Scotland Leader: Muslim Contender Allegedly Skipped Gay Marriage Vote Under ‘Pressure’ from Mosque

Leftist Humza Yousaf, frontrunner to become Scotland’s new First Minister, allegedly caved to “pressure” from a mosque to skip a vote on same-sex marriage – but he has faced little scrutiny of his religious views compared to Christian rival Kate Forbes.

With Nicola Sturgeon stepping down as leader of the left-separatist Scottish National Party (SNP), which governs Scotland’s devolved government — roughly equivalent to a U.S. state government — alongside the Scottish Greens, other SNP MSPs are vying to fill her shoes as the country’s First Minister, with Humza Yousaf, a practising Muslim, and Kate Forbes, a practising Christian, leading the pack.

A pro-mass migration, anti-Brexit, and thoroughly “woke” party, despite its notional raison d’être as a civic nationalist party, the SNP establishment is already raking Forbes over the coals for admitting that she holds views which are socially conservative on, for example, abortionsame-sex marriage, and transgenderism, in line with her faith as a member of the Free Church of Scotland.

Indeed, the finance secretary is likely facing an internal investigation for saying “a trans woman is a biological male” — a possible breach of party rules against “transphobia”.

Yousaf, best known for championing Orwellian speech control laws and railing against the number of white people in influential positions in Scotland,which is 96 per cent white, according to the its 2011 census, had meanwhile faced little interrogation on such issues, despite Islam often being interpreted as taking a similarly dim view of such progressive shibboleths — until now.

While Yousaf has claimed that he would not “use my faith as a basis for legislation” — a contrast with Forbes, who has been open about the fact that she would have voted against gay marriage if she had been an MSP at the time the Scottish Parliament legalised it in 2014 — former SNP health secretary Alex Neil has claimed Yousaf, who was then a member of the SNP government, made arrangements to avoid the key vote due to “pressure” from his Glasgow mosque.

“I’ll tell you exactly what happened. As the minister in charge [of passing the gay marriage law], I got to know everything,” Neil told Times Radio.

“We had a free vote at stage three, which I think was the right thing to do,” he said.

“Any minister who wasn’t going to vote for the bill, or wanted to skip the vote, had to get permission from the first minister to do so.

“Basically, there was a request from Humza, because in his words ‘of pressure he was under from the mosque’, for him to be absent from the vote,” he alleged.

“Alex Salmond, as First Minister, gave him permission to do that. A ministerial meeting was arranged to take place at exactly the same time as the vote in Glasgow to give Humza cover for not being there.”

Neil added he did not believe Yousaf “was against the bill… because he wasn’t” and added that the Muslim MSP actually “voted at stage one” — but “because he voted at stage one, in his words he was ‘put under pressure by the leaders of the mosque in Glasgow about the possibility he might vote for it at stage three’.”

What Neil did say was that he believed Yousaf’s alleged double-dealing with respect to the bill’s passage suggested he was spineless.

“I think Kate Forbes has proved she has got backbone. I question whether Humza has the necessary backbone to take Scotland forward,” Neil said.

Neil was substantially more candid in an interview with the Scottish Daily Mail, telling the right-leaning tabloid: “[I]f he was so devoted to the principle of equal marriage why did he deliberately manoeuvre it so that he skipped the vote and wasn’t there and was dishonest about his reasons why? That’s not leadership, that’s absolute gutlessness quite frankly.”

Interestingly, Yousaf’s credentials with respect to social justice dogma, or at least the seeming double standards he and his Christian rival are being held to with respect to it, have begun to be flagged even by the likes of the Guardian.

“Some Forbes supporters have questioned whether the relentless probing of her religious views betrays misogyny or intolerance, noting that Yousaf – a practising Muslim – has not been similarly pursued on his faith,” the leftist newspaper observed in coverage of Forbes apologising for voicing her conservative views.

The Guardian also highlighted the fact that Yousaf has not been doing as especially good job in his current role as health secretary, with National Health Service (NHS) Scotland patients facing waiting times at accident and emergency (A&E) departments of up to 60 hours and the Covid recovery plan in shambles.

Yousaf, for his part, has denied that he purposefully arranged to miss the gay marriage vote, insisting that he had unavoidable government business to attend to meeting with the Pakistani consul over the fact that one Mohammed Ashgar, a man with British citizenship, has been sentenced to death for blasphemy in the Islamic country.

The Herald, however, reports that it has seen Yousaf’s ministerial diary and that the meeting with the consul was arranged before Ashgar had been sentenced, and was not a last-minute affair but set up weeks in advance of the gay marriage vote.

“He can deny it if he wants but he’s not being honest about this and he knows it,” Neil tweeted in response to Yousaf’s denial.

Burning the US flag is fine, but the rainbow one not

The US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) has held that the government cannot prohibit citizens from desecrating the American flag. Congress has repeatedly attempted to outlaw flag burning through legislation and constitutional amendments, without success. The rainbow flag is another matter altogether.

The court interpreted the First Amendment to apply to symbolic expressions such as burning flags, burning crosses, wearing armbands, and the like.

In Texas v. Johnson, the court ruled that the First Amendment protects burning the flag because the act falls within “expressive conduct”. When Gregory Johnson burned the flag to protest the policies of then-President Ronald Reagan, he was arrested for violating a Texas law.

In the 5-4 SCOTUS decision which struck down the law as unconstitutional, it stated: “If there is a bedrock principle underlying the First Amendment, it is that the government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable.”

This decision annulled national flag desecration laws that had existed in 48 states.

After the Johnson decision, Congress tried to criminalize flag burning through legislation, but the constitutionality of this law also came before the Supreme Court. In the United States v. Eichman case, it once again overturned this legislation.

Protecting the rainbow flag

The only flag that one cannot burn in the US, is the “Pride” flag. It’s not considered freedom of speech. A man was given a 15 year jail sentence in 2019because he had burned a rainbow flag.

LGTBQ supporters argue that he was found guilty because he had “stolen” the gay flag. But an American flag was stolen from a courthouse and burned in front of said courthouse and nothing happened in Portland July 2020.

Turkish journalists harassed, detained for reporting about the deadly earthquake, authorities investigate under draconian law

Days after a massive earthquake hit several parts of Turkey and Syria killing around 50,000 victims, Turkish journalists are being harassed and are being investigated for reporting and commenting on the disastrous earthquake. The Turkey authorities claim that the journalists misreported the incident and are investigating them on suspicion of spreading fake news.

According to the reports, the Turkish authorities are investigating the reporters based on the new law which was adopted by the country in October last year. The law made punishable the public propagation of misinformation and granted the state considerably larger powers to regulate news sites and social media. The Venice Commission, a Council of Europe legal monitor stated that the measure would restrict free speech while the parties in opposition referred to it as a ‘censorship law’.

The report by BBC state that there are around 4 journalists who are being investigated in the matter. However, Press freedom groups state that there are around 12+ journalists who reported about the incident and are now being detained, harassed or prevented from reporting.

One of the journalists named Mir Ali Koçer, on February 6 was smoking on his balcony in Diyarbakir city when suddenly his two dogs started barking. He recalled that the dogs had similarly barked during the 2020 earthquake. “Within no time”, he said, “I felt I was shaking. I felt the house shaking, I felt the TV shaking.” He then took the dogs and hid under the dining table. Later he happened to rush outside.

He carried his camera and microphone and drove to Gaziantep city which was the epicentre of the attack. He was horrified to see sights of carnage and people suffering in subfreezing temperatures in villages close to the earthquake’s epicentre. In Gaziantep, the earthquake claimed the lives of at least 3,000 people. “When holding the microphone, behind the camera or in front of the camera, I could not hold back my tears,” Koçer said.

During reporting about the earthquake, the freelance journalist talked to a few victims and recorded their ordeal. He then posted videos on social media in which the victims stated that they had not received proper aid. The saga continued for days to come when the victims kept on saying that they had received no aid for days.

Koçer claims that while he was reporting from the region damaged by the earthquake, Diyarbakir police placed a note at his residence, asking him to come to the police station and submit a statement.

He was informed at the station that he was under investigation for violating a recently passed misinformation statute. He claimed that after questioning him about his reporting from the epicentre of the earthquake, the authorities charged him with disseminating false information.

Koçer says that he was diligent in his investigation and spoke with everyone involved, including survivors, police, gendarmes, and rescue personnel. He asserts, “I did not release anything without careful investigation and evaluation.” Reporters Without Borders (RSF) meanwhile have urged the authorities to drop the ‘absurd’ investigation against journalists. 

A support group called the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) claims that at least three further journalists are being prosecuted. Turkish journalist Murat Yildiz said that the government had threatened his job and his safety. He said, “They were continually following us and harassing us.” According to Yildiz, some of the harassment has also been perpetrated by non-governmental organisations.

Uncertainty surrounds how many other journalists are being investigated. Police are said to have detained 134 people on Tuesday due to “provocative posts” and to have arrested 25, although their identities have not been made public. According to the police, some of those who were arrested may have been spreading untruths, such as the idea that Afghan refugees were scavenging in abandoned neighbourhoods.

Reportedly, the arrests followed a warning from Turkey’s presidential communications director against endangering the rescue attempts with “lethal disinformation.” In order to encourage individuals to report posts that spread false information about the earthquake, the directorate officially released a smartphone app named “Disinformation Reporting Service.”

COVID Immunization and Surveillance

The CDC, Medicare, and Medicaid have introduced ICD (International Classification of Diseases) “diagnosis codes” for being unvaccinated or partially vaccinated for COVID-19, and also for “other under-immunization status.” These new codes, designated ICD-10, quietly went into effect on April 1, 2022, and were broadly adopted nationwide by January 2023, but we are just learning about them now.

“Diagnosis” is a word to designate disease. Is being unvaccinated now considered a disease?  

Will medical and health services provided by insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid be affected by the patient’s vaccination status? 

This new move cannot be entirely for health reasons. Recent science shows that natural immunity is more robust than that conferred by vaccines. The reality of “breakthrough infections” demonstrates that a person’s vaccination status is not predictive of whether they will contract or spread the disease. If the tracking were for health reasons alone, they would exclude those who are covid-recovered and have natural immunity. 

Even more disturbing, why do the new codes track the reason for being unvaccinated, or being in “Delinquent Immunization Status,” for COVID-19?  Some of the reasons include “patient refusal,” or “belief or group pressure.” Will parents who choose not to get the many booster shots now being required for children be penalized for that?  Will their children be penalized?

In my opinion, tracking the COVID-19 unvaccinated is a way to identify “resisters,” people who don’t just go along with the government narrative, who are unmoved by heavy propaganda, who think for themselves and who are willing to take the heat for going against the flow. Many of these people are conservatives and pro-life Christians, some of whom refused the jab because the injections were made using the cells of an aborted fetus. Is the government identifying the unvaxxed in order to characterize them as somehow “unclean,” or selfish, or even “grandma killers.” Will these codes be used to separate the unjabbed from society and ultimately, to persecute them?

For example, according to a report by Teachers for Choice, unvaccinated teachers in New York City have had their fingerprints and “problem codes” (indicating misconduct) in their personnel files sent to the FBI and the New York Criminal Justice Services. Are they — and others who have refused vaccination and express their reasons for doing so – being set up as purveyors of “disinformation” (a term coined by Stalin) or worse, as domestic threat actors?  Tracking immunization status is nothing new, but have those who lack a vaccination other than COVID-19 been treated this way?

ICD-10 codes were created by the World Health Organization (WHO), and are maintained by the CDC under WHO authorization. Will WHO receive this information? Will it be shared internationally, including with China? Ultimately, tracking vaccination status could be used as the pretext for requiring internationally interoperable vaccine passports, smart health cards, or other digital IDs. 

The idea for a “good” Digital ID was developed with globalist NGOs like George Soros’s , and the Rockefeller Foundation. Indeed, the World Bank is promoting a digital ID to assess corporate compliance with the U.N Agenda 2030 17 Sustainable Development Goals. SDG 16.9 calls for, “by 2030, provide legal identity for all, including birth registration.”  

At the November 2022 G20 meeting in Bali, Indonesia, the Declaration, published on the White House website, stated:

23.  We acknowledge the importance of shared technical standards and verification methods, under the framework of IHR (2005), to facilitate seamless international travel, interoperability, and recognizing digital solutions and non-digital solutions, including proof of vaccinations.  We support continued international dialogue and collaboration on the establishment of trusted global digital health networks as part of the efforts to strengthen prevention and response to future pandemics, that should capitalize and build on the success of the existing standards and digital COVID-19 certificates. 

In addition, the WHO is pressing for international vaccine passports.  It has already contracted with Deutsche Telekom to create these.  

Any mandatory digital ID can give rise to a “social credit system,” a tool the Chinese Communist Party uses for mass surveillance and totalitarian control.  Is that the goal? It sure looks that way. According to reports, Chinas social credit system has already been used to restrict travel, loans, purchases, applying for jobs, even getting a date. And worse, it provides a means for others to make unsolicited comments about you. In some areas of China, if you call a blacklisted person, you will hear a siren, followed by a warning that the person being called is on the blacklist. In Beijing, a blacklisted person driving through certain intersections may reportedly be identified by facial recognition software and their photo and ID will appear on a large digital billboard.  Do we want this dystopian nightmare to come to an intersection near us?

Vaccine passports are one of the major vehicles to create an international digital ID. And that effort is well on the way. Indeed, Research and Markets has estimated that the “Worldwide Social Credit Infrastructure” represents a $16.1 billion business opportunity by 2026.  

We must stand against vaccine passports, digital IDs, social credit systems and Central Bank Digital Currencies.

Germany: Eritrean harasses, insults, threatens and spits at several women on the train

A 34-year-old Eritrean man allegedly insulted, threatened and spat at three women on a local train on Thursday evening. After a police check, during which narcotics were also detected, he was deported to France.
A man allegedly harassed and aggressively attacked three women on Thursday evening at around 6 p.m. on the train from Kehl to Offenburg. This was reported by the Offenburg Federal Police.

According to the injured parties, the 34-year-old Eritrean man first insulted the women on the local train. When they called 911, the offender allegedly threatened the women, and when they tried to avoid him, he chased them, spat at them and sprayed them with perfume.

When the officers checked his personal details, they found out that he was subject to a re-entry ban. During a search, a small amount of narcotics was found. He is now facing several charges.

After the police measures were completed, he was deported to France.

Germany: Police arrest Iraqi serial rapist

The Munich Federal Police have arrested a suspected serial rapist. His fingerprints revealed his identity.

The Federal Police apprehended a suspected rapist during border controls on Sunday evening. The Düsseldorf Regional Court had ordered the 30-year-old Iraqi to be remanded in custody in 2020. According to a report by the Federal Police, he had sexually assaulted or raped three women. According to the report, the man was accommodated in asylum accommodation in North Rhine-Westphalia at the time.

The wanted Iraqi was arrested on the motorway A93 near Kiefersfelden. The officers verified the man’s identity with the help of his fingerprints. The man had apparently previously absconded to Italy and stayed there under several names. Federal police officers now checked the man in an Italian-registered coach heading for Munich.

The man identified himself with an Italian residence permit. He had only taken a photo of his Iraqi passport with his smartphone, which he showed to the control officers. It turned out that the photographed passport had been expired for a long time. With the help of his fingerprints, the federal police found out that he was wanted several times in Germany under different personal data. According to the arrest warrant, he was a potential risk of absconding.

In addition, it turned out that the wanted Iraqi had evaded the scheduled execution of his sentence in another case. “Due to a judgement of the Düsseldorf district court from 2020, he has to serve a 90-day prison sentence for dangerous bodily harm,” the police report says. In the same year, the road traffic office in Düsseldorf had also ordered that the man’s driving licence be confiscated because of an imposed driving ban. The Rosenheim Federal Police officers found the driving licence and confiscated it. They reported the Iraqi for his illegal entry attempt and brought him before the district court in Rosenheim on Monday. There, the pre-trial detention of the alleged rapist was confirmed. He is now in the Traunstein prison.

Germany: North Africans push passenger under train ready to depart

It is both a disturbing and remarkable report from the Karlsruhe Federal Police Inspectorate. Disturbing not only because a man was pushed under a ” train in service” at the main station in Pforzheim, but above all why: Apparently, the 49-year-old had refused to hand over a cigarette to his two attackers. The press release is remarkable because it says in the first sentences: “The injured party was approached by a 33-year-old Algerian and (he) demanded a cigarette. Accompanying the suspect was a 31-year-old man from Tunisia.”

This much clarity is anything but a matter of course for the police. Where otherwise in comparable cases there is talk at most of “suspects with a southern appearance” or in a completely misleading way even of a “man from Nuremberg”, here the names are named. But not by everyone. While the newpaper “Pforzheimer Zeitung” has taken over the police report more or less unchanged, the newspaper BNN censors as follows: “A 33-year-old and a 31-year-old man asked the 49-year-old for a cigarette.” And that’s the end of the statement!

According to the police, the two North Africans hit and pushed their victim. “During one of these blows, the victim fell between the platform and a standing train”, according to the report. However, the 49-year-old was able to “get back” to the platform on his own, where he was “abruptly” maltreated again by the two suspects.

The fact that the injured party, whose nationality was not disclosed by the police, did not end up on the tracks or under the train again is probably due in particular to the courageous intervention of bystanders. The police wrote: “Bystanders tried to separate the opponents, but only succeeded after officers of the Federal Police arrived.”

The Tunisian was apparently able to flee at first, but was apprehended shortly afterwards by the state police and handed over to the federal police patrol responsible at the main railway station. Both the victim and one of the two attackers reportedly had to be treated by an ambulance service.

The Federal Police filed charges against the two North Africans, among other things on suspicion of “dangerous bodily harm by life-threatening treatment”.

Dismantling diplomacy with ‘feminist foreign policy’

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) wants to counter German security issues abroad with feminist politics. Gender training, LGBTQ events and quotas are now part of their new guidelines, which are intended to bring about “cultural change”. The German ambassador to Hungary, Julia Gross, provided an embarrassing example.

The Foreign Minister recently underlined her commitment to a “feminist foreign policy” with new guidelines for the work of her agency. With this approach, “historically grown power structures” must be broken up, according to the paper which was made available to German weekly Spiegel. It is scheduled to be presented on March 1, this year.

“Feminist foreign policy” is not only aimed at women, but all members of a society. It includes everyone “who is pushed to the fringes of society because of gender identity, origin, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation or other reasons”. The document goes on to say that this attitude should be the common thread running through all of German foreign policy in the future.

To ensure this, Baerbock wants to hire an “ambassador for feminist foreign policy”. He or she will “ensure the mainstreaming of feminist foreign policy.” In Sweden there is already an “ambassador for gender equality”.

Baerbock wants to train the ‘feminist reflex’

In the future, there will also be contacts for these issues in foreign missions of the German Foreign Office. To this end, the Greens politician plans not only to strengthen the “gender competence” of her diplomatic staff, but also to make it a recruitment criterion. “Feminist foreign policy” is also to become mandatory training for employees in order to develop a “feminist reflex”.

Managers must also undergo “anti-bias training” in which they are informed about prejudice and privilege. The goal is a “culture change”. A “Best Feminist Practice Prize” is intended to create additional incentives for a commitment to “feminist foreign policy”.

More money for ‘queer events’

The German Foreign Office acknowledged that it had some catching up to do when it came to the proportion of female employees. Only 27 percent of diplomatic missions abroad are still headed by women. Things don’t look any better in the management team at headquarters.

Baerbock’s ministry also wants to make the participation of women a criterion for participation in events in the future. If, for example, discussion groups or guest lists are not equally represented, the “wrong” official representatives should stay away from the event.

The missions abroad should also receive more money for “queer events”, i.e. those that draw attention to the concerns of sexual and gender minorities. In 2024, the Green politician plans to hold a major conference on the subject.

Feminism does not mean pacifism

With regard to the war in Ukraine, the paper clearly stated that “feminist foreign policy was not synonymous with pacifism”. The lives of the people in the country should be protected by military means. However, the guideline for Baerbock’s policy does not contain any magic formula that can be used to deal with immediate security policy threats.

According to the Foreign Minister, feminist ideas should find their way into all areas of politics in the future. In the document, their authorities also demanded a “feminist foreign energy policy” and a “feminist foreign trade policy”.

Dismantling German competency

Baerbock has indeed left no stone unturned to dismantle the competence of German diplomatic staff wherever she can. In the summer of last year, she also ordered the requirements for the diplomatic service to be significantly lowered after female candidates in particular had repeatedly failed in the past.

In the meantime, Baerbock’s own lack of competence is already having a severe impact on the diplomatic corps. The German ambassador to Hungary, Julia Gross, provided an embarrassing example. She confused her host country with the Netherlands.

A meeting with the Hungarian Minister for Regional Development, Tibor Navracsics, has been scheduled for the coming days. “Cooperation in culture and education is a cornerstone of German-Dutch relations,” tweeted the German diplomat on this occasion. She decorated the tweet with an emoji in the colors of the Dutch flag.

But it got even better: Apparently asked about her mistake, the ambassador apologized that she had tweeted “in the dark”, corrected herself – and now tweeted the flag of Tajikistan. Only with a third tweet did Ms. Gross end her embarrassing message: “Third time’s a charm,” she tweeted – using the correct colors of Hungary.

This is not necessarily a recommendation for the “feminist foreign policy” announced by her department head.

Media Turns Monster Who Slit Woman’s Throat Into Hero for Cursing DeSantis – Dillbeck stabbed her more than 20 times and slit her throat

The moral stakes of picking a side here shouldn’t be complicated.

Thursday, Feb. 23, has been a long time coming for Laura Vann and her family. It’s the day she’ll finally get justice for her mother Faye Vann. The day that her mother’s killer, Donald Dillbeck will be executed. Vann reflected on the type of person her mother was.

“She was just a very sweet loving lady, she would do anything for anyone, she loved children, she loved her grandbabies, she loved me and she loved my brothers,” said Vann.

Donald Dillbeck was already serving a life sentence for the death of Lee County Deputy Dwight Lynn Hall back in 1979. He escaped custody two days before murdering Faye Vann in 1990 after he attempted to car jack her.

She was waiting alone in the Tallahassee Mall parking lot. Laura says she was supposed to be with her mom that day, which is something that she’s struggled with over the years.

“I’ve always wondered if I did go would have it happened to me too,” Vann said. “Or would he not have even bothered her.”

Here’s what actually happened.

Dillbeck was 11 years into a life sentence for killing the deputy when he walked away from a work release assignment catering a meal for a seniors event, according to court records. He then bought a paring knife and walked to Tallahassee.

Vann was waiting for her family when Dillbeck approached her car with the knife and demanded a ride, saying he’d forgotten how to drive, court records show.

Vann honked the horn, tried to drive off and fought back that Sunday afternoon, but Dillbeck stabbed her more than 20 times and slit her throat, court records show. He crashed the car a short time later and was captured after running from the scene.

Florida’s Supreme Court earlier this month denied appeals claiming he shouldn’t be put to death because he suffers from fetal alcohol syndrome and it was cruel and unusual to keep him on death row for more than 30 years before his death warrant was signed.

The cruelty lay in waiting 30 years to give the families of his victims closure.

Donald Dillbeck, 59, was pronounced dead at 6:13 p.m. after receiving a lethal injection at Florida State Prison, the governor’s office said. He had been convicted in the murder of Faye Vann, 44, in Tallahassee near the state Capitol.

Vann’s children, Tony and Laura, released a statement after the execution: “11,932 days ago, Donald Dillbeck brutally killed our Mother. We were robbed of years of memories with her, and it has been very painful ever since.”

They thanked DeSantis for carrying out the execution, saying it “has given us some closure.”

That was right on cue for the national media to fall in love with Dillbeck.

Whatever anyone feels about DeSantis or any politician, Democrat or Republican, maybe making a monster who slashed a woman’s throat into your hero is the wrong way to go?

How fundamentally evil do you have to be to be willing to side with absolutely anyone who’s against someone you oppose?

“As the clerk read the sentence aloud, one juror wept uncontrollably,” the Tallahassee Democrat reported, referencing the newspaper’s archives. “Readers wrote to the newspaper disturbed by how such an arbitrary split could still send someone to death row, or by how Dillbeck’s history of childhood trauma seemed to have granted him some, but not enough, mercy.”
