French President Emmanuel Macron visited a school where a teacher had been killed by a radical Islamist with a knife on Friday, revealing a second suspected attack had been foiled at another school the same day.

Emmanuel Macron spoke to the public and press at the Gambetta Secondary School in Arras near the Belgian border where a teacher had been killed and two others injured by an “Allahu Akbar” shouting knifeman on Friday, and revealed in his speech another attack was thought to have been foiled.

Speaking of the terror threat, the President said: “at least one another intervention may have made it possible to thwart another attempted attack in another region”, with French newspaper Le Figaro reporting this referred to an arrest near Paris.

The publication states a man left a “prayer room” in the town of Limay, in Yvelines in the Île-de-France region northwest of Paris while carrying a kitchen knife and was arrested by Condorcet High School. Per the report, the man’s exact intentions for carrying a knife from the place of prayer to a school are not yet known but the individual is already known to police for having been radicalised.

BFM reports the individual was a 23-year-old male and justified his carrying a blade to officers by claiming he was homeless and frequently attacked, so the article was for self-defence. Police continue to investigate, the publication states.

Also known to police for radicalisation is Chechnyan alleged Islamist Mohamed Mogouchkov, who was on the French state’s “S file” database of extremists and who killed a literature teacher Dominique Bernard at the Arras school where Macron was speaking. Mogouchkov as well as members of his family have been arrested.

Macron revealed the others who were stabbed but not killed by Mogouchkov are nevertheless in critical condition. Earlier reports stated all three had been stabbed in their necks, and one had their carotid artery cut.

The President called the attacks “barbaric” and noted, as many others had done, that today’s attacks come nearly three years to the day since teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded at his school, again by a radical Islamist from Chechnya.

While it is not clear whether today’s attack is related in any way to Hamas declaring a global “day of Jihad“, it has already been reported that several Jewish faith schools in Western cities have taken the decision not to open for the rest of the week, advising their pupils to stay at home for their own safety.

Despite public opinion across Germany swaying against the liberal immigration policies of the recent past and present, prominent government officials are continuing to lobby in favor of mass immigration to address the country’s labor shortage.

Robert Habeck, Germany’s federal economics minister and Green Party member, has called for even more immigration, even as the country faces a housing crisis, overcrowding in education and healthcare, and a concerning rise in migrant crime.

Speaking to the Rheinische Post newspaper, Habeck claimed it was “obvious” that Germany remains “dependent on immigration,” insisting it remains necessary in order to “generate growth and secure prosperity.”

Habeck stated that companies across the country were “desperately” looking for more workers and claimed that a lack of available labor had resulted in trade and crafts companies being forced to turn down orders and restaurants having to restrict their opening hours.

“We urgently need more skilled workers and laborers. We all feel it in our everyday lives by now,” he said.

Habeck’s unpopular response to the perceived labor shortage is further liberalization of Germany’s visa system. The federal economics minister advocated the issuing of more work permits and lower thresholds to entice even more foreign nationals to head to Germany and revitalize its struggling economy.

“I know that there are reservations about it in some cases, and of course, it is absolutely clear that we need better controllability of who comes into the country, and that those who are not allowed to stay must leave again quickly. That’s indisputable to me,” Habeck said as he sought to caveat his response.

He claimed that further diplomatic work needed to be undertaken to ensure bilateral agreements on migrant returns were viable.

Majority of Germans want less immigration

Habeck’s remarks come at a time when the vast majority of German citizens have grown disillusioned with the liberal migration policies of the current and previous federal administrations.

An ARD-DeutschlandTrend poll published late last month revealed that almost two-thirds (64 percent) of respondents wanted Germany to take in fewer immigrants with the same figure claiming that the country faces more disadvantages than advantages when it comes to immigration.

Almost three-quarters (73 percent) of respondents believed the distribution and housing of migrants in the country is done either rather poorly or very poorly, compared with just 19 percent who considered this to be done well.

This shows an alarming drop in public support for the redistribution of migrants compared to five years ago when similar polling showed that 43 percent considered this area to be efficient.

The poll also revealed that 82 percent of Germans are in favor of increased border controls, while 69 percent believe that Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia should be designated as safe countries of origin in order to help facilitate deportations back to these nations.

Artificial Intelligence could displace tens of millions of jobs in Europe

There is no doubt that Germany, along with many other European countries, is facing a worker shortage in many fields. However, efforts so far to replace skilled German workers with immigrants have been a failure. Half of the migrants who arrived during the 2016 migrant crisis are still unemployed, and even for those employed, the majority of them receive pay so low that they are eligible for welfare benefits. Migrants have already cost tens of billions of euros for the German taxpayer, and in 2023 alone, the government estimates they will cost another €36 billion.

Furthermore, the Artificial Intelligence revolution continues apace. Investment bank Goldman Sachs reported that 300 million full-time jobs will vanish worldwide. According to a company survey by the World Economic Forum In the industrialized countries alone, it is expected that around one out of eight jobs will be lost by 2027 — specifically, that would be 83 million out of a total of 673 million.

Germany may go from a worker shortage to a glut of unemployed workers in the very near future. At the same time, the German government, which consists of the Greens, is pushing through generous welfare packages that encourage both Germans and migrants to not work.

While addressing a South American youth gathering in 2015, Pope Francis defined his pontificate when he told them to go out and “make a mess.” And a mess is what he has emanating from the Vatican.

Enter the Synod on Synodality, where barrels of ink have been spilled leading up to its initiation, now underway in the Eternal City.  And if the recycle dumpster is to be believed, much that has been written on the synod has been deposited unopened. 

Many baptized Catholics have no idea what a synod is nor do they even care.

The Vatican’s Instrumentum Laboris is a working document for the Synod.  At 27,000 words, it lives up to its Latin root, as it is a laborious and penitential read, with its fair share of sociological and bureaucratic bloviation.  Terms like “inclusivity, accompaniment, listening, the marginalized, LGBTQ+, and journey together” litter the document.  It says nothing about the Church’s mission: the salvation of souls and very little about sin, repentance, redemption, judgment, Heaven, Hell, and yes — Jesus Christ.

The political and social have superseded the moral and divine.

The growing progressive wing of the Church’s episcopate views the synod as a de facto Vatican III, where the opportunity to implement heretical changes presents itself in distorting doctrine and subverting tradition while questioning the magisterium.    

Included but not exclusive are the blasphemous unbiblical blessings of gay unions, unrestricted lay preaching, the ordination of women, canceling priestly celibacy, weightier decision-making by the “People of God,” and the integration of pagan rituals.  Listening to “voices from the peripheries” is just another wave in the secular tide to Gehenna.

It was nearly a century ago that Catholic writer G.K. Chesterton prophetically wrote, “The next great heresy will be an attack on morality, especially sexual morality.”  Doctrines that oppose debauched sexual mores and radical feminism are argued as antiquated that stem from an uncompromising past.

Naturally, any contested doctrine will be scrutinized and found wanting and therefore must be changed.  Anyone who opposes such synodal enlightenment are to be condemned and ostracized as being intolerant and uncharitable.  

Divinely revealed doctrines that run counter to the modern ethos are all the rage.  A favorite one is that eternal salvation for all is guaranteed.  God is too loving to condemn anyone to Hell.  Jesus should not be taken literally when he speaks about souls being punished eternally.  One of the most telling quotes in all of Scripture is Matthew 26:24, when Jesus addresses the fate of Judas, who is arguably the most tragic person in the Gospels: “It would have been better for him had he never been born.”

The Church is obviously not paying attention to what is occurring within mainline Protestant congregations.  Timeless truths are dismissed in favor of modern untruths, fashioned in the chaos of social and political preferences — turning humankind into God.

The Church is not a democracy.  Truth is the obstacle in uniting humankind in fraternity, understanding, and of course climate sustainability.  The only sin is to be too traditional and orthodox.  The faithful have a moral obligation to resist such sophistry, confusion, and heresy. It was Bishop Fulton Sheen who said the laity will save the church.

It seems Pope Benedict XVI’s prophecy of the Church going back to the catacombs and becoming a remnant is happening in real time.  The “smoke of Satan” that Pope Paul VI wrote about has now turned into a raging wildfire.

The New Testament predicts that before the Second Coming, there will be a great falling away from the faith (2 Thess. 2:3a) and how the city of Rome in the final century will be a lot how like it was in the first century.

American cardinal Raymond Burke wrote the synod is “a revolution at work to change radically the Church’s self-understanding, in accord with a contemporary ideology which denies much of what the Church has always taught and practiced.”

Pope Francis will talk up potential changes in his ambiguous fashion, leaving in its wake continued confusion and division. 

As the hurricane of apostasy and heresy spins about this synodal mess, our Lord’s promise that “the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church” reigns supreme and is hope personified.

Three men entered the Saint Christophe church in Tourcoing in northern France at around 4pm on Saturday October 7, the day of the deadly attack on Israel by Hamas Islamist terrorists, and disrupted a wedding by videotaping those present, we were told.
When one of the people present asked them to respect the service and was about to call the police, she was threatened with death by decapitation by the three people with “North African” appearance, a police source told Valeurs actuelles.
The three suspects fled. The victim, who filed a complaint on Wednesday October 11, photographed two of the attackers. “The priest of the parish regularly receives threats without reporting them to the police,” a police source says.

German authorities on Wednesday arrested an Iraqi man accused of involvement in the killing of prisoners and the amputation of a person’s hand in his homeland as a member of the Islamic State group.

The suspect, identified only as Abdel J.S. in line with German privacy rules, was arrested in the western city of Wuppertal, federal prosecutors said. He is accused of membership in a foreign terrorist organization and participation in war crimes.

Prosecutors said in a statement that he joined IS by June 2014 and in the following months participated twice in the extremist group’s “draconian public punishments.” In one case, they said, he was involved in the execution of at least six prisoners. In another, he is accused of providing security while the hand of an alleged thief was amputated.

He and other IS fighters also allegedly took a person prisoner and beat and kicked the captive to extract information, the German authorities said.

A judge on Wednesday ordered the suspect held in custody pending a possible indictment.

Just one week after Rishi Sunak insisted voters should put their faith in the Tories once again, reports have highlighted the total chaos in which the prison system, which has been under the watch of the Conservative Party for more than 13 years, finds itself.

The list of causes is long. We reported earlier this month on the conclusion of His Majesty’s Chief Inspector of prisons that 10% of these are not “fit for purpose.” A good number, the vast majority of which are run by the government, were built in the Victorian era with much lower maximum capacities in mind, meaning accidents involving both inmates and staff are simply “waiting to happen.”

It has since emerged that judges have been told not to jail serious criminals, including rapists, because there is no room for them. The Times reported:

Convicted rapists and burglars will be temporarily spared jail from next week after judges were told that prisons are full.

Crown court judges have been ordered to delay sentencing hearings, The Times has learnt, as the prison population has reached bursting point.

Lord Justice Edis, the senior presiding judge for England and Wales, has ordered that sentencing of convicted criminals who are currently on bail should be delayed from Monday.

Not only that; some prisoners are also expected to be released early under government proposals. That is, under proposals from the very same government which has spent recent months (and years, in fact) trying to look tough and uncompromising on crime.

COVID—or, rather, lockdown and the government’s wider response to the pandemic—also has a hand in all this, as it does in much else. All jury trials in England and Wales were temporarily suspended in 2020 as part of the drive to shut the country down, resulting in a large backlog of cases. Responding to various reports, Health Secretary Steve Barclay this week accepted that the backlog exists “especially because jury trials were suspended because of Covid.” So it appears that the effort to lock citizens in their homes during lockdown is now hampering the locking up of rapists in jail.

Still, the government refused to accept that it has become ‘soft on crime.’ Security Minister Tom Tugendhat insisted that “we are absolutely clear that those who commit violent acts, sexual acts against people in the United Kingdom will go to prison and will go to prison for long periods of time to protect the British people,” pointing also to attempts to increase the number of prison places.

Polish football club Legia Warsaw has published footage showing its owner, Dariusz Mioduski, being manhandled and struck on the head by Dutch police after a game between AZ Alkmaar and Legia Warsaw on Oct. 5.

The treatment of supporters and staff of the Warsaw-based club has been roundly condemned in the Polish media and by both the governing conservatives and opposition politicians, all of whom have placed the blame on the local mayor and security services.

Legia claimed the published video footage, filmed during a UEFA European Conference League match, shows evidence of “xenophobia, discrimination, and aggression against Poles by the Dutch.” 

During a news conference on Oct. 6, Dariusz Mioduski called the situation in the Dutch city of Alkmaar “an absolute scandal.”

“For many years I have gone to matches from Kazakhstan to Portugal and I have seen a few situations, for example, when our team bus was attacked by rival fans, but I have never seen the team, staff members, and management attacked by security and police. It is unprecedented on a global scale,” said the Legia owner.

According to eyewitnesses, players were prevented from leaving the stadium to get on their bus. When Dariusz Mioduski tried to mediate, he was jostled and then punched by security guards and police who laughed at him. When he told them he was the owner of Legia Warsaw, they ridiculed him. 

Players were accosted by security guards, and two of them reacted by getting into a tussle with the security staff. After the footballers got on the coach, the police surrounded it and demanded that two players who had become embroiled in the fight leave the vehicle, threatening to storm it if their demands were not met. 

The two players voluntarily left the bus and were then handcuffed and placed in police custody. Mioduski tried to intervene by offering to go to the police station with them but was shoved out of the way by the police.

The Dutch police later confirmed that there were two arrests in connection with a “disturbance” after the match. The two Legia players arrested, Serbian Radovan Pankov and Portuguese Josue Pesqueira, were subsequently released on Oct. 6 and have returned to Poland.

The Dutch police claimed that Polish football fans stormed the stadium’s gate before the match started and behaved aggressively, knocking an officer unconscious. 

Ahead of the game, police declared the area around Alkmaar station and the stadium a safety risk and carried out preventative searches of Legia fans following reports some supporters were in possession of fireworks.

The Alkmaar mayor, Anja Schouten, has been accused of encouraging hostile treatment of Polish fans by saying before that game that they were not welcome in the city. There were reports that some fans were turned away from restaurants in the city and that fans had also been made to travel to The Hague to access the tickets for the game. 

The Polish foreign ministry summoned the Dutch ambassador to a meeting on Oct. 7 to discuss  “discriminatory actions” of the Dutch police against Polish footballers and fans, after Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki intervened. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party in Poland has consistently argued that there is a need to tackle examples of “anti-Polonism” evidenced by blaming Poland for the Holocaust and derogatory and demeaning treatment of Poles in the EU. 

UEFA is investigating the incident. The Dutch club AZ Alkmaar was fined €80,000 in July over the behavior of their fans during their Europa Conference League semi-final second leg against West Ham in May. AZ fans had attacked an area in which the West Ham players’ friends and family were seated, with players subsequently trying to intervene to protect them.

France school knife attack: Man screaming ‘Allahu Akbar’ kills one and injures others on ‘Global Day of Jihad’ called by Hamas

A fatal knife assault occurred at a school in Arras, resulting in the loss of one individual’s life and causing severe injuries to two others after a terrorist screaming “Allahu Akbar” attacked the victim and inflicted severe blows.

According to local law enforcement, an individual armed with a knife fatally assaulted a teacher and inflicted injuries on two other individuals at a high school in a town of nearly 41,000 people on Friday morning. The terrorist has been nabbed and taken into custody.

The incident took place at Gambetta High School, situated in the town centre. Authorities report that during the incident, the terrorist exclaimed “Allah Akbar,” which translates to “God is great” in Arabic.

There were no injuries reported among the high school students. However, a security guard and a teacher sustained severe injuries from multiple stab wounds.

“This morning, a police operation was conducted at the Gambetta school campus in Arras. The culprit has been apprehended,” stated local officials on X, previously known as Twitter.

The Elysée Palace has announced that President Emmanuel Macron and the French Minister of Education will visit the site of the stabbing.

As per reports from the local community, individuals of Chechen descent, including his brother, were apprehended at the location.

Law enforcement noted that the attacker was listed on the national security register.

In response to the incident, all educational institutions within the city were placed on lockdown, and heightened vigilance was urged among the police force.

Videos capturing the assault have been disseminated across various social media platforms.

Students recorded the knife attack through their classroom windows, revealing the attacker wielding a knife and targeting individuals in the school’s parking area.

Pertinently, the incident took place on the ‘Global Day of Jihad’ called on by Hamas against the Israeli retaliation of the terror attacks that led to the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis, including babies, toddlers, and infants, many of whom were burned alive by Hamas terrorists.
