France: Islamic healer convicted of illegal practice of healing; reciting suras from the Koran was part of his remedies

Symbolic image

The therapist, who practised Roqya and Hijama, established in the town centre of Thann, was sentenced to one year suspended prison and a fine of €5 000 for the illegal practice of medicine and nursing. Reciting suras from the Quran, honey, olive oil and Quranised water were his remedies.

Roqya is a Quranic practice with therapeutic aims, based among other things on prayer and ablutions with Quranised water. Hijama is a kind of “add-on” option that involves “dry” or “wet” methods of cupping, i.e. with incisions to cause bleeding.

The 46-year-old Thann resident practised both of these practices at a surgery in Thann town centre. An anonymous letter sent to the prosecutor in January 2022 asks the police to look into these activities. (…) L’Alsace

WATCH: Lunatic Person of Color™ Claims Africans ‘Invented Almost Everything’

Image via Twitter

A lady in some ridiculous-looking ethnic getup probably has a master’s degree in women’s and gender studies or something like it, and look at the mush it’s made of her brain.

A lifetime’s worth of Black History Month propaganda in public school probably didn’t help her sort fact from fiction either.

“Toilets, sanitary [sic], Everything comes from Africa: the chair, the traffic light, the car, the computer. What is it we haven’t created?” the obviously British woman who apparently considers herself African asked rhetorically.

Of course, contradicting this obvious nonsense should be unnecessary. But here it is:

Evidence of who “invented” the chair is hard to come by. Out of generosity of spirit, she can have that one, though.

True greatness. All hail the African continent, progenitor of the great technological innovation we today call the “chair.”

So typical: Pakistani propaganda handles celebrate Women’s Day by glorifying female terrorists locked in Indian jails

Women terrorists booked for anti-India activities were glorified and painted and victims on Twitter by Pakistani handles (Image: File/Twitter/DND)

On March 8, Twitter handles originating from Pakistan ran anti-India propaganda on the sidelines of International Women’s Day. J&K Counter Disinformation Centre (JKCDC), an initiative to counter disinformation and propaganda on Kashmir, published a thread providing information on how disinformation was shared on the social media platform painting terrorist sympathisers and separatists as victims.

OpIndia checked the handles mentioned by JKCDC, and here is what we found. A Twitter handle WeResist2Exist, published a thread on Twitter claiming atrocities against women in Kashmir. The user primarily listed Asiya Andrabi, Sofi Fahmeeda, Nahida Nasreen, Hina Bashir, Naseema Akhter, Ishna Jan, Rakseem Akhter, Saima Akhter,  Tabasum Maqbool and Anjum Younis as “victims”. In reality, all of the women listed were booked by the agencies under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for their links to terrorists and terrorist organisations.

Asiya Andrabi

Asiya is one of the prominent names among the secessionist anti-India forces that have been active in the Kashmir valley for decades. She is the chief of the banned secessionist organisation Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), a pro-Pakistan separatist who has been dreaming for years of freeing Kashmir from India. Dukhtaran-e-Millat is Kashmir’s biggest network of ‘women jihadis’, as claimed by Andrabi herself.

She is alleged to be the backbone behind the stone-pelting apparatus in Kashmir. She supported Pakistani separatist Masarat Alam in the series of stone-pelting rallies across Kashmir using her village network of Dukhtaran-e-Millat operatives. She has several cases against her for instigating terror in the valley.

In addition to instigating terror in the valley, Asiya Andrabi’s anti-national activities include hoisting the Pakistani flag and singing Pakistan’s national anthem at an event in Srinagar. In 2015, the burqa-clad Asiya Andrabi was linked with the Islamic terrorist group ISIS as three youths arrested by Hyderabad Police suspected of joining the Islamic State (ISIS) had made shocking disclosures that they had sought help from her. In 2018, she was again found celebrating Pakistani National Day and giving provocative statements in Kashmir. The National Investigation Agency booked her under UAPA.

Sofi Fameeda and Nahida Nasreen

Sofi Fameeda is personal secretary of Andrabi. Nahida is general secretary of DeM. They were booked along with Andrabi for propagating anti-national activities using social and other media platforms. They were involved in inciting the Kashmiri youth to pick up arms and rebel against India.

Hina Bashir

Hina Bashir is one of the five accused booked by the NIA in September 2020 for their association with the banned terrorist organisation Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), an affiliate of the terrorist organisation ISIS. They were charged with conspiring to generate disaffection against the Government, promoting enmity among different religious communities, and carrying out subversive activities.

Hina and others were plotting to leverage anti-CAA protests to stoke Muslims against the Indian Government by devising new seditious slogans and making graffiti in public places. They had planned to highlight the same on social and international media.

They attempted to create an improvised IED and were scheming to carry out widespread killings in crowded places to propagate the activities and ideology of ISIS/ISKP in India. The investigation agency found they were planning to procure a potent chemical, Triacetone triperoxide (TATP), for the purpose. The chemical is called the ‘Mother of Death’ by Islamic State terrorists.

Naseema Akhter

The Jammu and Kashmir Police booked Naseema Akhtar under UAPA. She is the mother of terrorist Tauseef Sheikh, killed by the security forces in 2018. She was arrested for recruiting youth for terrorist organisations and arranging arms and ammunition, communication and logistics.

Ishna Jan

The security agencies arrested Ishna Jan in March 2020 for providing logistics and food to Adil Ahmed Dar, the notorious terrorist behind the Pulwama bombing. As per reports, the investigation agency NIA found that Jan provided logistics and food during the terrorists’ stay at the house that belonged to her father, Tariq Ahmed Shah, on at least 15 occasions for 2-4 days each time during 2018-19. She was in constant touch with Mohammed Umar Farooq, a terrorist from Pakistan who is an expert in making IEDs.

Raskeem Akhter

Raskeem Akhter is the sister of terrorist Sher Ali, who was accused of inciting youth to join terrorist organisations. She was involved in terrorist activities. As per Jammu and Kashmir Police, Akhter and her father, Mushtaq Ahmed, had received arms and ammunition, including three pistols, IED, and other ammunition. Multiple arrests were made when the police busted the terrorist module. They recovered pistols, grenades and one live IED during raids.

Saima Akhter

Saima Akhtar was a Jammu and Kashmir Special Police Officer. She was booked under UAPA and dismissed from the services in April 2021 for obstructing government officials from doing their job and glorifying terrorism. As per reports, the security forces were conducting search operations to hunt terrorists in Karewa Mohalla of Forsal when she resisted the search party and turned violent. She uttered statements glorifying terrorists.

Tabasum Maqbool and Anjum Younis

The security forces arrested Tabasum Maqbool and Anjum Younis in April 2021 for their involvement in an attack on Bharatiya Janata Party leader Anwar Khan’s house.

A similar thread was made by another Twitter user, rovvmutt, glorifying the women terrorists and painting them as victims on the sidelines of International Women’s Day.

Twitter thread glorifying terrorists. Source: Twitter

Pakistani news portal The Verified shared a video of Mushaal Hussein Mullick claiming women were facing atrocities in Kashmir. They used the acronym “IIOJK” or “Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir). IIOJK is a propaganda term used by Pakistan and its media when discussing Kashmir in India. Mullick is the Pakistani wife of terrorist-turned-separatist leader Yasin Malik who was convicted of funding terrorism and currently serving life imprisonment. Malik himself admitted in an interview with BBC to killing Kashmiri Hindu Justice Nilkanth Ganjoo and others. He had also been involved in a terrorist attack on Indian Air Force personnel.

Multiple handles, either originating from Pakistan or funded by Pakistan, shared anti-India posters claiming women are suffering atrocities at the hands of the Indian Government and security forces.

Since terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is funded by Pakistan, the names read like a Pakistani version of ‘Best Employee’ award on Women’s Day.

The Catholic Church’s LGBTQ Odyssey – Welcome to the full-fledged freefall

As it confronts perhaps the ultimate challenge to its credibility, the Catholic Church finds itself in full-fledged freefall.

Two American bishops publicly and strongly disagree about whether LGBTQ Catholics need to repent of their sexual behavior. One, the recently appointed cardinal of San Diego, argued for what he called “radical inclusion” without repentance. Another, a specialist in canon law, did more than disagree vigorously. He called his fellow prelate a heretic who should be relieved of his position.

Meanwhile, as his church burns, Pope Francis imitates that great Roman violinist, Nero.

San Diego Cardinal Robert McElroy, whom Francis promoted in August, called for “radical inclusion” of LGBTQ Catholics and removing “structures and cultures of exclusion” in a Jan. 24 article for America, the Jesuit magazine. Those “structures” include a doctrine demanding that anyone engaging in sexual sin becomes ineligible to receive Communion, which Catholics call the Eucharist, “without previous sacramental confession,” canon law states.

“The exclusion of men and women because of their marital status or their sexual orientation/activity is pre-eminently a pastoral question, not a doctrinal one,” wrote McElroy, who criticized “a theology of eucharistic coherence that multiplies barriers to the grace and gift of the eucharist. Unworthiness cannot be the prism of accompaniment for disciples of the God of grace and mercy.” (Emphasis in original)

For McElroy, neither repentance nor sexual behavior matter.

“The distinction between orientation and activity cannot be the principal focus,” he wrote, “because it inevitably suggests dividing the LBGT community into those who refrain from sexual activity and those who do not.”

In disregarding repentance for sexual sin, McElroy went even further.

“The effect of the tradition that all sexual acts outside of marriage constitute objectively grave sin has been to focus the Christian moral life disproportionately upon sexual activity,” he wrote. “The heart of Christian discipleship is a relationship with God the Father, Son and Spirit rooted in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church has a hierarchy of truths that flow from this…Sexual activity, while profound, does not lie at the heart of this hierarchy.”

McElroy, in perhaps his most passionate rhetoric, apparently views anything other than blind acceptance as hate.

“It is a demonic mystery of the human soul why so many men and women have a profound and visceral animus toward members of the LGBT communities,” he wrote. “The church’s primary witness in the face of this bigotry must be one of embrace rather than distance or condemnation.”

Compare McElroy’s views with the Catholic catechism:

“Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that ‘homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.’ They are contrary to the natural law. … Under no circumstances can they be approved.”

In the Bible, Leviticus listed homosexuality among other sexual behaviors considered “detestable.” Jesus defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Paul, a former Pharisee, described homosexual acts as “shameful” and practicing homosexuals as unable to “inherit the Kingdom of God.”

Bishop Thomas Paprocki of Springfield, Ill. quoted the catechism in his rebuttal to McElroy, which appeared Feb. 28 in First Things magazine. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops recently elected Paprocki as chairman of its Committee on Canonical Affairs and Church Governance.

” … it is contrary to a ‘truth which is to be believed by divine and Catholic faith’ to reject or condemn ‘a theology of eucharistic coherence that multiplies barriers to the grace and gift of the eucharist,’ as if no such barriers existed,” Paprocki wrote in quoting McElroy’s article. “They do exist, and they are a matter of divine revelation.”

Paprocki also quoted several sections of canon law in asserting that “a cardinal of the Catholic Church, like any other Catholic who denies settled Catholic teaching, embraces heresy, the result of which is automatic excommunication from the Catholic Church,” he wrote.

Promoting heresy, Paprocki continued, would result in a cleric losing any offices, powers and privileges, and could even mean being defrocked if the problem is serious or long-standing. But Paprocki added a pivotal stipulation.

“Only the pope can remove a cardinal from office or dismiss him from the clerical state in the case of heresy or other grave crimes,” he wrote. “If he does not do so, the unseemly prospect arises of a cardinal, excommunicated … due to heresy, voting in a papal conclave.”

So what will Francis do? Probably nothing, which reflects his passive strategy to promote the LGBTQ agenda.

As FrontPage Magazine reported in December, Francis uses his rhetoric to defend historic teaching. He even called gender theory “ideological colonization” and supported the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s decision in 2021 not to allow German bishops to bless same-sex unions.

But the pope’s actions reveal apathy toward, if not support for, homosexual behavior and activism.

As FrontPage Magazine reported in the same article, Francis’ appointments reflect his attitude. One is Cardinal Vincenzo Paglia, president of the Pontifical Academy for Life and the former president of the Pontifical Council on the Family. Before coming to Rome, Paglia commissioned and personally supervised work on a homoerotic painting for his cathedral. That painting featured a scene showing the semi-nude archbishop embracing a semi-nude male.

As president of the now-defunct Pontifical Council for the Family, Paglia in 2016 approved a sex-education program for teens that a Catholic psychiatrist called “the most dangerous threat to Catholic youth that I have seen over the past 40 years.”

Another appointment is the Rev. James Martin, America’s editor-at-large who serves as a communications advisor. Martin regularly uses his speaking engagements and media platforms to promote the LGBTQ agenda. For example, Martin told a gay man at Villanova University in 2017, “I hope in 10 years you will be able to kiss your partner (in church) or, you know, soon to be your husband. Why not? What’s the terrible thing?”

Two years later, Martin admitted on Twitter that the Bible “clearly condemns” homosexual sex. “The issue,” he continued, “is precisely whether the biblical judgement is correct.”

In 2021, Martin tweeted opposition to a pastoral letter condemning gender ideology from Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington, Va. In February 2022, Martin likewise responded to a legal opinion from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who stated that prescribing hormone blockers and sex-change surgeries for children constituted child abuse under state law. That March, Martin opposed a proposed Idaho law banning similar procedures on children.

Not only has Francis yet to discipline Martin. The pope invited him to the Vatican in November to discuss “the joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties, of LGBTQ Catholics,” Martin tweeted. The time was “indeed punctuated with smiles and laughter, and after which I indeed felt elated,” he added.

So Francis’ subtle sabotage benefits McElroy, one of his most important allies. As FrontPage Magazine also reported, McElroy stated in a voting guide for California’s 2020 primary that the pope’s positions on immigration and the environment mattered more than the church’s historic opposition to abortion and contraception.

Two-and-a-half years later, Francis made McElroy a cardinal.

The crisis holds serious implications beyond theology. As FrontPage Magazine’s Christine Williams reported, a student at a Catholic high school in Canada was suspended for insisting that only two sexes exist. That student, Josh Alexander, led a student walkout in November to support girls who opposed having transgender boys use their restrooms. Alexander and the girls tried to convince Principal Derek Lennox to intervene but Lennox did nothing.

St. Joseph’s Catholic High School suspended Alexander after the walkout. When Alexander tried to return once his suspension ended, the school had him arrested for trespassing.

Alexander, who calls himself a “born-again Christian,” tried to get support from a local priest, who refused to talk with him.

“I’m kind of shocked at how little response there has been from the church,” Alexander said on a podcast. “I even phoned one of the local churches the other day, and the pastor just told me he didn’t want to speak to me. I can’t imagine a leader of a church telling a 16-year-old kid he wouldn’t even have a discussion with him.”

But another priest reached the breaking point when Francis publicly advocated ending anti-sodomy laws in interviews surrounding his February trip to Africa, and called upon bishops to lead that effort.

“It struck me that a lot of the Holy Father’s public comments revolve around this issue of homosexuality, as though that were the centerpiece of his ministry,” the Rev. Jason Charron said on video Feb. 8. “You don’t hear a whole lot of comments coming from him calling for the defense of persecuted Christians in, oh, I don’t know, places like China?”

Charron ended by posing a provocative question:

“Who do you belong to, Francis? Do you belong to Christ or do you belong to Sodom?”

Anti-Farmer Great Reset Push Causes Political Chaos in Belgium

Green great reset policies aimed at cutting nitrogen pollution in Flanders have thrown the region’s coalition government into chaos, as politicians worry about the impact the measures will have on farmers.

Flanders — the northern, Dutch-speaking region residing within the Belgian state — has seen its ruling coalition government thrown into turmoil, after one of the three parties ruling the region opted to resist the implementation of green agenda changes aimed at curbing nitrogen pollution in farming.

The changes have largely been sparked by a green agenda push at the level of the European Union, with the bloc forcing both regional and national governments across the continent into implementing measures restricting the use of nitrogen-based fertilisers that will likely put many farmers out of business.

Farmers in Flanders are no exception to this, with many now extremely concerned about the new measures which will see the country’s pig heard cut by 30 per cent by 2030, with some businesses even set to be ordered to close by the country’s government.

With farmers staging a massive protest in the Belgian capital of Brussels over the green agenda changes earlier this month, the ruling Flemish Christian Democrat Party (CD&V) have seemingly had enough, walking out of government discussions over plans to curb Nitrogen pollution in the region, leaving their fellow coalition members, the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) and the Open Flemish Liberals and Democrats (Open Vld) to continue the green agenda push on their own.

Both parties will likely struggle to get anything done however, as not only do they not have enough votes in parliament to get any deal on curbing nitrogen signed into law, but without the CD&V, the government may not even be allowed to rule the region at all, seemingly not meeting the minimum legal requirements to operate a government under Belgian law.

The chaos is likely a welcome sight for many of Flanders’ farmers, whose livelihoods hang in the balance should the EU’s green agenda end up being successfully implemented in the region.

It may also be seen as a victory for the political power of farming protests in Europe, with those in the region’s agricultural sector staging a massive tractor protest in the EU capital of Brussels earlier this month.

The demonstration saw around 2,700 tractors and other farm vehicles hit the streets of the Belgian capital city, with farmers seemingly hoping that the show of force would be enough to make their regional government rethink their support for the EU’s green projects.

While such a protest appears to have worked for now, farmers in other parts of Europe have not been so lucky, with those working in the Netherlands seemingly finding themselves in particular danger as a result of the EU’s war on nitrogen.

Despite staging multiple massive protests in the country, many of which saw highways completely blocked by farm machinery and refuse, the Dutch government has continued to push its environmentalist aims, forcing many farms in the country to shut.

“Our government destroys lives,” pundit Eva Vlaardingerbroek explained, detailing the story of one dairy farm that has been ordered to shut down as the government deemed it a “peak polluter”.

First they came for the Jews, now it is the nuns…

screen grab notredamedenantes.com

by Giulio Meotti

Marie-Anne Leroux, 56, and Agathe Dutrey, 46, are two nuns belonging to the Fraternité Bénédictine. For years they have served the Catholic community in the center of Nantes, the city of the Dukes of Brittany. Now they announce that they have left the city due to insecurity. They worked in the parish of Notre-Dame. “While I was teaching in church, we had to ask the congregation to turn away a person who had come in drunk, this is the sadness of our daily reality.”

Due to unchecked mass immigration sponsored by the oligarchs who dominate decadent Western regimes, large swathes of Europe are becoming off limits.

I’ve always thought that focusing on a single city helps to better understand that there is a “before and after” in Europe.

In October, the parish priest of Notre-Dame de Nantes, Loïc Le Huen, denounced: “The situation has worsened dramatically. There are those who physically and verbally threaten parishioners and visitors, even spitting on nuns. People stealing candles, pouring wax on the floor, defecating in the confessionals. Previously, adoration took place every Thursday from 19:30 to 23, but since last year it ends at 22 because the faithful want to go home. The insecurity is such that going home late at night becomes complicated”.

But first were the Jews (Europe notoriously does not worry if they cannot wear the symbols of their faith). The 160 families that make up the Jewish community of Nantes have been taking precautions for a long time. “In Nantes, members of the community are not used to leaving the house with a kippah” reveals René Gambin, president of the Jewish community. “In addition, repeatedly they are asked to be careful. To check when the doorbell rings. A series of little things that clutter up everyday life. On the street, I pay attention to who’s behind me. Yes, it’s completely crazy!”. It has been defined as “the excruciating restlessness of the Jews of Nantes”.

The news of two Catholic nuns who had to leave the center of Nantes after years of assaults is just another indication of how crazy the situation is in this peaceful former provincial city of 300,000.

The nuns’ letter is an epitaph to decades of misguided migration policies:

“The escalation of violence we are witnessing will not subside with a stronger law enforcement presence. These can mitigate certain effects, but let no one be deceived: those who create this climate of insecurity have not changed their behavior with the arrival of the police. For us, over time, it has become too tiring. When we are in the church of Sainte-Croix, we are always alert, always ready to react to any lack of respect for the place, the people or the celebration taking place there. During the day, sometimes we have to intervene in church for situations of violence. This constant state of alert prevents us from living prayer as it is lived in our Benedictine vocation. We’re not meant to be security guards, even if we’ve had some ‘self-defense’ lessons.”

As a councilor of the centre-right opposition told the weekly Valeurs Actuelles in an article published in September with the title “Nantes, a lost territory of the Republic”, uncontrolled immigration weighed on the city, with a growing number of “unregulated minors accompanied”, of illegal immigrants who claim to be under 18, along with an unusual concentration of radical left organizations, some of them with violent activists who have been tolerated or sometimes even encouraged by the authorities.

The mayor of Nantes, Johanna Rolland, was first elected in 2014 and is also the first deputy secretary of the Socialist Party. Her majority in the city council is made up of a coalition of the Socialist Party, Communist Party, Greens and other small left-wing parties. With a pro-immigration mayor and city council and the presence of many left-wing NGOs in the city, including some active in welcoming illegal immigrants, Nantes is one of the nine founding members of the so-called “National Association of Welcoming Cities and Territories”, which it joined in 2015, and among the top three French cities, after Paris and Calais, in terms of overall number of illegal immigrants. The city of Nantes and the Loire-Atlantique department, of which it is the capital, are also among those leftist and pro-immigration governments that have donated large sums of money to the NGO SOS Méditerranée for the operation of its ship Ocean Viking which transports illegal migrants across the Mediterranean.

Marc Eynaud, author of Qui en veut aux catholiques?, tells Le Figaro that an anti-Christian tide is underway: “Only in the last three weeks, in mid-February, a decapitated statue of the Virgin in Choisy-Le-Roi, a desecrated church in Orly, an Islamist arrested for threatening a Parisian priest with death, the desecration of a church in the Lyon region, two fires in a church in Ligueuil and three fires in the church of Saint-Roch in Chanteloup-Les-Vignes. On March 3, we learned of the desecration of the church of Saint-Eustache in Paris. This is just what the press reported in recent days and it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Insecurity has alienated a monastic community from a city. Desecrations force churches to be left closed. Health crises deprive the faithful of the sacraments. Dozens of churches burn down every year.”

“I know very well the city where I was born and where I started as a journalist” says Ivan Rioufol of Le Figaro. “When I left Nantes in 1984, it was tranquility itself, even in the most popular districts. Immigrants were a minority. Today Nantes has become Lebanese”. The city is home to the fourth largest mosque in France, with 2,500 worshippers.

Five years ago, the Basilica of Saint-Nicolas in Nantes was almost destroyed by fire. It had completed a refurbishment and was in perfect condition. “The Malakoff mosque has 1,200 seats and erected a 17-metre minaret,” writes Rioufol. “To this ‘cathedral mosque’ are added four other mosques, not to mention the neighboring ones. This influence of Islam has accompanied the new settlement of working-class neighborhoods, under the encouragement of the socialists”. Today there are ten mosques in Nantes. In Nantes the old Church of Saint Christopher has become a mosque. “In 1984, my last article for Presse-Océan was dedicated to the small and unique mosque in the Malakoff district, installed in the place of the ancient church of San Cristoforo” says Ivan Rioufol. “Since then, this modest building has given way to the Arrahma Mosque.” L’Express published a report on the Jesuit church: it is now a furniture salon.

Who decided on the “strange death of Europe” as Douglas Murray called it?

Have we Europeans been consulted?

And where is the resistance? Do we even know how it will end? Bad.

But now at least the streets of Nantes will no longer be troubled by those two nuns and civilization can self-destruct in peace.

Viennese IS terrorist defends himself: “We just wanted to eat cake” while singing about cutting off the heads of infidels

Vienna Regional Court for Criminal Matters, Dnalor 01, CC-BY-SA-3.0-AT

An IS terrorist (20) came up with a really original excuse when he had to answer for terrorist organisation at the Vienna Regional Court. He only wanted to eat cake with his Muslim friends for Eid – the breaking of the fast after Ramadan. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison.

An IS terrorist (20) had to stand trial today at the Vienna Regional Criminal Court on charges of terrorist association. The teenager, who was aged 17 at the time, had been involved with the radical Islamist terrorist militia “Islamic State” in 2019. He shared a total of 22 chats with radical Islamist content in various WhatsApp groups. He also exchanged information with people who had direct contact with the later assassin of Vienna, who killed four people in the city centre of Vienna on November 2, 2020.

In addition, the accused held a meeting with like-minded people in his parents’ flat in the Leopoldstadt district of Vienna. There they listened to and sang songs about cutting off the heads of unbelievers.

“We like to listen to music” – The lyrics were about cutting off the heads of unbelievers

All not so draconian, according to the accused. In reality, everything is said to have been quite harmless. He had merely met with friends for the so-called Eid, the breaking of the fast Eid al-Fitr after the month of Ramadan. “The intention was to eat cake and tiramisu,” the man said in his defence.

Regarding the radical Islamist songs, he said: “We just listened to it because we like to listen to music. He denied that he had taken an oath of allegiance to the IS in the course of the feast.

Both parties accepted the sentence

He was not convicted of that either. In the end, the man, who has since turned away from the IS due to his own research, got away with 15 months in prison. The threat of punishment was five years. He would have served 18 months, but three of them were waived due to the long duration of the proceedings. Both the prosecution and the defendant accepted the sentence.
