AfD’s top candidate makes waves, says EU is a ‘catastrophe for Germany and Europe’

MEP Maximilian Krah has referred to the Great Replacement in previous speeches, placing him in the crosshairs of Germany’s domestic spy apparatus.

The German press has been in near hysteria about the anti-immigration Alternative for Germany’s (AfD) new top candidate for the European Parliament, Maximilian Krah.

Krah is seen as belonging to the ethno-nationalist wing of the party, or at least that is how he has been portrayed by establishment media outlets. He also has a skeptical view of the European Union, saying during an interview with Junge Freiheit that today’s European Union is a “catastrophe for Germany and Europe.” The interview was conducted shortly after he was elected as the lead candidate at a party congress on Saturday in Magdeburg.

“We say quite clearly: The EU of today is a disaster for Germany and Europe in terms of its agenda and structure. But we also say: There must be a European policy, there must be institutional cooperation, and this must take place in a new federation of fatherlands,” Krah told Junge Freiheit.

“In order to get from the unsatisfactory status quo to the desired future status, there will be a juxtaposition of disruption and evolution; many authorities and structures will simply have to go, others will have to be transformed. The term ‘dissolution of the EU’ is (not appropriate) for this process; it invites misinterpretation and insinuation on the part of our political opponents. In this respect, I do not use it.”

In another interview conducted yesterday with Deutschlandfunk, he stated that the EU is a bureaucratic “monster.” In the past, he has also referred to the EU as a “vassal of the United States.”

Krah opposes mass immigration, recognizes ethnic Germans

Krah’s past statements also show that the AfD is serious about topics such as the Great Replacement, specifically referring to the term in 2018 while describing then Chancellor Angela Merkel’s immigration policies.

“‘Repopulation’ refers to government action that brings about a fundamental change in the ethnic composition of the population of a specific area. (…) The Great Replacement sounds harsh, ugly, uncomfortable. The Great Replacement sounds like knife attacks, rape and Islamization. It sounds like government understanding of violent criminals and political discrimination of the protest directed against (this policy). So, the Great Replacement sounds like the reality in Merkel’s Germany. This is exactly why the term should be taboo. Because it expresses the truth.”

In 2019, he gave a speech in which he referred to the German “ethnic people” in comparison to the German “state people,” saying that they are not necessarily the same thing. According to the AfD politician, the German ethnic people are the “true sovereign” and within the meaning of the Basic Law and could even override this Basic Law and form a new constitution.

He also said, according to a 2018 article, that “the current mass immigration is not a ‘moral imperative’ to help the poor (and) persecuted. It is the implementation of the crazy idea of having to make Europe ‘colorful’ and transform the European peoples into a mixed population. Except that the immigrants don’t stick to that idea; they do not want to be part of a degenerate, colorful and ‘diverse’ population, but come as colonizers.”

Krah has said in the past that he rejects the term “conservative” for himself and the AfD and instead describes the AfD’s affiliation as “right-wing.”

AfD in the crosshairs

While Krah was selected to lead the AfD’s European Parliament list at the party’s conference in Magdeburg, his views have already put him in the crosshairs of Germany’s left-liberal establishment and the powerful Office of the Protection of the Constitution (BfV). The head of the BfV, Thomas Haldenwang, said that the party’s conference confirms the BfV’s designation that the party is a “suspected threat” to Germany’s constitution. He also said that the AfD’s moderate wing played hardly any role in the party’s conference and that the term Great Replacement was used four times by speakers and was promoting “right-extremist conspiracy theories.”

As Remix News has reported in the past, Thomas Haldenwang, who is a member of the rival Christian Democrats (CDU), has gone on the offensive against the AfD, raising fears that the domestic intelligence agency was being weaponized against the AfD and used to keep the party from the political process. The BfV is widely believed to be working toward a ban of the party, a measure complicated by the fact that the AfD is currently the second most popular party in the nation, with the most recent INSA poll placing the party at 23 percent.

During his Junge Freiheit interview this week, Krah responded to the BfV, saying: “The Office for the Protection of the Constitution is a political authority and acts in exactly that way. The aim here is to damage the competition right from the start. We will also advocate that this special German approach to government protection be looked at in Brussels and that the question finally be asked: Is this actually compatible with European values of democracy and the separation of powers?”

Asked what EU parliamentary faction the AfD will join, Krah said: “We already have a parliamentary group, we are part of the parliamentary group for Identity and Democracy. I was in Rome last week with Parliament President Lorenzo Fontana, the number two in Italy and one of Matteo Salvini’s closest friends,” he said.

“We immediately agreed that our joint work in Brussels, but also in Berlin, Rome, Paris, Vienna and so on, is getting better and better. Our voters trust us, and their numbers measure how we are doing. I hope for a strong result and the power to shape parliament and the parliamentary group that comes with it.”

In recent months, the AfD has enjoyed a popularity surge across the country, having had its first mayor elected at the beginning of July and its first district administrator in late June.

Because he proved that there were also white slaves: The German University of Erlangen cancels reading by ancient historian Egon Flaig

Ancient historian Flaig: Victims of North Korea-like woke excesses at German universities (Photo:ScreenshotYoutube)

The cancel culture, vehemently denied by those who exercise it, is showing its totalitarianism more and more undisguised in Germany as well. Its latest victim is the well-known ancient historian Egon Flaig. He was invited by the archaeologist Andreas Grüner of the Friedrich Alexander University of Erlangen in the middle of the month to an evening lecture on the topic “Individual freedom versus political freedom. The Polis in European Republicanism”. A week earlier, however, Grüner withdrew the invitation because, as he meekly confessed, his own dean had “asked” him to do so. Behind this “request”, however, was a solid threat: Flaig is considered “controversial” in left-wing circles – because, among other things, he points to the historical fact that the slave trade was not the exclusive domain of whites, but that there were also black slave traders, and that Islam in particular also engaged in the slave trade for centuries.

Being “controversial” was once considered a desirable attribute in the academic discourse space, but similar to the equally pejorated “lateral thinking”, it is now already considered a kind of scientific death sentence. This is a thorn in the side of the pseudo-science of “anti-colonialism”, since in this delusion only white people can be racist or behave immorally. Moreover, Flaig had also spoken out against mass migration. Therefore, he is, of course, considered “right-wing”. For these reasons, Flaig should have been denied an appearance at the University of Osnabrück two years ago.

An influencer’s death foreshadows the left’s war on food

By Andrea Widburg

Two news stories broke yesterday that seem entirely different superficially but that are, in fact, closely related. The first involves John Kerry. The second is the sad death of “vegan influencer” Zhanna Samsonova.

John Kerry is a weasel. I don’t say this because of his political positions. I say this because when it’s pointed out that he owns or has owned five homes, a yacht, a private jet, and multiple very big cars, he always denies it. Those aren’t mine, he self-righteously puffs; they’re my wife’s. In addition to being a kept man, Kerry has never made the slightest push to relieve himself of the burden of all this luxury. Indeed, he believes he’s so important that it’s only right and just that he benefits from these privileges of wealth.

Why do I mention this? Because John Kerry has now joined Holland and Ireland in waging a war on farmers:

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry was blasted on social media over the weekend by critics who accused him of trying to destroy the agriculture industry in order to achieve “net zero” emissions.

“Agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world depending a little bit on how you count it but it’s anywhere from 26 to 33 and we can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution,” Kerry told a climate change summit in May.

“You just can’t continue to both warm the planet, while also expecting to feed it,” Kerry added. “It doesn’t work. So we have to reduce emissions from the food system.”

Image: What’s for dinner (Pixlr AI).

Waging a war on farmers and farming means waging a war on food. When Sri Lankan pushed its farmers to all-organic farming, people starved, and the government collapsed. Meanwhile, the Netherlands and Ireland, in obedience to World Economic Forum dictates, are planning to seize farmland to wage an utterly pointless war on CO2, which is the fuel for plant life on our planet.

I’m not saying that farmers can’t be more water efficient (copy Israel) or have better practices when it comes to feeding livestock or handling their waste. But you know that’s not what Kerry’s talking about. He wants you eating veggies that are uncooked because you won’t own a stove.

And that leads me to Samsonova’s tragic death. As a vegan, she was ahead of the curve when it came to eating the WEF’s preferred diet (for the little people only, of course). She was also respectful of CO2 emissions because she did not cook her food. And eventually, she starved:

Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova has reportedly “died of starvation” after subsisting exclusively off a diet of exotic fruit in Malaysia, according to her friends and family.

She was 39.

The Russian national — who frequently promoted raw foods on social media where she was known to her millions of viewers on TikTokFacebook and Instagram as Zhanna D’Art — reportedly died July 21 after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour in Southeast Asia, according to local media outlet reports.

“A few months ago, in Sri Lanka, she already looked exhausted, with swollen legs oozing lymph,” one unidentified friend told Newsflash. “They sent her home to seek treatment. However, she ran away again. When I saw her in Phuket, I was horrified.”

(See Monica Schowalter’s excellent analysis of Samsonova’s death and the implications of veganism.)

Of course, Samsonova took it too far, and most vegans and raw foodies chug along fairly well—but they’re always undernourished unless they have perfectly balanced diets and careful supplements.

I’ve read two splendid books about human nutrition. The first was about how women’s need for iron in their diet to reproduce helped drive human civilization because it made animal husbandry the most efficient way to make that happen. Unfortunately, I read the book about 20 years ago and, for the life of me, can’t remember the name. One point the book repeatedly made, though, was that meat is the single most effective way to deliver important nutrients. And no, I’m not eating crickets that carry E.coli.

The second book was called Catching Fire: How Cooking Made Us Human. The author, Richard Wrangham, pointed out that raw foodies are almost invariably malnourished because the best way to get nutrients out of food is heat. When our simian ancestors discovered cooking, especially cooking meat, they gave our brains a nutritional feast that sent us on a dazzling evolutionary development.

John Kerry, from the comfort of his wife’s houses, yachts, planes, and cars, wants us all to be Samsonovas, scrabbling for nutrients from plants that, under Biden policies, we won’t be able to cook.

How the German Government funds Online Hate and Antisemitism

The Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor has urged the German government to ban PFLP front group Samidoun from fund-raising in Germany. Likud MK Ariel Kallner and NGO Im Tirtzu have criticized German government funding for anti-Israel NGOs and for defending terrorists in Israeli court. Now it seems the German government is funding an “anti-Hate Speech NGO” that defends anti-Semites in German courts. What’s the story?

In 2016, German advertising manager Gerald Hensel began a boycott campaign against the conservative news site “Axis of Good“, which was co-founded by prominent German-Jewish intellectual Henryk Broder, who was born 1946 in Polish Katowice to Holocaust survivors.

Hensel lost his job at the leading German advertising agency “Scholz & Friends” due to the controversy around his boycott campaign. So he went on to a lucrative career at taxpayer-funded “Non-Governmental” Organizations fighting “Hate Speech” online.

In May 2017 he founded “Hate Aid” with the support of the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD). “Twitter Files” journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger have identified ISD as one of the main players in the so-called “censorship industrial complex”, which they say is endangering free speech world-wide, as governments outsource unconstitutional censorship to so called “Non-Governmental” Organizations, often with ties to the anti-Israel Open Society Foundations.

In 2018, Anna-Lena von Hodenberg from Soros-funded activist group Campact joined Hensel in running HateAid. Campact received €150,000 from Open Society Initiative for Europe in 2021 to “support HateAid to fight hate online and hold haters accountable.”

On its website, HateAid purports to fight anti-Semitism and “Doxxing” (revealing someone’s personal information online against their will, such as when using an alias). However, HateAid is itself closely tied to several persons themselves accused of anti-Semitism and Doxxing.

In Autumn 2022, for example, HateAid financed a lawsuit brought against Twitter by controversial Baden-Württemberg “anti-Semitism commissioner” Michael Blume. A non-Jew who claims to fight anti-Semitism for the southwest German state, Blume has engaged in a running Twitter battle with several prominent conservative Jewish critics, including Arutz Sheva journalist Benjamin Weinthal, German Jewish activist Malca Goldstein-Wolf and Henryk Broder’s “Axis of Good”, supported by an online hate mob which data analyst Eoin Lenihan wrote about on Arutz Sheva in 2022.

Blume made the 2021 “Global Anti-Semitism Top 10 List” compiled by the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles. According to a lawsuit by lawyer Joachim Steinhöfel at district court in Hamburg, it is permissible to refer to Michael Blume as “anti-Semitic”.

HateAid also states on the website that it is fighting so-called Doxxing. However, HateAid has been working closely with left-wing journalist Lars Wienand since 2019, who has built a career around doxxing people he disagrees with, and has repeatedly worked with Palestinian PFLP terror group representatives in Germany.

In 2019, Wienand doxxed the Christian Syrian asylum seeker, podcaster and Bundestag employee Kevork Almassian, who was subsequently allegedly attacked with a knife by a Palestinian Arab on the street in Berlin. Wienand then defended his attacker together with Palestinian “human rights” Lawyer Nadija Samour, who has close ties to the PFLP terror group and their front group Samidoun. Samour also defended Palestinian Arab terrorist Rasmea Odeh when she was kicked out of Germany, but is still a member of the City of Berlin’s Migration Council.

HateAid has its Berlin headquarters in the former HQ of the East German dissident movement, the “House of Democracy and Human Rights,” which is also home to Nadija Samour’s office, as well as anti-Israel NGOs Jewish Voice for Peace and International League for Human Rights.

HateAid received €344,000 in 2021 and €88,000 in 2022 from the German Justice Ministry. According to a post by HateAid, it was €600,000 in 2023. Now, HateAid announced the Justice Ministry is canceling its funding for 2024.

HateAid also received €1,564,218 in 2021-2023 from the Family Ministry. According to the Ministry of Family Affairs, it will not be decided until September whether HateAid 2024 will continue to be funded.

HateAid seemingly only backs left-wing causes, as far as its website goes. I wrote HateAid to ask whether they ever support conservatives who are victims of “Hate Speech” online. They have not yet answered.

The German government is technically prohibited by law from funding politically one-sided NGOs, a law it now ignores seemingly at will. Thus the German government seems to only fund left–wing NGOs in Israel which are trying to overthrow the government, and we have never noticed it funding patriotic or conservative Israeli NGOs.

The Justice Ministry, which is run by the centrist, pro-Israel Free Democrats, is seemingly award of this contradiction: “We subject all grants to regular review to ensure they comply with the Neutrality Clause, including HateAid”, the Justice Ministry wrote. We await the results of said review.

German police officers deserve abuse as they are a threat to democracy, claims youth wing of governing SPD

Police officers deserve to be abused because they are a threat to security and democracy, the youth wing of Germany’s largest governing party has claimed.

The Social Democratic Party (SPD) youth group, JUSOS Leipzig, evidenced the rift between the SPD’s major politicians and its young activists by responding to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser’s call to respect the police for preserving law and order.

“Every day, tens of thousands of police officers in the federal and state governments put their lives on the line for our security and our democracy. They deserve our respect and not insults,” Faeser posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday.

It appears the SPD politician’s call was not heeded by the young members of her own party, however, who hit back on the same platform.

“Every day, federal and state police officers are members of right-wing chat groups and networks. They are a threat to our security and our democracy. They deserve abuse, not respect,” the Leipzig-based youth group responded.

Deputy Chairman of Germany’s Federal Police Union Manuel Ostermann criticized the response by the SPD youth group, accusing them of “drifting left” and offering a staunch defense of police officers across the country.

“Our police officers deserve appreciation. We can be happy in Germany to be able to fall back on such a police force. Dear colleagues, thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he added.

Others questioned the extent to which the governing SPD was moving to the extremes of the political spectrum with its young activists expressing similar sentiments to those held by far-left activist group Antifa.

Faeser had initially been responding to ARD journalist Stephan Anpalagan, who had accused the federal police of being a “Gestapo successor organization,” a remark that Heiko Teggatz, the head of the federal police union, called a “shame for public service broadcasting.” Teggatz subsequently demanded a response from the federal government.

Pakistan: ISIS claims responsibility for suicide bomb blast during election rally in Bajaur, which killed 54 people

twitter

The Islamic State group on Monday claimed responsibility for the Bajaur suicide blast in Pakistan that killed 54 people, including 23 children, according to Al Jazeera.

The bombing targeted an election rally in Pakistan’s border district of Bajaur on Sunday in which nearly 200 people were wounded. “A suicide attacker from the Islamic State [ISIL] … detonated his explosive jacket in the middle of a crowd” in the town of Khar, the armed group’s news arm Amaq said in a statement, according to Al Jazeera.

A bomber detonated an explosives-packed vest near the platform as some 400 members of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) party, a significant government coalition partner led by hardline politician Fazlur Rehman, awaited the start of the speeches.

The gathering was hosted near a market beneath a huge tent, but Rehman chose not to go. Rehman has previously escaped at least two explosions that occurred at political rallies in 2011 and 2014, Al Jazeera reported. Police took testimony from some of the injured on Monday at a hospital in Khar, the biggest town in Bajaur. The provincial minister of information, Feroz Jamal, stated that police were “investigating this attack in all aspects.”

A First Information Report on the blast was filed with the Counter Terrorism Department on Monday as the initial investigation, according to the police, indicated that the terrorist group ISIS was responsible for the suicide attack.

The suicide bomber detonated explosives when JUI-F members and supporters gathered in the town of Khar, near the border with Afghanistan. The convention started at 2 pm, and the explosion happened at 4:10 pm, according to the official. The FIR has been filed by the KP CTD against unidentified persons on suspicion of terrorism, murder, attempted murder, and other offences, as per Geo News.

According to Shokat Abbas, additional inspector general for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), nearly 10–12 kg of explosives were used in the blast.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of the JUI-F, asked that Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, and Azam Khan, the interim chief minister of KP, look into the incident, Geo News reported.

The United States, Russia and Saudi Arabia have condemned the terror attack and have sent their condolences to the impacted families. Since last year, when a truce between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamabad collapsed, attacks by extremists have increased in Pakistan. More than 100 people were killed earlier this year in a Peshawar mosque blast, reported Geo News.

According to a recent UN Security Council report, the TTP may be looking to unite with Al Qaeda to form a single entity that would house all militant organisations active in South Asia. Although cross-border militancy persists, Pakistan has long held Afghanistan responsible for failing to uphold its promise to ensure that its soil was not utilised for terrorism in Islamabad.

Locals Live in Fear Amid Massive Migrant Gun Battles Near Hungarian Border

Police car at Hungary-Serbia border barrier, Bőr Benedek, CC-BY-2.0

Migrant smuggling gangs are doing battle with the police and each other, leaving at least one dead and locals sleeping on their floors to reduce the chance of catching a stray bullet in bed.

The village of Hajdukovo/Hajdújárás, a small farming community in the north of Serbia on the Hungarian border has been described as a terrifying warzone this past week as what are reported to be migrant smuggler gangs face off in hours-long gun battles, with household security footage audio attesting to the persistent sound of automatic gunfire. A significant police deployment is now underway but residents told local authorities at a community meeting Friday that if that wasn’t enough, then the army must be deployed.

The battles started last Monday, in a two-hour long fight which left one dead and several injured, and “pools of blood” and discarded bandages littering the streets and orchards of the village the next morning. Hungarian state broadcaster MTVA reports on the plight of the locals, who are ethnically majority Hungarian, describing how the migrant smuggler gangs were “shooting indiscriminately at everything and everyone between the houses and in the gardens” on Monday 24th.

Because of the weakness of the European Union’s external border and asylum policies, human trafficking has become an extremely lucrative — if deadly — business in Europe. In Hajdukovo, gangs may be fighting over territory and customers.

Locals fled to their homes and ” lay on the ground to avoid being hit by the bullets raining down from all directions” amid what was described as warlike conditions seeing “without a break, machine guns roared from all directions and the bursts rained down”.  Some said they were worried someone would be hit by stray gunfire, or the gangs would shoot one of their cows in the dark.

One local who asked not to be named out of fear the gangs would seek to exact revenge, told the broadcaster: “I didn’t dare to come to the window. I sat down in the room on the floor so that if the bullet entered, it wouldn’t hit me. This is a disaster here. It’s a disaster”.

“Presumably, Afghan migrants wanted to settle scores with each other”, one report caustically notes, but nevertheless as well as shooting at one another, the gangs also exchanged fire with the police, Serbian broadcaster Pannon RTV reports.

An official announcement on Monday’s battle revealed medics discovered several victims, including a dead Afghan lying near a main road, and an injured Afghan male lying nearby.

The violence continued through the week, local witnesses state, and there was another major battle on Friday evening, just hours after a local resident’s meeting to address the problem of shootings took place with the regional mayor in the village. Magyar Nemzet reports shooting continued Friday despite a heavier police presence and locals spoke of being able to “hear the migrants and human traffickers shooting each other from afar”.

Residents had told local authorities at the community meeting that if the regional government can’t keep the village safe, then the military should be deployed, and even with police patroling, migrant gangs are still “hiding in the area”.

“Automatic weapons” were again in evidence in Friday’s battle and a local resident said how his son discovered used brass casings littering the grass outside their home. In all, Pannon reported, the everyday lives of village residents “are made unbearable by the armed showdowns of migrant gangs”.

While the intensity of the violence may be shocking to Hajdukovo locals, this is not the first time in recent memory the Serbia-Hungary border has played host to tragic scenes fostered by mass migratory flows. The Hungarian border was a serious flashpoint in the 2016 migrant crisis, and even the village of Hajdukovo has not been untouched before, with bloody fights between migrant gangs taking place in the very same village just a year before.

Hirado recounts:”A year ago, an even bloodier clash took place in the same place. Then Pakistani and Afghan migrants and people smugglers shot at each other. The rescuers had to treat a total of 6 illegal immigrants, and one migrant died from the gunshots.” Their television report also cites other local gun battles taking place on a weekly basis in the area recently.

They report that: “For over a year warzone-like conditions have persisted along a stretch of the frontier’s Serbian side, with footage emerging of such migrant shootouts taken place on a weekly basis now. The migrant gangs now find themselves kitted out with automatic rifles, camouflage pattern uniforms, [identity concealing] masks, and ridiculous stockpiles of ammunition”.

After Friday’s battle, an increased police presence over the weekend may have seen violence slow. Per reports, while migrant gangs were again reported by locals on Sunday evening, police were able to respond quickly and make arrests, and no gun battles are reported to have taken place. Whether the problem is solved or has simply moved to a less well-patrolled area is yet to be seen: as Pannon RTV notes, gunfire was heard on Sunday evening in Palić, Serbia instead — another border village three miles westwards.

The shootings come amid an enormous gun crackdown by the Serbian government, which has promised to hit residents with prison sentences if they don’t surrender their firearms. While the tragic mass shootings that inspired that move by the government to disarm its citizenry gained massive global media attention, the persistent pitched battles, reportedly with automatic weapons between migrant smuggling gangs in the same country and during gun crackdown has failed to excite the same headlines worldwide.

Violence by Muslim mob during Hindu religious procession: Two home guards killed, hundreds of Hindus rescued from Nalhar temple -Videos of rioting mob chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ surface online

Nuh violence by Islamist mob

Two home guards have been killed in the violence unleashed by a Muslim mob in the Nuh area of Haryana during a VHP religious procession. A police statement said that 2 home guards have been killed in the shooting, and several others have been seriously injured. Reports indicated that at least 20 police personnel have been injured in the Islamist violence.

The deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in Nuh also reportedly suffered a head injury during the incident.

It is also being reported that hundreds of Hindus including men, women and children have been rescued from the Nalhar temple where they were hiding to save themselves from the Islamist mob. It was earlier reported that anywhere between 2000 to 4000 Hindus had taken shelter in temples of Nuh to save themselves from the violence unleashed by the Muslim mob.

During the violence, stones were pelted and several cars were set on fire. Police, which initially tried to disperse the mob using teargas shells and by firing shots in the air, had to call in reinforcements. ADGP (Law and Order) Mamta Singh later went with additional forces to try to rescue the people who took shelter at Nalhar temple in Nuh.

Vehicles were burnt and stones pelted at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s shobha yatra as clashes erupted between two communities in the Muslim-majority region of Mewat in Haryana.

Tensions escalated in Haryana’s Mewat region following an incident on Monday where stones were thrown at the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Religious Mewat Yatra. According to reports, individuals from a minority community attacked one of the vehicles in the religious procession. In response, the police intervened, using teargas shells to disperse the crowds and calling for reinforcements from neighbouring areas as both sides engaged in stone-throwing.

The situation created an atmosphere of anxiety in the area, leading to the restriction of internet services and the imposition of Section 144. To address the situation, the Nuh Deputy Commissioner scheduled a meeting with both parties on Monday at 8:30 pm.

“In order to stop the spread of misinformation and rumours through various social media platforms, for facilitation and mobilisation of mobs of agitators who can cause serious loss of life and damage to public and private properties by indulging in arson or vandalism and other types of violent activities, I, Home Secretary, Haryana do hereby order the suspension of the mobile internet services in the jurisdiction of district Nuh in the state of Haryana and shall be in force w.e.f. 31.07.2023 (16:00hrs) to 02.08.2023 (23:59 hrs),” the order read.

According to the police, the Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra encountered a roadblock near Khedla Mod in Nuh, where a group of young men halted the procession and started throwing stones at it. An official stated that “one or two cars” within the procession were set ablaze during the incident. Reports further mentioned that individuals participating in the yatra retaliated by pelting stones back at the youths who had obstructed their path.

Notably, an exclusive report published by The Pamphlet said that the violence witnessed during the VHP rally in Nuh on Monday, July 31, was preplanned. The report stated that the location of the rally was live-tweeted even as miscreants remained prepared to disturb communal harmony and stir violence.

The yatra, which was inaugurated earlier at Gurugram’s Civil Lines by BJP district president Gargi Kakkar, was accompanied by a police contingent. During the procession, some individuals sustained injuries, but the exact number was not immediately available, according to the police’s statement.

After the stone-pelting incident that occurred approximately 2 km from the temple, Nuh SHO Hukam Singh reassured that the situation in the area has stabilized. In response to the attack, workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad also retaliated by pelting stones back at the assailants.

Speaking to OpIndia, the VHP leader present in Nuh when the violence erupted shared details about the attack on the religious yatra. He alleged that it was a pre-planned attack and the mob had collected stones two days prior to the Shobha Yatra. He added that the mob had a clear intention of attacking Hindus during the religious procession.
