Egyptian official threatens to send 1 million Palestinians to Europe

In a report from the Financial Times detailing the Egyptian government’s growing fear of a potential massive refugee crisis, an unnamed official reportedly said he would send 1 million Palestinian refugees to Europe if they were forced out of Gaza.

According to the Financial Times, a senior Egyptian official told a European counterpart: “You want us to take 1mn people? Well, I am going to send them to Europe. You care about human rights so much — well you take them.”

Israel’s saturation bombing of Gaza could become a serious problem for Europe, as hundreds of thousands of Palestinians flee south.

Other neighboring Arab states, many of whom already have substantial Palestinian refugee populations such as Jordan, are also rejecting taking in more Palestinian refugees.

“That is a red line,” King Abdullah II, who rules Jordan, told journalists, “I think that is the plan by certain of the usual suspects to try and create issues on the ground.”

“There will be no refugees in Jordan and no refugees in Egypt,” he said.

The news comes as President Joe Biden warns that Israel should not occupy the Gaza Strip, which would create serious obstacles for the U.S.’s nearly unconditional support for Israel. Biden told “60 Minutes” that it would be a “serious mistake.” The United Nations has already accused Israel of violating international law with its bombing campaign and siege of Gaza, which cut off food, water and electricity to the 2.2 million residents of Palestine.

Egypt is currently being urged by Western officials to allow Palestinians to cross its border at the Rafah crossing. However, Egypt is pushing back, and its diplomats have stated it will deliver aid but will not take any significant number of Palestinians in. For one, there is concern that Israel is pushing the refugees out of its land in order to expand into and occupy Gaza. However, the country, which is facing an economic crisis, also fears any internal instability that an exodus of Palestinians could bring to an Egypt marked by a history of political instability and terror attacks. ISIS already operates in the Sinai desert, which is the area of Egypt connected to the Gaza Strip.

Israel’s expected ground offensive has not even occurred yet, but the humanitarian situation in Gaza is already disastrous. While Hamas’ terror attack on Israel led to the deaths of 1,400 people, the ongoing bombardment in Gaza has displaced hundreds of thousands, killed 2,750, and wounded over 10,000. Gaza lacks medical supplies, electricity, and enough hospital beds for the constant flow of wounded.

Israel has ordered all of northern Gaza’s residents to clear out and head to south Gaza. The Financial Times reports that Egypt is suspicious that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is hoping to evict them into Egypt, a claim the Israeli government denies.

Egyptian state media has said that such an eviction of Gazans would “end the dream of a Palestinian state” and absolve Israel of its legal responsibilities as an “occupier.”

Michael Wahid Hanna, an analyst at the International Crisis Group, also addressed the fears of an exodus of Palestinian refugees, stating: “How many and for how long? And even if it is for temporary humanitarian protection, after the Israeli offensive maybe there will be nothing for the Palestinians to go back to. Or maybe Israel won’t let them return.”

According to the Financial Times, “Hanna noted that previous Palestinian displacements had become permanent. Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan have spent decades in those countries without any prospects of returning to their villages and towns.”

There are already 5 million Palestinian refugees in various Middle Eastern countries who have spent decades away from their villages now occupied by Israel.

Don’t fall into Hamas trap Meloni tells EU leaders

Wikimedia Commons , Vox España, CC-Zero

Premier Giorgia Meloni told EU leaders in a video-conference on the Israel-Hamas war Tuesday that the EU should not fall into Hamas’s trap of trying to derail the Abraham Accords normalisation process between Arab countries and Israel.
The Abraham Accords are bilateral agreements on Arab-Israeli normalization signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on September 15, 2020, with other countries hopefully to follow.
“Hamas’s attack appears aimed at preventing the process of normalisation started with the Abraham Accords, a trap into which Israel and all of us must avoid falling into,” Meloni told the extraordinary meeting of the European Council.
She said she had been “struck by the ferocity of the images in Israel and Hamas’s attempt to dehumanise Israeli citizens”.
She also stressed the importance of “returning to reasoning in terms of long-term solutions to the Israeli-Paletinian question, resuming the question of two peoples and two States, which must have as its premise mutual recognition and Israel’s right to existence and defence”.

France: ‘Pro-Hamas’ Leftist MP Faces Criminal Prosecution

A far-left French MP who claimed that Hamas is a “resistance movement” faces possible criminal prosecution for making an “apology for terrorism” after French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced he would be referring the MP’s comments to the public prosecutor.

MP Danièle Obono, member of the far-left La France Insoumise (LFI) led by former presidential candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon, spoke about Hamas on broadcaster Sud Radio this week and stated, “Yes, Hamas is a resistance movement. It is an Islamist political group which has an armed wing and which resists Israel.”

Obono, who is originally from the African country of Gabon, later tried to clarify her statement, writing on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. “I said that Hamas is an Islamist political group that claims to be part of the resistance to the occupation of Palestine. That’s a fact. Neither an apology, nor an endorsement, nor an endorsement for their despicable war crimes against Israeli civilians.”

She also claimed in the aftermath of the Brussels terror attack that terrorism is not linked to migration, and that the majority of terror attacks in France are carried out by French nationals.

Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin reacted to Obono’s comments regarding Hamas on X, saying, “Hamas, ‘a resistance movement’? No! It is a terrorist movement. I am contacting the public prosecutor for advocating terrorism.”

Other French politicians also slammed Obono for her remarks, including centre-right Les Republicains leader Eric Ciotti, who posted, “MP Danièle Obono declares that Hamas is a resistance group. It is a terrorist organization responsible for the massacre of elderly people, the beheading of children, and the rape of Israeli women. This statement is an apology for Islamist terrorism!”

“I have just intervened in the office of the National Assembly to request sanctions and the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of MP Obono for advocating terrorism,” he added.

Obono’s comments come after others have criticised the leader of her party, Jean-Luc Melenchon, for his stance on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Just days after Hamas slaughtered hundreds of Israeli civilians, including women and children, the LFI claimed that the massacres were an “armed offensive by Palestinian forces,” which took place in “a context of intensification of the Israeli occupation policy.”

Paris mayor Anne Hidalgo, a leftist herself and member of the Socialist Party, reacted to Melenchon and his party, saying, “Following Jean-Luc Mélenchon is a dead end. It was true yesterday; it is true today,” and added, “His stance against Israel and his refusal to condemn the terrorist organisation Hamas are untenable.”

Both the LFI and the Socialists are part of a broad leftist coalition, Nupes, but Hidalgo has called for her party to end the alliance after the LFI comments.

While most political parties across Europe have condemned Hamas’ actions, some have attempted to contextualise them, while others have stated they will never condemn the terrorist group.

Former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said he and his party DiEM25 would never condemn Hamas, saying, “Those who try very hard to extract from people like me and DiEM25 a condemnation of the attack by the Hamas guerillas will never get it.”

Varoufakis went on to claim that Palestinians live under a form of “apartheid” enacted by the Israelis, a sentiment shared by many other leftist politicians in Europe, including Spain’s acting Minister for Social Rights, Ione Belarra.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrations have also been seen throughout Western Europe, despite the fact that some have been banned, such as in France and Austria.

Austrian police in Vienna were inundated with hundreds of complaints over a pro-Palestine rally in the city’s iconic, central Stephansplatz that, despite being illegal, was allowed to continue for hours.

A man who had shouted “I will behead the members of the state institution, policemen and gendarmes” on the RER D train was, according to our information, arrested by officers of the Melun railway security agency for glorifying terrorism at Savigny-le-Temple in the Seine-et-Marne department at 7.47 pm on Tuesday October 17.

David F., 47, Congolese legally resident in France and not listed in the criminal record (TAJ) or known to the territorial intelligence service, was taken into custody by the Moissy-Cramayel police officers, a police source told Valeurs actuelles. No passenger was threatened by the suspect.

Are You Sure a Changing Climate Causes Severe Weather? Is so-called “consensus” a valid way to judge climate change?

If you can’t convince all the people with straight-forward advocacy, then conduct a poll and use the results to convince anyone who will listen. Lately, this tactic would seem to be AP’s preferred mode of operation. Abe Lincoln said it somewhat differently.

This time AP thought better of running out its climate guru Seth Borentein to unveil another of his well-worn stories regarding who’s more at fault for weather-related disasters—mankind or Mother Nature—and assessing the blame for “man-made” climate change.

It should be realized (but generally is not) that AP, Reuters, and certain other MSM outlets have been gifted several million in grants from one or another of the George Soros-connected charitable foundations. The grants are intended to nudge public opinion in the direction of accepting the scientifically (unsupportable) position that man-made climate change is the principal underlying cause of adverse weather events in recent decades.

Detailed re-analyses of weather data going back to 1950 and earlier show that assertion is not true, but the fact does not deter alarmists from spreading their message of doom and gloom.

But if an AP survey is to be given due credence, then the propaganda campaign in the MSM may in fact be doing exactly what its purveyors intend. The MSM invests considerable time and effort to spread alarmist narratives, so that the casual reader should not be surprised to learn that the AP’s interviewees harbored the opinions they expressed.

Most of us tend to have short memories. Very few present-day Americans even recall hearing about the desperate period of the 1930s, when the Great Depression and “Dust Bowl” with its prolonged heat waves and continent-wide drought became routine across the United States.

Today’s weather announcers often do not report true temperature readings but a calculated “heat index” that factors in the effect of humidity and lack of wind, to come up with a subjective temperature referred to as “real-feel.” It is the number most of us will hear or see tonight on TV.

It should also come as no surprise that the AP pollsters were able to get the kind of public responses they quote. AP reporters also took trouble to include some candid musings of a “Republican”, whom they portrayed as poster-child for those abominable “climate deniers.”

The hard-core among alarmists habitually launch ad hominem attacks every time they label skeptics as “climate-deniers.”

The better-informed among the climate realists are no such thing. As a group, they firmly believe climate changes—and naturally. Climate has changed at its own pace—at times faster, at other times more slowly—ever since Earth first acquired its oceans and atmosphere.

These conscientious skeptics just don’t believe humans play an important part in the overall process. Anthropogenic effects are mostly confined to highly developed urban and industrialized areas, where the urban heat island effect and changes in land use practice play important roles—and where the majority of weather stations used to compile the record are actually sited.

The existing network of rural recording stations is comparatively scant to even non-existent in the more remote regions of the globe. This circumstance introduces a built-in upward bias despite efforts to compile representative temperatures for specific locations, let alone construct a meaningful world average.

The upshot is an unresolved disparity that exists between urban (ostensibly well monitored) areas and the remaining 99% of the Earth’s surface. The dynamics of the atmosphere above our heads is overwhelmingly determined by natural influences, even now in the 21st Century, as it has been over the eons.

Notably the AP article quickly disappeared from the Newsmax queue sometime between 8AM on the day I first noticed it and 11 AM later the same morning. I wonder if a tsunami of protest didn’t arrive at the editor’s desk, coincidentally.

The past summer’s heat wave in the US southwest is not unique. Heat waves have happened here and in other regions countless times in these United States and around the world. Lay people do not necessarily appreciate the expanse and dominance that natural variation plays in determining whether a location experiences blue-bird weather or events of the extreme kind. With enough media encouragement, we may be very much prone to mistake just another heat-wave for the coming Apocalypse.

Part of the problem is that our society likes to teach that we have an innate right to expect something like an idyllic Camelot when in reality most who live on the planet are subject to the vagaries of severe weather at some point in their lives—or from some other form of natural calamity. No presidential executive order or legislative statute can do much to prevent its happening.

Some knew better. The AP has attempted to cobble together a handful of quotes from the subjects surveyed, combining them with the opinions of an academic sociologist. But he has no particular expertise for judging the pros and cons of the climate-change debate, one way or the other.

A tendency to rely on the opinions of lay persons or academics not directly involved the fray is another example of how climate-change alarmists will attempt to force-feed their politically biases into an immature science through by promoting a popular consensus. No legitimate field of science has ever been constructed or allowed to mature on the sole basis of popular consensus.

Premature consensus is anathema to the proper function of the scientific method, whether in quantum mechanics or climate science.6+

CANADA: Trans-Identified Male Facing Trial For Brutal Murder, Mutilation Of Acquaintance

A trans-identified male in Canada is facing charges of murder after the slaughter and mutilation of a man that left a crime scene so grisly neighbors called it “the house from hell.”

Gabriella Sears, born Dereck Donald Sears, has been in custody since his arrest in 2021. Sears was charged with second degree murder and interference with human remains in the death of Darren Middleton, 49, whose body was found at a home on Sycamore Road in Kelowna, British Columbia.

According to Crown prosecutors, Middleton’s corpse was “beaten and mutilated,” with his penis and testicles being partially or fully removed. Middleton’s partially clothed body was found lying next to a bathtub with the water running, and four weapons were found at the scene, including a retractable utility knife and a baseball bat.

Middleton had died of blunt force trauma to the head, but had stab wounds and defensive injuries. Many of his wounds were inflicted post-mortem. Many of the details surrounding the killing had remained unreleased since 2021 and are being heard for the first time during court testimony which began on Monday, October 16.

Sears and Middleton were known to each other, with the victim’s common-law wife, Brenda Adams, revealing to the court that Sears had been employed to do odd-jobs for Middleton on occasion. Just days before the murder, Sears, who was seen with a full beard in his booking photo, reportedly stated he had begun to identify as a woman named “Gabby.”

Middleton’s partner was the first to discover his mutilated body in a bath tub at Sears’ residence. Middleton had not returned home from work by 9 pm on the evening of June 16, 2021. After several phone calls and attempts to locate him, Adams then decided to visit Sears’ house. She arrived at 1 am and followed the sound of running water to the bathroom, where she found Middleton slain.

Adams noted that the gash in his throat was so deep she could “see right inside.” She also stated that he was not wearing his own clothes, but had been dressed in someone else’s clothing.

She testified that she saw her partner’s penis, cut in half, lying on his abdomen, that a blade could be seen near his crotch, and that she knew right away that he was deceased.

The woman ran from the house, screaming, and called her daughter in shock. As she fled, she told the court that she saw Sears in the middle of the road, dancing with his eyes closed and his arms in the air, as though he was listening to music. Police were alerted and arrived to the scene shortly after.

In 2021, Sears was charged under his given name of Dereck. Local news reports indicate that he adopted the name “Gabriella” after his arrest.

According to submissions made by Crown prosecutor David Grabavac in September, Sears had confessed to the brutal murder, accusing Middleton of sexually assaulting him and claiming the murder was in retaliation to the assault.

However, two separate confessions made by Sears have recently been ruled inadmissible after Sears’ lawyer argued that these incriminating statements were “spontaneous submissions” made before he had legal representation.

The defense also asserted that a strip search and swabbing conducted upon Sears following his arrest was traumatic and insensitive in light of his claim that he had been sexually abused by the victim.

Coverage of the crime has changed dramatically over the years, with initial reports referring to Sears as male and more recent articles describing him as a “woman” and using feminine pronouns for him.

The trial is expected to continue this week, with police and the victim’s common-law wife taking the stand once again.

Germany’s Great Replacement: Small village of 2,500 rebels against plans to house nearly 900 migrants

Munich’s Johanneskirchen district. (Wikimedia Commons)

Residents in a small village-like district of Munich, which is located near the rural outskirts of the city, are rebelling openly against more migrants in the neighborhood which is already struggling with 400.

In a story that is playing out across Germany, the Johanneskirchen district is fighting against the demographic transformation. The movement against mass migrant resettlement in the small district is being led by a cardiology doctor, Alexander Leber, who has three daughters, along with dozens of citizens from the area.

“They have a screw loose,” said Leber, who helps run a website for their citizens’ initiative.

There should be two new migrant shelters built directly in the small space, one with 284 places on Mirabellerweg and another at Glücksburger Street with 190 places. The problem is the town already has 400 migrants housed in a former hotel near its train station.

“Johanneskirchen is like a village. Then we have almost 900 refugees per 2500 inhabitants. The new accommodations are coming to the open field – there is no infrastructure there at all. How are the people supposed to be integrated there? There’s no concept either!” writes Leber.

Leber told Bild newspaper that while there have been no issues with migrants “yet,” the fact that so many are coming at one time is deeply problematic.

The local government, the district committee, is also skeptical of the plans, noting that there is no room for children and young people in the local schools. As Remix News has reported, Germany’s growing diversity in the school system has led to a major crisis, falling standards, and deep conflicts within schools.

Leber, along with his fellow campaigners Verena Kerth and Martin Krug, also notes a disturbing trend from liberals.

“Red-Green is pushing all the refugees into the outer districts. There are also empty office buildings and hotels in the city center. Why don’t they put people there? Don’t the city councils want refugees in their own neighborhoods?”

The spokesman of Munich social services, Frank Boos, defended the decision, stating that there are few suitable places in the city.

“Where there is a good infrastructure, there are usually no suitable areas available for housing. Almost all municipalities, including Munich, are confronted with this. We therefore have to rely on compromises,” stated Boos.

However, the unequal distribution of migrants in Munich is well documented. The wealthiest districts of Herzogpark, Altbogenhausen  and Parkstadt, as well as Oberföhring all have been able to avoid any refugee accommodation plans, while the rural outskirts of Munich have seen a large influx of such residents.

In fact, this same trend holds true throughout the world, with liberal Whites fleeing from diversity or pushing on to other locales. For example, this trend is well documented in Paris.

Similar battles are taking place in other areas of Germany, including in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In the city of Grevesmühle, 91 percent of the town’s residents voted against a container village for migrants, however, the mayor argued that migrants would just be housed elsewhere, including tents, in the city. Senior citizens are being removed from their homes in a variety of cities, including Berlin and in southern Germany, to make room for migrants. In the village of Uphal, 500 residents were forced to accept 400 migrants despite fierce resistance from local citizens.

Germany’s left-wing government is currently promoting more immigrants for Germany. Recent polling shows that support for the ruling government has hit a record low, while the anti-immigrant AfD has soared to a record 23 percent. Germans rate immigration as their number one issue by a large degree, with 44 percent saying it is the most pressing concern. Another poll from this month showed that 64 percent of Germans believe the country should accept fewer migrants, and the same number say migrants bring more disadvantages than advantages.

Spanish Leftists demand recognition of Palestine in return for coalition participation

Leftists in Spain have demanded that the country’s next government officially recognise the state of Palestine in return for them joining a planned rainbow coalition.

Having lost the country’s latest general election to his Right-wing rivals earlier this year, incumbent Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez now requires unanimous support from Spain’s various Left-wing groups if he wishes to hold on to power.

Such support will likely not come cheap, with the Sumar party saying that it will only join up with Sánchez if he recognises Palestine as a sovereign country.

“We believe that the time has come for Spain to recognise the Palestinian state unilaterally, unconditionally and urgently as an essential contribution to the resolution of the conflict and to peace,” party spokesman Ernest Urtasun MEP said.

“We want this to be one of the first measures to be taken by the next coalition government,” the MEP added.

“The best way to guarantee the aspirations of both sides is the solution of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security. The final status of Jerusalem should be the outcome of these negotiations.”

If Sánchez accepts the demand, he would be putting Spain at odds with much of the Western world. The US, France and Germany among others all take firmly pro-Israel stances concerning the ongoing conflict in the region.

Such support has not stopped the Spanish Government from rallying behind Palestine previously. Spain acted alongside Ireland, Portugal and Luxembourg to torpedo European Commission plans to completely axe European Union aid to the region.

Elements of the incumbent coalition have taken matters a step further. Social rights minister Ione Belarra has demanded Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be brought before the International Criminal Court over alleged “war crimes”.

She also encouraged people across Europe to hold protests in favour of Palestine, an action that has been banned in some parts of the EU, such as France.

Israel has reacted badly to Belerra’s declaration, accusing the Spanish Government of choosing to align itself with “ISIS-type terrorism”.

“These statements are not only absolutely immoral, but they also endanger the security of Spain’s Jewish communities, exposing them to the risk of a greater number of anti-Semetic incidents and attacks,” the Israeli Embassy to Spain posted online.

It went on to call for Spain’s Prime Minister to “unequivocally denounce and condemn these shameful statements”.

Half of Germans Support AfD’s Participation in Government

AfD Logo

While every party represented in the Bundestag has so far ruled out governing with the AfD—and as some members inside the ‘center-right’ CDU plot to have the right-wing, anti-globalist party banned outright—nearly half of the German population supports the party participating in government, a new opinion poll suggests.

The survey, carried out by the Civey Opinion Research Institute for the liberal newspaper Der Spiegel, indicated that 47% of respondents nationwide said they would find it acceptable if the AfD were involved in governments at the state level in the future, reflecting a massive disconnect between the opinions held by the German public and those of the country’s political establishment.

At the same time, 47% were opposed to the idea, while the remaining 6% were indifferent to the prospect of the AfD entering into government.

At 55%, support for the AfD’s participation in government is, quite unsurprisingly, significantly higher in eastern Germany, considered the party’s geographical stronghold. In states like BrandenburgSaxony, and Thuringia, the party is polling well ahead of the other parties, between 32% and 35%.

With support levels this high, it makes it difficult to imagine the formation of a governing coalition without the AfD in states such as these. The durability of the cordon sanitaire, or ‘firewall,’ as they call it in Germany, put in place against the AfD by the old establishment parties will be put to the test next fall when the state elections in Saxony, Brandenburg, and Thuringia are held.

Cracks in the firewall have already appeared in the east. In August, for example, Thuringia’s pro-business FDP chief Thomas Kemmerich said that, in some cases, his party plans to vote together with the AfD following next year’s elections.

“We should stop discussing who enforces what with whom, but we should discuss: What should be enforced?” he said.

Only days after Kemmerich made his comments, several leading Thuringian CDU politicians, including MP Michael Heym, Ralph Luther, who has served as a district administrator in southern Thuringia for over two decades, and Ralph Liebaug, the Chairman of the CDU in Schmalkalden-Meiningen, all argued in favor of dismantling of the firewall

Meanwhile, in western Germany, where the AfD enjoys notable but considerably less support, 44% of those surveyed see no problem with the AfD taking or sharing the reins of power. That said, popular opinion in the western states is shifting in the direction of the AfD. Following AfD’s relatively strong performance in Bavarian and Hessen state elections a little more than a week ago, the party’s co-chief Alice Weidel asserted that the AfD is no longer merely an “eastern phenomenon” but a “pan-German people’s party.”

A further indication that Weidel’s assertion may be true came days ago when an ARD Deutschlandtrend poll revealed nationwide support for the AfD climbed to a new record high.

“New record also in the ARD Germany trend: The AfD is now at 23% here too! In addition, 50% of citizens would like the AfD to be in government where it has performed strongly. A great confirmation of our work!” Weidel wrote on social media.
