India: Islamists oppose playing of devotional songs in a Hindu temple, attack 3 women who had gone there
On Tuesday, the Bihar police lodged an FIR against around 15-20 unidentified Islamists for attacking 3 Hindu women who had gone to a temple to worship Lord Hanuman in Gopalganj district. Three of the accused Islamists have however been identified as Golden Ahmed, Subrati Ahmed and Sadidan Khatun. The Police have booked the accused under the relevant sections of the IPC.
According to the News18 report, the incident is said to have happened at the Hanuman Temple in Gopalganj area of Bihar. The three women were beaten by the people belonging to the Islamist community for playing bhajans on the loudspeaker at the temple. The Islamists also attacked other people who tried to save the women.
The three women were severely injured and were immediately taken to the local hospital. “They beat us for worshipping the God and for playing bhajans on the loudspeakers. They (Islamists) usually beat people who come to worship Lord at this temple”, one of the victims named Gulabi Devi confirmed.
According to reports, the temple was playing devotional songs on the occasion of Navaratri and Durga Puja. But the Muslims in the area had opposed the usage of loudspeakers during the Hindu festival. They had asked the temple authorities to shut the loudspeaker, failing which they brutally assaulted the women who had come to the temple to worship on October 4.
The Police taking the cognizance of the event maintained that an official complaint had been filed in the case and that the investigation was underway. Sanjeev Kumar, SDO, Gopalganj said, “The issue is between the two communities. One community cannot force the other one from practicing their religion. The local administration has also set up a committee to resolve the issue. Both the parties have been heard and have been asked to maintain peace ahead of the festivities”.
The Police have booked Golden Ahmed, Subrati Ahmed and Sadidan Khatun and 15-20 other unidentified Islamists for attacking the Hindu women in the temple. The case has been lodged under the relevant sections of the IPC. Further investigation in the case is underway.

Austria: Afghan arrested for rape of 15-year-old girl
A girl was allegedly raped after an Oktoberfest in eastern Styria. She shared a taxi with her alleged tormentor. The Afghan (31) denies the crime.
Whether by chance or not is unclear. What is certain is that a teenager (15) shared a taxi with a man (31) at 3 a.m. in mid-September after the Oktoberfest in eastern Styria, as has now become known. When the girl arrived at home, the Afghan apparently simply got out of the taxi with her. This is when the sexual assault allegedly took place, as the police confirmed to the Austrian Press Agency (APA). The girl reported the man, who was arrested a few days later. The Afghan is currently being held in custody at the Graz-Jakomini prison, but he denies having assaulted the teenager.
Radical Muslims target Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami for posting Hindu greetings, school him on Islam and demand fatwa
The Hindu festival of Dussehra, which represents the triumph of virtue over evil, is being celebrated across the country today with much grandeur and devotion. While many celebrities took to their social media accounts to wish citizens a Happy Dussehra, cricketer Mohammed Shami who is currently in the news for the T20 World Cup selections also shared good wishes on the occasion. However, the Islamists didn’t like it and slammed Shami for celebrating the Hindu festival and accused him of going against his religion for his career.
On Wednesday, Mohammed Shami shared an image of Lord Rama killing the Ravana and greeted people on Dussehra. “On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, I pray that Lord Ram fills your life with lots of prosperity, success and happiness. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Dussehra”, he tweeted.
The Islamist netizens didn’t like the post shared by Shami and scolded him for going against his religion. Radical netizens also schooled him about Islam and indicated that it was a sin for Muslims to share wishes on Dussehra. One of the twitter users named Akeel Bhatti commented on Shami’s post and said, “Shame on Shami. Are you a Muslim?”.
Another one with a handle named Ibn-e-Ahmed accused him of using the occasion to be a part of Indian Cricket Team in the T20 World Cup. “Team nahi lenge bhai (They’ll still not take you in the team)”, the user said. Also, one named Aman Mirza stated that the Cricketer had lost his mind. “May Allah Guide”, he wished.
Shami has not been a part of the Indian Cricket Team for long now and is in the news amid the T20 World Cup. The Indian Cricket team selectors are thinking to replace the ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah with Mohammed Shami for the mega tournament, provided the latter has completely recovered from the after-effects of COVID-19. Islamists netizens happened to school Sayema and said, “It’s unislamic to wish in Dussehra”. Some also called her jahil (ignorant fool).
Reports mention that the cricketer Mohammed Shami is facing fitness-related issues after he was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. The national selectors and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are set to defer the announcement of a replacement for Jasprit Bumrah with Shami provided his health shows positive signs of improvement.

Well meant, badly done: Hesse’s Social Democratic Party (SPD) congratulated the Jews on Yom Kippur ( October 4-5) on Facebook – but showed a photo of the Dome of the Rock!
Although the building is in Jerusalem, it is one of the main Islamic shrines.
But that’s not all: according to some researchers, the Dome of the Rock was built to show the triumph of Islam over Judaism and Christianity.
On Wednesday morning, the post had already been online for 12 hours. Accordingly, many outraged commentators already commented on the post!

Gronich added: “Perhaps the SPD Hesse would do better to promote a corresponding educational initiative to better and more vividly convey Jewish life in society? There is an urgent need for action here, as only a survey conducted in autumn 2021 by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and Orthodox Rabbinical Conference Germany (ORD) found:Concerning history, politics and anti-Semitism, the view of current Jewish life is lost or hardly exists.
And: “The view of Judaism often remains a view from the outside or is even anti-Semitic, often through ignorance. According to the survey, almost every second German has never had direct contact with Jewish life.
UN Grants Prize to Merkel Over Handling of Migrant Crisis
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has granted its Nansen Prize to former German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her handling of the 2015 migrant crisis, praising her for taking in over a million asylum seekers.
Filippo Grandi, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, lavished praise for the former German leader stating, “By helping more than a million refugees to survive and rebuild, Angela Merkel displayed great moral and political courage.”
“It was true leadership, appealing to our common humanity, standing firm against those who preached fear and discrimination. She showed what can be achieved when politicians take the right course of action and work to find solutions to the world’s challenges rather than simply shift responsibility to others,” Grandi added according to a press release from the UNHCR.
According to the Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, the prize received by Merkel also comes with around $150,000 of cash.
The UNHCR also praised Merkel for ” employment schemes and labour market integration” of Syrian asylum seekers, however, data from 2019 revealed that as many as65 per cent of the asylum seekers who came during the migrant crisis remained unemployed.
Of those who were employed, around a fifth were working “mini-jobs” and those working full-time earned just 1,564 euros a month on average.
A report from that same year also revealed another legacy of Merkel’s rule in Germany, in that Germans were far more likely to be victims of crime by migrant perpetrators than the other way around.
“In the area of murder and manslaughter, 230 Germans fell victim to a criminal offence in which at least one suspected immigrant was involved,” the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) reported and noted that during the same period 33 asylum seekers were victims of murder or manslaughter involving a suspect with German citizenship.
The enduring legacy of Merkel’s migration policies has also radically transformed the demographics of the country to the extent that over a quarter of all residents in the country now come from migration backgrounds, totalling around 22.3 million people.
Among young people, the situation is even starker with nearly half of children under the age of six in Western Germany coming from a migrant background. In 2017, under Merkel’s leadership, the city of Frankfurt became the first major German city in which more than half of the residents were from migrant backgrounds, putting native Germans in the minority.
