Church of England will be rewriting the Bible. Facebook
Are the plays of Shakespeare and the novels of Tolkien indicators of far-right sentiment? That was the conclusion reached by a British anti-terrorist agency. It comes on the heels of the Church of England suggesting that God should be “gender-neutral”.
The British counter-terrorism programme Prevent under the “Authority for Research, Information and Communication”, has published a list of books and films that should be seen as warning signs of “extreme right-wing” sentiment, reported the British Daily Mail. The agency reports directly to the British government.
These are said to include the complete works of Shakespeare, medieval sagas such as Beowulf and Canterbury Tales as well as British authors such as Tolkien, Orwell, Huxley and Burke. The document apparently describes the classics as “key works” of “white nationalists”.
This assessment is said to be based on “reading lists” on far-right internet platforms. A screenshot of such a reading list can also be found in the report. It shows several of the works mentioned under the heading “important texts” together with a picture of the British fascist Oswald Mosley.
Historian and publicist Andrew Roberts commented that the listing of these works was “truly astonishing”. Several of the writers listed, such as Huxley, Orwell and Tolkien, had been “anti-totalitarian writers”.
Church of England goes woke
Meanwhile, the Bishop of Lichfield, The Right Reverend Michael Ipgrave, announced that a “new joint project on gendered language will begin this spring”.
This will most probably be the final nail in the coffin of the Church. Its membership and attendance continues to dwindle. In fact, many reports suggest young adult membership is as low as 2 percent in England.
Former CIA analyst Mike Vlahos recently commented that the state was eager to destroy religion in order to better control populations. This was a particular feature of totalitarian governance, as in the former Soviet Union where religion was banned, he explained.

A German government counter-extremism official has labelled people who flee from “multicultural life” in German cities to the countryside as being extremists.
Dirk-Martin Christian, who heads up the Office for the Protection of the Constitution in Saxony, has described people who flee “multicultural life” as found in modern German cities as being “right-wing extremists”.
The official seems to have a growing concern about the political position of Saxony as a whole, with the entirety of East Germany seeing the populist Alternative for Germany party (AfD) rise to become the most popular political group.
According to a report by Die Welt, Christian believes that the political right are the “greatest threat to democracy” in Germany, with the official saying that he is particularly concerned about the growth of anti-government protests in the region, which have been sparked by Germany’s draconian COVID lockdown and dire energy situation.
He also lashed out at people in Germany who are looking to find what he called an “intact national community” in “remote areas”, saying that many people who flee “multicultural life” in the cities are, despite appearances, actually radical extremists.
“People think they are decent people, hard-working young people with children. In this way, the right-wing extremists gain acceptance,” he said regarding these people, many of whom have started their own small rural communities.
“But if the majority doesn’t distance themselves, extremists have an easy time of it,” he went on to warn.
Created to maintain the stability of the modern democratic German state, various officials within the Office for the Protection of the Constitution have expressed concern regarding the substantial growth of the populist right in Germany.
In particular, many officials are seemingly afraid of growing public dissatisfaction with the various left-wing policies pushed by the last number of federal governments, especially on issues to do with immigration and the constant push towards multiculturalism.
Over the last number of years, the German establishment has been extremely keen to crush such descent, having repeatedly attacked those fleeing multiculturalism as dangerous extremists.
For example, research into the phenomena published back in 2016 was keen to label such countryside residents as extremists, claiming that — although they mostly avoid getting involved in politics, and largely try to get along with their neighbours — they are secretly racists.
“While at first glance the men and women seem just to be engaging in cultural and traditional activities, they don’t accept migrants, refugees, democrats, and homosexuals in their society,” one report by a hardline left-wing organisation claimed.
Another self-described member of the Antifascist Action group, Olaf Meyer, said he was keeping tabs on those travelling to the countryside, reportedly explaining to the German media that extremists often looked like “young couples [who] buy farms and restore them together with their relatives and friends”.
The attempt to sideline those who question Germany’s obsession with multiculturalism however does not seem to have worked, with the populist AfD now standing as the single most popular political group in the formerly-communist east of the country.
There’s a lot to celebrate in Christian worship services. Singing hymns, prayers, and the learning of God’s Word are all part of corporate worship, and I happily participate in that. I also participate in confession.
The Protestant tradition involves both a public and silent confession of sins. It’s an acknowledgement that we are sinful by nature, and have sinned by thought, word and deed. Through this confession and our earnest repentance, we seek and receive forgiveness through God’s grace.
I sin every single day. I don’t like that I sin but as a member of the human race, it is an inescapable truth with which we’re stuck. As the apostle Paul wrote to Christians in Rome, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” That includes me.
Rational people can agree that sin is bad, and I do not embrace my sin; I confess it and seek forgiveness. Jesus Christ said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him,” so I reject any celebration of my sin.
But not all sins are treated equally. Increasingly, Protestant churches are celebrating sin through the installation of ministers whose behavior promotes LGBTQ ideology.
Consider this February 15th report whose headline heralds the “First openly transgender pastor called to guide Lutheran church in North Dakota.”
The pastor’s installation was unanimously approved by the congregation of the church, which has reportedly hosted town hall meetings to discuss, among other things, whether people should be forced to deny reality by calling women men, and vice versa; and whether children should be protected from genital mutilation. One can only speculate as to how those discussions will be steered.
The article goes on to quote the new pastor saying “Historically the church hasn’t been kind to transgender people. A lot of churches still aren’t kind to transgender people.” I do not know how the pastor defines what is kind or unkind but I do know that historically, the church has believed in the word of God as written in the Bible. A lot of churches still believe what is written in the Bible.
The behavior that defines LGBTQ ideology is sinful. That’s not my assessment, that’s what Christ said. He laid it out in the Gospel of Mark when He said, “Out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”
Affirming and celebrating the behavior of LGBTQ adherents raises a question for Christians: If we’re going to celebrate this sin, what other sins are we prepared to celebrate? That’s a scary proposition and it’s already happening.
The sin of murder is celebrated through the increase of euthanasia. The sin of theft is celebrated through prosecutors who have decriminalized it through their failure to prosecute. The sins of coveting, envy and deceit are celebrated through Critical Race Theory. The sin of slander is celebrated hourly on cable news channels.
Components of Critical Race Theory are even creeping into conservative parishes today. Whether this portends churches celebrating the sins of CRT’s advocacy for race hatred or its alignment with Marxist ideology remains to be seen.
We all sin, and through confession, repentance and grace, God forgives us. We are also called to forgive those who sin against us. Whether these are sins of sexual immorality, envy, theft or anything else, our duty is to forgive others as God forgives us.
But forgiving sin is not the same as affirming it.
The Bible instructs us to love one another but it also tells us to abhor that which is evil. None of my sins should be celebrated; they should be abhorred. If any pastor in the pulpit affirmed or celebrated my sins, I would walk out in the middle of that sermon and find a better church. But more churches are celebrating more sins, and it’s a colossal moral and civic hazard.
If the North Dakota pastor has been harassed, threatened, assaulted or otherwise treated unkindly, that is flat out wrong. Likewise, the pastor is entitled to the full enjoyment of and participation in American civic life, and I would demand that any effort to prevent the free exercise of these rights be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
But it is not unkind to believe what the Bible says. It is not unkind to call a sin a sin. It is not unkind to notice reality and natural law. These are normal behaviors. Just as I reject any affirmation of my sin, I reject any attempt to deny that which is normal and in accordance with Scripture.
In many cultures across time and space, the church has provided the moral bedrock of society. When churches celebrate sin, that bedrock crumbles and over time, so do the societies built upon it.
Scotland’s current Finance Secretary Kate Forbes is seeking to become the next leader of the governing Scottish National Party. – https://mylimeylife.blogspot.com/2021/01/kate-forbes-scottish-budget-most.html
Supporters of Kate Forbes, a candidate seeking to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as leader of the Scottish National Party, have revoked their endorsement of her candidacy after she revealed she would have voted against legislation on same-sex marriage on account of her Christian faith.
The current finance secretary was asked during a number of media interviews for her stance on topics such as same-sex marriage and having children outside of wedlock.
Forbes faced the wrath of some of her socially liberal colleagues after revealing she would not have supported legislation passed by the Scottish parliament which allowed for same-sex marriage.
The comments prompted several inquisitions from reporters seeking to delve into her religious beliefs.
During an interview with Sky News, Ms. Forbes said of unmarried couples having children: “It’s entirely up to them. It’s something that I would seek to avoid for me personally.
“But it doesn’t fuss me, it doesn’t put me up nor down, the choices that other people make.
“In terms of my faith, my faith would say that sex is for marriage, and that’s the approach that I would practice.”
NEW: SNP leadership candidate Kate Forbes tells @SkyNews her faith says it’s “wrong” for children to be born outside of marriage & she would “seek to avoid”.
The SNP politician issued her responses with the important caveat that she would not seek to change legislation already enacted by the Scottish parliament. “For me, it would be wrong according to my faith, but for you, I have no idea what your faith is. So, in a free society, you can do what you want,” she told Sky News.
The SNP leadership hopeful also confirmed she was not in favor of the Scottish government’s gender reforms which seek to make it legal for 16-year-olds to legally change their gender and to significantly reduce the amount of time a person is required to live in their desired gender before acquiring a Gender Recognition Certificate. She also revealed her view that a trans woman is biologically a man, as people cannot change their biological sex.
Forbes’ colleagues in Holyrood have quickly moved to distance themselves from her remarks.
“I welcomed my colleague Kate Forbes’ decision to join the SNP leadership contest given her talents and felt it would give us a real contest: new ideas and a new approach that we desperately need. However, I agree we can’t have a Party Leader who’d vote against same-sex marriage,” tweeted former supporter Richard Lochhead MSP.
“‘We must be full-throated in our support of equal marriage. No if or buts. I won’t be supporting Kate’s campaign on that basis. I wish her well- she’s extremely talented. But I have red lines. And this is one,” said Gillian Martin MSP.
“I absolutely and completely support equal marriage. I am unequivocal on this issue. I cannot continue to support Kate’s leadership campaign,” added Clare Haughey MSP.
Forbes, a devout Christian who is a member of the Free Church of Scotland, later took to BBC Radio 4’s “Today” program during which five of the seven questions she was asked related to same-sex marriage. Predicting the response from the line of questioning, she asked the presenter: “Are we saying high office is barred to people of faith?”
She has insisted her campaign had not been fatally derailed by the uproar among the liberal establishment for her traditional, religious views.
“Absolutely not,” she said to BBC Radio’s “Good Morning Scotland.” “We have a large party membership, most of whom are not on Twitter, and I understand that people have very strong views on these matters.
“I think the public are longing for politicians to answer straight questions with straight answers, and that’s certainly what I tried to do in the media yesterday. That doesn’t necessarily allow for much nuance,” she added.
Forbes is one of three confirmed contenders for the top job alongside current Health Secretary Humza Yousaf and Ash Regan, a former minister for community safety who resigned from her post in protest against the government’s controversial gender law reforms.
Many political commentators have questioned why such importance has been placed on Forbes’ view on religiously sensitive issues, but little has been asked of other candidates, such as Humza Yousaf, who is a practicing Muslim.
“I find it sickening that so much of commentary about Kate Forbes’ possible leadership bid is about her religion whilst none of the commentary about Humza Yousaf’s bid is about his religion,” tweeted Adam Tomkins, a constitutional lawyer and columnist at Scottish newspaper The Herald. “Either it matters for both of them, or it matters for neither of them,” he added.
One broadcaster did raise the subject of same-sex marriage with Humza, who claimed that despite his religion he supports equal marriage and believes his faith should not be his guide “as a basis of legislation.”
'I'm a Muslim, I'm proud of my faith… I don't use my faith as a basis of legislation.'
After leadership rival, Kate Forbes revealed she would've voted against the Equal Marriage Bill @HumzaYousaf tells @AndrewMarr9 that despite his religion he supports equal marriage. pic.twitter.com/Yp9Dv38G9v
It is important to note that despite claiming he supported the proposal, Humza actually abstained from the final vote in the Scottish parliament in 2014. His appearance on LBC led to some social media users suggesting he was happy to sell his soul for the top job.
Humza has frequently made controversial remarks around race, and has previously claimed Scotland has too many white people occupying important roles.
“Most of the senior positions in Scotland are filled almost exclusively by those who are White. The Lord President, White. The Lord Justice Clerk, White. Every High Court judge, White. The Lord Advocate, White. The Solicitor General, White. The Chief Constable, White. Every deputy chief constable, White. Every assistant chief constable, White. The head of the Law Society, White. The head of the faculty of advocates, White. Every prison governor, White,” he once stated in a rant in the Scottish parliament.
The risk that terrorists could reach the Mediterranean coasts is growing. A UN dossier has warned that jihadists have been crossing the Balkans in attempts to reach the EU.
While the war in Ukraine has absorbed resources and attention, there are other hot fronts that need to be kept an eye on. The warning was issued in a United Nations dossier. Many have focused on the new leadership of Al Qaeda passed to Saif Al Adel, but the document in particular outlined the threats that continue to surround Europe.
Such threats are intertwined with the migratory routes to Italy which have never stopped. And in fact Lampedusa is once again feeling the pressure. The island’s hotspot on Monday registered over 2100 migrants.
ISIS exploit regime change chaos in Libya
The remnants of the organization continue to operate in Libya and pose a threat to the security of African countries. The dossier stated that Al Qaeda brings fighters from Niger to Libya through the porous African borders. It is unclear whether those fighters are destined for other war scenarios in the Sahel, but a northward movement cannot be ruled out.
The risk is that solitary agents, or microcells of terrorists, aim at the Mediterranean coasts and above all at the hubs from which the boats loaded with migrants headed for Italy leave. It is a path that in the past had already affected the country.
The strategy is one already tested in other failed states such as Yemen: ISIS fighters favor marriages with local tribes to maintain social legitimacy and its grip on territory. In this way it can control precious routes such as those on the trafficking of arms, drugs and above all human beings.
Despite being weakened by Syrian raids, the group is still active in the southern sectors. Like Al Qaeda, ISIS proves to be resilient and capable of leveraging Libya’s fragility, exploiting ties with local communities and pushing illegal trafficking by recruiting new fighters.
Small terror cells
Even the structure has changed. The new leader Abdulsalam Darkullah has created small terrorist cells of 30-40 individuals also composed of foreign fighters, mostly from Ghana, Kenya, Niger, Nigeria and Sudan. Further west, proselytism at the gates of Spain is also worrying. Several EU member states have reported to the UN that the danger of foreign fighters who are reinventing themselves as recruiters to create autonomous cells capable of operating in Europe is still high.
Many of these are skilled in radicalization processes and have direct contacts with the central commands of the organizations. In October, the Spanish police dismantled one of these cells in the enclave of Melilla. Some 13 people ended up in handcuffs between Melilla, Granada and Morocco for having indoctrinated about fifty children. The fulcrum of the cell is a radical imam from Melilla and two former ISIS fighters who had fought in Mali.
Balkan route as an entry
Also worrying is the route that runs along the Balkans. Here too the alarm bells continue to ring, as demonstrated by a double arrest last August. Spanish forces detained two Al Qaeda operatives between Austria and Spain. The two had joined the organization in 2014 during a period spent fighting in Syria. The investigations showed that the terrorists had managed to cross Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary and finally Austria undisturbed.
Perhaps even more disturbing is that the couple arrived in Europe thanks to a network of Serbian traffickers capable of providing passports to access the Schengen area. The Balkan route therefore remains one of the sensitive points in which to intervene, in particular by extending the biometric control systems to trace possible terrorists.
What horrible news! A girl (aged 5) who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon is dead.
A passer-by discovered the little girl in a thicket in Pankow’s citizen’s park at around 5.40 p.m. on Tuesday evening – close to a goat enclosure where children can pet and feed the animals.
The girl was seriously injured and died a short time later.
Earlier, alarmed rescue workers had resuscitated the girl in the park. The five-year-old was taken to hospital by helicopter, where she died of her injuries a short time later.
According to information from the newspaper BILD, the girl was killed by several knife wounds.
A police spokesperson told BILD: “We assume that it was a homicide. A suspected 19-year-old has already been arrested in connection with the case.”
The 19-year-old was caught on Tuesday “at the edge of the park” where the girl was also found, a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday morning. “If the suspicion of the crime is substantiated, he will be brought before a magistrate today,” the spokeswoman continued.
The five-year-old was last seen in “Paule Park” at around 2.45 pm – then she suddenly disappeared.
The Fourth Berlin Homicide Squad is investigating. It is still completely unclear how the girl got from “Paule Park” to Bürgerpark, several hundred metres away, and what role the suspect plays in this. The police are investigating whether the child ran away or was even kidnapped.
A police spokesperson told BILD: “The suspected perpetrator is of German-Turkish origin. The victim has German-Polish-Turkish roots.” The 19-year-old has a connection to the girl. According to BILD information, however, the two are not related, but ” known to each other”.
How they knew each other and whether the man had lured the girl away from the playground and she went along unsuspectingly is the subject of the investigation.

Although conservatives are continuing to laugh, humor in the greater culture is on its way out. Tucker Carlson has done an entire Fox Nation special directed at the way in which the shibboleths of woke, leftist culture make mainstream comedy impossible. An utterly savage, incredibly funny South Park episode from 2005, which attacks the madness of transgenderism, and also gets in a huge dig at abortion, goes a long way to explaining why leftists fear and censor humor.
Judging by the Wikipedia summary, the entire episode from which the clip is drawn seems worth watching. Mr. Garrison has decided he is a woman trapped in a man’s body and gets a sex change operation in Trinidad. At the same time that Kyle is told that he can’t play basketball because he’s too small and white. Upon learning about the sex change surgery, Kyle heads to Trinidad to get a “negroplasty” to make him African American.
That’s just the setup and, of course, there is much more, including the now-viral clip below. I just want you to imagine anyone making a cartoon like that in today’s totalitarian woke climate. Wikipedia says that, even in 2005, Trey Parker was worried about airing the episode, but Comedy Central accepted it, and it got aired. Amazingly, the world did not end.
Someone must have been catching up on old South Park episodes because, suddenly, the short segment in which Mr., er, Mrs. Garrison goes to Planned Parenthood for an abortion has suddenly gone completely (and deservedly) viral.
The clip comes with the usual grossness and language warnings that apply to any South Park clip, but this is one that everyone should see. It’s savage, accurate, and very funny. It’s also incredibly anti-abortion along the way. Again, you could not make this nowadays except as conservative samizdat:
South Park episode from 2005 was on point about the trans movement and abortions 🤣 pic.twitter.com/RHY87h1yfq
