Chills ran up and down the spines of those who witnessed the trial of a married couple in room 106 of the Vienna Regional Court on Thursday. The list of accusations against the 36-year-old husband is long: having come to Vienna from Syria in 2015, the welfare recipient beat his wife continuously from 2016 onwards. “The accused also abused three of the children, partly with a stick or his belt,” the prosecutor elaborates. The allegations concerning the couple’s daughter, who is only 13 years old, are heinous.
From April 2021 onwards, the father allegedly raped his child many times: “Predominantly at night around 4 a.m., he would sneak into her room and lie down behind her,” the prosecutor says. According to the indictment, he covered the girl’s mouth during the horrors. “If you tell, I will kill you and the family,” he allegedly threatened the child.

During questioning by Judge Stefan Huber, the accused responded aggressively. During a toilet break, accompanied by the police, he hit a fire extinguisher container, which shattered. Scolding loudly, he pointed his index finger at his wife again and again: “It’s a plot! She made the children say all this.” In adversarial hearings, the children gave detailed accounts of the atrocities.

But only the beatings were admitted by the man: “Why shouldn’t I beat my children when they do something wrong?” he said with a shrug. Even defence lawyer Walter Wendt admitted: “It is a family tragedy of inconceivable proportions.”

In April 2022, the girl confided in her mother. But she did not go straight to the police, but wanted to collect evidence first. Her waiting until June 2022 is the reason for the charge as a complicit offender: “You have to put yourself in the woman’s shoes,” explains defence lawyer Andreas Reichenbach, “she was massively threatened and abused for years. She was afraid for her life and the lives of her children.” – The trial is adjourned.

With tens of thousands of elites descending upon the Red Sea resort town of Sharm El Sheikh for the UN COP27 climate conference, some 400 private jets have been witnessed landing in the Egyptian city.

The COP27 climate change summit, which was too hypocritical for even Greta Thunberg to attend, has been beset with accusations of elitism and double standards.

This was further confirmed on Friday, when the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency reported that over 400 private jets have landed in the Egyptian coastal city over the past few days while the conference is being held.

Speaking on condition of anonymity to the news agency, a source close to local aviation authorities said: “More than 400 private jets landed in the past few days in Egypt,”

“There was a meeting ahead of COP27, and officials were expecting those jets and made some arrangements in Sharm el-Sheikh airport to welcome those planes.”

The rank hypocrisy from globalist elites is not out of character, with a similar number of private jets flying to last year’s COP26 conference in Glasgow, with even then-Prince Charles and Boris Johnson opting to fly private despite living in the same country, with rail networks available.

Around 33,000 people registered to attend the meeting in Egypt — which could have been done largely on Zoom, if reducing carbon emissions was that important.

Meanwhile, the UN summit has also come under criticism for offering attendees gourmet meals consisting of meat, fish, and dairy products, as many in attendance — including the UN, itself — have advocated for the regular public to start eating more ‘sustainable’ food sources, such as insect-derived proteins.

German reporters have also claimed that the compound hosting the summit has been blasting the air conditioning so cold that people were bundling up with scarves and other winter accoutrements.

All this has seen the conference lose credibility with the public. Leading figures at the conference, such as Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore called for increasingly radical responses to the alleged climate crisis, including providing climate reparations.

Yet, according to Climate Action Against Disinformation, which tracks supposed disinformation on social media, the main themes in the public’s perception of the meeting were “hypocrisy and elitism”.

The hope that there would be a drastic change in asylum policy under the new Italian right-wing government has already received a severe setback.

Two weeks after taking office, Giorgia Meloni is faced with a growing dilemma: The alleged “rescue” ship Geo Barents was allowed to dock in Catania on Sicily, whereupon 357 migrants went ashore.

The authorities had previously allowed 144 of the 179 migrants to leave the Humanity 1, which also anchored in Catania on Saturday evening. The captain of the ship, Joachim Ebeling, had obtrusively refused to leave Catania again, as the Italian government demanded.

Meanwhile, two more “rescue” ships are waiting offshore: the German ship Rise Above with 90 people on board and the Norwegian Ocean Viking with 234 migrants.

In 2018 and 2019, the then Lega Interior Minister Salvini had consistently blocked Italian ports for migrant ships for months.

Premier Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday said the decision was made by the “health authority” to allow around 250 people who were on board two NGO-ships to disembark in Catania. She added that it did not depend on the government.

On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Police filed an FIR against five persons of a Muslim family and an Islamic cleric identified as Guddu Haji for brutal gang rape of a woman several times after she was given triple talaq. The incident is said to have happened in Shahjahanpur area of Uttar Pradesh. The other persons booked in the case have been identified as Salman, Islam and three of their other family members.

According to reports, the victim woman married Salman five years ago. However, he divorced her under the triple talaq system a few months ago and later desired to have her again in his life. Then, Islamic cleric Guddu Haji suggested that the woman could be accepted as a wife only if she married and was divorced again by someone else. This process in Islam is called Nikah Halala.

The woman in the complaint said that based on the suggestion of Islamic cleric Guddu Haji, Salman made her marry his younger brother named Islam who later refused to divorce her. The duo then raped her. The Police confirmed the incident and said that even after the victim did as she was asked, the younger brother refused to divorce her and both brothers took to raping her.

Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar also added that as per the woman she was gang-raped by both Salman and Islam on several occasions. “Based on the complaint we have booked Guddu Haji, Salman, Islam and three of their family members under sections of Gangrape (376 IPC), unnatural sex (377D IPC) along with sections of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019”, he added.

Notably, the complaint was filed by the Police after the woman went to the local court and the court issued orders directing the police to file an FIR in the case. The lady was also admitted to the hospital for a medical examination before being presented before a magistrate to give her a statement.

The Supreme Court eliminated triple talaq in 2017, which allowed a Muslim man to divorce his wife in minutes by uttering talaq three times. Prior to the Supreme Court decision, India was one of just a few countries that allowed triple talaq. The Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, supported the push by Muslim women and activists to criminalize the practice.

All the six accused in the case are absconding and the Police are taking efforts to nab them all. Further investigation in the case is underway.

Police officers were able to arrest a Syrian (21) on Wednesday evening, who allegedly committed three sexual offences. The 21-year-old is already in custody.

Review: A young woman (20) was walking in Chemnitz city centre on Friday ( November 4). “The perpetrator followed her, took her to the ground in the area of Moritzstraße/Zschopauer Straße and performed sexual acts on her,” the police said.

After the crime, the Chemnitz police evaluated footage from video cameras in the city centre. Both the victim and the suspect were discovered. Investigators were able to identify the Syrian man on the basis of the images – and connect him to possible further offences.

This is because the Syrian is alleged to have raped another woman in June 2022. Apparently, the perpetrator and the victim knew each other. According to the newspaper BILD, they exchanged photos on Instagram. However, the woman only reported the crime about a fortnight ago. Exactly the same thing is said to have happened during a sexual harassment at the beginning of November this year. Thanks to these pictures, a connection to all the offences could be established. A DNA match is still in progress.

Senior public prosecutor Ingrid Burghart told BILD: “The arrest warrant was requested for two counts of rape and sexual harassment.” The warrant was issued on Wednesday in the run-up to the raid. On Thursday, the 21-year-old was brought before an investigating judge, who executed the arrest warrant. He was then taken to a prison.

One of the most important ideas at the end of the Cold War was the idea of being a citizen. The vision of creating civic societies, especially among communities that broke away from communist regimes, gave many citizens hope of regaining their personal dignity. After all, what could be more important? By gaining their freedom back, they were now able to take responsibility for their common future.

This hope did not concern only the post-communist societies seen in Central and Eastern Europe and other post-Soviet regions. It also appeared at the end of the Cold War in other parts of the world such as Asia, South America, and across Africa. This hope for a community of citizens taking back power developed in Western societies as well, where some were observing with concern how some forms of the market-driven society and globalizing capitalism had started to drive out civic rights and freedoms.

The modern world now seems more unsympathetic than ever to the idea of a citizen and the idea of freedom compared to the hopes that existed after the fall of communism.

Chinese totalitarianism and the old Russian despotism, the complete dependency on new technology and mass consumption, and many other social and cultural phenomena have rendered the idea of the “citizen” nothing more than a relic from the past. It also does not seem like anyone particularly wants to stand up for civil liberties.

In mainstream politics, none of the dominating forms of populism in today’s Europe — nationalist, liberal or leftist — need independent citizens anymore. By driving polarization, this form of politics seeks citizens who are obedient voters devoted to these competing parties. Officials managing international institutions or tribunals protecting the rule of law also do not need citizens at all.

Europe, which just two decades ago was willing to consider the idea of a citizen as one of its greatest political values and achievements, got rid of the entire concept silently and without blinking an eye.

Other ideas faced the same fate: pluralism was replaced by diversity, and freedom of speech by political correctness.

Ideas have consequences. Their longevity or disappearance bring specific consequences for the functioning of societies. If the West again decides today to oppose freedom in the face of despotism, then what would it be without the existence of real citizens?

The aim of the government’s biomonitoring programme is to investigate what damage to health the more than 23 000 chemical substances registered in the EU could cause. “Emerging risks” are expected to be included.

The left-socialist government coalition around Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez claims to be concerned that the population is being exposed to more and more chemical substances and products that are harmful to health.

Therefore, on November 3, 2022, it was officially ordered that the population should be subjected to “biomonitoring” with immediate effect. For this purpose, the Decree PCM/1049/2022 “Establishing the Interministerial Commission for Human Biomonitoring” was published. As usual, the government relies on EU guidelines on this issue.

In its new regulation, the government announced: “The number of chemicals and substances on the world market is constantly increasing. More than 23 000 substances are currently registered in the European Union under the REACH regulation, according to the register of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Global sales of chemicals amounted to 3471 billion euros in 2020, while in Europe it was 499 billion euros, accounting for 14,4 of sales.”

Despite the existing legal framework, knowledge about exposure to chemical substances and their health effects remains a major challenge, the government said. This is due to the large number of existing and newly synthesized substances, the complexity of geographic and temporal exposure situations, the impact of cumulative exposure over time, the combination of substances and emerging risks.

In this context, “Human Biomonitoring” (BMH) is a very useful tool for health protection, as it provides concrete information on exposure to chemicals through an assessment of chemicals or their degradation products in human samples.

Through the BMH one can learn about the level of exposure of individuals, the general population or specific groups, as well as the routes of exposure and the determinants of exposure – and in some cases their potential health effects. This could allow exposure reduction measures to be developed to reduce harm to individuals.

According to the government , the European Commission has supported the development of the BMH by funding various projects as part of its research programmes. In this regard, the “Human Biomonitoring Initiative for Europe (HBM4EU)” stands out. This is a multiannual program designed to establish, coordinate and promote human health surveillance in the European Union.

The aim is to gain knowledge about the exposure of citizens to chemical pollutants and their effects on health, and then taking certain public health measures which will be touted as contributing to improving the health and well-being of the population.

One of the most important points of this initiative is the need to develop national BMH structures to ensure the sustainability and continuity of the European network. This is the only way to meet the needs of each participating country in the field of “human biomonitoring”. The overarching goal in the medium to long term is to create an institutional structure for the exchange of information, experience and best practices in the field of chemical risk management.

With this decree, the Interministerial Commission for “Human Biomonitoring” (CIBMH) was created. The Ministry of Health is the competent authority for the application of all the above European regulations, the authority cooperating with the Carlos III Health Institute in Madrid, an autonomous body dependent on the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health participates in all the assessment procedures set out in the various regulations, both for industrial chemicals (REACH regulation) and for active substances for biocidal and phytosanitary purposes (specific regulations).

Article 2 of the new regulation specifies the responsibilities of the CIBMH. This includes the coordination, planning and organization of the tasks carried out by the state administration in connection with studies or plans for human biomonitoring in the field of chemical substances and their degradation products in human samples. An exception are medicinal products or those of radioactive origin.

Spanish lawyer Aitor Gusiasola, who pointed out this regulation in a video on his channel Un abogado contra la demagogia, emphasized: “Everyone can come to their own conclusion, I have already done so. It doesn’t seem right to me that we should first be exposed to chemical substances and then see how they have damaged our health.”

Unbelievably heinous act in Vienna! An Iraqi and an “Austrian citizen with a migrant background” are said to have had sexual abuse against two girls (11 and 14 years old!) in a flat in the Meidling district.

According to a police statement, the crime took place in the Meidling district of Vienna. The two girls, aged 14 and 11, went to the crime scene flat to buy drugs from an Iraqi (18). According to the police, an Austrian (17) was also present in the flat at that time.
The older of the girls allegedly had sexual intercourse with the Austrian voluntarily. Afterwards, however, she was forced by him to engage in further sexual acts. The Iraqi is said to have raped the younger girl and subsequently abused her severely. The two girls were then able to flee and call the police.

The two young men were arrested in the flat by officers of the Meidling municipal police. The Austrian (17) was provisionally arrested and charged with suspicion of violation of sexual self-determination. He has already been released from custody, according to investigators. The Iraqi (18) was taken to the Josefstadt Prison on suspicion of rape and aggravated sexual abuse after his arrest.
