Koran Performance art in Copenhagen at Iranian embassy

A woman puts pages of the Koran through a cheese grater in front of the Iranian embassy in Copenhagen. It seems Rasmus may have competition. So good to see women waking up to the danger that Islam presents especially to them. This was uploaded 5 hours ago as of 2:00 ET

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation pursues European submission

Oriana Fallaci, PD Italia
OIC: strategy:”The Ummah began with one person, the Prophet. The success of a Muslim minority is to one day become a majority.”

By Giulio Meotti

When she died in 2007, Oriana Fallaci was on trial in Bergamo, Italy. A judge had seen fit to send the writer to trial on charges of. “Contempt for the Islamic religion”. The magistrate had argued that some sentences in her books are “unequivocally offensive to Islam”. An arrest warrant was also issued from Switzerland. If my friend Oriana were alive today, perhaps we would see her with shackles on her wrists.

During the period when the Saudi Supreme Court (which is not really a supreme court, but more a congregation of imams) gave the green light to a thousand lashes and ten years in prison for the liberal blogger Raif Badawi, guilty of having “offended Islam,” a delegation of United Nations bureaucrats landed in Jeddah to promote an “international conference on religious freedom”. No, this is not a joke.

Leading the UN criminals was Joachim Rücker himself, president of the Human Rights Council, photographed smiling alongside the guardians of Wahabi Islam in a white tunic. There was also Heiner Bielefeldt, envoy of the United Nations for religious freedom, a scholar specializing in the works of Immanuel Kant, who must have seen applications of Kant’s beleif in good will and the shared ability of human beings to reason in the whip that makes the infidel’s back bleed.

Does the UN see the Saudi regime as a model of “religious freedom”.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres presented the UN Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech in concert with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s decades-long efforts to ban criticism of Islam. Pakistan unveiled a six-point plan to “counter Islamophobia” at UN headquarters. The presentation was organized together with Turkey, the Holy See and the UN.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (the second largest international organization after the United Nations and the only organization of its kind dedicated to the promotion of a religion) managed to have the United Nations celebrate the “World Day Against Islamophobia” in the presence of Guterres, who said there is an “epidemic of Islamophobia in the world”.

Then there is the Alliance of Civilizations, wanted by the then Spanish premier José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and sponsored by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The current secretary of the Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Moratinos (former Spanish foreign minister), “unequivocally condemns the cowardly act of burning the holy Koran in Sweden…”.

What is the goal of these Islamic groups? It is to criminalize any criticism of Islam. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation said it right out: “We need a law that criminalizes Islamophobia”.

And their target now is Sweden and Denmark after the burning of the Koran. Denmark and Sweden are giving in to pressure from the most Islamic oppressive states in the world. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said the government would try to enact legislation on the Koran. Sweden is considering similar measures. As Denmark discovered after a newspaper published the Mohammed cartoons, offending Islam is a high-stakes venture.

As a result of the burning, Turkey has rejected Sweden’s NATO membership for months. In Baghdad, the Swedish embassy was attacked and the ambassador expelled. A Danish NGO helping refugees in Basra was hit. Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen even made a desperate phone call to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to mitigate the backlash. By bowing to the demands of the Wahhabi kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the theocratic Shiite regime of Iran, Denmark and Sweden have validated the OIC’s approach.

But it’s not just the UN. In June, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was in Brussels to meet with EU leaders on how to “fight Islamophobia”. This is a collaboration that began under the Italian Federica Mogherini in the year in which the OIC also entered the Vatican. Brussels has just reaffirmed its collaboration with the Islamic mega-lobby. And aren’t there projects paid for by the European Research Council, such as this one, entitled “The European Koran”? By 2025, Italian universities and Islamic countries will also be involved with European funding of 9,842,534 euros.

Meanwhile, the heads of the OIC are funding Western universities as well: Eight British universities have received more than 233 million pounds from the Ummah and American universities 614 million dollars from Saudi Arabia alone and up to one billion from Qatar.

What is Kuwait’s response to the burning of the Koran? 100,000 copies of the Koran in Swedish are to be brought to the Scandinavian country. Do you remember the Islamic organization that distributed 300,000 copies of the Koran in Germany at the height of the 2015 migrant crisis? Or Saudi Arabia offering to build 200 new mosques on German soil?

As early as 1983, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s magazine, Islam Today, explained its strategy for world expansion: “The Ummah began with one person, the Prophet. The success of a Muslim minority is to one day become a majority”.

Will it end up like at UNESCO under the presidency of Amadou Mahtar M’Bow, a Senegalese Muslim eager for academic titles (42 honorary degrees), honorary citizen of eleven metropolises subject to dictatorships in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe? It was he, in the imposing building on Place de Fontenoy in Paris, who wanted “a code of universal values”. The then general secretary of UNESCO proclaimed from the Ville Lumière that “the countries of the Third World are the bearers of hope on the planet”.

Europe is now willing to validate that.

Misleading article in ‘Foreign Policy’ about Bangladesh bats for Islamists

Recently, an opinion piece published in the encrypted portal ‘Foreign Policy’ has called for the Biden administration to engage with Bangladesh’s democracy. The article, written by Ahmede Hussain, touches upon various aspects of the country’s political situation, but it mostly contains some misleading information and misrepresentations.

According to Wikipedia, his ancestors hail from the former Portuguese enclave of Patherghata in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Hussain, born in 1978 is a Shia and also is a senior journalist.

In the article, Hussain discusses the long-standing relationship between the United States and Bangladesh and highlights the need for the US to navigate its ties with both Bharat and China while addressing the democratic crisis in Bangladesh. He recalls Bangladesh’s struggle for independence during the Cold War and the subsequent formation of the country.

Ahmede Hussain wrote, US Under Secretary Uzra Zeya has said, “the United States looks forward to deepening its relationship with Bangladesh for the next 50 years”.

He further wrote, “The United States will have to make some tough decisions about the democratic crisis in Bangladesh and its relationship with both China and India.

“At the height of the Cold War, with India and the Soviet Union on its side, Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) went to war in 1971 for independence. India intervened militarily in the war on 3 December 1971 and the Pakistan Army surrendered in a war that lasted only 13 days. Bangladesh gained independence”.

However, the article makes erroneous claims regarding the legitimacy of the Awami League government. It wrongly suggests that the two general elections that brought Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to power were heavily rigged.

He wrote, “The two general elections that brought Sheikh Hasina to power were heavily rigged. As a result of this, the outgoing ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, Ito Naoki, broke all diplomatic norms and commented that he heard that the police filled the ballot boxes at night before the polls started”.

In reality, the 2008 election was held under a military-backed interim government and was deemed free, fair, and credible by local and international observers. The 2014 election faced a boycott by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its ideological ally Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).

No one has ever questioned the credibility of this election – not even BNP or Jamaat. But, Ahmede Hussain has attempted to label this election as “heavily rigged”, which certainly proves his ulterior agenda. Though there is controversy centering the 2018 general election, Hussain has tried to bring both 2014 and 2018 elections under the same bracket.

Ahmede Hussain cites investigative reports by Netra News and Deutsche Welle, but these reports have been criticized as propaganda by individuals associated with opposition parties. One of the individuals behind these so-called investigative reports is Zulkarnain Saer Khan, who has a controversial background and is known for spreading false information. A careful scrutiny of the social media activism of this individual would prove it.

It may be mentioned here that, Zulkarnain Saer Khan, a notoriously anti-Hindu and anti-Bharat individual fled Bangladesh years ago when he was charged by Bangladesh’s law enforcement agencies for his direct involvement in robbery and extortion. In Hungary, he was involved in criminal activities, including drug trafficking, which had resulted in his expulsion, where from he fled to the United Kingdom and took shelter. His asylum petition which is filled with lies and false claims is currently pending with the UK authorities.

Ahmede Hussain’s article in Foreign Policy also touches upon the reputation of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), an elite force fighting terrorism, militancy and transnational drug trafficking. The force has been praised for combating terrorism and criminal activities.

Commenting on the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Ahmede Hussain in his article wrote: “RAB’s reputation for killing people in encounters was so widespread that in December 2021, the force was sanctioned by the US Treasury Department. The US intervention worked like a tonic—showing Washington it could do anything it wanted to. RAB kidnappings stopped overnight”.

Ever-since its inception, RAB has become a target of terrorists, jihadists and members of the crime world. Due to effective actions of this elite force, Bangladesh has been largely relieved of threats posed by numerous jihadist outfits including Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB), Harkat-ul-Jihad (HuJI), Al Qaeda, Islamic State (ISIS) as well as local terrorist gangs and transnational drug-trafficking rackets. Elements affected due to RAB’s effective actions have been spending lavishly on media, NGOs and a section of unscrupulous elements – including politicians in spreading well-orchestrated lies and propaganda with the nefarious agenda of branding this elite force as “killing machine”.

Similarly, unscrupulous elements in the West also run propaganda targeting law enforcement agencies while they have been spending hundreds of millions of dollars in running adverse propaganda against America’s war on terror. Narcotic and weapon mafias based in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua and other places countries are spending lavishly against counterterrorism and anti-narcotic organization and efforts worldwide. In Bangladesh, the Rapid Action Battalion is the victim of a similar conspiracy.

Hussain’s article suggests imposing sanctions on Bangladesh by the United States and Canada and using recently announced visa policy by the US Department of State to unseat the current government, which raises concerns about his intentions and possible hidden agendas. His commentary on India and China’s support for the Awami League government appears to paint a biased picture.

In my opinion, it is essential to have an informed and balanced discussion about Bangladesh’s political landscape, addressing both its successes and challenges. Constructive engagement between the US and Bangladesh can contribute to strengthening democracy and addressing human rights concerns, while also fostering positive regional relationships. However, it is equally crucial to avoid propagating false information and pursuing political agendas that may undermine the country’s stability.

A careful scrutiny of each of the sentences of Hussain of his article in Foreign Policy portal would clearly prove – he has written this to serve the purpose of pro-Pakistan and pro-militancy forces. This actually is not even an article. Instead, Ahmede Hussain’s write-up is the worst form of anti-Bangladesh propaganda.Decades ago, there was a James Bond 007 series movie named ‘Kiss of Death’. While Ahmede Hussain wants America to “give Bangladesh’s democracy and kiss of life”, an authoritarian Joe Biden and Hussain’s anti-Bangladesh elements can just give a kiss of death to Bangladesh’s democracy. Nothing else!

NYT: Trump Prosecutor “Charged the Same Story Three Different Ways” – “There aren’t enough prisons to hold them all”

What do you do when you have a political crime, but not a legal one? You keep trying to attach laws to what you consider a political crime. As I already noted in my analysis, Clinton ally Jack Smith took random unrelated laws and then waved his arms a lot while talking about democracy.

Describing publicly conducted election challenges as an effort to “defraud” the United States government turns 18 U.S. Code § 371 into an open-ended tool for suppressing a wide range of political dissent. Treating lobbying or any kind of advocacy as the equivalent of witness tampering weaponizes 18 U.S. Code § 1512 against virtually anyone trying to influence a function of government. Which is to say virtually everyone who is interested in politics. And finally deploying 18 U.S. Code § 241, originally designed to fight the KKK, against Trump and anyone trying to verify legitimate election results makes election fraud into a civil right.

Instead of finding specific crimes committed, Jack Smith took the House Democrat J6 Committee report and then did his best to fit them into some federal statutes somewhere. Including one that bans wearing disguises on highways which was created to fight the KKK.

The New York Times has to be polite and supportive so it describes Smith’s tactics as “novel”.

(Note to non-lawyers, prosecutors using novel tactics is rarely a good thing for the targets, the prosecutors or the country. Laws are supposed to be reasonably straightforward and so are prosecutions. A country where prosecutors are constantly figuring out how do novel things either has bad laws or is a totalitarian regime.)

In accusing former President Donald J. Trump of conspiring to subvert American democracy, the special counsel, Jack Smith, charged the same story three different ways. The charges are novel applications of criminal laws to unprecedented circumstances, heightening legal risks, but Mr. Smith’s tactic gives him multiple paths in obtaining and upholding a guilty verdict.

America isn’t a “democracy”, subverting it is what political parties do, and there was nothing illegal in trying to contest an election.

‘Stories’ aren’t charged, crimes are. But Smith doesn’t have a crime, he has a ‘story’ that he’s trying to criminalize by throwing whatever statutes he has at the wall to see what sticks.

Kimberley A. Strassel quickly shows the implications of this “novel” approach in her Wall Street Journal piece.

Take Mr. Trump out of the equation and consider more broadly what even the New York Times calls Mr. Smith’s “novel approach.” A politician can lie to the public, Mr. Smith concedes. Yet if that politician is advised by others that his comments are untruthful and nonetheless uses them to justify acts that undermine government “function,” he is guilty of a conspiracy to defraud the country. Dishonest politicians who act on dubious legal claims? There aren’t enough prisons to hold them all.

Consider how many politicians might already be doing time had prosecutors applied this standard earlier. Both Al Gore and George W. Bush filed lawsuits in the 2000 election that contained bold if untested legal claims. Surely both candidates had advisers who told them privately that they may have legitimately lost—and neither publicly conceded an inch until the Supreme Court resolved the matter. Might an ultimate sore winner have used this approach to indict the loser for attempting to thwart the democratic process?

And why limit the theory to election claims? In 2014 the justices held unanimously that President Barack Obama had violated the Constitution by decreeing that the Senate was in recess so that he could install several appointees without confirmation. It was an outrageous move, one that Mr. Obama’s legal counselors certainly warned was a loser, yet the White House vocally insisted the president had total “constitutional authority” to do it. Under Mr. Smith’s standard, that was a lie that Mr. Obama used to defraud the public by jerry-rigging the function of a labor board with illegal appointments.

What’s the betting someone told President Biden he didn’t have the power to erase $430 billion in student loan debt. Oh, wait! That’s right. He told himself. “I don’t think I have the authority to do it by signing with a pen,” he said in 2021. The House speaker advised him it was illegal: “People think that the president of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness. He does not,” Nancy Pelosi said. Yet Mr. Biden later adopted the lie that he did, and took action to defraud taxpayers by obstructing the federal function of loan processing—until the Supreme Court made him stop.

If even a former president can be hit with conspiracy charges, what’s to protect a mere congressman, or a failed candidate, or a consultant? For how long did Stacey Abrams falsely dispute her loss in the 2018 Georgia governor’s race and pressure Georgia lawmakers to alter election procedures in ways that might undermine voting integrity on the basis of untruths? Would the advisers who egged her on in that pursuit qualify as co-conspirators, like the lawyers in Mr. Smith’s indictment?

Strassel goes on like this for a while and obviously she has a point. Legally. Politically, it’s another matter.

The Al Capone tax case wasn’t as absurdly corrupt and abusive as in The Untouchables, but it was obviously corrupt and, for once, not by Capone. The presumption was that Capone had skipped justice too many times and that he was a public menace, all true, and that he had to be locked up no matter what.

That’s the reasoning behind supporting the otherwise nightmarish premises that Jack Smith sets out. Democrats are assuming that they won’t be used against them or much of anyone except maybe Trump, some ‘right-wingers’ and then it’ll stop.

Just like it did in the Soviet Union, Communist China, and Revolutionary France.

Afghanistan: Taliban now bans girl students from attending school beyond third grade

As part of the Taliban’s most recent diktat suppressing the rights of Afghan women, the Islamic regime has banned girls over 10 years of age from attending primary school classes in some provinces of Afghanistan. This means that girl students cannot study beyond the third standard. The ban has been imposed in the Ghazni province in Afghanistan. Before this, girls were banned to study in schools beyond the sixth grade.

According to a report published by BBC Persian on Saturday, the Ministry of Education’s officials have asked the principals of schools and short-term training classes to ensure that “girls over 10 years old are not allowed to study in primary schools”.

The report further stated that in a few regions in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Good and Prohibition’s local authorities are separating girls based on their ages and ordering the principals of the girls’ schools, which had been in operation, to send back the students who are above the third grade.

“We were told that girls who are tall and over 10 years old are not allowed to enter the school,” said a sixth-grade student in eastern Afghanistan, while speaking to the BBC.

The latest onslaught comes after video games, foreign movies and music were outlawed in Afghanistan under the Taliban government because they are considered to be anti-Islamic. This ban is first imposed in the western city of Herat in Afghanistan. More than 400 firms in Herat had to shut down as a result of the sudden ban enforced by the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice.

The ban came after restrictions on other pastimes and types of entertainment that go against the Taliban’s radical Islamic Sharia law. The Taliban, earlier this month, prohibited women and families from accessing the garden restaurants in Herat.

In July of this year, the Taliban’s morality ministry ordered that all women-run establishments such as hair and beauty salons be closed down within a month of receiving initial information, which was delivered to them on July 2nd.

Under Taliban leadership, teenage girls and women were forbidden from entering classrooms, gyms, and parks. The women in Afghanistan have also been barred from working for the United Nations and several international non-governmental organisations after the Taliban’s order on 24th December 2022. The Taliban banned women from working in NGOs alleging that they are not wearing the Islamic headscarf correctly.

The Taliban closed hookah facilities across the nation in October 2022. Smoking hookah is an everyday pastime for Afghan men. The Taliban closed down eateries owned and run by women in the city of Herat earlier in May 2022 and forbade men and women from dining together there. The Islamist group has forcefully imposed severe constraints on how Afghans can behave and how men and women can interact with each other.

Bangladesh: Islamist tortured female health worker in Pabna

Persecution of Hindu minorities never ceases in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. Now, a woman health worker is allegedly tortured, harassed and beaten black and blue by an Islamist Motin Hossain.

This incident of torture has been reported from Kadua village of Satbaria Union under Sujanagar Police Station of Pabna district. Tortured Hindu woman Chitra Rani Bhowmik is a govt employee and is the caretaker and provider of Kadua Community Healthcare.

Lying in a hospital bed, Chitra Rani Bhowmik said, “I work as a Community Health and Care Provider in the centre. Very often a Muslim youth named Motin Hossain came and gives me a proposal of an illicit sexual relationship. I opposed it several times. But, he didn’t listen. Recently, he threatened me. So, in fear, I gave him some money. But, he is insisting to give more money or make an illicit sexual relationship with him.”

On the 30th of July, Motin Hossain reached the Community Health centre and severely beat Chitra Rani Bhowmik. Hearing her screams, locals rushed to save her. Meanwhile, Islamist Motin fled. Later, she was taken to a local hospital and has been undergoing treatment there.

Also, she filed a complaint at Sujanagar Police Station. Based on the complaint, the Police started a case against the accused Motin Hossain and started a manhunt to nab Morin. Till now, he has been absconding.

From the Hospital bed, she requested Prime Minister Seikh to take strong legal action against the Islamist Motin Hossain.
