An Afghan migrant found guilty of attempted rape in Sweden has avoided jail and deportation, and will instead serve 140 hours of community service, a court ruled on Monday.

The crime dated back more than 10 years to July 27, 2013, when a woman reported being attacked by two male migrants whom she met at a festival in the western Swedish town of Uddevalla.

The victim told police at the time of the offense that she had been pushed to the ground by the men, who tore off her clothes and attempted to force her to have sex. According to the Samnytt news outlet, the victim told police that she had been penetrated by the men’s fingers, but was unsure whether they had managed to fully penetrate her with their penises.

After a commotion, the attackers fled the scene, and the victim was found by passers-by half-naked on a park bench. She had also been robbed.

Authorities obtained DNA evidence of one of the perpetrators from the thigh of the victim at the time of the offense; it could not be linked to anyone on the police database and was consequently stored securely.

It was not until 10 years later that Afghan migrant Ali Akbar Ghorbani, now 27 years of age, would be revealed as the perpetrator following a routine traffic stop. His DNA was tested at the scene and found to be a match for the 2013 attempted rape, just days before the 10-year statute of limitation expired for the offense.

He was subsequently arrested and refused to answer any questions during a police interview, denying his involvement in the crime.

Anette Fogelberg of the Uddevalla Prosecutor’s Office opted to prosecute Ghorbani for attempted rape due to insufficient evidence that the rape had fully taken place.

Ghorbani was subsequently found guilty of sexual assault and sentenced by the Uddevalla District Court on Monday to a suspended prison sentence and ordered to serve 140 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay 52,000 Swedish kronor (€4,385) in damages to the victim.

The public prosecutor had called for Ghorbani to be deported back to Afghanistan due to the severity of the offense, a submission dismissed by the court, which claimed that a deportation request would only be approved in “extraordinary” circumstances.

The court noted that “more than 10 years have now passed since the crime was committed” and acknowledged that Ghorbani was a minor at the time of the offense — he would have been 17 years of age — and thus, found no good reason to issue a deportation order back to Afghanistan.

Despite the lenient ruling, Fogelberg expressed her satisfaction with the verdict, telling Swedish broadcaster SVT: “It is quite satisfying that such an old case has been solved.”

Carina K. (23) was brutally murdered. Her boyfriend Omar A. (23) is a suspect – he is in custody. The Syrian is accused of killing the mother of his two children on a country lane in Emmerich (Lower Rhine) with several knife wounds. He simply left her body covered in blood and drove the 200 kilometres back to his home in the region of Siegerland.

Farmer Bernhard Landers discovered the dead woman on Monday morning. He told the newspaper BILD: “I was cycling around our fields in the morning when I suddenly saw a small baby’s hat lying on the path. I wondered how it got there. And then I saw the woman lying on the roadside.”

The baby cap – it probably belonged to the couple’s younger child. It is still a baby, only one month old.

A day later, the farmer is still shocked by the gruesome discovery: “The woman was only wearing her underwear, was covered in blood and had knife wounds on her body. Because I didn’t have my mobile phone with me, I drove back to the farm, from where we called the police.”

On Tuesday, the police were again in the forest area for hours with a large contingent, supported by the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW). They searched the grass strips with metal detectors – presumably in the hope of finding the murder weapon.
The young mother had previously been reported missing by her family. Because the everyday life of the outwardly seemingly happy couple was marked by violence: Carina is said to have been covered in bruises time and again. When she did not contact them, relatives called the police.

The police immediately targeted her boyfriend Omar A., with whom she lived in Netphen near Siegen. Shortly after Carina’s body was found far away on the border to the Netherlands, police arrested him.

Villagers have reacted with anger after it emerged the council is housing refugees in a newbuild estate where properties sell for more than £700,000.

Residents living in rural Langtoft, Lincolnshire, say there is ‘an outcry’ over the plans to house Afghan and Ukrainian families on the £1.8million estate.

They say locals who have been waiting for accommodation or those struggling to get on the housing ladder should be given priority. Property prices in the village are said to average £400,000. 

South Kesteven District Council bought 12 of the houses for just over £1.8million, using joint funding from the Government’s Local Authority Housing Fund and the Council’s Housing Revenue Account budget.

The dozen homes are a mix of two and three-bedroom new-builds and two-bedroom bungalows which were already identified for social housing, according to the council. They are the first of 21 houses earmarked for the re-homing scheme.

Housing developer Ashwood Homes boasts the 41 ‘high-specification homes’ that comprise its Woodland Rise development are in a ‘beautiful rural location’, with three of the houses listed for sale for between £600,000-£720,000. 

The council expects to take ownership of the 12 properties by the end of the month and they will be used to house Ukraine and Afghan migrants who have arrived in the UK legally. 

It has £4.4million earmarked for a total of 21 properties for the re-housing scheme, with £2,383,750 coming from the council’s Housing Revenue Account and £2,098,750 of funding allocated by the Government Local Authority Housing Fund. 

South Kesteven District Council is one of three local authorities in Lincolnshire and among just 180 nationwide to be selected to benefit from the Government’s fund. 

The fund, which is worth £500million nationally, helps provide affordable homes for legal evacuees until their visas expire in around three to five years’ time, by supporting local authorities. 

Funding from it can be used for, but is not limited to, acquiring, refurbishing, converting and developing properties to provide housing for Ukrainian and Afghan families under the government’s humanitarian schemes. 

This could include acquiring new build properties ‘off-the-shelf’, according to government guidance. 

The council said the homes will later be occupied by families on its Housing Register. 

Local resident Liz Jarman, 74, said people in Langtoft have ‘not been given one chance’ to buy a house on the development.

A 19-year-old German woman in Kos told police that she was a victim of rape by a 39-year-old Tunisian man with whom she had previously been having fun.

According to Dimokratiki, describing what happened on Sunday night, the 19-year-old told the police that she was initially having fun with the Tunisian.

Then, according to the German woman’s complaint, she got into his car, in which the 39-year-old allegedly started fondling her before finally driving her home.

The young German told police that three other people were there. According to the 19-year-old’s testimony, everyone drank alcohol before she finally lost consciousness and was raped.

Police arrested the 39-year-old Tunisian while the investigation into the case is still ongoing.

Over 17,000 illegal migrants, mostly comprised of young military-age males from the Middle East and Africa, have arrived on British shores so far this year in boats launched from the beaches of France.

Eight months after Prime Minister Rishi Sunak vowed to the country that his government would “stop the boats” the crisis seems to have no end in sight, with even leaked government documents now predicting that it could last upwards of another five years.

According to a review of government statistics made by the PA news agency, over 17,000 illegal migrants have crossed the English Channel since the start of the year. The news agency went on to report that it understands the Border Force is making preparations for what it dubbs “red days” in which warm weather and calm sea conditions make it easier for the people smuggling networks to launch waves of migrants towards Dover.

While the number of crossings is slightly lower than last year, with around 20,000 illegals crossing at this point in 2022, reports have indicated that people smuggling networks are once again turning to sneak migrants into the country on the backs of lorries in order to evade detection.

Since the crisis began in 2018, over 100,000 illegals have crossed the English Channel, with the vast majority of them being men between the ages of 18 and 39.

“I just feel we’re being mocked,” Brexit leader Nigel Farage said of the crisis. “But please don’t call it an invasion oh no, you use that word everybody goes potty and says you’re extremist and a racist because these are all poor suffering people.”

Reform UK party leader Richard Tice added: “The invasion continues 100,000, rising by many hundreds every week. By the end of 2023, possibly 120,000 will have invaded [the] UK across the Channel. They take our money, take our hotels and work illegally, so take our jobs.”

The continued flood of boat migrants washing up on British beaches comes despite the government of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak agreeing to give the French a staggering half a billion pounds sterling in order to step up enforcement against the human traffickers operating on their coastline.

It appears that the French continue to be overwhelmed by the gangs, however, with growing reports of violent turf wars breaking out between the Iraqi Kurds who have long controlled the trade and the new waves of Afghani smugglers arriving in the wake of their country falling to the Taliban.

Indeed, there have been reports that on the morning that saw six migrants drown to death in the Channel, gunshots had rung out in a camp near Calais in Northern France. An Iraqi witness relayed that turf wars in the camps “happen all the time,” adding: “I think they just fire their guns in the air mainly to frighten each other. This place is full of bad people.”

Yet, it also appears that Paris is unwilling to enact policies that would break the backs of the smuggling networks, most crucially coming to an agreement with London on the return of illegals, which would essentially destroy the business model of the traffickers given the migrants would not be willing to fork over thousands to reach England if they were guaranteed to be returned to France.

According to a report this week, the EU, on the urging of France, has once again rebuffed calls from Britain to agree on the return of migrants, with senior Conservative politicians suggesting that the bloc is attempting to use the crisis to punish the UK for leaving the bloc.

The founding of America on the principle that all men, as image-bearers of God, are created equal and endowed with unalienable rights has been a clarion call for human rights and the dignity of each individual for more than two centuries.  Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Independence was the culmination of Western civilization’s philosophical gift to the world.  Through two world wars and a cold war with communist totalitarianism, America stood on the world’s stage and declared itself a friend of liberty for all mankind.

The United States remains the last Western nation where the right to live and speak according to one’s convictions, free from government censorship or coercion, is still esteemed as sacrosanct.  Alliance Defending Freedom’s string of victories at the United States Supreme Court, including the most recent 303 Creative v. Elenis, testify to the Constitution’s enduring framework as a bulwark against government intrusion upon the right of conscience.

While these rights may enjoy unique protection in America, they are not unique to Americans; they are a birthright of humanity.  A current case, supported by ADF International, provides the opportunity for continued American leadership in human rights.  Yet, to date, the opportunity has been sadly missed or ignored.

Päivi Räsänen is a former member of the Finnish Parliament who, in response to her church’s decision to sponsor a local Pride parade, questioned whether the sponsorship was consistent with biblical teaching on the subject.  While an appeal to Scripture by a congregant to question the pastoral direction of her church would seem benign, if not uncommon, the reaction by a Finnish prosecutor was anything but.

Päivi faced a grueling 13-hour interrogation by police followed by an investigation of her past public statements.  Investigators unearthed a church pamphlet on sexuality she had authored in 2004 as well as comments made on a radio show in 2019.  Utilizing a law enacted to combat war crimes and crimes against humanity, the prosecutor charged Päivi with three counts of “agitation against a minority group” — and charged Lutheran bishop Juhana Pohjola for publishing the pamphlet.

Päivi may be an elected civil servant, but this was clearly an internal dispute between a church member and its leadership.  The trial court recognized this obvious intrusion by the state into matters of faith and unanimously acquitted Päivi and Juhana, stating, “It is not for the district court to interpret biblical concepts.”  But the prosecutor has appealed the decision, demonstrating that the ideological zeal for making an example of Päivi’s cultural heresy remains undeterred.  The crusade against Päivi is set for re-trial on Aug. 31.

John Stuart Mill, in an 1867 address at the University of St. Andrews, stated: “Let not anyone pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part and forms no opinion.  Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.  He is not a good man who, without a protest, allows wrong to be committed in his name, and with the means which he helps to supply, because he will not trouble himself to use his mind on the subject.”

To date, the U.S. ambassador at large for international religious freedom, Rashad Hussain, has apparently not troubled himself to publicly decry the injustice of the attack on religious freedom by our friend and ally, Finland.  Members of Congress recently sent a letter to Ambassador Hussain and U.S. ambassador to Finland Douglas Hickey voicing outrage at the Finnish government’s “egregious and harassing” prosecution of Päivi and Juhana.  The continued silence from the Biden administration is deafening.

More than a century before America took its rightful place among the nations of the world, the English poet John Donne penned “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” which concludes with “Each man’s death diminishes me, for I am involved in mankind.  Therefore, send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.”  Päivi Rasanen’s life is not in jeopardy, but her most sacred liberty is.  As the bell tolls for her on Aug. 31, will the Biden administration turn a deaf ear?

The Netherlands has joined its German neighbors by entering into a recession after the Dutch economy recorded two consecutive quarters of contraction so far this year.

The first estimate published by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) on Wednesday revealed the economy shrank by 0.3 percent in the second quarter of the year, following a 0.4 percent contraction in the first three months of 2023.

The country’s fortunes have notably deteriorated after the Dutch economy bounced back strongly from the coronavirus pandemic, recording almost 5 percent per year increases in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

“After the coronavirus dip, the Dutch economy recovered much quicker and stronger than the rest of Europe. In the last year that has turned around,” said CBS chief economist Peter Hein van Mulligen.

Broken down by industry, the agricultural and fisheries sector took the largest hit, contracting by 4.1 percent quarter-on-quarter. Trade, transport, and hospitality decreased by 2 percent, while water utilities and construction shrank by 1.5 percent and 0.5 percent respectively.

On the contrary, mining and quarrying increased by 10.9 percent, the energy supply sector rose by 8.5 percent, and the recreation and culture sector saw a 6.1 percent increase.

A decrease in the Dutch trade balance was one of the primary reasons for the contraction, according to the statistics office. The country generally traded less last month with its total volume of goods exports down by 1.5 percent in June year-on-year, and its imports down by 2.5 percent for the same period.

A decrease was mainly seen in exports of chemical, metal, and food products.

Meanwhile, Dutch household consumption increased with Dutch consumers spending more on energy and services than this time last year.

In total, households spent 1.2 percent more in June year-on-year. However, Dutch families spent 5.9 percent more on energy bills, 2 percent more on durable goods, and 0.9 percent more on services, while public consumption of food, drink, and tobacco dropped by 1.9 percent.

Looking ahead, we see a very flat GDP, with quarterly growth figures remaining close to zero,” wrote ING Group, the Dutch multinational banking giant. “The second quarter figures at first glance do not seem to call for a substantial change to the view that there will be growth of a few tenths of a percentage point for all of 2023.”

The Netherlands currently has an outgoing government following the announcement of Prime Minister Mark Rutte’s intention to stand down and retire from frontline politics.

An early general election is scheduled to be held in the country on Nov. 22, 2023.

A scandal in the capital’s police force. A chief inspector, of all people, allegedly robbed a car driver with a service weapon and a civilian service car and stole 57,000 euros in cash and mobile phones. Now he is a case for the public prosecutor.

On 19 July, the police officer (48) and an unknown accomplice allegedly stopped the motorist on the city motorway near Messedamm with “special signals and police signalling disk” and gave the impression that it was a “proper police measure”.

“He was allegedly wearing his official equipment, including his service weapon in a holster,” said a police spokesperson.

During the identity check, the 62-year-old victim was allegedly handcuffed and put into the police vehicle. Then the two perpetrators allegedly searched the car, took 57,000 euros and several mobile phones.

According information from the newspaper B.Z., the accused is Bülent L., of Turkish origin, from Directorate 5, where he is said to have worked in the AGIA (intercultural tasks) department.

The AGIA deals with criminal offences such as illegal entry, illegal prostitution and trafficking in duty unpaid cigarettes.

Especially brazen: “The police chief inspector is said to have even handed the alleged victim a police seizure report on which the confiscated money was not listed,” said the police spokesperson.

As B.Z. learned from investigators, the 48-year-old must have known about the transportation of the money. Whether he learned about it on business or privately is currently being investigated.

On Monday, the suspect’s flat and the offices were searched. There, “the official equipment used” and further evidence were confiscated. In addition, his service weapon was confiscated and taken for forensic purposes.

On the same day, the Tiergarten district court issued an arrest warrant. However, the accused has so far been spared imprisonment. The chief inspector is no longer allowed to perform his duties until the investigation is completed.

There is a silent tragedy of epic proportions going on in our country. It’s silent because the media refuses to connect the dots.

Have you noticed the tsunami of recent headlines about high-profile Americans who “died suddenly” or suffered heart attacks, strokes or blood clots at young ages. Celebrities, athletes, entertainers and CEOs are dropping dead, or having heart attacks.

Still, the media whistles past the graveyard.

There are always a thousand excuses. Anything and everything, EXCEPT blaming the COVID-19 vaccine. It can never be the vaccine.

Strange thing though: Virtually every one of these dead, crippled, disabled or seriously ill people have one thing in common: they were vaccinated. What a wild coincidence!

I’ll soon write a column about 65 friends, acquaintances and business associates of mine… people I personally know… who have died or suffered serious illness since being vaccinated. The numbers are piling up. These are not coincidences. It’s a pattern. Studying a pattern like this used to be called “science.”

In the meantime, I have one up-close and personal story that every American needs to hear. Last week I went out to dinner with one of my best friends (let’s call him Mike). He told me the story of his own sister, who was badly injured and disabled by the COVID-19 vaccine. He then informed me she’s a big fan of mine and watches my Real America’s Voice TV show every Saturday. He said she’d like to talk to me and share her story.

We spoke yesterday. Here’s her story.

Let’s call her Jane. She is an accomplished female CEO. Jane runs a medical organization that helps children. She wanted to stress to me how healthy she’d been before getting the vaccine. She traveled the world on business and lugged her own luggage everywhere. She biked 15 miles a day. She took one-hour spin classes. She ate healthy. She was on no medications.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jane never got COVID-19. She continued biking 15 miles several times per week. She walked 3 miles a day.

Then her doctor pressured her to take the COVID-19 vaccine. She was worried and skeptical, but eventually she relented. She took one Pfizer jab. One. No second jab. No booster. Just one.

That’s all it took to ruin her life. Jane will never be the same.

Within four hours she felt extreme nerve pain. Pain the likes of which she’d never felt in her life. Mind-numbing pain.

Then came the racing heart. Heart palpitations. Severe muscle twitching. Severe muscle weakness. Shortness of breath. Horrible fatigue. Brain fog so bad she could no longer focus, or deal with even basic tasks.

Next came blurred vision. Sensitivity to light and sound. Dry eyes and dry mouth. Dizziness. Ringing in her ears so loud she couldn’t think. Hair loss in clumps. Severe heartburn. Circulation problems: Her feet turned purple. She could barely walk. Internal tremors so bad, it felt like a cellphone was vibrating inside her body. She is in so much pain at night that she can’t sleep.

Jane also suffered from menstrual problems after getting the vaccine. She hemorrhaged so severely this past February that she was hospitalized and eventually required emergency surgery.

By March it was a new issue requiring hospitalization. Her heart was beating so fast it felt like it was going to explode. It went from 60 beats per minute to 165 within seconds. Her heart condition is so serious that she fears she could “die suddenly” at any time.

This is Jane’s new normal. She was perfectly healthy all her life. Then she took the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Her life instantly changed after that one vaccine. Now it’s difficult to walk to the bathroom.

But this is no fluke. Jane joined a Facebook group for COVID-19 vaccine victims. It’s now up to 5,000 members — all with similar stories.

They may be the lucky ones. My wife and I eat at our favorite restaurant every Friday night. The manager (call him John) stopped by our table every week to say hello. He always shared stories about his wife and daughter. His family was his life. We loved talking to John.

Three weeks ago, we walked into the restaurant. The GM told us John had just “died suddenly.” Never sick a day in his life, 52 years old, he suddenly keeled over and died of a heart attack in front of his wife. Since every employee had to be vaccinated to work, we know John was vaxxed. We will attend his memorial service this coming weekend.

The facts are out. The CDC’s own internal report shows over 117,000 excess deaths among American children since the vaccine. CHILDREN. That’s more excess dead children in two years than all the U.S. soldiers killed in the Vietnam War in a decade.

Life insurance companies report more excess deaths among working-age Americans since 2021 (the year the COVID-19 vaccine began) than at any time in history. What do working-age Americans have in common? The Biden administration forced them to take the vaccine or lose their jobs.

Ed Dowd, the former Blackrock money manager, who analyzes numbers for a living, says the disability rolls have grown by millions since the vaccine. MILLIONS. That’s why there is such a severe shortage of employees.

We know this is happening. The next victim could be you, your spouse, your children. To do nothing now; to make believe this isn’t happening; to hope it goes away; to try to cover it up; is no longer about ignorance, or delusion, or even greed.

At this point, to do nothing, to refuse to act, is a combination of pure evil, mass murder and crimes against humanity.
