France: Three female candidates from Egalité Europe Ecologie, a party that supports Emmanuel Macron, present photos of candidates that have nothing to do with those on their leaflets for the parliamentary elections in June

On this occasion, the Égalité Europe Ecologie party, which describes itself as close to the “presidential majority”, is running three candidates for these constituencies: Juliette de Causans for the 8th constituency (Cyprus, Greece, Israel, Italy, Malta, San Marino, Turkey, Palestinian Territories, Vatican); Tatiana Boteva Malo for the 2nd constituency (Latin America and Caribbean) and Samira Herbal for the 9th constituency (Maghreb and West Africa). On the website for this election, the party shows the posters and statements of the smiling candidates.

Jean-Christophe Ménard, a lawyer specialising in electoral law, confirmed in an interview with Checknews that “neither electoral law nor case law prohibit candidates from using a photo of their face that has been retouched or Photoshopped. Such a ban would not only interfere with the candidates’ freedom of expression, but would also be difficult to implement, as it would mean determining the degree of retouching at which a photo no longer corresponds to reality and becomes misleading towards voters. ‘Macron has taken the Republic hostage’ – As France descends into chaos, Marine Le Pen vows to lower French pension age if she becomes president

As France descends into deep turmoil over French President Emmanuel Macron’s decree to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 without a vote in parliament, French leader of the opposition National Rally party, Marine Le Pen, is promising a just pension reform if elected president.

She says that her version of pension reform will offer an equitable pension, unlike the one envisaged by Macron, which will bring justice to workers.

“I would now remind the French that in order to obtain a reform of pensions in the other direction, we must vote the next time around. Because, as far as I’m concerned, when I say he (Macron) has taken the Republic hostage, I want to implement my pension reform that will allow the French to retire at 60 after 40 to 42 years of work if they started before age 20, and at the age of 62 at a maximum. Now, that would be a just pension reform,” said Le Pen during an interview with LCP.

Macron used Article 49.3 of the constitution to bypass parliament and ram through his pension reform, which is rejected by over 70 percent of the French public. The French president reportedly decided on the authoritarian move after learning he likely did not have enough votes to pass his bill. Macron, who faced a no-confidence vote yesterday, won by only nine votes, putting his government in a precarious position.

Scenes of violence have followed on the streets of France, as police beat protesters and deployed tear gas. Protests have also been banned across Paris in a sign of France’s backsliding into authoritarian rule.

Every single member of Le Pen’s party voted to remove Macron from power, and political analysts say Le Pen is in the best position of her political career due to her adamant opposition to Macron’s pension reform.

Answering a question from reporters, Le Pen said she will bring a motion to censure the current government.

“Of course… We must censure this government. We will not only submit a censure motion, but we will also vote on all of the censure motions that will be submitted, and there will be relatively many,” Le Pen said.

MEP Warns: ‘Germany is Well on Its Way to Becoming the Lebanon of Central Europe’ (Video)

German lawyer and a member of the European Parliament for AfD (Alternative für Deutschland) Gunnar Beck, discussed the financial crisis, Covid crisis, the so-called “climate crisis,” and the migration crisis, which have combined to destroy the prosperity and culture of Germany.

The conservative politician warns that “over 50 years ago, Lebanon was the pearl of the Middle East. Then that country took in millions of unqualified refugees; inflation rose, and the per capita gross domestic product today is lower than in 1970. Germany is well on its way to becoming the Lebanon of Central Europe.”

Austria: Terrorist attacks by IS supporters in Vienna and St. Pölten thwarted -They wanted to highlight the unjust treatment of their Muslim brothers and sisters in Syria and Palestine

Twelve graffiti with IS slogans were found in St. Pölten, now the police have caught the graffiti artist. He is a North Macedonian (19) with contacts to a group that is said to have plotted terrorist attacks in Vienna and St. Pölten.

Two eyewitnesses made the police trace the initially unknown person who had sprayed twelve graffiti with clear messages of the terrorist organisation “Islamic State” in the area of the main railway station of St. Pölten on March 15 – eXXpress reported. With the support of the Rapid Response Forces (SRK), the police arrested an unemployed Macedonian (19). He is accused of supporting a terrorist organisation and damaging property.

More explosive, however, is that the case has been taken over by the Directorate of State Protection and Intelligence (DSN). The questioning of further witnesses strengthened the suspicion that the Macedonian is connected to planned terrorist attacks in Vienna. Attacks in St. Pölten are also said to have been considered by an IS sympathiser group.

Due to extensive investigations by the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter-Terrorism (LVT), an urgent suspicion arose against the North Macedonian.

The public prosecutor’s office in St. Pölten ordered the arrest of the accused and a search of his flat. He initially denied any involvement in the crime, but finally confessed in full due to the high pressure of the investigation and the seizure of further evidence during the house search. As a motive, he stated that he only wanted to point out the unjust treatment of his Muslim brothers and sisters in Syria and Palestine.

As Macron goes full dictator, will the EU condemn France’s slide from democracy? Don’t count on it

After French President Emmanuel Macron’s surprise move to ram through his unpopular pension reform scheme without a single vote, the move will have long-lasting implications for France and its entire system of democracy. It also raises the question: How will the EU react to this in-your-face authoritarian move?

Both the optics and the practical reality of Macron’s decision to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 by decree are disastrous, and they represent not just a loss of legitimacy for Macron but likely also for Brussels. Macron, however, knows the EU will make no move to condemn his country, slap him with sanctions, or call out the “democratic deficit” in France despite his naked display of power. In fact, the EU’s technocratic elites are privately cheering on pension reform, a move they have enforced in a wide array of southern countries in exchange for bailouts in the past.

It is also true that Macron technically has the power, according to the constitution, to bypass parliament, but it ultimately raises questions about whether France can even be called a democracy to begin with, especially when it relates to an agenda that the French public are passionately opposed to.

In fact, the polling around the issue makes Macron’s move all the more shocking.

Between 72 percent and 75 percent of the country was opposed to pension reform. Not only that, the French clearly want more, not less, democratic input when it comes to pension reform, with 75 percent saying they want a referendum on the issue. A whopping 78 percent are against Macron using Article 49.3 of the constitution to unilaterally push through pension reform.

However, much like mass immigration, which France has more of than ever before, the French are getting exactly what they do not want, all thanks to “democracy.”

The public backlash to Macron has been palpable, with hundreds if not thousands of arrests already made across the country following his dictatorial decree. Unions are promising to ramp up protests, gas stations are already running short of fuel, and Macron may soon face what is perhaps the worst crisis of his reign, including a new wave of “Yellow Vest” protests.

This brings us to Viktor Orbán. His country, Hungary, is currently facing rule-of-law sanctions from the EU worth billions over so-called democratic deficits and backsliding, yet he remains immensely popular in his country. His approval is still hovering over 50 percent, while Macron lingers at 26 percent. Borderline psychotic partisan politicians like German Green MEP Daniel Freund, who shows an unhealthy obsession with Orbán with non-stop posts about Hungary on Twitter, has not made a single peep about Macron, instead continuing to focus his ire on Orbán, despite “democracy.”

He is emblematic of the entire EU establishment.

Nothing will change with the EU’s stance toward France because it is not about morality, and it is not about democracy — it is about power. It is about punishing your enemies and rewarding your friends. Macron is a friend of the liberal establishment that runs Brussels, and behind these power brokers are billions of euros, NGOs, and a media empire backing more power for Brussels and mass immigration. Macron is on board with that agenda, and Orbán is not.

Much like the EU’s claims about corruption in Hungary, also a factor in the Brussels commitment to sanctions, the EU cannot look at itself in the mirror.

The black-and-white reality of police violence and anti-democratic measures in France may be staring all of Europe in the face. The people of Hungary are not facing police batons after protesting a massively unpopular authoritarian decree from their leader, and Hungary’s working-class are not facing tear gas, protest bans, and other forms of repression. Again, none of this matters. What matters is power, and those opposed to the likes of Macron would be well advised to learn this lesson. Prayers, “doing the right thing,” and morals are for you, while winning is their only agenda.

The EU will continue to masquerade as a democratic institution and use “democracy” as a buzzword because this word has power and helps the EU pursue its agenda of centralization and ridding itself of dissent. The EU is full of little Macrons, after all — a technocratic elite that are privately disdainful of “democracy” but know they can say this word, along with words like “racism” and “disinformation,” to get the midwits on board with their agenda.

As critics have pointed out for years, the EU itself lacks any real democracy, with both the European Council and European Commission, the two real power centers in Brussels, not having a single elected member among their ranks. As for the European Parliament, voter participation in parliamentary elections across Europe was 50.6 percent in 2019, far lower than almost all European national elections.

In a fully centralized EU, raising the retirement age all at once would in theory be far easier, with a decree from Brussels rubber stamped by the European Parliament. That applies to a whole host of issues, including immigration, defense, and green energy. These Brussels-based Macrons would have more power than ever before.

The goal for those opposed to Brussels and the likes of Macron now is to put this hypocrisy on full display. It is true that conservatives, libertarians and even the anti-establishment left tend to mock their own reliance on pointing out hypocrisy, arguing it is a sign of powerlessness, but it does, at the same time, resonate with people. And let’s face it, this is often the only option left.

The protests seen in France are trending across Twitter, and questions are being asked about why the EU is allowing this authoritarianism from a founding member state. Macron has survived a no-confidence vote by a mere nine votes. There are also rumors that his ally, Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne, may resign due to the vote being far closer than was originally predicted.

Regardless of the outcome of Macron’s political career, he and his backers in Brussels, along with the “democracy” they endlessly prattle on, are engaged in an all out war “the people.” it is now a question who wins in the end. With the EU looking to implement a massive censorship regime across social media, once again, they are playing to win.

India: Hindu women forced to wear Hijab, by event management companies during events

Image- Samvaad Kannada channel

A controversy has erupted in the state of Karnataka after a few event management companies in Tumkur forced Hindu women to wear hijab at functions hosted by the Muslim community. The management firms also forced the women to remove the kumkum on their forehead, which holds importance in Hinduism.

According to reports, the incident came to the fore after one of the event management companies posted the image of Hindu women wearing a Hijab online. The same was initially reported by a local media channel named Samvad Kannada. The video of the incident, however, went viral over social media after which a few Bajrang Dal activists raised the issue and protested against the local representatives and such event management companies.

The activists also informed the parents of the girls who are hired by these event companies in Tumkur. The parents said they didn’t know anything about this incident and would never allow their girls to wear hijabs and remove kumkum for extra earnings.

Bajrang Dal district coordinator Manju Bhargav said to The Organiser that the event companies deliberately target poor Hindu women who need money and offer them extra wages only if the latter agrees to wear hijab and remove kumkum. As per Bhargav, Hindu women are paid Rs 800 to Rs 1000 per day if they agree to wear hijab and wipe off kumkum, otherwise are offered Rs 300 to Rs 400 per day.

Several Hindu activists continue to protest as several event management companies continue to force Hindu women to wear hijabs. Hindu campaigners have spoken out in opposition to this, with many demanding that the practice be stopped right away. According to the activists, compelling Hindu women to wear the hijab is a step toward the Islamization of the nation.

British diplomats reported for wearing T-shirts with maps erasing Israel

UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) has reported British diplomats stationed in Jerusalem for potential breaches of the Diplomatic Service Code, after they sported T-shirts featuring a map of “Palestine” extending from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, effectively wiping out Israel.

The diplomats wore the jerseys during the March 10 “Palestine Marathon,” which was hosted by top Fatah official Jibril Rajoub, who has a long history of support for terrorism and comparing Israelis with Nazis.

UKLFI reported the officials to the Consular Directorate of U.K.’s Foreign Office last week and requested they be reprimanded.

According to the organization, Clause 13 of the British Diplomatic Service Code states: “You must not: act in a way that unjustifiably favors or discriminates against particular individuals or interests.”

Clause 15 states: “You must not: allow your personal political views to determine any advice you give or your actions.”

We believe that the diplomatic representatives who were wearing the T-shirt were in breach of the Diplomatic Service Code given that they wore a logo deleting Israel and openly supported an event run by someone with a long history of support for terrorism and who apparently detests Jews and Zionists,” said Caroline Turner, chief executive of UKLFI.

The British government officially supports a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

UK: Christian Teacher Fired for Saying ‘Homosexuality is Invading the Church’ – Report

Aaron Edwards, @aaron_p_edwards, twitter

A Christian teacher has been fired from his post after claiming that “homosexuality is invading the church” on social media.

Father of five Dr Aaron Edwards was reportedly fired from his teaching position at a Methodist college in England after alleging that “homosexuality is invading the church” in a post he uploaded to social media.

Edwards is reportedly appealing the decision, arguing that the college’s position that he may have broken its social media policy does not take into account his right to freely express his religious beliefs.

According to a report by The Telegraph, the theology lecturer was eventually removed from his position at Cliff College in Derbyshire after a post criticising the increasing prominence of homosexuality within the faith went viral online.

This prompted the teaching institution to suspend the lecturer, with officials from the college even allegedly threatening to report him to UK counter-terror police over his views.

Edwards has since come out to insist that his views were not “homophobic” in nature, but instead merely an expression of a theological matter that he claims is fundamentally uncontroversial to conservatives within the church.

“Anyone concerned about academic freedom, Christian freedoms and free speech should be deeply concerned by what has happened to me,” the lecturer reportedly told The Telegraph.

The former lecturer is now one of the latest of many Christians persecuted in the UK as a result of them expressing their beliefs, with police in the country now regularly arresting and charging those deemed to be practising the religion in a way contrary to modern progressive ideologies.

For instance, one man was convicted of “harassment” for preaching against transgenderism on a street in England, with a court handing him a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work for his proselytising.

What’s more, his claim that a so-called “transwoman” was really a “man in woman’s clothing” even prompted authorities to refer him to the UK’s counter-terrorism police for fear he was an extremist.

Meanwhile, another Christian woman has now been arrested by police multiple times for standing silently in the vicinity of an abortion clinic in the country, with law enforcement officials arguing that she seemed to be praying silently in her head.

The UK’s Conservative Party has largely aided and abetted attempts to prevent even silent prayer outside such facilities, with the British parliament currently pushing through a bill that would outright ban such practices within a 150-meter radius.
