As part of their return to paganism, leftists are determined to save Mother Earth from the parasite that is humankind. According to the leftists, our parasitism comes from the fact that, beginning with the industrial revolution and with accelerating speed as we built First World economies on fossil fuel, we poured so much CO2 into the atmosphere that we literally changed Mother Gaia’s climate. Even worse, we did so in a way that primarily affects marginalized people of color, women, and the gender confused. But what if the evidence shows that the Industrial Revolution and subsequent fossil fuel reliance didn’t trigger a massive CO2 increase? Well, we may find out.

Health Physics sounds like a new-age magazine dedicated to the health-giving properties of vegan or bug diets. It’s not, though. Instead, it’s a peer-reviewed medical journal founded in 1956 to study radiation safety and radiation’s role in healthcare. So, while I can’t vouch for its quality, I can vouch for its serious, not foolish and trendy, nature.

In February 2022, Health Physics published a little-noticed study that recently received so much attention, the publisher removed the paywall behind which the article previously hid. The article’s title is mind-numbing: “World Atmospheric CO₂, Its ¹⁴C Specific Activity, Non-fossil Component, Anthropogenic Fossil Component, and Emissions (1750–2018).” The three authors are all academics in the field of radiology with ties to the University of Massachusetts Lowell (something I figured out here.)

According to the study, it is true that CO2 began to increase a bit with the Industrial Revolution. However, the increase in CO2 because of human fossil fuel use has been negligible and could not have caused the climate to change. Here’s the authors’ abstract:

After 1750 and the onset of the industrial revolution, the anthropogenic fossil component and the non-fossil component in the total atmospheric CO₂ concentration, C(t), began to increase. Despite the lack of knowledge of these two components, claims that all or most of the increase in C(t) since 1800 has been due to the anthropogenic fossil component have continued since they began in 1960 with “Keeling Curve: Increase in CO₂ from burning fossil fuel.” Data and plots of annual anthropogenic fossil CO₂ emissions and concentrations, C(t), published by the Energy Information Administration, are expanded in this paper. Additions include annual mean values in 1750 through 2018 of the ¹⁴C specific activity, concentrations of the two components, and their changes from values in 1750. The specific activity of ¹⁴C in the atmosphere gets reduced by a dilution effect when fossil CO₂, which is devoid of ¹⁴C, enters the atmosphere. We have used the results of this effect to quantify the two components. All results covering the period from 1750 through 2018 are listed in a table and plotted in figures. These results negate claims that the increase in C(t) since 1800 has been dominated by the increase of the anthropogenic fossil component. We determined that in 2018, atmospheric anthropogenic fossil CO₂ represented 23% of the total emissions since 1750 with the remaining 77% in the exchange reservoirs. Our results show that the percentage of the total CO₂ due to the use of fossil fuels from 1750 to 2018 increased from 0% in 1750 to 12% in 2018, much too low to be the cause of global warming. (Emphasis mine.)

There are two actual, stubborn facts to note. First, the Earth’s climate has been changing without pause since it came into being. Indeed, the Earth is incredibly dynamic. I live near the South Carolina coast. Although I’m several miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean, there is sand everywhere. That’s because my neck of the woods used to be the bottom of a primeval ocean. In the same way, the Sahara Desert was once a verdant primeval forest. The Earth’s climate changed, and humans adapted because that’s what they do.

Second, plants need CO2. I happen to know some (legal) marijuana growers who pump CO2 into their indoor crop to facilitate its growth. More CO2, not less CO2, is good for human beings.

That leftists are so terrified of something that makes food more, rather than less, available for people across the planet tells you everything you need to know about their long-term agenda for humankind. The favored people will live in comfortable enclaves with good food of the type routinely served at World Economic Forum gatherings. The rest of us will be at the mercy of painfully hot or cold weather and survive on a diet of bugs and lab-grown sludge.

The commencement of regular output from a much-delayed Finnish nuclear reactor in April saw electricity prices in the country decrease by more than 75 percent.

The Olkiluoto 3 (OL3) nuclear plant completed the transition from testing to regular output last month to become Finland’s first new nuclear plant in more than four decades. It is expected to produce up to 15 percent of the country’s power demand.

And while the plant’s production is still in its early days, its launch has had a considerable effect on Finland’s energy prices, lowering the electricity spot price in the country from €245.98 per megawatt-hour (MWh) in December to €60.55 per MWh in April, a reduction of more than 75 percent, according to physical electricity exchange, Nord Pool.

Energy prices had risen sharply in the Scandinavian country after the Finnish government banned electricity imports from neighboring Russia last year due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The utilization of nuclear power will be welcomed by Finnish consumers, particularly given the fact that Finland has the highest per-capita electricity consumption in the European Union.

“We have had more stability in the system because of OL3. It’s a huge nuclear plant, one of the biggest in the world, connected to a small system,” said Jukka Ruusunen, chief executive of Finland’s national grid operator Fingrid. “It has its own risks, which we are happy to follow up on,” he added.

Speaking to The National, Ruusunen explained that wind power is expected to be the largest source of energy production in Finland by 2027, with nuclear currently being a useful and reliable substitute.

He said that wind power is capable of attracting greater investment, with nuclear energy seemingly being blacklisted by a number of environmental investors.

“Nuclear, it seems, is not very attractive for the investors. This is what they say. But, it’s an option and I’m sure that our politicians would be in favor of these decisions,” he told the news site. There are also business concerns: “Who dares to put billions of euros into nuclear?” he asked.

Nuclear, however, continues to be an increasingly popular source of energy production in many EU nations with France, Sweden, Poland and Hungary all seeking to expand their nuclear energy output.

Last month, Poland secured $4 billion in U.S. funding to help build 20 small modular reactors across the country by 2029, while Hungary is focused on expanding its Paks nuclear power plant.

The Finnish example is a testament to how nuclear can play a part in solving the current energy crisis, with consumers still paying sky-high fees for energy in many European countries.

Germany, however, went the opposite way and controversially closed down its three remaining nuclear power plants last month. High inflation, high energy costs, and a sharp decline in industrial output have led to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicting a recession is in the cards for Europe’s powerhouse.

While German government officials say that energy prices are stabilizing, many will argue this is primarily because the federal government has spent around €26 billion in taxpayers’ cash on bailing out energy firms Sefe and Uniper, both of which incurred record losses by purchasing natural gas at hugely inflated prices to replace the banned supply from Russia.

As other European countries turn to alternative sources of energy production such as nuclear, some have ignored the benefits and chosen to plunge themselves into debt because of a notion that nuclear isn’t an acceptable energy source in the modern day.

“In Roubaix, Muslims are the majority in Catholic schools. In the northern districts of Marseille, the Saint-Joseph-Viala private Catholic school has nearly 100 percent Muslim pupils. In the Catholic schools of Seine-Saint-Denis they exceed 50 percent”.

The investigation by the French magazine Marianne released this week is mind-boggling.

“Since the late 1960s, the admission of ‘non-Christian pupils’ to Catholic schools has led the Church to consider this problem.” After some hesitation, Catholic Education has released a guide for its leaders: “Muslims in Catholic Schools”. It is recommended to involve a leader of a mosque or an association, unthinkable in the public sphere. “How to deal with students who refuse to go to the swimming pool during Ramadan?”.

During periods such as Ramadan, the absences of children are not sanctioned. Furthermore, the children can pray freely in the dedicated room which is made available to them. Islam understands what it gains. But the Catholics? They have every right to defend their faith. It is not only other religions that have the right to promote their faith.

“Suddenly, the Catholic school finds itself destabilized”, Libération wrote ten years ago. “How to welcome all these Muslim students without risking losing one’s soul?”.

Le Figaro tells us that “in Seine-Saint-Denis, Catholic institutions have a third Muslim students and even more. The situation is similar in the suburbs of Lyon”. From a report in the Courrier International: “It is estimated that young people of the Islamic faith now represent more than 10 percent of the 2 million students in private Catholic education. In the industrial regions of the north of the country, the proportion exceeds 50 percent”. Even in Mulhouse, in Alsace, Islamism proliferates in Catholic schools.

What could possibly go wrong? Thus Le Figaro recounts that “in a Catholic elementary school, 70 percent of the pupils are Muslims. And when the principal decided to install a nativity scene during Advent, a Muslim parent asked to remove it”.

Demography is a steamroller gaining strength with time. In France, only Jews and Muslims pass on their religious tradition to the new generation.

Already ten years ago, Le Parisien wrote: “Catholic schools are welcoming more and more Muslim pupils. In some departments, like Evry, up to 25 percent. A phenomenon in full expansion”.

It also happens in England, says the Times. Muslim pupils outnumber Christian children in more than 30 Church schools, including Church of England primary schools which have a “100 per cent Muslim population”. Twenty Anglican and as many Catholic schools have more Muslim than Christian pupils.

From the Guardian: “The concrete and glass St Albert Primary School sits uncomfortably amongst elegant brownstone villas on a wide, tree-lined street in the south Glasgow suburb of Pollokshields. It’s not just the school’s architecture that is incongruous. St. Albert is Catholic. Yet the majority of his pupils, certainly more than 75 percent, are Muslim. At 3 pm, when the school doors open wide and the children swarm out, most are greeted by mothers dressed black; their heads, even their faces, are veiled.”

The end of the trend is Belgium. The first Muslim principal of a Catholic school in Flanders. In Belgium, which is only slightly ahead of France in the process of disintegration, in many Catholic schools 90 percent of the students are Muslims. In the Catholic schools of Flanders more space is given to Islam not only in textbooks, but also in prayer rooms for Muslims and ad hoc courses on the Koran. In Brussels, even the “Daughters of Mary Institute” now has a Muslim majority.

The great medievalist Henri Pirenne in 1937 wrote a forgotten and prophetic book, “Mohammed and Charlemagne”. I’m rereading it these days and it ends like this:

“The rupture of ancient tradition had as its instrument the rapid and unforeseen advance of Islam. This resulted in the separation of East from West, putting an end to Mediterranean unity. Countries like Africa and Spain, which had continued to participate in the Western community, gravitated into Baghdad’s orbit thereafter. Another religion, another culture appeared; the western Mediterranean became a Muslim lake”.

A 33-year-old woman was shot dead in Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurdwara complex in Patiala in Punjab for allegedly ‘consuming’ liquor, police said on Monday.

Police have recovered tobacco packets and a bottle of liquor from the spot.

Victim Parminder Kaur was allegedly under the influence of liquor and was ‘consuming’ it near the sarovar on the gurdwara complex. The crime occurred on Sunday night.

The accused, Nirmaljit Singh Saini, has been arrested.

“Prima facie it seems the accused’s religious sentiments were hurt and he shot at the woman, killing her on the spot,” a police official told the media.

Further details were awaited.

The European Union does not have the power to implement laws punishing someone for raping an animal, the Commission has said.

A member of the European Commission has said that the EU has no powers to punish people for raping animals, saying that the controls for such legislation lie solely in the hands of member states.

The statement was made in response to a question from one member of the European Parliament, who criticised recent laws passed by the Spanish government which they said made it “ambiguous” whether beastiality was fully illegal in the country, before asking the commission whether the EU had a view and if they could step in.

In an answer published on Friday, Health and Food Safety Commissioner Stella Kyriakides responded that, while the EU does not approve of sexually abusing animals, the body largely had no control over the issue, with the ability to legislate on the matter of raping animals being left in the hands of individual EU nation-states.

“Deeply regrettable as they are, such [sex] acts as described remain solely under the competence of the Member States, as they cannot be said to affect the functioning of the internal market and therefore interfere with EU competences,” she said.

The commissioner went on to claim that, while the bloc’s Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union did touch on the rights of animals, it nevertheless “does not provide a legal basis permitting [the EU] to address all animal welfare issues”.

“[T]he Commission can only act within the limits of the competences (sic) conferred to it by the Treaties and therefore is not empowered to propose rules addressing sexual abuses against animals such as those covered by the Spanish law at issue,” Kyriakides went on to say.

Such a statement on behalf of the commission is notable for it being a straight admission of a lack of EU control in a particular area, with top Eurocrats largely fighting for more control to be handed to Brussels by national governments.

A French senator was ordered to pay a fine of €1,000 on Friday after a Marseille court ruled that his tweet from July 2021 claiming that “immigration is killing the youth of France” was akin to racial defamation.

Stéphane Ravier, who was a National Rally senator at the time of the tweet before joining Éric Zemmour’s Reconquête in 2022, had posted a photo of a young salesman at a phone store killed with a knife the day before in Seine-et-Marne, accompanying it with the following message: “Theo, 18, murdered yesterday by a Senegalese in #ClayeSouilly. Immigration is killing the youth of France.”

The public prosecutor in Marseille ruled that the crime of racial defamation was well characterized in the message. It had been reported to the prosecutor’s office by the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism (Licra).

“The juxtaposition of the assassin’s Senegalese nationality and the term ‘immigration’ is indeed aimed at a particular community, the immigrant community, and it even indicates a geographical origin,” said Alain Berthomieu, head of the Albi prosecutor’s office, as reported by Le Figaro.

Mr. Ravier denies all charges of racism, saying that the tweet — which he never removed from the social network Twitter — was a simple political comment in reaction to a “dramatic” news item.

“There is no race, nationality, nor religion denounced, but the consequences of a policy,” he insisted, judging that there was “no designation or will” on his part to “say that all Senegalese or all foreigners are criminals.”

“My tweet is not there to create controversy, it is there to make known my position, which is not new,” continued the right-wing senator, who added that he considered it his “duty” as a politician to “denounce a phenomenon,” namely “the immigration policy (in France) and its consequences.”

His lawyer, Pierre-Vincent Lambert, warned the court that its decision could “send a signal that any negative criticism of immigration should be censored,” which could lead to magistrates being quickly “overwhelmed with procedures.” Describing the elected official as a “sort of scavenger who feeds on current events by always taking the same target,” Alain Lhote, lawyer for the anti-racist association, La Maison des Potes, a civil party alongside Licra and the League of Human Rights, asked the court for a “firm” sentence so that this “toxic language will dry up in the city.”

The decision, which has been taken under advisement, will be rendered on July 7.

Stéphane Ravier is a French politician and former civil servant who has represented the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the Senate since 2014. He previously held a seat in the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur from 2010 to 2016.

Democrats rule Minnesota in no small part due to replacing the American population with the folks who were shooting down American black hawks in Somalia back in the day. In this progressive utopia where men are women and the women wear hijabs and abortion can be practiced until 0.00001 seconds before birth, not all is well.

We tried nation-building in Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan by introducing democracy and it didn’t go so well.

Nation-building in Minneapolis by trying to introduce democracy to the Islamic colonists isn’t going so well.

A Minneapolis Democrat endorsing convention was completely derailed after supporters for an insurgent candidate stormed the stage at a K-8 school and started a brawl.

Shocking video shows that the chaos first started with intense booing as team members for incumbent Ward 10 Councilmember Aisha Chughtai and her team took the stage at the Ella Baker Global Studies & Humanities Magnet School in hopes of obtaining the endorsement of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party.

The fracas took a sharp turn after one woman from challenger Nasri Warsame’s team aggressively rushed toward a Chughtai supporter while shouting and pointing.

Other supporters from Warsame’s camp quickly followed suit and formed a mosh beneath the school’s stage.

The clash between camps — differentiated by Chughtai’s signature yellow shirts and Warsame’s blue signs — bled onto the stage, with the same Warsame supporter who initiated the melee belligerently slamming a table that was to be used for the endorsement proceedings.

Cops said at least one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another was treated at the scene.

Warsame claimed that two members of his team were sent to the hospital with injuries sustained in the scuffle.

“My campaign manager has been assaulted by one of the other campaign staff member, and he’s now being transported to hospital by an ambulance,” the candidate claimed in a Facebook post.

Chughtai released a formal statement blaming Warsame for inciting the incident.

Hopefully we can bring in U.S. troops and try explaining democracy to them before it spills over into genocide.

Nasri Warsame, according to his campaign site, is a “former refugee from Somalia” who is “actively working to improve the lives of my Somali community” and is working to “achieve our shared goals of safety, inclusion and environmental justice.”

Also, as “a black man, the murder of George Floyd by on-duty Minneapolis police officers deeply affected me.”

Aisha Chughtai is a Pakistani daughter of immigrants who “helped found the Muslim Caucus of the Young Democrats of America” who worked on the Bernie Sanders campaign and “after the murder of George Floyd, I helped lead my neighbors in Whittier to come together and keep one another safe when white nationalists were threatening us”.

Hopefully, both sides can work it out with a sustained campaign of suicide bombings while holding up icons of St. George of the Drug Overdose followed by blaming the whole thing on “systemic racism”.

“This is embarrassing! We are shutting this down! This is no longer safe!” convention chair Sam Doten said before officially adjourning the convention with a gavel slam.

Despite hearing reports of several injuries and fights, Minneapolis police declined to make any arrests, a spokesperson told the Star Tribune.

Of course not, why would they. They must not defile the sacred memory of St. George of the Home Invasion by arresting his worshipers.

Aisha claimed the Somali’s campaign “punched multiple women of color” and “shoved and harassed LGBTQIA2S+ delegates and supporters.”

Women of color and LGBTQI78ZX3? supporters? This is serious. But who was punching them? Perhaps other LGBGRQA49$ women of color?

This is clearly a job for intersectionality. Maybe someone can summon the ghost of George Floyd to solve the matter? Just burn several incense sticks of fentanyl, recite Allah’s name three times and then blame systemic racism.

While President Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis were duking it out in the Midwest, Joe Biden went presidentially campaigning, too, pandering for the black vote.

According to NPR:

Speaking at the school’s 155th commencement ceremony on Saturday, the president echoed rhetoric from his 2020 campaign, characterizing the current moment as a “battle for the soul of our nation” and calling on graduates to help lead the country into a new era of progress.

“We’re living through one of the most consequential eras of our history with fundamental questions about the stake for our nation,” he told the crowd at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. “Who are we? What do we stand for? What do we believe? Who will we be? You’re going to help answer those questions.”

Biden also cast himself as the antidote to what he implied was a rising tolerance for racism, directly mentioning Donald Trump’s infamous characterization of the deadly white supremacist rally in Charlottesville as “very fine people on both sides.”

Which sounds a little dreary:

Vote for Biden or ‘They’re gonna put y’all back in chains.’

Vote for Biden or ‘You ain’t black.’

Biden of course is an elderly white man with a record of racially skeevy statements — everything from declaring President Obama ‘clean’ and ‘articulate.’ to criticizing racial desegregation measures as a ‘racial jungle,’ to making offensive jokes about industrious Indian immigrants working in low-wage service jobs, serving him.

Sound like the guy to rope them in? No wonder black voters are increasingly joining the Republicans.

 Even Biden seemed to understand this, which is why he touted his various ‘firsts ‘of a few individuals — Kamala o blaHarris (a Howard alum who was oddly not there) as his vice president, Ketanji Brown Jackson as a Supreme Court justice…

His Republican rivals have made many such ‘firsts’ too, so that’s not the winning hand he wants his audience to think.

What he’s offering is thin gruel, if not downright slop, compared to what his predecessor, President Trump, brought to the black community on his watch.

Under Trump, black Americans “thrived” economically, as USAToday put it. Black unemployment rate hit record lows, accompanied by record-high black labor force participation. Black homeownership rose to new heights, and black prosperity amassed significantly. 

It did so for the same reason those economic indicators rose significantly among white Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, handicapped people, ex-prisoners, and everyone else — tax cuts, ending bureaucratic red tape on job-creators and creating respect abroad.

The NPR piece, cited above, notes that Biden is making this reemergence from his basement because black voters are already deserting the Democrats in droves.

Biden has no idea how to win them back, other than by beating the racial resentment drum and hoping that some of what bounces off sticks.

Anything but cut taxes and end overregulation, which would benefit more than blacks but wouldn’t have that racial grievance-mongering he looks for

I will rape you and your mother because I have the right to do so”.

On the witness stand, the stocky defendant with a full beard asserted that he had knocked on the door with the best of intentions: “I wanted to apologise for my behaviour”. However, this was not the suspect’s first outburst. When he returned from a trip a few days earlier, the follower of a radical (“Salafist”) Islam had sent a frightening message to the young woman with whom he had been chatting on Facebook for three weeks. What was the reasoning? She refused – even then – to marry him: “Soon we will cut your throats and play football with your heads”. The text was accompanied by a video showing a beheading scene.
