Ukraine bans last opposition party

The Ukrainian High Court has finally banned all 12 political opposition parties. Curiously, the banned parties were all accused of having acted in accordance with the Minsk Agreements (2015), recognized by the United Nations Security Council (Resolution 2202).

The remaining political party to be banned was the Socialist Party of Ukraine. Despite this, Ukraine is described as a “great democracy”, according to NATO.

In March, the Ukrainian Security Council adopted a decision to ban it and a law was passed by the unicameral parliament of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada on 3 May, which was signed by President Zelensky on May 14. Because the Russian Federation decided to intervene in order to protect the victims resulting from the violations of the Minsk Agreements, any reference to these international agreements is regarded as “high treason”.

Only the Transcarpathian Oblast (close to Hungary) has refused to remove the local representatives of the political opposition parties from office.

India: 4 Muslim youths vandalise Hindu temple, protestors say member of Congress was trying to protect accused

Vandalism in a temple on the day of Govardhan Puja has been reported in the Bhiwadi district of Alwar, Rajasthan. According to reports, Hindus from the Dalit community were distributing Annakoot Prasad in the Shiv Mandir of Hamiraka village, which is located in the Sheikhpura police station area, when four boys from the Muslim community attacked the temple and threw all the prasad. Those who tried to stop them were also assaulted.

The reported incident took place on October 26. Several Dalits were preparing Prasad for Govardhan Pooja when Mubarak, Mufeed, Taleem, and Joam Khan forcibly entered and vandalised the Hindu temple. The accused Muslim youths also threw Prasad on the ground. When the people present inside the temple tried to stop them, the Muslim miscreants threatened to kill them. The victim went to Sheikhpura police station and told their ordeal, however, the police did not reportedly take any action.

An angry mob protested outside the police station. Many BJP leaders along with workers, including former Bhiwadi Municipal Council chairman Sandeep Dayma, former MLA Maman Singh Yadav, and BJYM district president Abhay Singh, arrived at the scene after learning about the incident. In the wake of the law and order situation, the police deployed a team of officers to Sheikhpura. Two people were arrested. ASP Vipin Sharma has assured to arrest of the remaining suspects within 24 hours.

According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, Tijara MLA from Congress Sandeep Yadav arrived at the scene after the incident, when protesters demanded the arrest of the accused. When they saw him, BJP workers claimed he had come to save the accused party. Following this, there was an argument between MLA supporters and BJP workers. After police intervention situation was brought under control.

It is worth noting that on Diwali, some Muslim miscreants in Kaithwara beat up Hindus objecting to the bursting of crackers. In the incident, one person was seriously injured. However, the Bharatpur police flatly denied the assault was caused over the bursting of firecrackers.

UN claims climate catastrophe now almost unavoidable

By Eric Utter

Three — count ’em, three — new reports from the United Nations claim that the planet is in dire, imminent danger because the nations of the world are not adequately mobilizing against climate change.  According to the reports, countries are neither creating sufficient plans to reduce warming nor acting on them quickly enough, even as global greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise, thus putting the planet on track to experience nearly 3 degrees Celsius of warming within less than 80 years.

United Nations secretary-general António Guterres stated, “Loss and damage from the climate emergency is getting worse by the day and global and national climate commitments are falling pitifully short.  Under current policies, the world is headed for 2.8 degrees of global heating by the end of the century.  In other words, we are headed for a global catastrophe.”  Guterres added that the only way to change this tragic trajectory is with “urgent system-wide transformation.”  (Translation: “Wealthy, Western, free-market nations must sacrifice themselves for the good of posterity because no one else will.)  Naturally.  Most of the countries constituting the United Nations want the U.S., in particular, to stop exhibiting “ableism” and to shut down its previously highly productive and efficient extraction and manufacturing industries.

The Democrats welcomed these reports, as they interpret them as lending support to their virulently anti-American agenda.  They, and the media (sorry, I repeat myself), are pulling out all the stops now, just days before the midterm elections.  This is evidenced by ever more extreme, panicked, and preposterous headlines, such as “New reports warn of untold human suffering as climate goals fall short,” “Republicans would deliberately crash the economy if elected,” “Republicans to end democracy if elected,” and Salon’s “Study: Republican policies are killing Americans.”  Etc., etc.  I fully expect MSNBC or Salon to soon state unequivocally: “We are all going to die on November 9 if Democrats don’t retain the House and Senate.”

I can’t wait for the inexplicable 2–4 A.M. ballot dumps.  Sometimes democracy really does die in darkness.

Meloni announces radical change in asylum policy

Giorgia Meloni. Facebook

In her first speech as head of government in front of parliament, the new Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced a radical change in her country’s asylum policy.

Meloni also made a commitment to Europe: “Italy is fully part of Europe and the western world,” said the leader of the Fratelli d’Italia (FDI) party.

Regarding the refugee situation in the Mediterranean, Meloni said that she wanted her government to prevent the arrival of boat migrants. “This government wants to go down a path that has hardly been explored until now: stopping illegal departures and finally breaking up the illegal human trafficking in the Mediterranean,” she said.

Her statement was not correct however. During his tenure as Italy’s interior minister, Matteo Salvini already tried not to let the migrant boats land but failed, among other things, due to various court decisions.

“If you don’t want me to talk about ship blockades, I’ll say it like that,” Meloni continued. She went on to say that her government, in coordination with the authorities of the North African countries, wants to set up centers in the “hotspot areas” where international organizations will check whether people have a right to asylum. “We do not want to discuss the right to asylum for those who are fleeing executions,” Meloni said in her speech, which lasted more than an hour.

Meloni warns German organization

The prime minister stressed in her speech that the only aim was to prevent smugglers from deciding who should be allowed to come to Italy.

The so-called NGO sea rescuers rightly understood Meloni’s speech as a declaration of war. These organizations are already looking for boats off the African coast, regularly taking hundreds of migrants on board and then taking them to Italy. Among them is the Humanity 1 of the Berlin organization SOS Humanity, which sails under the German flag. On Tuesday it collected another 180 migrants near the coast of Libya and announced that it would bring these people to Italy – not Libya.

Soon, when the ship calls at an Italian port, there could be a showdown. Because Meloni has already taken action. She had her new Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, instruct the police and port authorities to inform the “flag states”, including Germany, that the ships were not acting in accordance with European and Italian border security and control standards.

Rather, these boats should be regarded as instruments of illegal migration.

Making many enemies

Self-appointed left-wing language regulators are outraged for yet another reason: The new Italian head of government also made it clear right at the beginning of her term in office that in future she would be addressed as “il presidente del consiglio” (the prime minister), insisting on the masculine form of her title.

Her EU Commission chief von der Leyen had congratulated her on being the “first woman” to hold the office of Italian head of government.

Leftists of all shades are fuming at the news. Laura Boldrini, MP for the Democratic Party, wrote on social media: “Italy’s first head of government wants to be given a male title. Is the affirmation of the feminine of the head of the Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) asking too much?”

Criticism also came from the union of Italian Rai journalists Usigrai. “While Italy is struggling to adapt to European norms for the use of the feminine in public offices and professions, we are witnessing a dangerous step backwards,” the union wrote in a letter. It demanded that all journalists pay attention to gender-specific language in reporting on Meloni. No colleague can be “forced to use the masculine noun in the case of Meloni, on the contrary, RAI journalists are obliged to use the feminine noun in their names,” the union emphasized.

Meloni’s cabinet also has fewer women ministers than that of her predecessor, Mario Draghi. Only six women were appointed to the new cabinet. In Mario Draghi’s previous government, there were eight women among 23 members.

Atlanticist foreign policy

It is no coincidence that in the Chamber of Deputies, to assist from the tribune reserved for guests, there was the interim charge d’affaires of the American embassy, Shawn Crowley. Meloni therefore chose her words carefully, especially on all the crucial passages concerning foreign policy.

The parliamentary group of the League notably did not applaud the passage on the “invasion” by Russia of Ukraine.

Meloni is planning a trip to Brussels as early as next week, to meet the presidents of the EU Commission and Council, Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel. Her schedule will also include a face to face meeting with NATO secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg.

The relationship between the two appears to be solid. So much so that yesterday Stoltenberg expressed words of appreciation for Meloni’s programmatic statements.

But there is also a trip planned to Kiev on the table, an unequivocal sign of support for the cause of Ukraine. Not surprisingly, interviewed by Corriere della Sera, Vladimir Zelensky had invited the Italian premier to Kiev. According to Italian sources, it is a trip that Meloni would like to put on the agenda before the G20 scheduled in Bali on 15 and 16 November.

The difficult deradicalisation of Daesh children in France: “My mum says I shouldn’t talk to the boys”

In this case, it is the mother, who has kept the second child, who relies on the educator to help her break the father’s influence. “She expresses her concern about her husband’s radicalism. In fact, he asks the education authorities to have his children’s hair shorn according to religious rules. She ended up making the same request as the husband. As a professional, I was not able to position myself and respond. I didn’t really understand her request, even though she shared with me her concern about her husband’s radicalisation and her request seemed very paradoxical.”

(…)

The special needs teacher Nour reports what she has been told by children: ‘My mum told me that I can’t listen to music …’; ‘My dad tells me that we are not like you, you are infidels …’; ‘My mum told me that I can’t dance like the girls in my class …’. “; “My dad told me that you can’t be a Muslim in France because the French don’t respect our religion …”; “My mum told me that I can’t talk to the boys …”; “My mum and dad want me to go to a school for Muslims …”; . We can note that most of the statements transmitted by the parents of these minors identify them as different children for whom different conditions must apply than for children in French society. One father told Nour: “I joined the Islamic State so that my children would not grow up among infidels”.  Marianne

“It’s unbearable”: In the trial for the attack in Nice, the family of the Islamic terrorist mocks the families of the victims

Six years after the attack in Nice on July 14, in which 86 people were killed and hundreds injured, the trial began in Paris on September 5. As BFMTV reported on Friday October 28, an incident during the hearing the day before outraged the victims’ families and the joint plaintiffs. Indeed, laughter could be heard from the hall reserved for the terrorist’s family. “It is an insult, it is unbearable,” complained Alain Dariste, joint plaintiff and co-chair of the victims’ association Promenade des Anges.

There was much laughter on this day marked by a statement from the cousin of the Islamist terrorist on the witness stand. Alain Dariste regretted that some relatives of the assassin Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel had made statements that were ” beside the point “. “They didn’t answer, they were doubtful, they didn’t know anything,” the association president said. The laughter was the straw that broke the camel’s back. After this “unacceptable” behaviour, which left the joint plaintiffs “stunned”, they demanded that penalties be set. “It shocked us all, it hurt us all,” concluded Alain Dariste.
