Manchester attack plotter Hashem Abedi refusing to participate in prison deradicalisation programme

Inside HMP Frankland: ITV News gains unprecedented access to the prison where some of the most dangerous criminals including terrorists are being held

ITV News understands that Hashem Abedi, the Manchester Arena bomb plotter, is refusing to co-operate with a deradicalisation programme in prison – and is being held at a Separation Centre away from other inmates over concerns he could radicalise other prisoners.

Our cameras were given unprecedented access to HMP Frankland in County Durham and HMP Full Sutton near York where Abedi and some of the country’s most dangerous criminals are being held.

The Separation Centre at HMP Frankland, where Abedi is an inmate, is reserved for the most radical terrorists – a ‘prison within a prison’. It has never been seen before on camera until now.

Five people currently occupy the separation centre. The Ministry of Justice never confirms the names of its occupants – but ITV News understands Abedi is among them.

Hashem Abedi was sentenced in August 2020 to a minimum of 55 years in jail for the murder of 22 people in the Manchester Arena bombing, helping to plan the attack in which his brother Salman detonated a bomb after an Ariana Grande concert in May 2017.

Our cameras captured the voices of inmates in the Separation Centre shouting to each other through open windows. They spoke Arabic and discussed listening to the radio and taking naps.

Outside of their cell – which consists of a bed, toilet, sink, table and chair – the Separation Centre inmates socialise with one another in their own separate facilities.

There they have space to work out, a laundry room with their own roster, kitchen space, and a shower room.

At HMP Frankland’s control centre, ITV News UK Editor Paul Brand watched on CCTV one inmate, who ITV News believes to be Abedi, talking to another prisoner we believe to be a former Taliban fighter jailed for plotting terror attacks in the UK.

We have learned all but one of the five men in the Separation Centre have refused to participate in the prison’s deradicalisation programme. ITV News understands Abedi is among those not co-operating.

The deradicalisation of inmates within the prison walls at both HMP Frankland and HMP Full Sutton is a resource and time consuming endeavour.

Governors, psychologists, and prison imams all work with inmates to begin this process, in the hope they are rehabilitated for life on release.

Richard Vipond, Probation Officer and Prison Offender Manager at HMP Frankland, told ITV News of an incident with one inmate at the prison.“One particular person I was working with, we opened his cell door and he said ‘I’m not going talk to you, you’re an enemy of Islam, you’re an Islamophobe, you’re my enemy’,” he said.“There are some people that are so entrenched in their views, in their ideologies and their beliefs that we just become a holding centre for them.”But those working within the prison walls insist they have to keep trying to rehabilitate and deradicalise prisoners.

Reacting to our report, Lucy Jarvis, who was injured in the bombing, told ITV News she thought it was “disgusting” that Abedi was able to “socialise with people… on the same wavelength as him”.

“He doesn’t deserve any right to socialise with people, especially someone who is unfortunately on the same wavelength as him with these disgusting things,” Ms Jarvis said.

Adam Lawler, who was also injured and lost his best friend Olivia Campbell-Hardy, told ITV News prisoners “should not be socialising like that”.

He added: “Both of them need separating, sending to different prisons, segregation – whatever it takes.

“Don’t let anyone with terrorist contacts socialise with other people with terrorist contacts.

“It’s plain sense. I don’t know, I didn’t think he would be allowed to socialise in prison anyway considering the nature and high-priority prisoner he is.”

Locked up behind high walls of concrete, barbed wire and steel gates at HMP Frankland near Durham and HMP Full Sutton near York lie the men responsible for some of the most hideous crimes in modern British history.Abedi is housed alongside the country’s most notorious terrorists, including Thomas Mair, murderer of MP Jo Cox, and the Parsons Green bomber Ahmed Hassan.

Soham murderer Ian Huntley, Milly Dowler’s killer Levi Bellfield and until his recent death the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe are the infamous names we understand are housed at the two prisons.

The Ministry of Justice granted ITV News access to HMP Frankland and Full Sutton to give an insight into how they attempt to deal with, house, categorise and deradicalise prisoners convicted of offences under the Terrorism Act.

Part of the reason for allowing that access is due to the criticism the MoJ faced following the Fishmongers’ Hall attack in which convicted terrorist Usman Khan killed two people at a prisoner rehabilitation event in November 2019.

A damning inquest concluded that a string of failures by authorities led to the deaths of Saskia Jones and Jack Merritt.Khan had been released from prison 11 months before the attack and was under strict licence conditions.

But weeks of testimony found there were failed chances to stop Khan’s fatal attack, missed warning signs he would commit another attack and during his time in prison he mixed and associated with high profile extremists, including soldier Lee Rigby’s killer Michael Adebowale, and hate preacher Abu Hamza.

Nationwide public outcry in Lebanon: women in swimsuits must leave public beach, authorities line up with Islamists

On May 14, two “fundamentalist” Sunni religious dignitaries accompanied by “followers” stormed the public beach of Saida in southern Lebanon and demanded bathing couples “leave the place because of the women’s clothing, which was considered indecent,” as reported by the Lebanese daily L’Orient-Le Jour.

The case quickly became a nationwide issue, especially after complaints from another couple who refused to comply with the requests, saying they had been physically assaulted.

On Sunday, May 21, two banned protests took place in front of Saida’s public beach: On one side were “feminist protesters demanding the right of women to access this beach without clothing restrictions,” and on the other, “a group of Islamists who rejected the presence of women in swimwear,” the Lebanese newspaper reported.

Some shouted “Allah Akbar” (“Allah is great”), while others chanted “Feminist revolt against patriarchy.”

The Saida Municipality has banned alcoholic beverages on public beaches and called on beachgoers to “adhere to proper attire.” These instructions can be read on signs at the entrance to the beach. Courrier International

UK: Leftist Politician Caught ‘Photoshopping’ Picture to Hide Luxury Class Plane Seat

Rachel Reeves. screen grab youtube

A senior Labour Party politician has been accused of hypocrisy after photoshopping a picture of herself on an  aeroplane in an apparent attempt to cover up that she was travelling in a luxury seat.

Labour’s Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, who would be in charge of the UK economy should the left-wing party come into power, has reportedly been caught trying to obscure that she was travelling in business class — once known as first class — on a British Airways flight from London to New York.

The Labour MP posted a picture on Twitter of herself on the aircraft on Sunday evening, while writing: “With a Labour Government, we will restore our economic dignity at home and abroad. Tonight, I fly to the US to start that work.”

However, internet sleuths quickly realised that the picture, which included her boarding pass, revealed that she was sitting in the luxury seat 3K. In an attempt to avoid accusations of hypocrisy, the post was deleted and re-uploaded the photo with her seat number blurred out, according to Westminster gossip site Guido Fawkes, which estimated the cost of the ticket to be between £2,200 and £8,000.

Yet, the damage was already done, so the second edited photo from her account.

The incident comes as Labour, which has of late become the party of the metropolitan liberal elites, forgetting its roots standing up for the working man, is attempting to reconnect with its working-class roots in order to seize power back from the Conservatives in the upcoming general election. The left-wing party has also recently criticised the governing Tory party — not without evidence — for jet-setting around the world on the taxpayer’s dime.

The Labour Party refused to disclose who funded the luxury travel for Ms Reeves, however, a spokesman told The Telegraph: “All donations relating to the funding of this visit will be declared in the Register of Members’ Financial Interests in the usual manner.”

“Rachel Reeves is visiting the US to promote Labour’s economic plans for the future, strengthen our relationships and rebuild confidence in the UK after the Conservatives’ catastrophic economic crash last autumn,” the spokesman added.

Commenting on the apparent hypocrisy from the left, Tory MP Brendan Clarke-Smith said: “Start spreading the news. When it comes to luxury travel, with Labour they still expect to be top of the list – it’s a case of do as I say, not as I do.

“Whilst they claim they want to make a brand new start of it, when it comes down to it, to be frank, they are still the same old hypocrites they’ve always been.”

Migrants turn German city of Plauen into no-go zone

Wikimedia Commons,ErwinMeier, CC-BY-SA-4.0

Saxony is generally considered to have some of the lowest migrant numbers in Germany, and for years, commentators and newspapers made a point of lambasting the region’s anti-immigrant sentiment when there were few living there. Now, the mayor of Plauen is desperate as crime and violence soar in his city due to migrants dominating the city center, harassing pedestrians and committing serious crimes, including a case of attempted manslaughter.

Mayor Steffen Zenner (CDU) says there are “repeated ugly scenes of violence and physical altercations in the middle of our city center.”

He told the Bild newspaper that “the violence is mainly caused by migrants,” but emphasizes “that the majority of migrants living in Plauen abide by law and order.”

The first incident the mayor notes was on April 29 involving a large-scale brawl at Postplatz, which shocked those in the downtown area. Police say that Iraqi, Romanian and Syrian youths were involved, with an investigation opened into dangerous bodily harm.

Another scene of violence occurred the following week, involving a physical altercation between North Africans, Kurds and Arabs, this time in a dance hall in Plauen. The following day, the feuding parties went to settle the conflict at Postplatz, which saw a Syrian stab an Iraqi. The knife attack was nearly deadly, with emergency services barely able to save the man’s life.

In the city of 65,000, locals are increasingly avoiding the city center, according to Bild. Businesses are complaining that their sales are falling due to the violence, and employees are using back exits to avoid the crowds of migrants occupying the center. Bild now describes the area as a “no-go zone” for many living and working there.

Mayor Zenner is now calling for “upper limits on immigration, as well as European and national border security measures that are transnational and concerted.” The mayor says that 40 percent of the non-Ukrainian migrants in the city have deportation orders, but they are not being removed. Germany is well known for its lower deportation rate, even for convicted migrants. As Remix News reported in 2021, migrants with deportation orders committed 2,500 crimes in Saxony in 2020.

The Alternative for Germany (AfD) parliamentary group in Saxony says the CDU, to which Zenner belongs, is part of the problem. Saxon Interior Minister Armin Schuster (CDU) has repeatedly failed to deal with the crisis, according to the AfD.

Other German cities are facing similar problems involving public disorder and crime from Germany’s growing immigrant population, including the “green” university city of Freiburg, which has seen riots and scenes of violence over the last year.

India: Are Islamists on a molestation jihad drive in Kerala?

Molestation jihadis Arshad from Kasargod & Nizamuddin from Kannur

Another attempt to molest a woman was reported on a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus from Malappuram in Kerala. Nizamuddin from Asmas House, a native of Vengad Kannur, was taken into police custody in the incident. The 24-year-old woman was sexually assaulted near Valanchery last night.

The incident happened on a KSRTC superfast bus between Kanhangad in Kasargod and Pathanamthitta. The lady and Nizamuddin boarded the bus from Kannur. He boarded the bus after the woman and was believed to be stalking prey. The sexual pervert jumped onto the bus and sat near the woman.

Nizamuddin started harassing the woman when the vehicle reached Kozhikode. The lady informed the bus conductor about this, and the conductor asked Nizamuddin to change seats. Accordingly, he apologized and changed his seat. Why didn’t the conductor inform authorities immediately remains unknown?

But when the bus reached Valanchery in Malappuram, Nizamuddin approached the woman again. He attempted to harass the lady again sexually. The victim raised a noise, and the accused tried to alight the bus. The bus driver and other passengers immediately blocked his escape.

The victim then called the KSRTC emergency number and complained. They informed the Valanchery police, who arrived and stopped the bus, and arrested Nizamuddin. Nizamuddin was then taken to the Valanchery police station. A case has been registered against him. Malappuram police claimed he was being interrogated in detail.

POCSO Undertrial Flashes at Nurse

Another Islamist was detained for exposing himself to a nurse who had just alighted from a bus. The incident happened in Kasargod distinct. Arshad (34), who belongs to Rajapuram police station and is now a resident of Hosdurg police station, was arrested. The incident took place on Friday morning.

The victim is a nurse at a private hospital near Kanhangad, Kasargod. She got off the bus at Kotacherry and was walking along the road when the young man in the goods autorickshaw called her and performed a nudity display.

The woman immediately approached Hosdurg police and complained. A police patrol team reached the spot and took Arshad into custody. He is a fruit vendor who sells fruits in his goods auto.

Incidentally, Arshad was arrested in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case on January 14. He is accused of making obscene displays towards young girls who were leaving school. Usually, POCSO crimes are six-month non-bailable offenses.

On that day, Arshad arrived in a goods autorickshaw and stopped the vehicle on the road in front of under-age 11 and 13-year-old student girls who were on their way home after tuition. He raised his dhoti and performed lewd sexual acts before the minor girls. The accused has been arrested again in a similar case after being released from jail.

Why do our courts readily grant bail to such perverts? Are they encouraging and covertly promoting such crimes?

Savad Arrested for Sexual Assault on a KSRTC bus

Just last week, HinduPost reported how a young Islamist pervert named Savad sexually assaulted Nandita Sankara, a young actress, and model, inside a KSRTC bus. Nandita felt his hand rubbing against her hip and saw that the pervert had unzipped, pulled out his private parts, and was masturbating openly.

When the young victim complained, Kavil Savad Sha (27) of Kayakkody, Kozhikode, ran away from the bus. He was chased by the conductor and driver of the bus and was caught and handed over to the police. The lady shared the plight she faced on her social media page. The incident happened in Ernakulam.

A clear and present threat related to molestation jihad against non-Mulsim ladies exists in Kerala. Local green communists attempt to downplay the Nandita event as a singular incidence, even though similar sexual attacks against Hindu girls are a severe problem.

How soon will Hindu society change and accept that jihadis target young girls who do not wear the dreaded burka? Should Hindus react rather than wait for our pathetic anti-Hindu legal system to protect us?

Germany: Migrants stab anti-immigration AfD politician and injure him life-threatening

Wikimedia Commons, flamencCC-BY-SA-3.0

Last Thursday (May 18), an assassination attempt was made on an AfD member of parliament in Schleswig-Holstein. The man suffered life-threatening injuries.

The crime took place in the evening in Schleswig. A group consisting of two men and a woman with an immigrant background tried to push the politician Bent Lund off the road from his Mercedes SUV. They were, according to the AfD-Schleswig-Holstein, on the road with a motorcycle. When they did not succeed in pushing off, however, they pursued Lund to his front door. So they sprayed him first pepper spray in the face and then one perpetrator tried to stab the politician several times.

He managed to fend off four stabbing attempts, but the fifth hit him hard, narrowly missing his heart. He was immediately transported to a clinic by emergency ambulance and treated. In the meantime, he left the clinic at his own request out of concern for his 16-year-old son.

His son also received a third death threat from the same group of perpetrators. He is now in a safe place and is being protected.

Record low: 25% of German 4th graders can’t read properly, growing diversity a major factor

A quarter of all Germany’s fourth-grade students fail to meet minimum standards in reading comprehension, according to the International Primary School Reading Survey (IGLU), which is equivalent to the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS). German students are performing so poorly that it is beginning to raise alarms from policymakers and academic experts, who point out that the country’s elementary school students are performing far worse than 20 years ago. These same experts indicate that Germany’s economic and social future prospects may be bleak due to the country’s increasingly poor education results.

One of the major factors is Germany’s transformational immigration regime, which has seen the share of ethnic German students fall precipitously. In the previous IGLU survey from 2017, the number of students who failed to meet minimum standards was 19 percent. In 2001, it was 17 percent. Given that much of the German economy depends on cutting-edge manufacturing technology and skilled craftsmen and women, the trend line is dire.

“In the end, the lack of reading skills not only endangers the social participation of many people but also Germany as a whole as a business location,” said Susanne Lin-Klitzing, who serves as the chairwoman of the German Association of Philologists.

Migration a major factor in worsening results

According to the survey, these “disparities” are directly related to social and migration pressures. As Remix News previously reported, increasing diversity in the German education system has overwhelmed schools. Classrooms have been transformed by an influx of foreign children, many who struggle to learn German. In an interview this year, principal Norma Grube described the issues she faces in her own two schools:

“Twenty-three different nations meet in the schoolyard, some of whom cannot understand each other at all and who sometimes come from hostile regions, such as Russia and Ukraine. We need a lot of parent-teacher talks, which mostly take place with interpreters. And that brings us to one of the reasons why the teaching profession has become less and less attractive: The psychological stress is enormous and it has increased significantly.”

In some schools, there is not a single ethnic German student left.

“There were classes at my school in which not a single child of German origin sat,” said Berlin Education Minister Katharina Günther-Wünsch (CDU). Her solution is now to bring in foreign instructors and not necessarily focus on German as the language of instruction.

She also commented directly on the latest study, writing, “The coronavirus pandemic and an increasingly heterogeneous student body are presenting teachers with ever greater challenges.”

However, such a strategy is unlikely to boost the reading scores of German students, increase integration, or solve Germany’s education system’s time bomb. Approximately 38 percent of all students in Germany are made up of foreign-born children or the children of foreigners. In major cities such as Hamburg, children of German origin are already a minority.

Germany in the middle of the pack

The IGLU results show that Germany features an average of 524 points, which places it in the middle of the international study compared to countries in Europe and the OECD. At the top of the list is Singapore, which in the past was behind Germany.

The share of high-performing students is also dropping, which shows that this category of student has dropped from 11.1 percent in 2016 to 8.6 percent in 2022.

“Compared to the start of the IGLU study in 2001, the average reading competence in Germany has fallen significantly and the spread of performance has increased at the same time,” said study leader Nele McElvany who works for the Institute for School Development Research at the TU Dortmund, according to a report from German newspaper Welt.

According to McElvany, the children of privileged families have a notable advantage. In addition, the difference between children who are native-level speakers and those who learned a different native language is more pronounced in Germany than in other countries.

“The substantial social or migration-related disparities in Germany have not been reduced since 2001,” says McElvany. “With regard to educational equity and equal opportunities, practically nothing has changed in Germany for 20 years.”

Diversity vs. homogeneity

Ethnically homogenous countries tended to perform better in the IGLU study, including Finland, Italy and Slovenia. The same holds true in Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland and the Czech Republic, all of which topped Germany.

More diverse countries tended to perform more poorly. France and Belgium, for instance, ranked below Germany. Spain, however, also performed below Germany along with South Africa, which has developed its own disastrous social and political system. Only a few countries outside of North America and Europe are measured, while South America, Africa and Asia are mostly absent from the rankings.

While the coronavirus pandemic undoubtedly affected students, many students in other European countries were also exposed to harsh school closures. Germany still stands out in terms of its dropping performance.

Economic consequences for Germany

The authors of the study are sounding the alarm for Germany, writing that elementary school students will have “considerable difficulties in almost all school subjects” if they do not improve their capabilities.

Free Democrat (FDP) Education Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger took to Twitter to write that being able to read well is “one of the most important basic skills and the foundation for educational success.”

She claimed that a “turnaround in education policy” was urgently needed.

In the meantime, her party, the FDP, has proposed that up to 500,000 migrants be brought into Germany every year. The current estimated costs of Germany’s immigration crisis just for 2023 will top €36 billion, according to the federal government.
