daughters to aspire to marriage.” No, of course not: down with the family! Other tweets echoed Michelle Obama’s concern for girls abducted by Boko Haram in 2014 (but not for boys murdered or used as child soldiers by Boko Haram), quoted the Ethiopian Prime Minister’s absurd contention that “Women are less corrupt than men,” recommended an article on the role of women in terror group al Shabaab, praised Somali women who establish farms, and supported a BBC Charity Dinner for “marginalized women and girls.”

As is now the standard practice of elite feminists in journalism, academia, aid work, government, and the arts, Harper paints a picture of a world run by women for women on the assumption that women are simply better than men at pretty near everything. Men are not presented as worthy of compassion, and are mainly associated with violence and corruption.

So why, in a case in which male sex-criminals pose a threat to women in their communities is Harper far more concerned for the perpetrators’ safety than for that of their actual and potential victims? What kind of feminism is this?

In fact, it is not unusual for women from a heavily feminized society like Britain to find themselves attracted to men who are hyper-masculine, even violently hyper-masculine. The internet is full of confessions by feminists about their preference for the bravado, sexual aggressiveness, and capacity for violence of non-feminine men; one can also find serious research explaining why. Mary Harper’s story adds religious and racial elements to the equation. Harper has written two books about Somalia, the most recent, published in 2019, focusing on the terror group al Shabaab. Al Shabaab is a Sunni Muslim jihadist group with links to al Qaeda and other violent Islamists. It has ruled and terrorized parts of Somalia since around 2006 and has engineered bombings that killed large numbers of civilians. Harper’s Everything You Have Told Me Is True: The Many Faces of Al Shabaab is based on interviews with jihadist leaders as well as with those affected by their violence.

Coincidentally, the book touches briefly on the subject of Somalis deported from western countries, showing where Harper’s sympathies lie. “Somalis who have lived overseas since early childhood and fall into a life of crime are also at risk of being forcibly returned to Somalia,” she writes. Note the use of a passive verb phrase to suggest that criminality is not a choice. “Somalis have reacted with horror to the idea that people ‘who learned to be criminals abroad’ are being put on planes and dumped on Somali soil. They fear they will bring new forms of criminality and anti-social behavior to Somalia.” The concerns of non-Somalis who must live with violent migrants in their midst seem not to merit attention.

As was revealed in a 2019 Times interview article (“The BBC’s Mary Harper”) that coincided with the book’s publication, Harper claims to have had an unusually close relationship with jihadis. In fact, as the subtitle of the article denotes, she describes herself as having been relentlessly “stalked” by the terror members. Al Shabaab leaders not only follow her comings and goings when she is in Somalia, but also phone and email her in England, sometimes dozens of times per day. When her phone rings, according to the highly sympathetic article, “her heart sinks. She feels physically sick, because she can predict what is coming.” She will hear the voice of a violent man who claims to know her well.

Whether Harper has ever asked the al Shabaab spokesmen not to contact her is never made clear in the article: it seems unlikely. On the phone, al Shabaab alternate between boasts about their bloody attacks and expressions of alleged concern for Harper’s safety and spiritual wellbeing. “Please take care, Mary,” and “Have you been thinking about your religion, Mary?” Sometimes they even seem to tease her. One contact allegedly claimed that “One reason my accent is so good and my vocabulary so wide is that for years I have paid close attention to the BBC. That is why I feel I almost know you, Mary. I have been listening to your BBC reports for years.”

Harper emerges in the article as a brave and selfless journalist who has put herself in terrifying situations, and continues to suffer, to get at the truth. She can’t not take a call from al Shabaab, we’re told, because, in Harper’s own words, “That would mean that part of the jigsaw of what’s happening wouldn’t be there.” In other words, she is committed above all to informing her readers about Somalia. Whether it is really necessary for al Shabaab to have her personal cell number—whether she could not have a separate phone for work-related calls—is not broached.

The article assures us that “25 years of adhering to the BBC’s notion of balance mean that Harper’s tone is never inflammatory, never overtly condemnatory.” But the tone of her quoted words is not neutral but markedly self-absorbed, even a little self-congratulatory. “They get angry on the phone, irritated with me, but they do still talk to me,” she notes. Harper claims to find it disturbing “[t]hat somebody who is ringing to tell me the latest catalogue of horrors that they’ve inflicted on people can also be, at the same time, someone who shows a personal concern for me. I find it chilling.” Or is that thrilling? It seems that Harper wants readers to know how much these violent men care about her. Has she been taken in by a clever ploy? The possibility of personal interest is bolstered by a variety of publicly available photographs that show Harper smiling rather proprietarily with Somali men, some armed.

The intimacy and lack of condemnation are especially noteworthy given Harper’s role as an outsider, a white woman known for her feminist and progressivist views who is not at all shy (or concerned with “balance”) when it comes to condemning white men for their alleged violence. When the men in question are white Europeans, Harper is often scathing. Her tweets rush to judgement on, for example, the misogynistic history of Italian colonialism, the crass ignorance shown by a white man in Barcelona toward an immigrant black woman, and the alleged racist slurs used by white Britons towards an African woman in a British pub. There aren’t many white men using terrorism to impose a violent religious ideology anywhere in the west, but Harper seizes energetically on any signs of white male truculence. Having examined her Twitter account and read her book on al Shabaab, I could find no evidence of Harper writing non-judgmentally of white men, particularly of white men who advocate what the BBC would call extremist (i.e. traditional) views; and none of those men, one suspects, would be inclined to pester her with phone calls testifying to their protective interest.

It is difficult not to conclude that Mary Harper is gratified by the unusual male attention of al Shabaab, and attracted to some Somali men’s violence.

White women’s preference for foreign men has a significant history in feminist ideology and advocacy. In 1979, feminist leaders Gloria Steinem and Robin Morgan, writing about their campaign against female genital mutilation (FGM) in Africa (“The International Crime of Genital Mutilation”), were careful to distance themselves from the white colonial missionaries who had, earlier in the century, tried to stop the practice in Nigeria. Their stated empathy was with the anti-colonial Nigerian men who wished to maintain their native traditions, including FGM. Twenty years later, the same reflex anti-western standpoint was articulated by feminist academic Sherene Razack in her book Looking White People in the Eye: Gender, Race, and Culture in Courtrooms and Classrooms, in which she argued that white imperialism and colonialism were the primary drivers of brown and black women’s suffering. Any white feminist who had mistakenly assumed that western societies treated women better than some other societies was complicit, or so the charge went, with white supremacism.

Uneasily aware of their alleged race privilege, white feminists thus sought to consolidate moral legitimacy by joining with brown and black peoples in condemning white men and the west as the origin of world evil.

According to the now-widespread framework, Mary Harper’s defense of violent Somali men is not only a potential expression of sublimated erotic interest; it is also an act of ideological exculpation for being white. Britain, as a former colonial power, should not be allowed to escape violence from criminal migrants because Britain visited such violence upon the peoples it colonized. Mary Harper’s defense of the right of rapists to stay in the country that offered them asylum is justifiable as an act of resistance against supposed white supremacism.

A number of conclusions can be drawn from this story.

The most obvious is that intersectional feminist ideology is not about protecting and assisting actual human beings. It is certainly not about protecting women and girls from rapists. As Harper’s actions show, that is at best a secondary consideration.

It is also not about helping rapists or about advocating in general for brown, black, or Muslim men. Outside of her courtroom testimonies and self-preoccupied writings about al Shabaab, Harper has shown no interest in men’s needs or experiences as men, men’s suffering in poor and war-torn countries, or the rape of men as a strategy of war.

Intersectional feminism is also not about “equality”: on its surface, it promotes female leadership and female power. In actuality, however, it touts solutions in which power will be taken away from men and women in their local communities and nations, to be concentrated in the hands of powerful corporations, NGOs, and other transnational bodies. The case of Britain, in which mass immigration, deracination, and the nullification of family life, native customs, and traditional culture have proceeded without the consent of the governed, is a good case in point.

It may be that Mary Harper is attracted to Somalia and its people precisely because it is nothing like Britain today. Despite its serious problems of violence and dysfunction, it still has a fierce patriotism and is unapologetic about its culture and identity. It has not accepted the necessity of abandoning the traditional institutions and values that provided meaning to men and women in the past.

Harper’s insistence on the right of asylum for convicted criminals who show contempt for British culture and law is a part of the great elite project that seeks to erase distinctive national identities through family breakdown, social atomization, and community disharmony. As a divorced woman anchored in no home place and advocating for people who, in the main, find her values and manner of life alien, she embodies the lonely, destructive incoherence of the intersectional feminist vision.

Bern declares itself ‘safe harbor’ city for refugees, demands to be allowed to take in greater numbers

The Swiss capital of Bern has declared itself a “safe harbor” for asylum seekers and indicated its readiness to accept more migrants than currently allocated by the federal government.

Local councilors adopted the “safe harbor” declaration initiated by the far-left Seebrücke organization, which seeks to pressure national governments into receiving even greater numbers of migrants heading to Europe by sea.

The city’s executive council — dominated by Greens and Social Democrats — has called for local governments across Switzerland to have a greater say in the number of migrants they can receive, claiming the municipality is capable of taking in larger numbers of those rescued at sea and insisting it has a moral duty to do so.

“The city of Bern’s safe harbor declaration is more than just symbolic politics — it is another consistent step in the city’s commitment to a humane and active asylum and refugee policy,” local councilor Franziska Teuscher, who is responsible for education, social welfare, and sport, said in a press release issued by the city council on Monday.

“The local council is concerned about the great need and the unsustainable conditions in refugee centers in the Mediterranean, about the high number of people who lose their lives crossing the Mediterranean every year,” she added, criticizing what she described as Europe’s refugee policy of “deterrence and isolation.”

In addition to the declaration, the city council also announced its intention to directly fund NGOs transporting migrants from the Mediterranean to Europe, left-wing groups that do so primarily via Italy.

The Sea Eye organization, which has been at loggerheads with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s administration since she took office, is set to receive 70,000 Swiss francs this year from Bern taxpayers to fund its exploits in the Mediterranean.

“A humane and active asylum and refugee policy is a major concern for both the local council and the city council of the city of Bern,” the statement added.

Claiming asylum in Switzerland is notoriously more difficult than many of its EU neighbors and just over 30,000 asylum applications were processed by the country last year, excluding Ukrainian refugees.

Refugee status will only be granted to applicants who can show there is a “direct, serious, and specific threat” to their life or physical integrity, and originating from a country in conflict is not sufficient in itself.

As a landlocked nation and a signatory to the Dublin Agreement, Switzerland can also rely on the provisions set out in the accord to return asylum seekers to the first safe European nation in which they arrived.

UK: Trans-Identified Male Rapist Back in Prison for Breaching Harm Prevention Order

A convicted rapist who identifies as a “woman” is back behind bars after breaching the conditions imposed on him to protect the public. Freddie Millar, 31, who also uses the name Xenia Jade-Millar and Xenia Woodward, was sentenced to 16 months in prison for violating a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and notification requirements.

Millar, of Northampton, was first convicted of rape in 2017 and served three years in prison for the crime. In 2020, he was again detained for misconduct, and incarcerated until September 2023. The conditions of his most recent release, as per the SHPO, legally required Millar, a registered sex offender, to disclose any new relationships, devices, and social media accounts to authorities.

Freddie Millar. Source: Facebook

However, during an unannounced check-up conducted by authorities in December of 2023, officers discovered an undisclosed laptop at his residence. Additionally, Millar had become involved in a relationship with a woman without alerting law enforcement.

A follow-up visit in January revealed that Millar had been operating multiple social media accounts under his various aliases — thus violating three stipulations specified in the SHPO.

On February 5, 2024, Millar appeared before Northampton Crown Court, where he was sentenced to one year and four months in prison.

Lead Investigator Detective Constable Will Corlett said in a press release: “Registered sex offenders are very closely managed by our team and I want to be clear that any breaches are dealt with robustly. We do not give second chances or ‘the benefit of the doubt’ – anyone who breaches their order is charged and brought before the courts with a view to sending them to prison.”

“I’m pleased to see Millar jailed as it means the streets of Northampton are that little bit safer,” Constable Corlett added. “I hope this case reassures the public with regards to how seriously we take offences such as this and shows the relentless determination of Northamptonshire Police to put as many people like Millar behind bars.”

Several comments appear to have been deleted from a post made on the Northamptonshire Police Facebook page announcing Millar’s sentencing.

On one Facebook account belonging to Millar, he confirms he identifies as transgender in a post dated December 28, 2023.

“Too [sic] everyone in the world listen to me right now, anyone who has a judge [sic] against me being a transgender come say it to my face,” Millar wrote. “This is just me being nice you don’t want to see me when I lose my sh*t cause trust me I’m dangerous when I’m angry.”

Millar’s sister commented on his post, suggesting that his threatening remarks were “not very lady-like.”

“I have known Freddie all my life and I struggle to believe this is reality, something Freddie struggles with,” she replied. Speaking directly to the 20 year-old woman Millar had become involved with, she added, “I wish you all the best, just be careful.”

The two women then exchanged in a brief back-and-forth, with Millar’s current girlfriend stating that “she is no longer a he and she is no longer Freddie… She is Xenia and why are you saying be careful? However, likewise I wish you all the best.”

During the course of their conversation, it was revealed that Millar had not undergone any surgical interventions. Millar’s sister asserted that she had “an opinion which I’m entitled to,” and insinuated that his history of sexual abuse had made her suspicious of her brother.

“Yes, you’ve done your time, but the nature of what you did, in my humble opinion, is unforgivable. If you are truly transgender, good luck to you… My one and only issue is what you’ve done. Maybe if I didn’t have a daughter I might think differently,” she stated.

Millar’s Facebook profile also suggests he has an estranged son whom he was trying to reestablish contact with.

While it is unclear which prison Millar will be sent to in order to serve the 16-month sentence, an unofficial national sex offender database established to inform the public has recorded his sex as male, and lists his offenses under the name Freddie Millar rather than Xenia.

Belgian Farmers Blockade Port of Antwerp as Battle with EU Green Agenda Continues

screen grab youtube

Hundreds of tractors blockaded the Port of Antwerp in Belgium on Tuesday as farmers continue their fight against the green agenda and free trade policies of Brussels ahead of the European Parliament elections.

Business at Europe’s second-largest seaport was serverly impacted as around 500 tractors blocked off access on the roads surrounding the Port of Antwerp in northern Belgium to protest the environmental and agricultural policies imposed on them by their own government and Eurocrats thirty miles to the south in Brussels.

The protest forced the leader of the local Flemish government, Jan Jambon, to cancels his scheduled trip to Barcelona to try to come to a deal with the farmers. Speaking ahead of the protest, Jambon said per Dutch public broadcaster NOS: “I don’t think anyone would like to see the blockade of the port of Antwerp happen, but it is up to everyone to take their own responsibility. I hope that people will be reasonable tomorrow. ”

On Tuesday, Flemish Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir offered to meet with a delegation of farmers from the Antwerp protest, saying that they would have a police escort to meet with her in Brussels. However, the farmers, many of whom appear intent to continue their blockade of the port overnight, scoffed at the offer, arguing that if she felt the issue was so important, she could come to them, the Antwerp-based Het Laatste Nieuws reports.

Although the blockade of the port comes amid a wider struggle of farmers across Europe, who have faced increasing difficulty amid rampant inflation, the mass importation of cheap Ukrainian agricultural products, and the EU’s green agenda, the latest protest in Antwerp came in response to the Flemish government’s latest decree on nitrogen, demanding that they are cut in half by the end of the decade in order to comply with European Union standards.

Farmers have argued that the decree disproportionately impacts them, while giving carveouts to big business. Speaking to the Gazet van Antwerpen a group of farmers said: “First of all, industry is allowed to emit forty times more than farmers. We are also accused of producing for export. But what about companies like Ineos here in the port of Antwerp, or Volvo Cars? Don’t they also export?”

“This protest comes from below. This time the initiative comes from the farmers themselves. It is mainly us, young farmers, who see our future melting away before our eyes. That is the life’s work of sometimes several generations in the family,” they continued.

“We will remain here until we receive a clear signal from politicians that something is changing. We are prepared for it. We receive a lot of food from bakers, butchers and partners to whom we supply. That gives us the feeling that many people are behind us.”

The broad support for farmers against the climate change-inspired regulations and taxes has sparked fear among globalist governments throughout Europe and even the EU leadership in Brussels announced that it would be walking back several elements of its Net Zero plans in an attempt to quell the anger of the farmers.

However, with around 400 million people set to head to the polls in June to decide the makeup of the next European Parliament, farming groups appear intent to keep the pressure up to ensure that agriculture remains at the top of mind for voters. Arnaud Rousseau, the head of the FNSEA agricultural union in France, said this week that it is “very probable” that farmers in France will once again take to their tractors to demand better treatment.

Collective action from farmers have already seen political success, such as the tractor protest Farmer Citizen Movement party, which became the largest party in the Dutch senate last year and is likely to be a coalition partner of the presumptive prime minister, populist leader Geert Wilders, who has been a staunch supporter of farmers.

Populists throughout Europe have begun to allign themselves their cause, with Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini casting the election as a battle between the climate agenda of elites like European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen against working class farmers.“The Von der Leyen commission is disastrous in relation to labour and rights,” Salvini said while in Brussels earlier this month, adding that the objections of the farmers “are with the crazy, pseudo-green European policies that regard farmers, fishers, truck drivers…it is clear that this Europe has put ideology ahead of labour.”

Sweden: Hamas-Linked MP Splits From Social Democrats

Jamal El-Haj, Photo: Agj1998, CC BY-SA 4.0 <https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0>, via Wikimedia Commons

A Lebanese-born MP with links to Hamas and belonging to the left-leaning Social Democrats has caused waves in Swedish politics this week by announcing his resignation from the party. The decision comes in the wake of a rumbling scandal over his participation in a conference hosted by a known Hamas donor. He also faces accusations of attempting to influence an asylum court case involving an Egyptian imam.

Jamal El-Haj, an MP for the Malmö region, will now sit as an independent in the Swedish Parliament, the Riksdag, after publicly resigning from the Social Democrats on Monday citing a lack of trust expressed in him by the party leadership.

A vocal antisemite born to parents of Palestinian heritage, El-Haj has represented the centre-left party in parliament since 2018, including serving on the foreign relations committee. He came under fire in May for speaking at a Palestinian solidarity conference with strong ties to the militant group Hamas, despite senior Social Democrats urging him not to. In photos from the conference, he is seen embracing Amin Abu Rashid, currently in custody in the Netherlands on suspicion of raising close to €6 million for the terror organisation. More recently, El-Haj made headlines when, in an interview with Dagens Nyheter, he stated that “one cannot kill civilians, even if they are Jews.”

The final straw for the party came last week when it was revealed that El-Haj  had contacted the Swedish Migration Agency in 2017 to personally assist a hardline Egyptian imam popular among Islamists to remain in the country. In response, party leader Magdalena Andersson pulled support from the controversial MP over the weekend.

In his resignation letter, El-Haj stated that he had reached a “critical point” with the Social Democrats and that he would continue to serve as an independent MP due to the wishes of his constituents. He added that he will continue to be “loyal to Sweden and the Swedish people and to the Palestinian people.”

This is not the first time the Swedish Left has been accused of harbouring Islamists. Last year, a report highlighted efforts by the Muslim Brotherhood to infiltrate left-wing municipal politics. Also, an overtly Islamist party, Partiet Nyans, has stood in recent elections, catering primarily to Turks.

El-Haj’s exit can be seen as just another symptom of a crisis within the Social Democrats caused by migration and demographic changes. It is the party that ruled Sweden for most of the 20th century and the birthplace of the country’s extensive welfare state and lax asylum policies.

Rather ironically, El-Haj’s resignation has been cited as an example of institutional racism in Swedish politics.

El-Haj’s home constituency of Malmö has become notorious due to its spiralling rates of immigration-fueled gang violence. Various Swedish cities have been rocked by Islamist violence in recent years, prompting authorities to suggest calling in the military to assist police in migrant districts.
The Swedish Social Democrats’ struggle with the issue of identity and Islam is echoed by a similar incident experienced by the British Labour Party this week when it was forced to withdraw support from a high-profile Muslim candidate for the Rochdale by-election after he repeated the antisemitic conspiracy theory that Israel “permitted” the October 7 massacre to happen.

UK: Man jailed for three years for raping vulnerable woman in Belfast

Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced at Belfast Crown Court

A man who raped a heavily intoxicated and vulnerable woman has been jailed for three years.

Ahmad Alsbaihi, of Ard Na Va Road, in west Belfast, pleaded guilty to a single count of rape.

The 22-year-old was told he would spend a further three years on supervised licence on his release from prison.

Belfast Crown Court heard the incident happened on 22 June 2022 after Alsbaihi and another man met the woman at a nightclub.

They then invited her back to a house for a party.

A prosecution barrister said a witness saw the two men with the woman and had “concerns about her vulnerability through her intoxication”.

The witness said she asked the victim if she knew the men and she replied that she did not.

The witness decided to accompany the woman to the party, and on the way the men stopped the taxi to collect a bottle of vodka.

At about 05:00 BST, the witness said she came out of a bedroom and saw Alsbaihi “having sex” with the victim, “whose eyes were closed and she was completely asleep”.

The court was told that following the rape, the two men redressed the victim and removed her from the living room floor and put her on the sofa.

When the witness confronted Alsbaihi, who came to Northern Ireland from Syria as a refugee, he claimed the victim had consented to sex when she was awake before falling asleep.

Police and an ambulance were called and, while being tended to by paramedics, the victim woke up but had no idea what had happened to her.

The defendant was subsequently arrested by police, but denied raping the woman and said she had consented to sex.

The court heard the victim’s blood initially gave a reading of 178mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, however, a back count suggested a reading of between 315 and 525mg of alcohol with an average of 425mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood.

In a statement to the court, the victim described the effects the rape had on her physically, her relationships, the trauma she had endured and the ongoing fear she felt.

In a pre-sentence report, Alsbaihi told a probation officer he felt “disgusted” at what he had done and the victim had not consented to having sexual intercourse with him.

A defence barrister said Alsbaihi, who had no previous criminal record, had now expressed his remorse and regret over the rape.

He said the defendant presented as an immature male who was 20 at the time of the rape.

The barrister added Alsbaihi had arrived in Northern Ireland in 2017 with his mother and brother after fleeing war-ravaged Syria via Jordan and had “suffered poor mental health before his offending over a number of years”.

Passing sentence, Judge Mark McGarrity said it must have been “obvious to the defendant given the victim’s intoxication that she was entirely helpless and defenceless”.

“The evidence reveals that she was so incapacitated that she had no awareness of what had been inflicted upon her,” he added.

“She was, I consider, highly vulnerable to the defendant’s deplorable actions.

“He nonetheless displayed a callous and wicked disregard for her.”

The judge added that he applauded the woman’s bravery and he believed “this attack has had a profound effect upon her”.

“I also applaud the resilience of the witness.

“She deserves praise for playing her part in making sure the victim in this case got justice.”
