Urban Violence in France Compared to Ukraine War by Desperate Residents

Urban violence, drug trafficking and shootings have become so common in a so-called ‘no-go area’ in France that one resident has compared the area to the Ukraine war as it sees an average of one shooting every two days.

The Fontbarlettes district of the city of Valence in southeastern France is one of the many Sensitive Urban Areas (ZUS) across the country, often referred to as “no-go zones” but life in the area has become so unsafe that locals are speaking out.

“Frankly, I’m afraid of everything. I’m afraid to go to the market, I’m afraid to go to the park. I’m afraid to let my children outside. Delinquency has taken over the inhabitants,” a mother living in the area told the broadcaster Franceinfo. According to the report, Valence’s suburbs see a shooting every two days, on average.

“My children sleep with me because they are afraid,” another resident said and added that they often hear automatic gunfire saying, “We are at war. I see stuff about Ukraine and I tell myself it’s the same happening in my neighbourhood,” and added, “It doesn’t even shock kids anymore to see drug trafficking, to find syringes.”

According to Franceinfo, since the start of the year, there have been at least nine different shooting incidents in the neighbourhood, with at least one involving an automatic Kalashnikov-style rifle.

The violence and drug dealing have led to many businesses leaving the area and parents have complained that there is nowhere for their children to go, other than a local aquatic centre that costs 10 euros to enter, which many cannot afford.

Elodie Degiovanni, the Prefect of the DrĂŽme department, who serves as an official under the French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, admitted that insecurity in Fontbarlettes needed to be tackled but stated “our action is long-term.”

When police have attempted to provide order in the area, they have been attacked, with the neighbourhood being entirely cordoned off in late October of last year following violence directed at officers in the area, forcing their vehicles to retreat.

In the last several weeks alone there have been serval criminal incidents involving young children, including the shooting of a 16-year-old last Friday and the arrest last week of two children, who were found with several hundred euros worth of cannabis and heroin.

India: Muslim rapes and assaults former girlfriend, forces her to lick his spit as punishment for breaking up

The Kashimira police at Mira Road in Maharashtra arrested a 22-year-old man named Imtiyaz Chaudhary for assaulting and raping his former girlfriend. The accused not only assaulted the victim but also recorded the act and was using it to blackmail her. The incident reportedly took place on January 29.

According to reports, Imtiyaz committed the crime after getting angry over a breakup. The victim had reportedly broken off ties with the accused after he refused to marry her due to their different faiths.

The police said that Imtiyaz had been in a relationship with the victim since 2021, however, the latter stopped responding to the accused’s calls and messages after he refused to marry her. This miffed Imtiyaz, who called up the victim and asked her to meet him at a hotel named Kashimira lodge on Mira Road. The accused threatened to circulate private photographs and videos of the woman if she failed to turn up.

“The woman got scared at his threats and agreed to meet him on January 29,” said an officer attached to the Kashimira police.

On January 29, Chaudhary allegedly summoned the woman to a hotel and assaulted her sexually. He then began spitting on the floor of the room and forced her to lick it in order to torment and punish her for breaking their relationship.

Later, the accused released the victim on the condition that she will not tell anybody about her ordeal and not approach the police. He threatened her with death if she didn’t comply with his demands. The woman, however, went to Kashimira police station with a friend and a social activist and reported the assault.

Based on the victim’s statement, the Kashimira police registered an FIR against Imtiyaz Chaudhary on February 1, 2023, under sections 376 (rape), 377 (sodomy), 354-B (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to disrobe), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

“After learning that an FIR had been registered against him, Imtiyaz switched off his mobile and has been on the run. He sometimes switches on his cell phone and has been continuously changing his location. He is active on social media. Our team has been chasing him, and soon we will arrest him,” a police officer from Kashimira police station had said before the accused was arrested.

“We have traced the accused and are in the process of arresting him. The statements of the hotel staff have also been recorded,” another police officer from Kashimira police station was quoted as saying.

French teenager saves 13-year-old girl from rape by Algerian migrant with 11 convictions

On Friday, a French teenager saved a 13-year-old French schoolgirl from being raped on the street by an Algerian migrant.

The young girl was walking on a street in Cenon, southwestern France, while speaking with her mother on the phone. According to the public prosecutor of Bordeaux, FrĂ©dĂ©rique Porterie, the suspect “came running towards her, grabbed her, pushed her and made her fall before pulling her by the hair and putting his hand in her pants.”

The 49-year-old suspect dragged the screaming girl and then straddled her, unzipped his fly, and began to try forcing her to perform fellatio on him in the middle of the street, according to a report from French newspaper Le Figaro.

Another teenager, who was approximately the same age as the victim, tackled the Algerian migrant, allowing the girl to get away. The Algerian then attempted to attack the teen who had tackled him, but the teen’s efforts bought enough time for the girl to get away from danger and for others from the area to arrive to help stop the ongoing attack. The young man stayed near the victim to protect her from the suspect, who repeatedly kept trying to lunge at the girl.

The Algerian was surrounded until officers arrived on the scene and attempted to arrest him. The man resisted officers with extreme violence. He bit two of them on the hand, with one of the bites resulting in a severe injury that could lead to lasting nerve damage. He also hit a third officer with a strong blow. The vicious attack led one officer to require 10 days of hospital treatment, while the other two required five days.

Upon further investigation, the officers discovered the man had 11 previous convictions, including a number of cases involving violence. In one case from 2012, he was imprisoned for an assault that led to an involuntary death.

The man is unemployed, habitually smokes marijuana, and lives on welfare. During his court hearing, he denied he had anything to do with the case and “does not remember anything.”

The Algerian has been charged with attempted rape of a minor under 15 years of age as well as assaulting police officers. He remains in pre-trial detention.

France continues to struggle with deportations, including cases involving convictions for serious crimes. For example, in the wake of the murder of 13-year-old Lola in Paris late last year by an Algerian migrant, statistics revealed that only 0.2 percent of Algerians scheduled for deportation are actually deported.

Last year, French President Emmanuel Macron also admitted that half of all crimes are committed by migrants in Paris, but said he still accepted mass immigration.

Exemplary EU candidate Ukraine: Police chiefs running a prostitute ring?

Busting the Kiev police’s pimping ring. Twitter

It is worth following the social media pages of the Ukrainian Internal Security Service, because sometimes they reveal quite amazing facts. Embezzlement, bribery, smuggling, forgery, robbery, and since the outbreak of the war, collaboration with the Russians – not a day goes by without some kind of horror case being reported. Accordingly, high-ranking Ukrainian police officers are said to have been running a pimping ring.

Recently, a series of scandals have also reached the top management of law enforcement: It was revealed that the Kiev central police station was running a prostitute ring.

The Internal Security Service of Ukraine (SZBU) revealed that the management of the so-called Migration Police Department (a division of the police that deals with migration issues) covered up the running of prostitutes in the capital and other areas of the country.

According to their press release, the high-ranking police officers assisted the operation of a criminal organization that employed vulnerable women between the ages of 18 and 30 as prostitutes and recruited new girls for “intimate and escort work”. According to their information, they operated throughout Ukraine and even sent girls abroad.

They asked for between 500 and 10 000 dollars for one night, and their monthly income exceeded fifty million hryvnias.

Embezzling from the army

The Western mainstream media has been trying to hide particularly unsavory details about the hopeful EU candidate. This also applies to the current case.

The corruption shake down continues, during which it was revealed that several officials also profited from the equipment and supplies intended for soldiers. The Transcarpathian weekly newspaper KĂĄrpĂĄti Igaz SzĂł reported on the latest scandal implicating Bohdan Khmelnytsky, the head of the state procurement directorate, and Vyacheslav Sapovalov, the recently sacked deputy defense minister.

The former is accused of having bought 5 700 shoddy bulletproof vests worth more than one hundred million hryvnias for the army, and the latter of missing the purchase of one billion hryvnias worth of personal protective equipment. And who knows what other skeletons will fall out of the closet during investigations. The whole affair was revealed by an investigative journalist who discovered that the Ministry of Defense had signed a contract to feed the armed forces at a much higher price.

A comparison of prices revealed, for example, that while the price of eggs was set at 17 hryvnias, they are available in grocery chains for just under seven hryvnias.

KĂĄrpĂĄti Igaz SzĂł reminded their readers that a few days ago the head of the Ukrainian State Customs Service and his first deputy were also dismissed. At the same time, there was a house search at the State Tax Service, as well as at the oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky in connection with the oil company Ukrnafta, as well as at the homes of other politicians.

Corruption and whistleblowers

Based on the posts of the SZBU, which were probably made public for the purpose of deterrence, they often attack those who try to undermine the various aid packages. Approaching the first anniversary of the outbreak of the war, it is still reported that Ukrainians collaborating with Russians are targeted.

This could also mean that such individuals had been trading with Russians or pro-Russian Ukrainians, bypassing the sanctions, but also that they had been handing over information.

Mykola Khavroniuk from the Ukrainian think tank Center for Political and Legal Reforms said she hoped that the anti-corruption drive was not a sham, suggesting that it may have been window dressing for the EU.

Oleksandr Lemenov, director of the Ukrainian anti-corruption organization State Watch, confirmed that these actions were mostly staged. He said he did not believe these cases would lead to convictions.

Italy: Riot Police Intervene as Tensions Boil Over at Milan Asylum Office

screen grab www.ilgiornale.it

Violence erupted outside a Milan asylum office in the early morning hours of Monday as around 600 migrants gathered, with riot police being forced to act to maintain order.

The group of 600 migrants gathered along the Via Cagni ahead of the opening of the asylum offices, with tents being set up and made into a makeshift camp as migrants wait in line.

Police had been threatened by many of the migrants waiting in the area, as well as being spat upon and subjected to intimidation. Tensions mounted to the point that riot police were forced to charge the migrants twice during the morning to maintain order, Il Giornale reports.

Italian MP Riccardo De Corato, a member of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s Brothers of Italy (FdI), commented on the situation at the asylum office saying, “I don’t see why you can’t send these people elsewhere, whether in Lombardy or Piedmont, Veneto and other regions. Why concentrate this amount of African asylum seekers in Milan and Via Cagni?”

“Monday in Via Cagni is hell and the residents of that whole area of Niguarda must not suffer consequences of this kind. In addition, the prefecture of Milan has to deal with a huge amount of asylum requests and I do not think it is right to concentrate everything there, especially because it then becomes clogged,” he added.

Member of the European Parliament Silvia Sardone, a member of populist Matteo Salvini’s League, added: “Monday morning does not pass without the State Police being forced to intervene to disperse the hundreds of immigrants who put pressure on the barracks in Via Cagni to ask for new documents: problems that are repeated every week and to which the municipality is not giving any answer in support of the officers.”

The tensions at the asylum office came just hours after riots took place outside a deportation detention centre (CPR) currently housing around 40 migrants set for deportation, with the violence taking place following a demonstration by far-left anarchist extremists in the city.

Riccardo De Corato claimed that many of the migrants coming to Italy illegally had been let out of prisons in their home countries saying, “People who landed only a week ago in Italy turn out to have precedents in their countries of origin. This means that someone sends them to us, that these boats are loaded with people who have committed crimes.”

De Corato has also called for Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi to do more to keep the anarchist “social centres” in check to prevent extremists from organising possible future riots.

Anarchists in Italy have been also linked to recent violence against police in Rome and Milan in connection to the hunger strike of far-left anarchist terrorist Alfredo Cospito, currently in prison for bombing a Carabinieri barracks and shooting the head of a nuclear power company.

Cospito has been on hunger strike after he was placed in the highly restrictive 41-bis prison regime, which greatly limits his contact with the outside world. He was placed under the regime after sending letters to supporters outright glorifying violence and terrorism.

India: Govt. teacher turned Islamist terrorist, involved in attack on Vaishno Devi pilgrims, arrested with perfume IED bomb

Source – Hindustan Times

Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a government school teacher turned Lashkar terrorist and recovered a perfume IED bomb from him. Arif, a resident of Jammu & Kashmir’s Reasi district, was arrested while police were investigating the twin blasts in Narwal on 21 January, where nine people were injured.

The Jammu and Kashmir police chief Dilbagh Singh said that Arif had also confessed to his involvement in the attack on a bus carrying Vaishno Devi pilgrims in which 4 people were killed in May last year. He also said this was the first time that such type of a bomb was recovered from any terrorist operating in Jammy and Kashmir. The perfume bottle IED device would have exploded if anyone tried to press or open it.

“We have seen previously that various types of IEDs have been used by terrorists with explosive materials, sticky bombs and the timer-fitted ones, but this time we have recovered a new type of IED, which is the ‘perfume IED’. This IED is like a perfume bottle but contains explosive material. Since the IED is new to us, experts will see how harmful and how powerful it can be,” said Singh.

It has been learned that the primary objective of Arif was to target innocent people with these IEDs and to trigger communal hatred in the Jammu region. Arif has revealed that these IEDs were air-dropped via drones from across the border.

Singh also added, “Arif is a government employee and is an active terrorist of the Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit. He will not only lose his job, but we will file a strong case against him. Although he has very cleverly burnt all the evidence like his clothes, shoes and even his mobile phone. But police worked hard on even small inputs and leads that led to the arrest of Arif”.
