Germany: AfD at 35 percent – well ahead of the CDU

The AfD is in first place in the state, according to an Insa poll – clearly ahead of the CDU of Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer. The AfD comes to 35 percent, as the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” (LVZ) reported on Thursday. In Saxony, the next state election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.53 percent – and thus a majority of respondents – were dissatisfied with the current state government. 41 percent said they were satisfied, six percent did not give any information.

One year before the state elections in Saxony, the AfD is in first place in the state, according to an Insa poll – clearly ahead of the CDU of Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer. The AfD comes to 35 percent, as the “Leipziger Volkszeitung” (LVZ) reported on Thursday. The CDU stands at 29 percent. The LVZ had commissioned the survey together with the “Freie Presse” and the “Sächsische Zeitung”.

Nine percent of respondents would vote for the Left Party, seven percent for the SPD, six percent for the Greens and five percent for the FDP. This would probably not be enough for a continuation of the current ruling coalition of CDU, SPD and Greens. In Saxony, the next state election is scheduled for September 1, 2024.

53 percent – and thus a majority of respondents – were dissatisfied with the current state government. 41 percent said they were satisfied, six percent did not give any information. On the other hand, 51 percent are satisfied with Prime Minister Kretschmer, according to the Insa survey.

Election polls are generally always fraught with uncertainty. Among other things, declining party loyalties and increasingly short-term election decisions make it difficult for polling institutes to weigh the data collected. Insa gives a statistical margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 percentage points. In principle, polls only reflect the opinion at the time of the survey and are not forecasts of the election outcome.

Dutch family threatened with losing their children finds asylum in Poland

Source: Polish Ministry of Justice/YouTube.

A Dutch doctor and his wife who believe they have been victims of malicious rumors of child neglect have found safe harbor in Poland after Dutch and Belgian authorities threatened to take four of their children away.

A Polish court revoked the European Arrest Warrant issued against Dr. Leonard Hermans by Belgian police. Unlike officials in the Netherlands and Belgium, Poland did not see any grounds for handing the children over to Dutch authorities and arresting their father.

The family has found refuge in Poland, and their case was the subject of a press conference in Poland’s justice ministry. Speaking at the conference, Leonard Hermans said that Poland is a country that does not interfere in the lives of ordinary happy families.

Deputy Justice Minister Marcin Warchoł said that the case was further evidence that Poland is a country that takes family policy seriously and protects it. It takes action against real abuse but it does not take children from their parents on the basis of spurious or anonymous claims nor because of financial problems a family may face.

Hermans thanked the Polish authorities for their stance and said he and his family would be happy to stay in Poland. He observed that the Netherlands is a country that often accuses Poland of rule of law violations when it is the Netherlands that ruthlessly and persistently abuses citizens’ rights and breaks up families.

Leonard Hermans is an optician, and his wife is a lawyer. They run a real estate business and have four children aged from 7 to 15. The sister of Dr. Herman has become engaged in a conflict with her siblings over a family inheritance, and in retaliation, she informed on Dr. Herman’s wife to the Veilig Thuis organization, the Dutch equivalent of Germany’s child welfare agency, Jugendamt, alleging child neglect. The parents were not able to access the files of the case, but the authorities took a decision to place the children into foster care.

The family migrated to Germany but were tracked down by the Belgian authorities. On receiving a court order, the father fled with the family to Poland. The parents were then tried in absentia and sentenced to 4 years in prison for kidnapping their children.

A Polish court has waived the European Arrest Warrant issued on the Dutch doctor by Belgium. It dismissed the evidence provided by the Belgian authorities and allowed the family to stay in Poland.

Bill Gates and others behind massive deforestation scheme, for ‘global warming’ of course

screen grab twitter

By Olivia Murray

We’re being held hostage by “green” megalomaniacs with man boobs, and CIA-linked eco-terrorists.

As reported by Joshua Philipp, investigative reporter and host of the Epoch TV’s Crossroads program, Bill Gates’s company Breakthrough Energy Ventures is a main player behind a new deforestation scheme. Per Philipp, Gates and “other investors” have contributed $6.6 million in a “stealth effort” to a California startup called Kodama Systems, which is offering a “novel” approach to the net zero agenda.

Wondering who those “other investors” might be? Well for one, a woman named Jackie Kossman; Kossman is a partner at Congruent Ventures, a San Francisco-based investment firm, and according to her company bioshe previously worked for In-Q-Tel (the venture capital firm of U.S. government intelligence agencies, notably the CIA).

So what does Kodama Systems have in mind? Well, the company is launching efforts to deforest about seventy million acres, or around 110,00 square miles of trees, and then bury the biomass, all with the help of the U.S. Forest Service. (For referencethe entire state of Nevada is also 110,000 square miles.) Yes really, they’re going to waste the wood instead of turning it into lumber, despite there apparently being a “housing crisis” with not enough homes on the market, and despite skyhigh lumber prices, allegedly due to supply and demand and supply chain issues. Watch a clip from Philipp below:

As Philipp states, the initiative would remove “1 billion tons of bone-dried biomass” but I have to wonder if they intend to ax live trees too; from the MIT Technology Review, another CIA-linked institution, reporting on the deforestations plans:

Forest experts have long warned that decades of overly aggressive fire suppression policies in the US have produced dense, overgrown forests that significantly increase the risk of major conflagrations when wildfires inevitably occur.

Of course, my initial reaction is one of supreme annoyance to the admission that “overly aggressive fire suppression policies” were actually destructive to the environment, rather than helpful. Anyone with a functioning brain could have told you, with complete confidence, that when a bureaucracy, or twiddling-their-thumbs unconstitutionally-minded legislators develop policy, the “solution” is going to be worse than the “problem.” The government has a “Midas Touch” of sorts, although everything it touches turns to dung instead of gold — not such a good deal for we, the citizenry.

The obvious reality is, that at some point, “scientists” and “experts” promised there was a problem, and the solution was “fire suppression” policies. Things went from copacetic, to imbalanced — they created a problem where one didn’t exist! Now, “scientists” and “experts” are saying we need to chop down trees and bury them? These ideas are becoming more and more ludicrous by the minute. It took me all of .41 seconds to find a litany of pro-climate change sources highlighting the importance of “deadwood” in the health of forests and the ecosystem as a whole… so we should strip it all away? Start the clock, because it’s only a matter of time before MIT publishes another article, touting some “novel” idea to fix the “overly aggressive carbon reduction policies” of 2023.

I also have to ask, how do these geniuses plan to chop down 110,000 square miles of trees, and move enough dirt required to entomb trees that for comparison, would blanket the entire state of Nevada? Here’s another reference, the Empire State Building weighs 365,000 tons (and remember the initiative plans to remove 1 billion tons), so roughly, the equivalent is 2,740 Empire State Buildings.

Obviously they’ll need heavy machinery, and a lot of it. How much diesel will they burn to complete the project? (Now, I personally don’t believe humanity’s use of petroleum products is creating an existential threat, but these clowns do, so how do they justify it?)

If the “need” to “offset” carbon were actually a real problem, this would be the exact wrong way to do it. Remove the carbon consumers to fight “too much” carbon. Make it make sense.

Just like socialism is still socialism even when “democratic” comes before it, green tyranny is still… tyranny.

Germany: Afghan rams knife into neck of “infidel” German ex

Regional Court in Dresden,DCB, Wikimedia Commons, CC-BY-SA-3.0

The Regional Court in Dresden sentenced Mohammad Omid A. (26) to nine years in prison on Thursday. The Afghan stabbed his ex-girlfriend Sabrina G. (23) in her flat in January 2023, ramming a combat knife into her neck and chest while their son (1) was in the next room. The young mother barely survived the attempted murder.

Mohammad Omid A. had come to Germany as a refugee in 2015. Five years ago, he met the young woman in Meißen and they both moved to Dresden. The young mother reported in court that he chastised her with kicks and blows, isolating her from her friends. “He kept me like a slave,” said the housekeeper, who was the sole breadwinner for the family.

In October 2022, the young mother separated from the Afghan, applied for sole custody – yet he was still allowed to see his son regularly. On January 4, 2023, the situation escalated in her flat. He accused her of having a new boyfriend and pulled out the knife. “Are you going to kill me now?” Sabrina G. asked her ex-boyfriend – then he stabbed her.

During the trial it came out that Mohammad Omid A. had announced to his family in Afghanistan that he would kill his ex-girlfriend. When the young woman was lying on the floor bleeding and screaming for help, he stuffed the baby’s spit-up cloth into her mouth, took a photo of the victim covered in blood and sent it to his mother.

Unbelievable: According to the mobile phone analysis, his mother allegedly replied that he should not bother with the infidel and grab his son. However, Mohammad Omid A. called a friend while still in the flat, who finally convinced him to call the police.

The emergency services rushed to Maternistraße in Dresden, a policewoman took the child out of the flat. The young mother was brought to the hospital seriously injured, still has signs of paralysis in her arm and large scars on her body and soul.

Judge Jürgen Scheuring (55) said to the Afghan: “What kind of person are you? From the act itself, it was attempted murder!” But because the accused then called the police, he had – as the lawyers say – withdrawn from the crime and was therefore only convicted of dangerous bodily harm.

Customer Receives Defaced Tucker Carlson Book from Amazon

Glenn Dobbs was shocked when he opened an Amazon box containing the new biography “Tucker,” by Chadwick Moore, to find the cover had been defaced with a Hitler-style mustache drawn on Tucker Carlson’s face.

“When I first took the book out of the box, I immediately saw that and I just kind of did a double take,” the Washington state resident told The Western Journal.

“I couldn’t believe that someone in business would do something like that. And then I looked at it more closely. It was obvious that someone had taken a felt tip and just drew a Hitler-type mustache on the cover. So it was quite a shock, to say the least,” Dobbs added.

The customer said he immediately wrote a review on Amazon, only to have the company inform him his review would not be published, because it violated company rules.

UK: Students kicked out of university accommodation weeks before term starts to make way for migrants

Students at an English university who had signed accommodation agreements set to begin in September have been told to find somewhere else to live after the building was taken over by the Home Office to house illegal migrants.

A total of 168 students had already made payments to the landlord ahead of moving into the luxury HD1 studio flats to start attending their university courses next month; some students had already been residing in the apartment building after extending their stay from last year.

However, the property manager, Prestige Student Living, has now confirmed that their agreements have been “terminated with immediate effect.”

This follows an agreement reached between Hudd Student Management, the property’s landlord, and Home Office contractor Serco to repurpose the accommodation for migrants arriving in Britain from the English Channel.

“This decision is beyond the control of Prestige Student Living. Our team took immediate action to inform students and help them secure alternative accommodation in Huddersfield and return all payments made to us,” the property manager said in a statement.

“We deeply sympathize with the students affected by the news and will do all we can to support them,” it added.

The luxury student accommodation comprises “boutique studio rooms” with a “comfy bed, private en-suite bathroom, a large study space, ample storage space, and modern kitchenette,” according to a website advertising the accommodation.

It boasts, among other things, a cinema room, a games area, a gym, and a communal lounge.

In response to the news, a Home Office spokesperson said: “We have always been upfront about the unprecedented pressure being put on our asylum system, brought about by a significant increase in dangerous and illegal journeys into the country.”

“We continue to work across government and with local authorities to identify a range of accommodation options. The government remains committed to engaging with local authorities and key stakeholders as part of this process,” they added.

The U.K. government has sought to relocate hundreds of asylum seekers from expensive hotel accommodations to more sustainable living arrangements in recent months after it emerged taxpayers are paying more than £6 million per day to house new arrivals.

Migrants are being moved to disused army bases, student accommodations, and floating barges in a bid to reduce the financial burden on the Treasury.

The Key to Understanding the Global Warming Fraud

By Guy K. Mitchell, Jr.

As vice president, Al Gore led the negotiations to establish the U.N. Kyoto Protocol in 1998.  The Kyoto Protocol was a “climate treaty” ostensibly designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by the signatories during the period 2005–2012 to a level equivalent to 95% of each country’s 1990 emissions.  While it did not introduce any new scientific means to reduce CO2 emissions (worldwide CO2 emissions grew by 32% during the period), the Kyoto Protocol introduced a novel economic concept: the trading of carbon credits and offsets.

At first, the concept of trading carbon credits was straightforward; it was known as “cap and trade.”  Each country was allocated a level of carbon emissions each year by the signatories to the agreement based on an annual targeted reduction in carbon emissions to reach the goal.  If a country or emitter expected to exceed its cap, it could “trade” or buy unused carbon credits from other countries that expected to emit less than their cap.  However, if a country failed to meet its emissions target and did not purchase carbon credits, the protocol required it to make up the difference in the second commitment period, with an additional 30% penalty.

On December 15, 2011, Canada withdrew from the treaty to avoid paying $14 billion in fines for emissions greater than its cap.  Shortly thereafter, the treaty fell apart.  However, a star was born: a new commodities market with huge growth potential.

At first, only developing countries that were signatories to climate treaties stood to profit by selling unused carbon credits to developed countries that exceeded their cap.  This fact limited the developed countries from profiting in the trading of carbon credits.  Therefore, a new concept was developed: the funding of alternative energy investments (wind and solar generation) in developing countries.  The rationale used to sell the concept was simple: get developed nations to reduce carbon emissions and keep developing nations from growing them.  The result should be an overall reduction in CO2 emissions.

Then, at the climate conference in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt, in November 2022, the secretary general of the U.N., António Guterres, came up with an even more radical idea.  Pay climate reparations to the developing nations on the order of $4–6 trillion per year.  China immediately reasserted its status as a developing nation.  In November 2022, U.S. president Joe Biden, Indonesian president Joko Widodo, and other world leaders announced an initial $20-billion deal to help Indonesia get off coal power in exchange for a commitment to cap power sector emissions at 290 million tonnes by 2030.  Indonesia had 18.8 gigawatts of coal power under construction by the end of 2022.  This amount exceeds all other countries except China and India.  It’s also nearly half of Indonesia’s current coal capacity, which stands at 40.6 GW.

The race was officially on to get to “net zero” by 2050 to reduce worldwide carbon emissions and create carbon sinks so that the amount of man-made CO2 emissions would equal what nature absorbs.  The race was also officially on to establish a new worldwide industry.  Global investment firms created new organizations and funds to trade carbon credits and offsets, as well as arrange financing for alternative energy projects.  Carbon offsetting began in 1989, when Applied Energy Services, a coal power plant producer in the U.S., planted 52 million trees in an agroforest in Guatemala to offset coal power emission in Connecticut.  Owners of land with trees could sell carbon credits to market makers for sale to emitters.  There was something for everyone!  The carbon sink market gained momentum.  Companies evolved to certify carbon sink credits.  How would the carbon dioxide molecules emitted in Connecticut find their new home in the trees in Guatemala?

Al Gore and his partner from Goldman Sachs were among the first to see the profit potential and established their firm in London in 2004, a year before the Kyoto Protocol became effective.  In 2011, BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, entered the fray, offering a “renewables-only” equity fund.  Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and others soon followed.  The worldwide market for trading carbon was estimated to be $10 billion in 2004, it grew to $800 billion by 2018, and it was estimated to be $1 trillion by the end of 2021.

The carbon trading market is estimated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 18.6% and have a value of $2.68 trillion by the end of 2028.  According to the International Energy Agency, $20 trillion will be invested in “clean energy” projects like wind and solar generation during the years 2026–2030 to achieve “net zero.”  Around 60% will be funded by private investment and 40% by public investment.

It would be expected that global investment firms will manage the sourcing of the capital, package the loans, and syndicate their sales to countries that qualify for such financial assistance.  Normally, investment banks get a percentage of the loan value to put the deal together and manage the process, in addition to any fees that clients might pay for the firms to invest their money in the deal.

By 2018, BlackRock, Vanguard, and State Street dominated the passive index fund industry.  Together they managed over 90 percent of all assets under management in passive equity funds, estimated to be $8–10 trillion, and they were the largest shareholder in 88% of the U.S. S&P 500 firms.

To say that these firms can influence the decisions of the management and directors of these corporations would be an understatement.  The chairman of BlackRock is on record as stating that companies in their portfolio must take the necessary steps to decarbonize.

For those companies in industries like steel manufacturers, automakers, machinery manufacturers, aviation, foundries, and others who can’t change their carbon footprint, there is good news: BlackRock can sell you carbon credits to offset your emissions to get to net zero. You don’t emit less carbon; you emit less profit.  However, your shareholders, while poorer, just feel better.

Belgium: An illegal prayer room in the middle of the Free University of Brussels (ULB); the same university admits that the phenomenon has increased since this summer (VIDEO)

Screen grab

La Libre revealed on Monday evening, via a text by secular activist Nadia Geerts, that clandestine prayers were being organised in the middle of the Free University of Brussels. Jean-Philippe Schreiber, advisor to the rector on institutional policy, reacted on Tuesday morning, acknowledging that “students gather to pray in an illegal way. Since this summer, the phenomenon has intensified”.

La Libre has managed to obtain hidden camera videos showing one of these gatherings.

The University in Brussels (ULB) admits: “Students gather to pray in an illegal way. Since this summer, the phenomenon has increased”.

[…]
Are there officially established prayer rooms at the ULB? “No”, replies Mr Schreiber. Certainly, we know that students regularly get together to pray here and there in an illegal way. In recent years, we have been of the opinion that this is an insignificant and marginal phenomenon, and had no intention of conducting the police on attitudes in our ranks. For some time, especially since this summer, the phenomenon has increased and is hindering the conduct of our educational activities, so at the beginning of this academic year we will remind our students that we do not authorise the establishment of places of prayer. DEEP STATE TACTICS? As with Trump, Bolsonaro is Being Relentlessly Interrogated by the Feds

The conservative former president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, was summoned to testify this Thursday, August 31. This is the fifth time the former president has appeared before the Federal Police, in a case of legal persecution like that faced by President Donald Trump in the U.S.

Legal harassment of popular conservative figures in the West reflects leftist tactics to remove people like Bolsonaro and Trump from the political scene.

In Brazil, the revocation of Jair Bolsonaro’s political rights is another indication of the path taken by the left, as reported by TGP.
